~*~*~*Story Start*~*~*~

Everything was eerily silent, none of the youkai were shouting death threats or boos, nothing was leaving there lips as they stared down intensely at the two fighters in the ring. It was unnerving, the silence in the air, the narrowed stares that were coming from the boys next to me, and the sudden appearance of five strong Spirit Energies. I had to only glance to see who they were; Kane, Toguro, that freaky little guy on his shoulder, the long black haired man with a thing over his face and the freakishly tall armored man. They were looking at Genkai, but I could feel the heated glare on my back from Kane, apparently not happy to see me. It was nice to know that we felt the same way. Not. I couldn't give a fuck about how much he hated me, I did nothing wrong while the fucking bastard killed my parents, he can go shove a stick up his ass for all I care. Looking back in the ring, I saw the fighters had yet to move or at least I thought so anyway.

Shishi brought his Banshee Shriek back down on the ground, dragging it in front of him before he began to twirl it. It was the same thing he did last chapter, and I could tell you that it was rather annoying to see it again. I crossed my arms, waiting for the match to officially start so I could watch Genkai beat the shit out of this guy because we all know he deserves it. Besides, it will show Hiei and Kurama what I had to go through, it hurt like hell! I swear she re-broke all my bones, causing me to stay under her care for another few months. Oh I can tell you that that wasn't fun, cause once I was done being healed I had to be in her debt! You do NOT want to be in debt with Genkai, ever! Especially if she could kick your ass if you didn't do that! But seeing that be done on Shishi -the ass kicking part- it seemed to make me feel a little less annoyed at the old woman -although I secretly think she's badass-. ...Although she was stronger a few years ago...

“So Shishi can twirl his Banshee Shriek as well as any band matron I've ever seen, but will he shed any blood before he makes this fighter vanish?!” Koto suddenly asked, brining me out of my thoughts.

All of us focused on the fight, Koto's voice bringing us back into reality. I narrowed my eyes at the spinning sword, getting a very creepy feeling from it. It wasn't the feeling that I got about Genkai, but it was still creepy enough to make my skin crawl. But I knew that Genkai could handle it, well I hoped anyway because I could tell by the look on Hiei's face that he didn't really think so. Well the little fire bastard -hey a new name :D- is so going to be surprised when that happens, he'll know never to doubt me again. I quickly snapped out of my thoughts, not wanting to get distracted and miss something awesome. It was a good thing I did because when I faced the ring I heard a strange sound suddenly go off in my ears, and I grimaced as the noise got louder. It sounded like a thousand or so birds just chirping their asses off, or at least something like that.

An irk mark began to pulse on my temple. *First we have Shishi the arrogant prick up there spouting about being famous, and now there are fucking chirping bird noises going off, how fun.* I thought sarcastically.

“That noise doesn't sound so good!” Juri gasped, hearing it as well.

I just sweat dropped.

But we all stopped, feeling a sudden increase in Shishi's Spirit Energy. Turning our eyes quickly to the purple haired bastard, we saw mist white Spirit Energy swarm around his body, and I noticed that he got that really creepy look on his face again. You know, shrinking eyeballs, evil smirk, that 'I finally snapped' look on their face, yeah that look. Shishi was staring down Genkai with that same look, letting out a dark laugh as he continued to twirl his Banshee Shriek. Blue lightning began to fly from the blade and into the air. The lightning began to sway and swarm around like they were tentacles, and if I wasn't already annoyed with the fucking bird chirping sound, then I was fucking pissed off when I saw him using lightning. That is MY species, not his! ...Well only half of mine, but you know what I mean!

“I can't begin to describe the sound coming from Shishi's sword!” Koto cringed at the noise. “It feels like my ears are bleeding and now it's draining the life out right out of the audience, causing them to collapse! This kind of violence just isn't fun because it's happening to me!” She shouted/whined.

*Ha, she's weak enough for it to actually hurt her.* I thought with a smirk on my lips.

Hiei glanced at me with an amused look on his face. {Weren't you complaining about it as well, Onna?} I froze at his familiar voice, a blush on my cheeks as I didn't reply. {That's what I thought.} He smirked.

My right eye twitched rapidly at that, and I glared at him. *Hiei, one more word and you will be subject to 24/7, non-stop thought waves from your's truly, and I will guarantee almost all of your brain cells will be dead by the time I'm done with you.* I thought with an anime mad face.

Hiei sweat dropped.

I smirked. *I'm glad we've come to an understanding.* I thought feeling better. I win again :D.

“Did you know the shrill call of the reaper steals the lives of those weak souls unable to resist its siren song?” Shishi smirked as the blade kept spinning above his head, but Genkai just stared at him blankly. “I, myself, think it's sounds more like a choir of singing Cherubs. But what matters is how it sounds to you, right Genkai?!” He shouted, his horns and fangs now appearing as more of his sanity slipped away.

Shishi let out a mad laugh, his eyes shrinking to an almost miniscule size that even my youkai eyes couldn't begin to see. Despite the serious situation being presented to me, I couldn’t help but wonder if that hurt. ...What?! I mean come on, how could you not think that would hurt, your pupils are SHRiNKING for fuck's sake! ...Anyway, I watched with narrowed eyes as Shishi changed his position, taking the still spinning Banshee Shriek and placing it behind his back, the force of the spinning picking up the dirt that was on the ring. Ignoring Juri as she crouched on the floor whimpering, I wasn't liking the look that was on Shishi's face at all, considering now that Genkai was weaker than him, that meant that this wasn't going to be that easy to win. But I knew Genkai wouldn't let THAT guy win, no matter how weak her Spirit Energy got, I just hoped that she would at least make it out of the ring all right, without anything missing from her.

“Let it rip!” Shishi suddenly shouted, smirking widely.

“Beyblade!” Everyone looked at me blankly, and I stopped smiling. “...Sorry!” I called, sweat dropping.

Unsurprisingly, Shishi hadn't heard my...strange and unknown word, continuing on with his attack as if nothing had happened. The Banshee Shriek stopped spinning, pointing to the sky. A bright red glow appearing around it, as it spread out like Energy tentacles before curling around the blade once again. The glow then brightened, casting an orange glow all over the whole stadium, making me wince slightly. Shishi suddenly smirked at Genkai, jumping high into the air with his sword above his head, making Kurama and I gasp slightly. Genkai didn't flinch, she just got into a fighting stance as Shishi continue to fly high into the air, preparing to let down whatever attack he could. And Juri, she just ran away screaming like a little girl, but whatever she's not important. What WAS important was what ever the hell Shishi was going to do.

Shishi suddenly began to fall towards Genkai's form, who stared up at him emotionlessly. “Summoned from the depths of Reikai! The Chorus of a Thousand Skulls!” He shouted as he brought down his sword, and before we could see if he hit, a large cloud of debris exploded around them.

“Genkai!” I shouted worriedly, staring at the smoke.

But it wasn't any large cloud of smoke actually, a second later that proved me wrong in a very freaky way. Dull pink wisps of smoke began to fly through the air, and before I knew what had happened, large masses of flying pink, see through skulls began to fly around the stadium. Their mouths were open and letting out strange noises as they coiled around in the air. I stared at the large skulls, my mouth dropping open in shock and my eyes widening with slight fear. What?! Don't even start with me! If you saw fucking flying skulls appear all around you, you would be fucking scared shitless too, so shut up! But that wasn't the only reason why I was scared, I didn't forget about Genkai. If whatever Shishi did hit her, than she would be dead, no if, an's or but's about it. I swallowed thickly, not liking that thought at all.

I watched the large mass of smoke as it continued to expand, and out of my peripheral vision I saw Shishi fly out of the smoke. A smirk was on his lips and a dark chuckle like hiss left his lips, and that made me even more concerned. Kurama felt the same way, hearing him gasp as he saw Shishi jump away as well. But I also knew the gasp was for the skulls that were flying through the air around us. Hiei, Kurama and I adverted our eyes to the air above the ring, our eyes narrowed and guarded. I believed I heard about these things before, but I didn't know the specifics. All I knew was that they could easily kill whatever got in their way, and since we were in an enclosed stadium.... Well, lets just say that this might not be so fun.

Seeing the skulls suddenly fly behind us, Hiei, Kurama and I quickly turned around. We watched as the skulls flew into the shell-shocked audience, and watched as one blue youkai was suddenly killed, his neck and head completely gone once the skull grabbed a hold of him. The same act began to repeat itself, and the youkai that sat in the audience began to shout out in fear as they ran towards the exits. However, the more that ran the more that got eaten, and I grimaced at each youkai that got it's head bitten off. My hands instantly going to my neck out of instinct, my hands brushing against the bandages around it. I already hate having my neck touched enough as it is, I don't want another reason!

Kurama narrowed his eyes at the skulls. “Youkai souls stripped of their bodies. Its said their fury will destroy any living creature they touch. I advise using an Energy Barrier to ward them off.” He instructed seriously, his jade-hued eyes watching for any signs of them coming towards us.

I looked around as well, my eyes widening when I saw two coming towards our direction. “U-Uh...Kurama!” I shouted as I pointed behind us, making Hiei and Kurama quickly turn back around towards the ring.

Seeing the skulls gaining speed I let out a small shriek of fear before I hid behind Hiei, my hands clutching his shirt tightly. The next thing I knew, I heard two smacks from in front of me. Tentatively standing on my tip-toes, I looked over Hiei's shoulder to see that Hiei and Kurama had just...smacked the two youkai skulls away with their bare hands. My face was blank and I sweat dropped at that, noticing a contradiction in what Kurama had to say earlier.

“Wait a second.” I said, making both boys look at me as I stayed behind Hiei. “How the hell could you guys hit them without dieing? I thought you said those fucking, freaky ass things killed anything they touch?” I asked, raising an eyebrow at Kurama, who sweat dropped at my word choice.

Hiei got a blank look, staring down at me. “I think the better question is: Why are you still behind me, Onna?” He asked, mimicking my expression as he raised an eyebrow at me.

I opened my mouth to speak, to shout at him for ignoring my question. However, before I said anything, I noticed something about what he said. He was right that I was still behind him, but that wasn't it. I was standing on my tip-toes, to see OVER Hiei's shoulder. Blinking in surprise, I noticed that Hiei had actually gotten...taller. Suddenly blushing, I remembered that I had yet to move and I quickly did that, appearing far away from the both of them, my blush growing deeper. Stupid me for being scared of deadly skulls that could kill me with one touch!

Hoping to cover myself, I crossed my arms and look away from them. “I-I was guarding yo-you guys from behind.” I mumbled/lied horribly, my words spilling sloppily from my lips. Dammit me...

“And you were doing great...when you were holding Hiei as a shield.” Kurama said with a small smirk.

My mouth dropped open and I stared at Kurama with an appalled look on my face. “Why are you being so mean to me, Kurama!? You're my role model! I looked up to you! I worshiped you! And this is how you repay me?!” I shouted with anime tears falling down my cheeks, making both boys stare at me.

“You WORSHIPED him?” Hiei found himself asking, eyebrow raising.

I glanced at Hiei, shaking my head. “No, I thought that would make him feel bad.” Turning back to Kurama, I cocked my head to the side. “Did it?” I asked, blinking innocently up at him.

Kurama sweat dropped. “No.” He said blankly, making Hiei smirk.

I pouted. “Aw!”

Before Hiei or Kurama could tease me anymore, we heard the sound of feet hitting solid ground. Turning our gaze back at the ring, we realized how everything had calmed down during our little moment a few seconds ago. The crazy skulls had disappeared, and the smoke that had filled the stadium and slightly shrouded it in a grayish glow had vanished as well. Our eyes narrowed as we saw Shishi Wakamaru standing in the ring, his sanity seeming to fix itself after that crazy display. His fangs and horns had disappeared and his once grain sized eye had returned to their original size, letting us see the slightly pinkish color of them. But I also noticed something else, he was the only person in the ring. At first I didn't see Genkai anywhere, only seeing Shishi and a large crater in front of him, where Genkai and Juri had been. But I saw someone land behind Shishi softly, and I let out a silent sigh of relief when I saw Genkai standing there, facing Shishi's back.

Shishi held up his Banshee Shriek in once hand, as it it were some kind of award. “Now that you've witnessed the most awesome display of power ever unleashed at the Dark Tournament, there should be no debate about who the greatest showman is. Such impact on the audience, they will never forget the famous Shishi Wakamaru.” Slashing his sword downwards, I hid my laugh. “In killing the renowned Genkai, I've adopted her repute, posturing my status as a living legend. I've waited a long time for this, I only wish Genkai had been stronger so I could show my full power.” He said with a small laugh as he looked at the crater before him.

Juri's head suddenly poked up from behind the ring wall, staring at the hole with wide eyes. “That giant crater was right where I was standing! That means it could have been me who was blown apart!” She shouted, her eyes wide with tears of fear.

“I know how you feel, little girl, that could have been me, too.” Genkai spoke up suddenly.

All eyes but mine snapped to the small figure behind Shishi Wakamaru, seeing Genkai standing there without a scratch on her. Seeing that she was all right made me let out another sigh of relief, putting a hand to my heart as it 'beated' loudly. Sure I knew she was safe, but she could have been hurt. And I know I make it seem like I don't like her, but I find her to be fucking badass, of course I want her to be ok! ...But I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a familiar 'hmph' come from the fire youkai on my left, and I looked over at him, seeing him smirk. Letting out a small smile, he didn't think she was the enemy anymore. Aw.

“You still think she's weak?” Kurama asked with a smile of his own, not looking down at Hiei.

Hiei said nothing, but I continued to smile, mostly because I proved to Hiei that she was strong! ...Even though I never really said that I would tell him, but still I was happy so don't make me feel bad! Feeling very happy with myself, I looked back into the ring, my eyes landing on Genkai's form. She was standing there with a slight smirk on her face, and I could tell some good trash talking was coming soon. Turning my gaze -reluctantly might I add- over to Shishi, seeing him narrowing his pink eyes at the ningen psychic. He had this crazed look starting to appear on his face, I and rolled my eyes at him, oh here we go again. I could already tell this was going to involve him explaining why he 'deserves' to be famous or some other bull shit like that, someone better kill him or I swear someone is going to die!

“I'm surprised my sword's sound alone didn't kill you, you withered old hag.” Shishi spat, annoyed.

Genkai smirked even wider looking off to the side as she closed her eyes. “Yes, silly me, I must have forgotten to turn my hearing aid on.” Looking back at Shishi, she opened her eyes that showed a mocking look. “When you get to be a washed up old lady like me, the memory is the first to go.” She said sarcastically, and I smirked widely, ha.

“Shut up!” Shishi's glare intensified. “I won't be humiliated on my own stage! Don't think for a minute you can keep running from my Chorus of a Thousand Skulls! Either your luck or your knees are bound to give out in time!” He shouted, pointing his Banshee Shriek at her threateningly.

Genkai just stared.

The crowd erupted in nervous talk, drowning out any other noise that could have been inside the stadium. I looked at all of them, seeing the fear in their faces and in their eyes. Some began to shout, running away towards the exits while others followed behind. In no time youkai were shoving each other out of the way, shouting for their lives as it the skulls were back again, and all I could do was sweat drop and stare at them with a blank look on my face. They were such babies, sure they could get killed, but at least they know what we have to go through when they PICK us to fight just for THEIR enjoyment. The little fuckers can deal with it. But I had to admit that the ones that were still sitting in their seats were brave, but they were also the more sadistic and annoying out of the two groups. They loved pain so much they would rather die than miss any of the action.

“Such cowards.” I mumbled, glaring at them all as they continued to run.

Koto looked around in surprise. “Wow, hundreds of fans are fleeing the stadium in droves! Trying to get out of the way of Shishi's next violent attack! I have to admit I'm a little afraid myself of whats coming next, but I'm sticking around because we announcers have to be held to a higher standard! Wouldn't you agree, Juri?” Not hearing an answer back, Koto looked around. “Huh?! Juri, where are you?!” She shouted with wide eyes.

“Sit down and shut up you lilly-livered cowards!” A blue youkai shouted, arms crossed as he shook in fear.

A bull youkai next to him crossed his arms as well, shaking visibly. “Uh-huh! I'd rather die than the chance of seeing Genkai get what she deserves!” He shouted, and I shook my head with a sweat drop. Told you.

Koto heard those voices as well, looking around at the nervous looking youkai that continued to sit. “Looks like some dedicated fans are staying put in there seats to watch the carnage unfold! Of course it doesn't matter how many people are in the stands, this place is gonna gush blood as long as there's two fighters in the ring!” She announced, looking slightly surprised.

Ignoring the youkai and Koto, I watched the two fighters in the ring in silence, Kurama and Hiei doing the same. We stood there, our eyes focused and narrowed on their forms, and I waited for Shishi to go first. Why do I say that? Because Genkai never attacks first, which proves why she is going to win. I've fought with her before, I think I should know, and thinking about those memories made my bones ache slightly. Ow... But I stopped my pain-filled thoughts as I watched Shishi raise his Banshee Shriek, holding it in front of him. Pale yellow-ish green Energy began to form around him, and I bit my lip at the power, especially when it began to glow even brighter, and a light pink bubble appeared out of the mouth on Shishi's sword.

“The show goes on.” Shishi announced with a smirk.

The light pink bubble slipped out of it's mouth, and another followed suit, swirling around the sword a shock wave of that same sound echoed around the stadium. I grimaced at the sound, it didn't hurt, but it was really starting to get annoying. Didn't he have any other attacks with that fucking thing, or was that it? Knowing him, it was. And to add to my annoyance, the youkai in the stands began to shriek at the wails and cries of the dead as they reached their ears and they held their heads, withering at the pain. However, Hiei, Kurama and I remained completely silent, our focus never leaving the two in the ring. But I will admit that I wanted to blow up the fucking stadium so that they all would shut up and there wouldn't be a blocked off room so the noise wouldn't be that loud, but I can never get what I want. Thanks imaginary guys up there, thanks a lot.

“I should warn you that my sword knows many impressive tricks beyond the Chorus of a Thousand Skulls.” Shishi warned, a smirk on his lips, as if that would make Genkai fearful of him. Pff.

“Oh really?! Then why don't you use one of them?!” I shouted with an irk mark.

Genkai smirked slightly.

Ignoring the two of us, Shishi turned his blade towards the ground and grasped the handle with both hands. Raising it above his head, Shishi narrowed his eyes in concentration. “Surround us with the Cage of Hell!” He shouted, thrusting his sword into the ground.

“Well thank fucking god!” I threw my hands above my head, only to hold it when pain exploded against it. “Ow!” I shouted, throwing a glare at Hiei's, while Kurama sweat dropped.

But our attention was adverted a second later when a water like Energy formed around and under Shishi, rippling and moving as if we were in the ocean. The water spread out and went past Genkai, who only stood there as the power blew her hair and slightly ruffled her clothes. Walls that were barely two feet higher than Genkai rose from the ground with the same water-like appearance, yellow-ish foam appearing at the top. The 'water' itself was a dark purplish color

Shishi brought his sword from the ground, smirking at Genkai. “Run, run as fast as you like, you'll run out of breath before you can get out! There's no escape for you this time!” He shouted, laughing insanely with that crazed look on his face, almost drowning out the wails and cries.

“He's taken the disenfranchised cries of the dead and materialized them into an enclosure.” Kurama stated

“Ok, I'm kind of confused, Genkai can easily jump out of that thing, I mean it's not even that high.” I heard no reply, seeing Kurama sweat dropping, and I instantly looked behind me, seeing Hiei about to repeat the act. “Hit me again and I hit you!” I shouted, moving away from him with my hands covering my head protectively.

Shishi ignored our moment, continuing to smirk at Genkai. “It's one hell of a cage match, to the death!” He shouted, fangs appearing once again, and his eyes shrunk down to pea size once again.

Hearing the bastards voice reach my ears, and how stupid that line was, I couldn't control myself. “Boo!” I cupped my hands over my mouth, until they replaced themselves on my head on when I felt the familiar stinging sensation from earlier. “Ow! You fucker!” I shouted at Hiei, my right eye twitching.

Hiei put his hand back down. “Learn to be quiet and I won't have to do that.” He said easily, as if he did nothing wrong in the first place.

Bastard! “You are abusive!” I shouted, pointing at him accusingly.

Hiei glanced at me blankly, noticing the anime mad face I had on as I held the spot on the side of my head. “It's not abuse, it's discipline.” He said smoothly, and that made me blush slightly, damn his voice!

“Or tough love.” Kurama coughed quickly with a smirk, and that made Hiei and I grow quiet.

Turning back to the fight, I tried desperately to try and calm the burning blush that stained my white skin. I wasn't sure what Hiei was like right now, but he wasn't saying a word so I wasn't even going to try and look at him right now. Trying to focus on the loud wails of the dead and the rippling water of the Cage of Hell, I tried desperately to see what was happening so I would forget Kurama's 'helpful' comment that he just HAD to put in. ...Although that did give me something to think about, but right now this isn't about Hiei and I, so how about we just watch and see what happens to Genkai, all right? Good!

Shishi let out a gruff laugh, eyes shirking further. “Idealists like you, who fight for justice, make me wretch! Stardom is the purest fuel for strength, and that's how is should always be, you softies are only crowding the room!” He sneered at her, and I rolled my eyes at him, dear god someone shut him up!

“Where'd you get the impression I'm some kind of crime fighting hero? I thought you were familiar with my past?” Genkai asked, raising an eyebrow at Shishi.

Shishi glared harder at her. “Yes, like every other apparition in this stadium who cares one inkling for history, and the choice you're famous for is an insult I will replace! I will be a big star!” He shouted determinedly, his fangs showing and his bangs sticking up into the air like horns.

“I'm already am one, pretty boy, pay attention you'll learn something.” Genkai mocked.

“Shut up!” Shishi's sanity finally snapped at that remark, or it just broke even more. “You're worth nothing to me alive!” He shouted angrily.

Jumping into the air as he let out a growl of anger, Hiei, Kurama and I followed him with a narrowed gaze. He was high above the Cage of Hell and Genkai, his Banshee Shriek raised above his head ready to strike down at the small, older woman. Genkai just stared up at him as she placed her hand against the wall of the Cage, the Energy forming around her hand as black electricity licked at her. I wasn't able to see very well thanks to the dark purple water in the way, but I could feel that she was...getting stronger? Her Spirit Energy was increasing somehow, and my eyes widened at the feel of it, what the hell is happening here?!

“I'll slice you in half, ningen!” Shishi shouted from above.

Shishi was now only mere inches above Genkai's body, his sword flying down from above his head towards her body. But before I could shout out, a bright golden light suddenly shot into the air, making every area besides the one in the ring dark. The sound of crackling could be heard and the blade that was in front of Genkai was glowing with Spirit Energy, her hand blocking the blade as she caught it between her hands. Again, I wasn't able to see, but I could still feel her Spirit Energy growing stronger, and I heard Shishi let out a surprised gasp. Especially when the white-gold colored Energy began to form around the both of them, and I was really wishing that I could see right now! My wanting only growing stronger when I heard another gasp from Shishi again, seeing Genkai's appearance change back to the younger version of herself.

“You're back?!” Shishi shouted, eyes narrowing in confusion and anger.

Genkai's eyes was suddenly shrouded with bright blue Spirit Energy, and she narrowed her eyes. “Spirit Reflection Blast!” She shouted as he pushed Shishi's sword away as a large orb of Spirit Energy formed in her hand.

Seeing Shishi off guard, Genkai redirected the orb and shot it towards the purple haired bastard. The whole arena was coated in a blue light as the orb grew even larger, making the Cage of Hell stretch before it burst like a balloon, the pieces flying away before they reduced to nothing but air. But that wasn't what we were paying attention to, we were paying attention to the loud shout of pain that was emitted from Shishi's lips, and I smirked at that, finally the bastard is hurt! But I had to cover my eyes slightly when the orb burst as well, shooting up into the sky above the ring like a geyser. The boys beside me gasped slightly, while I only stared wide eyed as Shishi's body flew from Genkai as the light faded, flipping over once he hit the ground, landing on his stomach. Everything was silent for a moment before the youkai that were left int the stands began to mumble in confusion on what just happened. I was with them, seriously what the fuck just happened here?!

“H-How...?” Shishi asked slowly, his voice coated in pain as he lifted his head.

Genkai looked down at him. “I can't afford to waste my own Energy so I borrowed some of yours, I hope you can understand, I am a very busy old lady.” She said seriously, and I sweat dropped slightly.

“How could you do such a vindictive thing to ME you second rate thief?! The Energy in that attack was mine and was destined to...to earn my greatness! Don't you...Don't you realize what I'm suppose to become?!” Shishi shouted/asked, only stopping to wince in pain, his eyes glaring dangerously at Genkai.

“Dear god will you shut the fuck up already?!” I shouted annoyed, I really hate this guy, he's so arrogant!

Shishi, however, ignored me completely as he shakily pulled himself up into a standing position. His eyes were shrunk and his horns and fangs were out, he had completely lost it. “It'll take more than parlor tricks to keep a consignment champion like me down!” He held his Banshee Shriek out before him, his hand shaking and his breath deep and quick. “The...Chorus...of...a Thousand Skulls!” He shouted with a crazed look.

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest at the sound of that same fucking attack, if it didn't kill Genkai before how the hell was it suppose to do that now?! But what can I expect from Shishi when he went completely ape shit and decided now was a good time to go insane? Nothing really. So I just watched with Hiei and Kurama as a thousand pale pink, see through skulls shot out from the face on the Banshee Shriek's hilt, the wails growing louder than before. They circled and coiled in the air above the ring before they set their sites on Genkai's form. Watching the skulls go towards her like a bunch of pink streamers, Genkai rose her hands into a sign, an orb of blue light appearing around her. The skulls continued going towards her until they began to disintegrate, being sucked into her, giving her even more Energy.

“No! This can't happen!” Shishi shouted in disbelief, his sword drooping slightly.

Hiei stared with a blank look on his face, his arms crossed. “Apparently Shishi had a lot more Energy than we first gave him credit for.” He stated emotionlessly, but I noticed his eyes narrowing slightly.

“That is right, little good it's doing him now that Genkai's claimed it.” Kurama agreed, and I smirked.

“It's nice to see his Energy being used to hurt him though, him bitching and moaning about fame was getting annoying.” I said, not caring if I was being mean, the guy really needed to get his ego checked -as well as his head-, so none of you defend him or I'll hurt you! I'm serious. ...Sort of.

“Give it back!” I suddenly heard Shishi shouted out angrily.

My eyes, as well as Hiei's and Kurama's, back to the ring to see red youkai Energy forming around the Banshee Shriek's blade. The crazed look intensified on Shishi's face as he ran towards Genkai's orb covered form, his feet slamming against the stone as he drew nearer. A shout of anger was heard spilling from his lips as he rose the Banshee Shriek above his head once again, now in front of Genkai's form. I didn't have anything to be afraid of considering he was just attacking blindly now, and Genkai had enough Spirit Energy to waste his ass, so I just stood there with a bored look on my face.

“Die!” Shishi shouted.

Genkai just stared at him for a second before the orb around her diminished, and she held a smaller orb between her hands. “Spirit Reflection Blast!” She shouted as she thrusted her two hands towards Shishi, a large beam of blue Spirit Energy flying into Shishi's form.

The large blast stretched far, both vertically and horizontally, making me step back slightly just so it didn't hit me at all. The light from the attack was also bright, making me squint my eyes just to get past the pain so I could see. I heard Shishi's shout of pain echo across the stadium, almost louder than the blast was, and my eyes landed on the Banshee Shriek. The freaky ass face on the hilt began to tear slowly before it was disconnected from both ends, some liquid spilling from the tears. I grimaced, but watched when the light dimmed, allowing me to see Shishi fall onto the ground again with loud thud before sliding back a good few feet on his back, legs straight up in the air. The trail of dust that had been made faded away, and Shishi's legs fell to the ground with a crash the Banshee Shriek's blade and disgusting pink organ like things doing the same thing a second later.

“Ch...eating...thie...f.” Shishi chocked out as he shakily lifted his head, glaring at Genkai's young form. “You...really don't fight...for justice.” He said, his voice coated in pain.

Genkai narrowed her eyes down at him. “No, I fight to get what I need for myself and always have. I attack whoever stands in my way, it just so happens that a great deal of those people happened to be youkai.” She said with a frown on her lips, and I sweat dropped as I remembered how true that statement was. Me being one of them. But at least she didn't kill me, or I would be so pissed right now. ...And dead. Very, very dead.

“I think I may have fallen in love.” Shishi smiled slightly, and I groaned. “If things had turned out differently for us, and if you still looked like this all the time, we could have been together...once.” He said softly, before his eyes rolled to the back of his head, his head falling back to the ground.

“How romantic.” I snorted after a second of silence, rolling my eyes.

Genkai's appearance slowly changed back to her original one, her eyes still narrowed down at Shishi. “Aren't I a lucky one.” She said sarcastically as well, and I smirked at her, she's so awesome!

“Woohoo! Way to go! Girl power!” Juri suddenly appeared in the ring, laughing nervously as if we didn't notice that she abandoned us a few minutes before. We watched with annoyed looks as she turned to Genkai, smiling widely with her eyes closed. “What's it like to being a young gal in a mostly male...” She stopped when she noticed Genkai's old appearance, and she blinked. “Oh, never mind...hehehe, good job! The winner of the match is Genkai!” She shouted, getting her barrings back together as she held up Genkai's hand in victory.

The crowd began to shout out protests, standing up from their seats in outrage at the sound of that. I rolled my eyes at them, completely use to that by now. Somehow -to them- we cheated by some completely unknown source, and blah, blah, blah. They can all go jump in a ditch of burning wood and glass for all I care. But despite the annoying shouts from the youkai in the stands, I was happy that we were almost done and considering how well things have been going so far, we were going to win without any casualties! ...Oh god I forgot about Kuwabara! The guy could be dead for all I know! My eyes were wide and I began to feel dread sneak it's way to me, I really hope that Kuwabara didn't die on us! He may be an idiot sometimes, but the guy is just too loveable -in a strange way- not to love and care for! If he's dead, I will castrate Shishi the second he wakes up, the stupid fucking bastard!

“That victory gives Team Urameshi a strong 4-1 lead in the Semi-Final round! One more win and they advance, and there's only one man left standing on Team Uraotogi to stop them!” Juri announced, snapping me out of those violent thoughts, which I think made Hiei flinch. Ha.

“And he's barely standing.” Hiei said sarcastically.

Deciding not to worry so much, cause I had a feeling -or at least I hoped I did- that Kuwabara was going to be all right. I let out a laugh, smirking at Onji as he stood there all by his lonesome. I really didn't like anyone on this team at all, the others at least had Chu, Toya, Jin, Kai, Yen and Ryo on them, but no they just had completely douche bags that deserved to burn in hell.

“That's right.” Onji jumped onto the ring, his face stoic, despite what everyone was saying. Some were making cracks about him being old, mocking him by saying they were worried about him breaking a hip. “That's fine, mock me all you want, you fair-weathered youkai. But I can break both a leg and a hip, just as soon as we can determine to whom they'll belong.” Onji let out a chuckle as he held up one pentagon shaped die. “I see no reason to cast the die from my team, do you? Kinda lacks the suspense. Hehehe. So if you don't mind, I'll give your die a solo role.” He said with another chuckle.

Tossing the orange colored die, we all watched it role for a short second before it landed on one name. Considering we were still on the ground, we couldn’t see who it was. So we waited in suspense to see who was going to be going up against the cocky old bastard that I completely forgot was even here until a few short moments ago. Yes, I'm very bad a remembering things, leave me alone!

“Well what have we here?” I heard Onji mumbled.

Juri looked down at the die before she rose her hand, signaling for everyone's attention. “Team Urameshi's die calls for Kuwabara to step into the ring now, but the poor fellow is stranded in another dimension! Let's role again!” She said as he smiled brightly, gesturing to Onji again.

“Not so fast, referee!”

My eyes widened at the sound of that familiar voice that couldn't belong to anyone other than our favorite red haired ningen. “Kuwabara!” I shouted happily, a bright smile on my lips as I stared at him, seeing him standing near Koto, one leg propped up on her desk.

Juri faltered, putting on a fake smile as she turned to him. “You've come back to us!” She shouted back.

“See I never get lost anywhere for long!” Kuwabara shouted into the microphone that was clutched in his hand, pointing at Juri with a smirk on his lips.

“Oh my!” Koto gasped. “We thought you were dead and gone for sure, I guess the Cape of No Return is a misleading name?” She asked, looking up at the ningen beside her.

Kuwabara looked down at Koto with a huge smile on his lips, chuckling giddily, and I had to suppress a groan, already knowing he was going to do something stupid. “Ladies and gentlemen, and other stuff! Kuwabara returns!” He shouted, striking a pose. Yep, told you.

We were all quiet after that, Hiei and I standing there with blank looks on our faces. Genkai was looking away from him, the annoyance clear in her expression. And Kurama was trying to smile despite of the embarrassment that Kuwabara had just given the team. Everyone else was quiet as well, no one in the stands were making noise at all. Letting out a sigh, I face-palmed myself as I let out a sweat drop, not even back for a few seconds and he had to go and be a baka again. But considering how much I missed him, I was glad despite that and was glad that he was all right. Although from a certain someone, I could tell that he wished that he wasn't here. Aw, best friends for life, I swear xD.

Kuwabara held the smile, but I knew he was slightly embarrassed. “Well this is a tough crowd, I've seen funeral parlors more happenin'!” He shouted again, and I rose an eyebrow at him. 'Happenin''? Really?

I couldn't hold it in any longer. I busted out laughing. “M-My god, he's su-such a-an idiot!” I shouted through my laughter, my arms around my stomach as I leaned forward, ignoring the stares and sweat drops. Especially because there was no other noise but me going on at the moment, but right I didn't care that I was the only one laughing. I was so damn happy that everything seemed great.

“Anyway!” Kuwabara shot me a look as a blush of embarrassment flushed his face, and I stopped, giving him an apologetic wave with a few giggles here and there. “As active captain, it's my job to end this with dignity! So let's get ready to rock and roll! Yeehaw!” He shouted with a bright smile, pointing towards the sky.

Shaking my head, I watched him with a smile. *Idiot. But at least he's safe.* I thought happily.
