Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Right Here Waiting For You ❯ Chapter 23 ( Chapter 23 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
~Story Start~
The wind from both Tornado Fists sent hard gusts of wind around the stadium, the dust from the debris from earlier attacks whipping around in the wind. However, none of us really took notice of it, and I was too preoccupied with keeping my eyes on Jin and Yusuke's forms than to keep my hair down from flying all over the place. I wasn't even able to listen to what the Masked Fighter and Hiei, and Botan and Kuwabara had to say, which was rather surprising. But who could blame me? I wasn’t able to concentrate, thanks to the massive Spirit Energy spilling from Yusuke's form. The Energy swirling around, like wisps of smoke, like my Shadow Fists, coiling and dissipating into the strong wind before shooting up into the sky. My hands were clenched around my knees once again, seeing Jin pick up speed, becoming so fast that a tornado formed around him as he neared, and I couldn't help but bite my lip out of anxiousness.
“Tornado Fist!” Jin's voice shouted from the raging twister, sending a punch towards Yusuke's face. I almost began to close my eyes, but stopped when Yusuke's hand shot forward, catching Jin's fist. “What are ya doin' now, Yusuke? Tornado in a hand no one does!” He shouted, his eyes wide with surprise and shock.
(A/N: Believe me, I listened to that 30 times and could not understand what he said -_-;.)
Yusuke didn't answer, mostly because he was trying to keep his balance, while I was trying to understand if that's what he actually said because that didn't really sound right. At all. However, Jin's weird sayings were not on my mind right now, I just watched with wide, awe filled eyes when I saw Yusuke holding his own against the force of Jin's attack. His feet were set firm onto the ground, but that didn't stop him from sliding, taking up some of the tiles of the ring with him as he went backwards. It was hard thought, despite how easy he was making it look, even some of his shirt was destroyed because he was trying to stay in close range with Jin. Now that I think about it, didn't the masked fighter say that this was some kind of Spirit Wave technique or something? It must be needed at close range if Yusuke was risking his life just to keep Jin close enough to send a point blank shot. I just hope he'll be all right...
Suddenly, more blue Spirit Energy rose from Yusuke's body, his Energy increasing once again. Gripping Jin's fist tightly, throwing it to the side as he let it go, breaking the Tornado Fist. Jin stared in shock, letting out a small shout of surprise My eyes widened slightly at that, but a smirk soon fell on my lips. With Yusuke actually thinking ahead this time, we might actually win this! I let out a silent sigh of relief, I don't think I could have handled my teams death on my conscience. Well I don't know who would, seeing as that's just dick move right there.
“Yusuke hammers Jin's right fist away, disabling his first attack. But there's still another Tornado Fist in his arsenal.” Koto announced with wide eyes.
Gritting his teeth as he growled slightly in annoyance, Jin pulled back his left Tornado Fist. “This is good bye!” He shouted as he swung his left fist towards Yusuke's still form.
Yusuke's eyes widened, and I did as well. Even if Yusuke has really high Spirit Energy, that doesn’t mean that he still can't be knocked out by that damn thing! Yusuke got a serious look, wiping away the surprised the expression as he lifted his left foot. A loud hit echoes around the stadium as Yusuke's foot caught Jin's left hand, making it stop. Yusuke let out grunts as he kept himself standing, his eyes narrowing even more. Despite the good turn of events, I got a blank look on my face. Everyone just loves to worry me, don't they? Sometimes I wish I could be as non-caring as Hiei is, just so I don't have to fucking scare the shit out of myself for nothing. Although, being as emotionless as Hiei is kind of scary...you know what? Never mind, I take back what I said...
“Blocking it again!” Jin shouted in surprise, eyes wide once again.
My eyes snapped back to the fight, watching as Yusuke kicked Jin's hand away, making the Tornado Fist dissipate just like the last one did. Regaining his balance, Yusuke clutched a glowing blue orb in his right hand. Turning his Narrowed gaze back onto Jin's form, Yusuke got into a slightly crouched position, kicking off the ground into a run. Everyone watched with intent gazes, seeing Yusuke pull back his fist, the blue orb flickering around like a flame, it growing stronger by the second.
“Spirit Wave!” Yusuke shouted, throwing the punch with such a great force that I grimaced at how that would feel. Not good, just to let you know.
Jin didn't have time to block, the powerful punch embedding itself into his stomach painfully. He let out a strangled noise, the two standing -and floating- motionless into the ring. However, when a bright blew light began to glow form underneath Yusuke's fist, we all knew that wasn't the end of the attack. And my -quite obvious- statement was only proven when Jin was sent flying through the air, a blue beam of Spirit Energy still against his abdomen. Letting out another shout of pain, Jin went sailing towards the crow. The others -minus Hiei and the Masked Fighter- were staring with wide eyes, while I was smiling like the Cheshire Cat, even if that's pretty mean. I mean, sure Jin is cool and I think he would be an awesome friend, but that was fucking awesome!
“Rocket ship spectacular!” Koto danced around, laughing happily, while I only rolled my eyes. She still fucking creeps me out... “Sorry guys, but at a punch party like that, a girl can't help but dance!” She said with a happy smile on her face.
*Really hope she doesn't do that again.* I thought with a blank look on my face.
Botan continued to stare with wide eyes, not looking down at the ningen's head that was on her legs. “Did you know he could do that?” She asked, her mouth open in slight awe, breaking me from my moment of annoyance.
“No way, he never tells me nothin'. I think he likes surprising people.” Kuwabara said, voice filled with pain.
“After that massive uppercut by Yusuke, Jin has yet to return from the sky. Could he be using his wind powers again? Is this marathon still not over?” Koto asked, her voice rising over the annoyed shouts of the crowd. Not that I could blame them, I want this match done with.
I let out an annoyed sigh. “It better be, or I'm going to be pissed.” I mumbled with an irk mark.
However, my annoyed thoughts were interrupted when my eyes caught the site of something. Turning my head towards the upper part of the stadium, I saw Shizuru and Keiko get up from their seats. My eyes narrowed slightly at that, where were they going? If I was a ningen I wouldn't want to wonder anywhere where those perverted youkai could get me alone. Sure not all of them are perverts, but I've had a fair share of them come my way, and lets just say that some can't be legally called guys anymore...(*Coughs awkwardly*). ...Yeah, guys shouldn't do that to me or they'll really regret it. I'm actually pretty surprised that I didn't do anything to Kuwabara when he tried to hit on me, the guys a lucky bastard though, I'll give him that. All right, enough about that, how about we go back to the story :D?
“I wonder where they're going?” Botan asked, looking in the same direction as I was.
I shrugged with a sweat drop going down my head. “Don't know, but they got out of their seats pretty fast.” I said, seeing them already almost halfway around the stadium. Damn, ningens can be fast when they want to be.
Before Botan could say anything to that, a sudden sound met my ears. My eyes snapped to the sky above where Keiko and Shizuru had previously been, and they widened. Coming down at an alarming speed was Jin, the force of him coming down was in the form of a red orb around his body as he neared the crowd. A second later, Jin's body crashed into the crowd of youkai, a huge cloud of smoke lifting into the air at the crash. As Jin's body rolled off the seats, he broke the floor and seats, taking down a few youkai with him as well. Everyone stared with wide eyes -although I'm not sure about the two that shall not be named...-, their mouths opened in shock. Despite the shouts of the youkai in the crowds, we all were quiet, no one able to say a word.
“Damn!” I shouted, my mouth open in awe. All right, apparently not everyone...
Yusuke suddenly stepped forward, making me turn to him, seeing his eyes widen slightly. “Keiko?!” He shouted, and I couldn't help but smile at him, that's just adorable :D.
“Don't worry, Shizuru sensed it.” Botan said, looking at him.
I let out a sigh of relief, the smile washing it's off of my lips. “That's good, that really looked like it would have hurt.” I mumbled, grimacing at the thought of being run over and crushed by Jin. Damn...again.
Koto stepped back, her eyes narrowed. “Jin seems to be out cold, unable to use his wind powers to even break his fall!” Her eyes got out of their narrowed look and she ran forward, mumbling under her breath. “Gee, I better count.” I rolled my eyes slightly, well that would be the OBVIOUS thing to do. Dumb ass.
“Impressive.” Hiei spoke up, making me look over my shoulder at him. “I'd like to fight this 'Genkai' someday.” He said, glancing down at the Masked Fighter, and I rolled my eyes, always thinking about fighting. Typical.
“Yusuke did well for a first try, a Spirit Wave is a flexible move, similar to Yusuke's Shot Gun. It can make a large spread of fire from a distance, harder for an opponent to dodge, but not as damaging as a Spirit Gun. The true advantage of the Spirit Wave comes when it's shot point blank through a punch or kick. Genkai believes Yusuke has much to learn, but at least he did that right.” The Masked Fighter explained, eyes emotionless as always.
I smirked at that, even if Yusuke has a lot to learn, that really did a number on Jin. Turning to Yusuke, I punched my fist in the air. “That was fucking awesome! Go Yusuke!” I shouted, a big smile on my lips as I closed my eyes.
“...3!...4!”
All of us stared with anxious looks on our faces as Jin came to a stop. A large scar was across the seats, leaving us all -well actually only me- to wince slightly at how bad that must have hurt. All of the teams were silent as we continued to stare, but the youkai were making up for the noise. They were shouting boos and threats, wanting Jin to stand back up and take down Yusuke. However, I had to hide a smirk from falling on my lips when Jin didn't seem to respond. After getting punched in the gut like that, I doubt anyone could really wake up after that for a few days. Looking at the youkai in the stands, my smirked widened. Suck on that you bunch of fucking bastards, looks like we just won again! ...I am not sorry this time :D.
“5!...6!...7!...8!”
My eyes widened, and the smirk dropped from my lips. Jin heaved himself onto his feet, panting slightly as he looked down with a smirk. *I swear to whoever the fuck is up there that if he makes this match continue, I will slam my head against the fucking wall!* I thought with an irk mark on my temple, my right eye twitching rapidly.
“9!”
“Hold it right there, Urameshi. I'll be comin' in just a second.” Jin said with a pain filled smile, however, his eyes rolled to the back of his head as he fell forward. Another cloud of dust fell when Jin hit the ground, shooting forward, landing at the wall that blocked the crowd from the grass.
“10! And with a knock out by ring out, Team Urameshi takes their fourth win!” Koto said, pointing to Yusuke.
Yusuke let out a breath of relief, a smirk coming to his lips as he looked in Jin's direction. “Well, that was a damn good fight, Jin. Nice to know I'm not the only freak around, maybe we'll hang out if you ever wake up.” He said, making me stare at him blankly, but what could I do? This was Yusuke we're talking about here, this is nothing new.
“And he's even made a friend.” Botan said happily, putting her hands together as she smiled.
“Yep, nothing sounds more like friendship than a punch to the gut and a few broken ribs.” I said sarcastically as I got up shakily, walking over to her, but I was smiling as well, staring at the spot where Jin laid. That still looks like it hurt, I hope he'll be all right...
Botan let out a laugh, but that quickly died away when the youkai in the stands behind us began to boo. Letting out a growl of anger, Botan ran towards the stand, kicking the wall out of anger. “I swear, can we not have on eensy moment of positivity around here?!” She shouted, an irk mark on her temple.
I sweat dropped, inching away from her slightly. No matter how strong I am, Botan scares the shit out of me when she's pissed. Seeing as how this was one of those moments, I wanted to be as guarded as I could. Sure Botan wouldn't try to kill me or anything, but that didn't mean that she couldn't try and hurt me if she got too angry. Ignoring the sweat drop that Kurama and Kuwabara got, I turned back to the ring. The crowd had finally stopped booing long enough for me to hear what was going to happen. Although they were still loud enough to make me grow annoyed, damn bastards can get over it. Geez...
“Will the last member of Team Masho please step into the ring?” Koto asked, pointing towards our opponents...err, opponent. The last member -the man with the red diamond on his hood-, stepped forward onto the ring, and we all watched as he stood just inches away from Yusuke at the center. “Slap on your game hats boys, this decides the round.” She instructed
“Now lets see what this meanie looks like.” Botan said with a glare in her eyes, her fist clenched tight.
I got a blank look, turning to her. “'Really, Botan? 'Meanie'?” I asked.
Botan threw me a look and I laughed nervously, rubbing the back of my head as I sweat dropped. Note to Self: Shut up when Botan's in a bad mood. Growing serious once again, I looked back at the ring, narrowing my eyes on the last man. Risho. Despite my idiotic moment, I did want to know what he looked like. Watching as Risho took off his hood, we all looked to see a man with shiny, neck length, black hair, parted down the middle. He was a rather thin young man, but with a well built posture and healthy skin color. As for his clothing, Risho wore black pants and shirt, with an orange sash around his shoulder, and a yellow obi-sash around his waist. Both sashes bore red gemstones, with his belt having one in the middle and two others being placed on his shoulders.
“Sorry to say, Yusuke Urameshi, but you're going to die without ever laying a finger on me.” Risho said with a cocky smirk on his lips.
I grimaced at the sight of him, very disappointed that he wasn't good looking at all. “Ew, this guy is ugly! Bring Jin and Toya back!” I shouted with my hands cupped over my mouth, ignoring the blank -and annoyed- looks sent in my direction. What? He was ugly...
Risho glared at me. “Annoying little brat.” He growled under his breath, seeing Yusuke laughing slightly.
“Yeah, yeah, fuck you too.” I rolled my eyes, seeing the glare worsen, making him uglier than normal. “God dammit, lets get this over with, you're painful to look at!” I shouted annoyed, geez...
Koto took that as a good way to start, and threw her hand down. “Begin!”
Yusuke narrowed his eyes at Risho, turning serious once again. “Don't think I forgot what you said, I'm kicking your ass out of principle!” He shouted, running towards Risho with his fists clenched and ready to be thrown.
“Stop the fight immediately.” The monotonous women's voice announced loudly over the shouts of the youkai. making Yusuke fumble. Losing his footing, Yusuke tripped over his own feet, falling on his face. Ooh...
My right eye twitched heavily, remembering that voice all too well. “Fucking hell!” SMACK! “Ow...” I mumbled, bringing my head back from the small crack in the wall. Note to Self: Never think about smacking your head against a wall ever again. They hurt really, really bad. T.T
“Stop the fight? What for?” Botan asked ignoring me, her eyes widening in confusion.
Kurama looked up at the intercom, his eyes narrowing slightly at it. “They're up to something.” He said, his voice still coating in pain.
“Tournament Committee, please clarify.” Koto looked up with a confused look as well. “Why have you interrupted this fight?” She asked, huh, so she really meant what she said about not having anything to do with their decisions.
“Yeah, more importantly, why'd you make me look like a fool?” Yusuke asked, glaring at them annoyed.
I rubbed my red forehead, turning my narrowed gaze back up at the intercom. “Upon reviewing the film of the last fight, it has been discovered that Koto delayed her ten count significantly during Yusuke's first ring out.” She said, and I resisted the urge to smack my head once again.
This seemed to make Koto even more shocked and confused than any of us. “Since when do we pay attention to that?” She asked, putting her finger to her cheek as if to add to the affect.
“Therefore, by complete unanimous decision-” The woman started.
Koto lowered her microphone slightly. “they tell me to delay.” She said slowly, and I threw a look over at her. They TELL her to delay?! I really fucking hate this god damned Tournament!
“-the fight between Yusuke and Jin has been ruled a double loss. And therefore Yusuke is ineligible to fight for the duration of the round.” The woman finished, and the whole crowd was filled with confused talk.
I swear that everyone's -but the two obvious ones- mouths open in shock at the announcement. Despite the crowd's loud voices raising, everyone on the grass was dead quiet. Although not all of us were doing it for the same reason. Risho was smirking victoriously at us, making me glare at him heatedly. Damn him and his team! It's as if he knew that this was going to happen! My fists were clenched tightly at my sides, my nails digging into my palms quiet painfully, but I was too pissed to even care. Too much shit has happened today, and now this?! I was not going to let this happen, if the match goes to Team Masho, we'll die!
“Are you fucking kidding me?!” I shouted angrily.
Botan growled, throwing her arms around in a dramatic and animated fashion. “Well that's just the biggest crap job I've ever heard in my life!” She shouted, her tone just as angry as mine.
I turned to her. “Thank you!” I shouted.
Turning my angered gaze back to the ring, I let my glare soften when I saw Yusuke's expression. His held confusion and shock, his mouth and eyes wide open. “How can this be over? I didn't even get to start.” He asked himself, sweat trickling down his temple.
I frowned slightly, staring at my ningen friend. This was not looking good, even though that was very obvious from the beginning of this whole stupid fucking match, but right now we were down right screwed. And hearing a snicker from our enemy was NOT helping my mood at all right now thank you very much! Turning my renewed glare to Risho, I saw a smirk on his lips, his arms crossed over his chest cockily. Right now, I don't think I could have been more pissed off. This guy better sleep with one eye fucking open or he was going to get a Katana through is eye socket and out his ass. I'm not even kidding.
“My condolences.” Risho said sarcastically, making me glare harder. My eyes, however, were diverted when I heard the sound of something smacking against the ring floor. Looking towards Koto, I saw her staring in shock, her microphone on the floor before her. “Why are you waiting Koto? Bestow our team with the victory.” He said, a tone in his voice that said if she didn't, she would regret it.
Koto didn't say anything, and I let my narrowed eyes rest on her. Watching her as Koto got to her knees, picking up her microphone, I saw the angered look come to her eyes. “As an experienced officiator, and as a lover of this Tournament, I must object!” She shouted as she stood up.
“There will be no further deliberation.” The woman said firmly.
That did it! “Oh, go to hell you fucking bitch, you better change what you said or I'm coming up to slit your throat!” I shouted angrily and heatedly, blood beginning to form from under my nails as the pressure began to grow on them.
{Onna, calm down.} Hiei's voice echoed through my head.
No matter how calming his voice was before, nothing could make me do that now. *How can I?! We're going to die here Hiei, or have you not noticed that?!* I growled, my breathing beginning to pick up slightly.
Hiei resisted the urge to roll his eyes. {No we're not, stop overreacting.} He said calmly.
I scoffed silently. *Oh yes, because being killed is not something to be worried about.* I thought sarcastically back.
{It's not.} He responded, now annoyed.
*Care to explain? Because I would love to hear it.* I thought, but grimaced shortly after. I really do need to stop acting like a total bitch when I'm scared, I'm about to punch myself in the face right now. *Sorry, I'm just scared.* My mind's voice mumbled as I let out a soft sigh.
{Don't be.}
*Again, care to explain why?*
Hiei let out a sigh of his own, his eyes closing. {I won't let our team be disqualified, that's why, Baka.}
I smirked slightly, my fists unclenching, I knew Hiei cared about our team. Not saying anything else, I finally unclenched my fists all together. Turning back to the ring, my eyes suddenly widened when I saw Toya stumble towards the ring, holding his wound. However, I let out a sigh of relief, I was glad that he wasn't dead. Toya was awesome, even though he tried to kill Kurama. ...What? I bet a lot of you like him too, so you all can shut up and leave me alone! ...Jerks.
“Risho, this deceit has gone too far, don't you see it will make a mockery of their sacrifices?” He climbed into the ring, stumbling towards Risho. “Gama willfully gave his life so we could win, not cheat our way out.” He said, staring up at the taller man with a pleading look.
“Ha, spare me your romantic drivel, Toya.” Risho looked over his shoulder, eyes narrowing when Toya glared at him. “He fought for the light, now we're going to enjoy it.” He said, a growl in his voice, and I glared as well.
“But honor!” Toya shouted pleadingly.
Risho's glare hardened and he gritted his teeth. Holding out his right arm, gray dust began to appear around his arm, it slowly hardening into stone. “Nonsense!” He shouted, slamming his rock covered hand into Toya's stomach, making blood fly from his lips as he flew back, sliding across the grassy ground. Unconscious.
“Fucking bastard!” I growled out, how could he do that to his own teammate?!
Risho, however, ignored me, crossing his arms over his chest as he smirked. “We must always keep our eyes on the final goal, Toya, that's why I am the leader and you are the grunt.” Turning to Koto who stared at him with fear filled eyes, Risho walked towards her with an evil smirk. . “And now, as for you Koto, do you really think it's wise to be on the ningen's side in this stadium? Keep the resistance, and I have a feeling you won't be officiating much longer.” He warned, his smirk growing wider.
“What? But this is my show!” Koto backed away from him. But she stopped, seeing someone put their arm in front of her. “Huh?” She mumbled, turning to see Yusuke standing there.
Yusuke's eyes were narrowed dangerously. “You know, you seem really anxious to intimidate everyone but me.” His brown eyes only narrowed more when Risho only smirked at him cockily. “What do you think that means?” He asked with a deadly growl in his voice.
“It means he's a cowardly bitch!” I shouted, putting my two scents in.
Suppressing a smirk, Yusuke continued to glare at him heatedly. “Come on!” He shouted at the smirking man.
“Detective, don't waste your time trying to change their minds.” Hiei's Spirit Energy rose, black flames forming around his form. “Fight by their meaningless rules and you'll be pulled down with them. There is only one real law of the Dark Tournament, the strongest man prevails.” Clutching a red orb in his hand, Hiei's eyes flashed dangerously. “I've retrieved enough Energy to rip my way out. Let's show this entire stadium the new definition for victory.” He said, his smirk growing and I gave him a small smile.
*So, I guess this is your plan?* I asked sarcastically, but I was still smiling.
Hiei's smirk only widened slightly.
Yusuke clenched his fist, and I turned to him, my smile dropping. “They're gonna kill us anyway, so why don't we take on every damn freak 'til no one's left? It sounds good to me, I'm already about to go off.” He said, a smirk in his voice as well.
The sudden rising of Spirit Energy made my skin tingle slightly, never feeling so much at once. However, I looked at Hiei as more and more rose, making me stare at him in awe. I knew that Hiei was strong and had a lot of Spirit Energy, but I didn't know that he had this much. He probably has as much as Yusuke does, and the kid -despite being a ningen- has a shit load of it. ...Ew. Anyway, getting away from that visual, I heard Ruka shout out. Her cords covering her torso and thighs began to snap, and she was sent back, sitting on the ground with wide fear filled eyes. Her hands clutched around her chest. Oh, now she decides to cover herself up. Whore.
“I can hold him off any longer, the Enchantress Cords holding my power, his Energy is tearing them apart. A couple more minutes like this and there won't be any of them left!” Ruka shouted, her eyes widening more and more by the second, and I rolled my eyes. Wow, way to announce it discreetly there.
“Uh...” A random youkai started. “I don't wanna sound like a traitor or anything, but maybe we should cheer for Hiei.” He said, and I got an irk mark, they're all a bunch of perverts no matter what some might say.
“Uh huh.” Another one nodded. Yep, perverts.
“Oh!” Koto's distressed voice suddenly rose above the shouts of the youkai, and I turned, seeing her put her hand on her hips. “I absolutely hate to see such a good competitor go out of the games without a chance to inflict pain on someone. But, due to Yusuke's ineligibility and as there are no other members on his team available to fight, and as Team Masho still has a competitor, by forfeit the winner of the round is-”
Yusuke kicked off into a run, letting out an anger filled yell as he ran towards Risho, fist clenched and ready. But, once again, he stumbled when someone shouted. “Hold it right there!” Stopping on a dime, Yusuke turned around, eyes narrowed in confusion.
Our eyes -except...you know who- widened when we saw who had shouted that life saving short sentence. Kuwabara. He was on his feet, his eyes narrowed into a serious glare, their sites on Risho. His fist were clenched tightly by his side, and I stared at him in shock. Didn't he have broken ribs, how the fuck was he able to stand at all right now?! Before he couldn't even sit up without crying out in pain. However, I smiled at him happily, if he was able to get up and fight, then that means that we can still win! ...Although, I wasn't sure if he was even healed at all, the poor guy got quite a beating not that long ago.
“We still got one more fighter on our team.” Kuwabara' s tone was as serious as his expression, and he tore away his white undershirt, discarding it to the side. “Let's go!” He shouted, eyes narrowing even more.
“You're kidding me!” Yusuke shouted, eyes wide.
Botan narrowed her eyes “The boy can't even walk without doubling over, as the team trainer I must say this is a ridiculous idea!” She shouted, fist clenched tightly.
“Interesting.” Kurama mumbled, staring at Kuwabara.
I blinked, still in slight shock. “No shit this is interesting, the guys got a lot of balls to fight with broken ribs.” I mumbled, ignoring the stares that were on me. What? It was true, if I had broken ribs I wouldn't want to move ever again.
“Pointless.” Hiei mumbled bluntly.
“Again.” I looked over at Hiei with a blank look. “You two are best friends. Seriously.” I said with a smirk when Hiei rolled his eyes at me. Aw, the fun times I have with Hiei :D.
However, my smirk dropped when I looked back at Kuwabara, only glancing slightly when a guard called for Botan. I wasn't sure where she was going, but I hope that she was going to be okay and the committee wasn't try to pull anything else today. Looking back at Kuwabara, I frowned nervously, seeing him panting slightly in pain. He was slouching forward, and I could tell that he was using every ounce of his strength to keep himself from stranding and crying out in pain. I swear if he gets himself killed in his fight, then I will go on a rampage with Hiei and Yusuke and kill every last one of those Committee assholes until they're unrecognizable. Not kidding.
“I can handle this you guys.” Kuwabara narrowed his eyes, seeing -and hearing- our doubtfulness, besides mine however because I'm nice :D. “Remember that lady from the medical tent took Hiei and the Masked Fighter off and said I was okay.” He said, jabbing his thumb towards himself.
“Stupid, 'cause she's not a nurse!” Yusuke shouted from the ring.
Kuwabara narrowed his eyes in annoyance as he looked at Yusuke. “Don't confuse the issue, the point here is that I'm still eligible to fight and I'm the only one. “He said, what he said was true, he was the only 'fit' person on this team that could still fight. ...More or less.
“Yes, but eligible and able are two different words.” Hiei saw me turn to him and open my mouth, and he narrowed his eyes. “Shut up, Onna.” He said with a growl, an irk mark beginning to form.
I held up my hands in defense. “I said nothing.” I said, a smirk playing on my lips.
“You shut up, Shrimp!” Kuwabara shouted as he glared, stepping forward, but he painful cracking of his bones made him stop and hold his torso in pain. Falling to his knees, Kuwabara bit his lip to keep from screaming out in pain once again.
Yusuke narrowed his eyes worriedly and he ran off the ring, landing in front of Kuwabara. “See, you're in no shape!” He shouted, staring down at the withering ningen.
Despite the pain, Kuwabara looked up. “I'm going, Urameshi, unless you wanna kill me yourself!” A stunned silence fell between the two, and I looked around awkwardly. I hate silences. “I know these guys are cheating us, I know you're angry, and heck I know what happens when we lose! But if you and Hiei go on some tirade destroying people 'til you get your way, you'll be just like them! Let's win this thing clean-”
“-like men.” Yusuke finished, his eyes softening slightly.
Hiei crossed his arms, a blank look on his face. “How touching.” He said sarcastically, making me laugh.
“Bite my ankles, Shorty!” Kuwabara glared, an mad face appearing as an irk mark erupted on his temple, making me laugh even harder. “I swear I'll make you cry to your mom, if you have a mom that is!” He shouted annoyed.
Hiei only ignored him, as usual.
Getting over my laughing fit, I turned to Kuwabara's form. He was still kneeling, and despite the funny moment just moments ago, I couldn't help but notice that more pain was still there. “Are you sure you want to, Kuwabara? You're hurt, what if you get killed?” I asked worriedly, walking over to him, not noticing an eye roll from behind me.
“Yeah, I'm sure.” Kuwabara nodded, grunting as he stood up. “If I don't, then there's no one else who can. I'm not gonna make us lose again, we didn't just come here to die.” He said seriously, glaring at Risho's form.
I looked over at the ring as well, my eyes narrowed onto Risho's smirking form. I clenched my teeth slightly, my hands curling into fists once again. Just looking at the mother fucker pissed me off to no end, it only being worse that he was acting all high and mighty, and I hate those people more than anything. God dammit I really hate that guy, someone needs to fucking kill him too. I hope Kuwabara does it, that would be awesome. Although, I can tell that doesn't happen. Dammit...
“All right, just make sure you come out of the fight alive, k?” I asked, turning back to him.
Kuwabara let out a pain filled smirk. “Got it.”
It was silent after that, all of us watching as Kuwabara stood up straight, his eyes narrowed determinedly. Walking forward, I could notice the pain that was filling him by just doing that. His steps were sometimes short and it looked like he was limping, but he would cover that up by making him walk in a long stride. Watching him get into the ring -painfully might I add-, Kuwabara let out pain filled pants, making me grow worried for him once again. I really hope he'll be all right.
“What fantastic will!” Koto's voice broke me from my worrying, and I looked, seeing Kuwabara standing a good distance away from the bastard. “The visibly hammered fighter has limped into the ring, preventing his team's elimination! But can this hackered boy compete against Team Masho's leader?” She asked.
Kuwabara glared at Risho, his body shaking slightly from the pain. “We men go down with honor!” He said with a growl in his voice, while Risho only smirked mockingly.
“Fighter's please report to the center!” Koto instructed.
“Right!” Kuwabara walked forward, however, his ribs cracked once again. Beginning to sink to his knees, Kuwabara caught himself and forced himself to stand up again. Walking as his bones cracked even more, I grimaced at the popping sounds as they reached my ears.
“It's dismal, but at least he will buy us some time to consider our options.” Kurama stated, his eyes narrowed worriedly on the ningen's form as he walked forward.
“He's killing himself.” Yusuke mumbled, his fist clenching as he shook slightly.
Risho watched as Kuwabara stopped a few feet in front of him, seeing Kuwabara's small smile form on his lips. Finding it completely comical, he smirked. “Your heroics are quite misplaced, all you'll win is a grave.” He said, his smirk widening.
*I hate this guy.* I growled to myself.
Hearing the mocking tone in Risho's voice, Kuwabara stood up straighter. “Just keep talking cheater, I'll just make it more tough on ya!” Kuwabara shouted, his eyes narrowing into a deep and dangerous glare, catching Risho's. Electricity seemed to fly between the two, and I now understood how it must feel to watch Hiei and I when we fight sometimes. But this was actually deadly.
“Final fight and for the win, Kuwabara vs Risho!” Koto looked between the two for a second, raising her arm. “Begin!” She shouted, throwing her arm down, signaling the start.
Risho's smirk finally died away from his lips and he got into a fighting stance, eyes narrowing. Kuwabara did as well, fixing his stance to keep his body slightly pain free, clenching his hands into tight fists. Seeing the look of determination in Kuwabara's eyes, I knew that he wasn't going to let Risho win without a good fight. Hell, the guy had a fucking broken torso and he was fighting, that was bad ass no matter what anyone says. I knew he was going to win, and I knew that we could trust him. Rooting for Kuwabara silently, I threw a cold glare in Risho's direction. Hoping that the fucking bastard got his face punched in before this match was out, or I was so going to be pissed.
No, I'm serious, I will be pissed.
Ending it here! Sorry that it took a lot longer than I said it would be today, but I had some Community Service to do, and that took up a few hours, but I finished it! I hope you all liked it! Before I go I want to thank Ninja-Demon-Angel for her amazing message, it really made me crack down on this, so thank you again! Bye everyone!

{Don't be.}
*Again, care to explain why?*
Hiei let out a sigh of his own, his eyes closing. {I won't let our team be disqualified, that's why, Baka.}
