~*~*~*Story Start*~*~*~
The two Spirit Energies rose, each flickering with an intent to kill, making me step back slightly at the intensity that was raging from the two opponents. I swallowed thickly, my smirk having dropped when I remembered that Hiei -despite having all his Spirit Energy back- could still be consumed by the Dragon. Not only was I being slightly suffocated by these two high Spirit Energies, but I was now scared for Hiei. Again. I frowned, watching the black and purple flames that coiled around Hiei's form as he smirked darkly at Bui, he better make it out of this all right or I was going to kick his ass. In his physical body or not, I don't really care. The boys beside and behind me were tense as well, Kurama more so considering he knew more about the risks than us, even me and I somewhat knew about the risks before. Keeping the nervous look off my face, I stared at the two before me, waiting anxiously for the fight to begin. Great.
“It's been pulling at the bandages for a long time, I couldn't hold it for long.” Hiei chuckled darkly, the blood lust rising in his eyes once again. “You're the next sacrifice, to the Dragon of the Darkness Flame.” He warned, his Spirit Energy almost skyrocketing once those words left his mouth.
The black flames around Hiei's body began to grow, small streams in the shapes of Dragons appeared from them, flying around the stadium, attaching themselves to whatever they landed on. I was only thankful that they hadn't come near us or I would have either tried to bat them away and if I had touched it I would have been consumed by it, even if this was only a small portion of the Dragon's real power. Scary thoughts, but hey if I never thought of them I would have been dead long ago. So being a natural worrier isn't so bad sometimes, I just better not get gray hairs before I'm '30'. Ha. I'm older than 30 xD. However, I suddenly snapped myself out of my thoughts, remembering that I needed to be serious, Hiei's life could be on the line now. That thought alone silenced all of the silly little voices in my head, and my eyes narrowed, fists clenching at my side slightly. He better be okay...
Koto stared on in amazement. “Wow, fire is leaking from Hiei's arm and excited goosebumps are screaming from mine! The big boy is back!” She announced, holding her arm for added affect.
“It's even more than before, without control he could kill us all.” Kurama informed, eyes narrowed.
“That's cool.” Yusuke mumbled.
I crossed my arms over my chest, trying to keep my expression calm as possible. “It's like a dream come true, I've always wanted to be killed by a flaming dragon.” I said sarcastically with a roll of my eyes, but a part deep inside of me hoped that Hiei would have better control, this Dragon seems stronger than before.
“Please no eat me, please no eat me, no.” Kuwabara chanted lowly, rubbing his hands together in prayer.
Koenma, being the little coward that he is, was shaking at the sight of the Dragon. “Koenma-Tron 5000 Jet Pack, ready for take off.” He said softly as he held a trembling finger over the button of his Jet Pack.
I smirked at the sight of that. “Careful Koenma, you're shaking so much you might accidentally shoot yourself through the roof.” I said teasingly, although I was rather annoyed with the owner of our team. How the hell could he think that he could just jet pack out of here and leave us to die in a stadium that could fall on top of us?!
Koenma quickly dropped the button, looking away. “Don't be silly Kira, I'm not scared at all.” He said/lied.
“So I guess your fingers are shaking out of eagerness?" I asked with a raised eyebrow, seeing that his fingers were still shaking, and quite visibly, too.
Kuwabara blinked. “Why does that sound familiar?” He asked confused.
Yusuke shot Kuwabara a mocking smirk. “Because I said something similar to you, stupid.” He said, while I smirked, clearly remembering that conversation from chapter 4. Oh, that seemed so long ago, doesn't it?
“Hey!” Kuwabara shouted with an irk mark on his temple, while Yusuke only laughed.
*God I love this team.* I thought with a smile.
However, our silly moment was ruined when we heard a mocking chuckle come from Toguro's team. It being Sakyo. “The Dragon of the Darkness Flame. Getting to see that from ring side should be interesting to say the least.” He said, that sadistic smirk playing across his lips as he watched the two before him.
“Yes.” Toguro agreed in a mumble.
Sakyo glanced at the two Toguro brothers. “Now I know I can get fighting moves confused, but didn't we see this before?” He asked turning his attention back to the ring.
“Tournament's first round against Zeru of Team Rokuyukai.” Toguro informed.
“Ah yes, I made quite a bit of money off of that.” Sakyo smirked, remembering that fight.
Toguro let out a dark smirk that made shivers run up my spine, something that did not sit well with me. “This will be the first time he's used it since, I guess he finds this match to be important.” He said, his tone matching the sadistic look that was on his face. Great.
Sakyo's eyes narrowed dangerously. “Good for him, but Zeru was no Bui.” He said, slightly annoyed.
Ignoring Sakyo and the Toguro Brothers, I turned my full attention back onto Hiei. As the flames around him grew stronger, I felt a familiar rumbling as black beams of light came down from the clouded red sky, lightning crackling around them dangerously. Lightning was everywhere, and I could tell that the whole island was shrouded in it as I heard crashes come from outside the stadium. However, I snapped out of my shocked state when I heard the cracking come from the ring, it being almost completely demolished from the attack, as well as the ring walls as they collapsed to the ground shooting out debris and thick, dark gray clouds of dust.
“What an attack! Our state of the art ring is already crumbling under it's power! This can mean surprise injuries galore!” Koto gasped, seeing Juri still in the ring, sitting in the ring absolutely horrified. “Juri! Get back! This isn't a safe place to be right now!” She called to the green haired youkai worriedly.
Juri turned around, tears falling form her eyes. “I can't Koto! I don't want to be a pretty referee girl anymore!” She shouted, sobbing openly and I rolled my eyes at her. Drama queen.
Koto let out a sigh as she got up from her seat, doing absolutely unnecessary rolls and tumbles as she stood on the ring wall, revealing a long red ribbon from who knows where. “OK!” Throwing the ribbon, it spun around, wrapping itself around Juri's tail tightly, and I was actually a bit impressed considering that actually worked. “Let's go!” She shouted, pulling the ribbon back, taking the green haired girl off the ring. However, Juri made it slightly difficult as she grabbed onto the ring, but with one strong tug from Koto she let go, falling flat on her face as she was dragged to the wall. Ha.
Looking away from those two, I looked back at the ring, seeing Hiei's Jagan Eye light up with blue light, making the flames that had been around Hiei spread out in a circular ring, dissipating before it could reach any of us beyond the ring's limits. Lifting his right arm as it swirled with black and blue flames, Hiei stood amidst the crumbling ring as the tiles began to rise from the ground, all the while Bui was staring at the display with an uninterested look on his face. If I wasn't in awe I would have been annoyed at that, but watching as everything was shrouded in a blood red light, I was kind of preoccupied to say the least. My skin tingled at the sensation of such power, my eyes taking in the sights of the tiles exploding in bright lights at the intensity of the attack, and I swallowed thickly. Hiei better not be swallowed by this attack, we're so close to going home. He has to make it out of this...
“Shouldn't we hide under something?” Kuwabara asked nervously, sweat trickling down his temple.
I stared at Kuwabara like he was an idiot for even suggesting that. “And get crushed even more by falling debris? No thank you, Kuwabara, I'd like to live.” I said blankly, while Kuwabara blanched.
Kuwabara stepped back. “But couldn't that dragon kill us anyway?” He asked again.
Kurama narrowed his eyes at the question, and I knew why, I was thinking the same thing. “Wait, give him his due time, it could advantageous after all.” He said seriously, his eyes locked on Hiei's form as he stood in the middle of the ring.
“Hold on.” Koenma said, looking at Kurama. “You said it'd kill all of us if he lost control like last time.”
Kurama nodded shortly, ignoring Koenma's narrowed stare. “Yes, but it appears in his short training since then, he's learned how to master it better.” He informed calmly, and I let out a sigh of relief when I heard that. If Hiei could control it better, than there's less of a chance that the Dragon could back fire and try to consume him. That's good.
“Oh, better? That's reassuring, yeah.” Yusuke said sarcastically, a frown on his lips.
“Yusuke, shut up.” Koenma ordered, annoyed.
Koto was back in her seat, the microphone to her lips considering Juri was too scared to announce anymore. “Take it from someone who was in the ring the first time! This attack is not the same, it's like a super, hyper, mega Dragon!” She shouted, and I wasn't sure if she was happy or not. Surprisingly.
Lightning cracked and thunder boomed loudly both inside and outside of the stadium, the lightning crackling around Hiei's arm as the Dragon's power grew fiercer than before. The area began to shake and the rocks in the ring rose up from the intensity, and if you thought it couldn't get anymore crazier, well than you're wrong. The black flames that had consumed Hiei's fist shot upwards towards the sky as a lightning bolt shot through the stadium's ceiling, emitting a large green light that shrouded the whole stadium. Red flames shot upwards towards the ceiling as Hiei stood in the middle of the chaos, not seeming to be affected at all by it. White flames coiling and licked dangerously at the air as it took the places of the black flames around Hiei's arm. I stared at him with wide eyes, if Bui managed to survive this match, I will be VERY surprised.
“You ready?” Hiei asked, his eyes narrowing seriously.
Bui didn't answer, his eyes narrowed on Hiei's form as he kicked off into a run. I narrowed my eyes as I stared at Bui, wondering why he was just standing there. The guy couldn't be that stupid to think that he could survive a point blank hit with THAT attack, could he? But suspicion soon took the place of my confusion, watching as Bui narrowed his eyes determinedly, his fist clenching at his side as he watched Hiei balled his right hand into a fist, pulling it back. Something wasn't right, and I really wish that I had a Jagan just so I could read this bastard's mind, he had a plan and I wanted to know if he could execute it. However, all I could do was watch and see how things played out, and you can pretty much guess that I didn't like that. There's been what, 38 chapters of this story right? Then you should probably already know how I feel.
Hiei's fist was consumed in black and red flames as he pulled it back. “Dragon of the Darkness Flame!” He shouted, throwing his fist forward, his narrowed eyes locked on Bui's form like it had been this entire match.
A large stream of black and red flames spiraled out of Hiei's fist, it slicing through the ring, the tiles chipping and splintering as they shot into the air. Debris and dust flew around the air, and I had to block my face from any oncoming pieces of pebbles that surprisingly hurt, especially when it was coming from a Dragon that was going pretty fucking fast. I watched as the Dragon gave a roar, it's sights instantly falling on Bui, and it raced towards him. Bui let out a shout as he held his hands out in front of him, as if he was preparing to catch it with his bare hands. I let a smirk fall on my lips when I saw that, and I crossed my arms over my chest, if Bui wasn't going to move then this match was going to be over in a few seconds. Well thank fucking god for that!
...Or so I thought.
What happened next really surprised the hell out of me and made my cocky smirk fall into a shocked 'o' shape. Bui stood his 'ground' as the Dragon slammed into him, flying around the stadium with Bui practically keeping it at bay by holding hit's 'mouth'. Bui kept shouting as he kept his hands firmly planted in front of him, not seeming to care as they whipped around the room at speeds that could easily kill someone. I couldn't believe that he was actually going to survive that attack! How the hell was that even possible?! These fucking flames CONSUMED everyone in it's path, no one should be able to block it with his fucking hands! I was just dumbfounded, my eyes wide and my mouth open in shock, just how the fuck is this possible? I bit my lip, not liking the feeling that was welling up in my chest as I turned my gaze towards Hiei's form. But I felt a little bit better when I saw that he didn't seem surprised. That's good...
“Damn! Who is this Bui bastard?” Yusuke asked, his eyes wide.
Kurama had almost the same expression, but his eyes were narrowed. “He's actually stopped it! I didn't think it was possible!” He said in shock, and I couldn't help but agree with him there. Holy shit...
Kuwabara was now scared. “I'm not scared, but we should at least find a rock to get under!” He shouted.
“Kuwabara," I glared as an irk mark pulsed on my temple, "the Dragon could easily smash through a rock, how the hell could you even think something like that could protect us?!” I shouted, my right eye twitching, sometimes I wonder if he thinks at all! And I'm suppose to be the one that DEFENDS him!
“I don't know! I just don't want to die!” Kuwabara shouted with a whimper.
OK, now I was getting REALLY annoyed. “Hiei won't kill us, so shut up!” I said right back with an anime mad face. Geez!
Koenma once again had his finger to his jet pack button, it shaking even more than it had been before. “Any time now, any time...” He mumbled to himself, his eyes fixated on the Dragon that was still circling the area at an impressive speed if I do say so myself. Which I do.
“I hope you don't think that Dragon is completed!” Hiei suddenly shouted, his eyes narrowed.
All eyes fell on Hiei's form as he pulled back his fist once again, and a flash of light blue appeared around him. Flames crackled and coiled around his form as his right arm was practically consumed by the blinding colored flames. Pulling back his fist, he let out a shout as threw it forward, a stream of bright light blue fire shot towards the Dragon and Bui, it's sinking into the Dragon and changing the red flames to blue. The Dragon picked up speed, it's strength practically doubling thanks to the power boost that Hiei had given it. Bui let out a groan like shout, but still kept in place at the Dragon's mouth, keeping his hands against the black and blue flames. Bui was putting so much strain on himself that the scar on his head began to spurt out blood but he didn't seem to mind at all, and I had to hide a grimace from appearing on my lips. Ew...
Koto watched in awe. “Amazingly Bui's avoided instant vaporization! But the Dragon's strength is immense and it's bulldozing him around the stadium! Something has to give!” She shouted with a look of happiness on her face, and I rolled my eyes.
It was as if the Dragon was reading Koto's mind, it picking up even more speed as it continued to whip Bui around the area. It flew up to the ceiling, not even flinching when it slammed against the wall, making the whole stadium tremble at it's strength, debris falling down towards the ground. Trying to keep myself firmly planted on the ground, I watched as the Dragon passed that some of the flames that made up his body began to disintegrate every weak youkai that came in it's path. I was so glad that I had come far from being a lower class youkai to a pretty strong one, or at least I hope that I am because I really don't want to die right now. ...Although considering how I'm pretty light headed right now, that can't be a good sign. But I'm not going to miss Hiei's match, so I'm going to have to avoid dieing right now :D.
“Well I guess the stadium gave-aah!” Koto let out a shriek as one of the youkai next to her was killed by the flames, but she rebounded quickly. “All right people, this is the mayhem you can only expect from the Final! The weaker ones in the crowd are being instantly incinerated! It's Hell in a basket and I love it all!” She shouted with a bright smile.
Our eyes watched the black and bright blue Dragon and Bui fly towards the ceiling, and I silently hoped that the Dragon wouldn't turn away so Bui could smash through the fucking ceiling. And as if the Dragon was reading my mind -which I feel kind of sorry for it, my mind is a bit crazy as you already know from being me and from hearing from Hiei-, it breaking through the dome like top of the stadium. The Dragon coiled in the air, it obviously becoming frustrated with the lack of death, and it slammed Bui against the second tallest curved mountain on Hanging Neck Island, the mountain somehow managing to stay intact despite the strength of the Dragon. My eyes saw flickering come from the ring, and before I had a chance to look I saw Hiei jump towards a broken part at the top of the broken stadium ceiling, watching the Dragon as it tried to crush Bui to death against the mountain. I could easily picture the smirk that was on his lips, and I couldn't help but let one fall on mine. Aw, we're evil =].
Bui gritted his teeth as he tried to keep the Dragon at bay, the scar on his forehead bleeding profusely from the strain as he narrowed his eyes. A groan like shout appeared out of his lips again as he clutched the Dragon with his hands, and before I could wonder what the hell was going on, I saw the Dragon turning. My eyes widened in shock as the Dragon was redirected away from the now collapsing mountain, heading towards Hiei's form that continued to stand on the broken piece of debris. A dark smirk appeared on Bui's lips as he watched the Dragon race towards his master, it's blue eyes bright with blood lust that reminded me so much of Hiei that it was almost scary. No. It was scary.
“Success!” Bui hissed sadistically.
My heart literally stopped. “Hiei!” I shouted, my eyes widening with horror.
Hiei let out a small shout of surprise, his eyes widening as the Dragon's eyes locked on his form. The next thing the boys and I knew, we were watching the Dragon slam into Hiei, Hiei's body disappearing beneath the black flames. I narrowed my eyes slightly, waiting for Hiei to jump back into the ring like he dodged it at the last second. But... Our mouths fell open when we saw the Dragon coil in the air, Hiei not anywhere to be found, not on his previous spot, not in the ring, not on the ground, not anywhere. The boys let out surprised gasps, their eyes widening in shock as they watched the Dragon begin to dissipate into nothing. I, however, wasn't gasping, I was waiting. Hiei would be coming soon. I knew he was. He...had to.
“A victory.” Bui smirked as he jumped away from the collapsed mountain, landing back into the ring. “Hiei first, Toguro soon after.” He said, throwing his head back as he laughed loudly.
Koto's eyes were glued on Bui's laughing form, her eyes wide with awe. “What a maneuver! Bui managed to force the Dragon of Darkness Flame away from himself and directly toward Hiei causing the three eyed warrior to be swallowed by his own beast of destruction!” She said with a smile on her lips, but I just ignored her.
I couldn't sense him. His Energy was gone. Oh god... My eyes darted around desperately, flicking from one end of the stadium to another, trying to find him behind a rock or standing atop of the broken stadium ceiling with a smirk on his face. But I couldn't. I still couldn't sense him anywhere in the area, or anywhere in Makai. My body began to shake with panic, he had to be here! Hiei wouldn't just die like that! My breathing began to pick up as I tried to find the fire youkai, not caring for the looks that were falling on my form. I didn't care if I was looking like a crazed lunatic, Hiei had to be somewhere! ...Hiei had to be here. He wouldn't let something like that kind of attack beat him, he wouldn't let HIS own attack beat him. I bit my lip, almost re-breaking the skin that was starting to re-form on it, and I could practically taste the blood on my tongue. But as the minutes passed, my breathing began to slow as the reality of it all began to sink into me. My fists were trembling, and my heart began to hurt so much that I couldn't breathe.
“Please...” I whispered, tears blurring my vision.
My whisper, however, was drowned out by the cheers of the youkai in the stands. The youkai were shouting for Toguro's victory, but I just ignored them, trying desperately to keep the tears from falling. I wasn't going to cry until I knew for sure, I wouldn't lose faith in Hiei now, he's strong. I know he is. The boys next to me where staring at the sky, trying to find the fire youkai as well, but all they could see was the clear blue sky that was visible through the large hole in the ceiling. Yusuke and Kuwabara had their mouths open in shock, while Kurama had his eyes narrowed, his mouth formed into a thin line. Koenma sucked on his pacifier nervously, sweat trickling down his temple as he narrowed his eyes on Toguro's team. Turning my blurred gaze towards them, I saw Toguro, Elder Toguro and Sakyo smirking at us cruelly, and it took everything I had to keep myself from attacking them with everything I had. I didn't care if I didn't have much Spirit Energy left, I would force my fucking Life Energy if I had to.
“It's all clear now Juri, time for you to make the official call!” Koto heard no reply and looked down, seeing Jury laying before the wall she was sitting behind, sleeping as if nothing was wrong. “Jury?” She asked, now slightly confused and not to mention a little bit surprised. Jury just continued to sleep, stirring only slightly at her name.
“Tell work I'm sick today, Mom.” Jury mumbled, biting the tip of her tail lightly.
“Jury we can't have this gore fest without you!” Jury just continued to sleep, and Koto frowned slightly until she got a sly smirk on her lips. “Jury, all the rich and cutey boys will be watching you!” She said, her voice echoing around the area.
At the sound of boys, Jury almost immediately woke up. “Where?” She asked, looking up at Koto.
Koto stared down at the girl with a slightly annoyed look on her face now. “Well, we see where your motivation lies, don't we?”
“Right I'm coming, um...” Jury stood up, stumbling out towards the destroyed ring, her eyes locking on the small patch of flames that were left by the Dragon as it disappeared into thin air. Sniffing the tears that were in her eyes away, Jury looked towards Bui's form in the ring. “Uh Hiei can't compete without a body, so the official winner can only be-.”
Jury, however, was cut off when she -and everyone else- saw black and red flames suddenly appear behind Bui's now shocked and horrified form. My heart began to beat loudly in my ears, my eyes widening as I saw the flames flickering before they exploded into a bright light that made me shield my face with my arms until it dimmed. I heard Jury's scream, probably being thrown back by the force of the explosion, and I looked up. In the ring before Bui's form was a mass of black and light blue flames that was twitching, as if something was trying to break free from it. I held my breath, not daring to breathe at all as I kept my hopeful gaze on the flames before me. Please... I saw the flames lift up into the air as the fire grew wider, and a white form suddenly appeared in the middle, and I was relieved to see that resembled a fire youkai that I was so going to kill when this match was over. However, I watched as the flames suddenly plummeted back down towards the ring, the flames billowing out in random directions before they suddenly fell towards a crouched figure, as if they were being...consumed. My eyes landed on Hiei's form as the flames stopped being absorbed into his body, leaving him to turn his attention back to Bui, a dark smirk on his lips.
“This brings up my next attack, this ones a little different.” Hiei warned, his eyes shadowed over, and I swore I saw transparent light blue Spirit Energy coating Hiei's form. He felt like he had become so much...stronger since a few minutes ago. Did he...?
“Now that's cool.” Yusuke said with a smirk.
“Hiei!” I shouted happily, accidentally letting tears fall down my cheeks, but not caring to wipe them away.
A smirk appeared on Hiei's lips as he lifted his head, letting a dark chuckle be heard. Bui, however, wasn't so happy to see Hiei as much as Yusuke and I were, his eyes wide with horror that he tried to pass off as anger. “Explain this!” He demanded as he threw his arm to the side, sweat trickling down his temple as he took in Hiei's completely unscathed form.
Koto's eyes were narrowed. “I can't really articulate what's happened here people! It looked like the Dragon had eaten Hiei, but now the youkai is back and appears to be unharmed!” She said with surprise.
“Go get him Hiei!”A familiar ogre's voice shouted, making Koto blink and look at George. “Nice to meet you.” He said sheepishly.
My right eye twitched at that, ignoring as more tears fell thanks to that. Damn it me, control yourself! “Hey! That's my line, George! Get your own!” I shouted at the blue skinned ogre with an irk mark on my temple, ignoring the sweat drops and smirks. Uh oh...
However, I 'ignored' them as I wiped away the tears hastily, I don't need them making fun of me for something that was easily a situation that deserved to be cried at. Turning my attention back to Hiei, I let a warm smile appear on my lips as I watched him take an intimidating step towards Bui, who took a step back in fear. I let out a sigh of relief, I don't think I would have forgiven Hiei if he died. Sure I knew that he doesn't have much of a choice like the rest of us, but without him I...don't really know what I would do as cliché as that sounds. And I HATE to be cliché because it makes me want to puke, but that's how I feel and if you guys want to criticize me than you're just a bunch of jerks. So take that >:P.
“A new attack?” I looked at Yusuke, seeing his eyes widen slightly. “Wait, did he just do what I think he did?” He asked.
Kurama narrowed his eyes. “It's true, Hiei has consumed the Darkness Technique.”
Kuwabara and I both got matching shocked looks on our faces, is he serious?! “What?! You mean he ATE the Dragon?!” Kuwabara shouted in shock.
“What do you mean?” I asked, more controlled than Kuwabara.
“Apparently he's learned what no one before him has.” Kurama started, and I could feel the atmosphere change into that real dramatic one when people explain things. Yeah, you know the one. “The only way to gain real control of the Darkness Flame is to trap it within. Now the Dragon is inside him, and at his full disposal. Even Bui must except what that means.” He finished, his eyes narrowed on Bui's form.
“Countless centuries. Countless masters trying to harness the power of the Darkness Flame.” Hiei's Jagan eye glowed blue as his Spirit Energy pretty much skyrocketed in a haze of light blue and blue, a black Dragon appearing around him, making Bui step back once again out of fear. “Only I have had the courage, the strength and the abandon to realize it's glorious potential. I have the power of the Black Dragon because now I AM the Dragon!” He said, his eyes now black as white and gray flames flickered in them, and I once again stopped myself from wolf-whistling. ...Dear god I have AMAZING self-control, don't I?
Bui glared down at Hiei's form, the fear in his eyes was easy to see and the smirk that was on my lips widened at the sight of it. Good the fucking bastard deserves to be scared shitless, but he always deserves to be dead and die a painful death as well, so I hope that Hiei gives that to him for almost killing him and making me become an emotional wreck. However, before I could think of anymore means things about Bui, the man himself let out another shout as he jumped into the air, the Battle Aura forming around him once again. But it disappeared as he fell towards Hiei, throwing a punch at the motionless fire youkai, who merely closed his eyes at the punch as his head turned. There, however, was no cut, bruise or mark on his cheek at all. My eyes widened in amazement when Hiei opened his blood red orbs, a bored look on his face. Holy. Shit. He is so fucking awesome xD!
“Nice.” Hiei said, not at all affected.
I almost laughed out at that, but opted just to smirk. *Ha, Hiei's a bad ass.*I thought, my smirk widening.
Bui stepped back out of shock, but his eyes narrowed angrily as he sent more punches at Hiei's face, the fire youkai doing nothing to stop him and showing no pain from the blows that echoed around the stadium. I looked at the boys, who looked back at me with an equally surprised look on their face before we turned back, watching with wide eyes. Well damn. We watched as Bui tried to get more creative, sending spiral kicks, kicking Hiei upside the head, in the leg, in the side, punch him in the chest, neck, anything he could think of he did and Hiei didn't eve move an INCH from his spot through out the whole thing. However, before Bui could land the last punch he had aimed for Hiei's head, he suddenly stopped short, his eyes wide. And I understood what made him do that. I looked at Hiei, seeing the Jagan pretty much work as a television screen, it showing Bui standing before Hiei with the Dragon coiling around him, it staring down at Bui with a deadly blood lust-like look in it's blue eyes. Huh...I wonder if he has the movie channel... Sorry stupid joke x3.
Getting out of my stupid thoughts, I heard Koto suddenly front flip onto her desk out of excitement, startling George. “And Bui unloads like an angry toddler in a therapy session! But Hiei is absolutely unaffected!” She shouted with excitement in her voice.
Ignoring her for the time being, I watched as Bui suddenly front flipped over dramatically towards Hiei, while I had to face-palm myself at the display. I mean why the fuck did he have to front flip, back flip, hand stand, and do all that other shit?! Did someone go on acid when they did this fucking episode?! ...Whatever. Watching with a sweat drop, I saw Bui front flip over Hiei's form, grabbing Hiei by the head before he swung him around until he threw him into the air. Hiei flew towards the ceiling like a rag doll, and I had to hide a laugh considering it was completely funny and because this was just ridiculous. Suppressing laughter I watched Bui go into a dramatic pose before he jumped into the air, kneed Hiei in the back, swung him around a bit and slammed him into the ceiling so hard there was now a Hiei stamp up there. Why am I enjoying this so much XD?!
But I stopped my laughter filled thoughts when Bui somehow managed to stand upside down on the ceiling and grabbed Hiei's black undershirt, tugging him back into the air before kicking Hiei into the back, sending him flying into the ring's tiles. Dust flew into the air as Hiei brought up some rocks with the force of the impact, but he stood up nonetheless without any problems. He wasn't covered in scratches, no blood, no bruises, even his clothes were ruined which is surprising considering pretty much everyone's clothes get destroyed in these matches, but I shrugged it off. Hiei was standing there, smirking at Bui as if nothing had happened at all. Watching as Bui stared at Hiei in horror before he engulfed himself in Battle Aura again, running towards Hiei as he let out a shout of desperation. Pulling back his fist Bui began to throw it, only to have Hiei catch it with ease, making Bui fall to his knees, the Battle Aura dissipating. Bui put his hands on the ground, his eyes wide, and I stared confused.
“Will someone please explain to me just what the fuck happened?!” I shouted, throwing my hands up despite the pain in my side, I mean come on did Hiei break his hand or did he just catch it and Bui's being a little bitch about it?! I believe it's the second.
Yusuke looked at me with a sweat drop. “Kira, we hardly know whats going on either.” He said rather bluntly.
I stuck my tongue out at him. “Shut up.”
“Insane!” Yusuke and I stopped our glare off when we heard Koto's amazed shout. “Hiei has actually sucked away Bui's Battle Aura! The secret of all his power!” She shouted with wide eyes, and that made Yusuke and I blink at the sudden information, ignoring the stares that we were getting from the others.
“Oh, so that's what happened!” Yusuke and I said together, but our expressions didn't match our words.
Cue sweat drops.
“Come now, can't you even test me?” Hiei asked Bui mockingly, ignoring Yusuke and I which I believe was rather hard considering we are very loud when we're together, but that's just my thinking.
Bui stepped away slightly as Hiei smirked at him darkly, the fear in his eyes showing even clearer than they had before, and that's really saying something. However, his eyes 'narrowed into a glare' as he ran towards Hiei once again, believing that these attacks will actually get him somewhere, while I think he's just a dumb ass who needs to get knocked on his ass. Watching the fight with a bored look, I turned to Hiei when I saw black and blue lights flash. In the palm of his right hand there was a sphere beginning to form as black and light blue steams of light circled around it. Pulling it back, Hiei let it slam into Bui's chest as said man stopped in his tracks when he saw the attack charging, and with a shout Bui was knocked into the air. And hopefully on his ass.
Smirking at that thought, I followed Hiei's form as he jumped after Bui, and the Dragon appearing behind him as he stopped in midair above Bui's body. Clenching his fist, light blue flames crackled around his fist and he sent it painfully into Bui's jaw, sending Bui spiraling towards the crowd at such a surprising speed I only saw him one second before he slammed into the stands. A large cloud of smoke erupted from the spot he landed in, and I couldn't help but wince at how that must have felt, but smirked anyway. He deserved it. The bastard. Hiei quickly followed Bui, landing before the man as he laid in a crater, some youkai sprawled out dead from the impact. Hiei only stared at Bui's form with deadly eyes, not even widening when Bui's eyes opened a fraction, still conscious and alive. Damn it! Well, at least he was knocked on his ass like I wanted...
“Both are outside the ring, I'll start the count-!” Jury shouted, only to fall forward as the ring gave out underneath her. Ha.
“Finish...” My ears picked up Bui's quiet word, and I saw Hiei lean forward to listen. “The first time Toguro beat me he told me I had the potential to get stronger. He was right. It took someone like him to show me how weak I was. He kept me at his side while I trained hard to kill him, and I knew I reached my max. But every time I would get stronger, so would he. I'm sure it was just bait to keep me improving.” He said with a frown in his voice, and I rolled my eyes. Oh poor baby. Pff.
“4!” Juri counted.
Bui ignored her, his eyes focusing on the sky above him before he turned to Hiei once again. “Now you've beaten me, whats the point? Come on, hurry up and kill me.” He said almost desperately, and something told me that Hiei wouldn't do it. I think I'm starting to get to understand Hiei a bit more, or I'm just a lucky guesser.
“No.” Hiei narrowed his eyes. “If you wanna die, kill yourself.” He said as he turned around, jumping back into the ring. It was luck.
“8! 9!” Juri continued to count.
Hiei crossed his arms over his chest, smirking. “I don't take orders, especially from those I beat.” He said insultingly. We all seemed to know that Bui was listening, and that made that mocking comments so much better. Oh I love him xD.
“And 10! The third fight is over! Hiei takes the point!” Juri shouted as she gestured to Hiei, and the crowd booed. Of course.
Watching as Hiei walked towards us, Yusuke put on a cocky smirk as he rose a fist, looking over at Toguro's side. “Did you hear that Toguro!? We're in the lead now!” He said, his smirk growing despite the lack of reaction. But he didn't pay them anymore mind as he looked over at Hiei as he dropped down back onto the ground, walking towards us.
Kuwabara recoiled back, seeing him a few feet away. “Wait! This is a no Dragon Man area, okay?!” He shouted, his eyes wide.
“Kuwabara, shut up.” I rolled my eyes at him before I turned my attention back to Hiei, ignoring the 'glare' I got from the red haired ningen. “You just love to make your fights look so easy, don't you?” I asked, crossing my arms in 'annoyance'.
“I don't make them, they are, Baka Onna.” Hiei retorted easily with a smirk.
My right eye twitched in real annoyance at that. “And I was even worried about you, you dick.” I said with an irk mark on my temple.
“Yeah, she even started crying.” Kuwabara said with a smirk, it obviously being pay back. Bastard!
I froze as a blush appeared on my cheeks as Hiei rose an eyebrow in amusement at me while I glared at Kuwabara. “Excuse me?! Hiei's stupid attack made dust fly in my eyes, it hurt! And at least I wasn't pissing my pants because you thought Hiei was going to kill us!” I shouted back, hoping that would distract everyone from my embarrassing moment and torture Kuwabara. ...Yes, I’m mean.
Kuwabara blushed heavily. “I did not pee my pants!” He defended, making the other smirk at him. Ha. Successful :D!
“One more second and you would have~!” I shouted in sing-song.
“All right, Kira, calm down or you're gonna kill yourself.” Yusuke chuckled, especially when he saw Kuwabara pale slightly at the silent threats that were hidden in my 'innocent' gaze “Anyway, that was really awesome Hiei.” He said sincerely, giving Hiei a smirk.
“Yeah, awesome, why don't you go about twenty yards that way and fight the rest of them?” Kuwabara said nervously, remembering Hiei's amazing new friend that was now living inside him. ...Huh that sounded slightly awkward...
Before I could roll my eyes at Kuwabara again, I noticed that Hiei was...shaking? Looking at him in concern, I relaxed when I only saw that he was exhausted. Aw... “That's against the rules now you cretin. Besides my attack expired.” He said, the exhaustion evident as he talked, his eyes barely staying open as he tried to stay up a little longer. I resisted the urge to coo at him for being tired, but decided not to make him angry at me. I'll wait until he wakes up =3.
“Expired?” Kuwabara and Yusuke asked, blinking in confusion.
“I don't know if your brains can imagine it, but this attack drained a good deal of my Energy.” Hiei yawned, his eyes beginning to close despite his wishes. “I'll require some hibernation to get it back. Do you think you can manage finding a safe place for my body where it won't get stepped on?” He asked, but I wasn't sure who he was addressing considering he wasn't really looking specifically at anyone
“Did you say hibernate?” Yusuke asked slightly surprised, apparently thinking that Hiei never slept like I thought.
Kuwabara looked annoyed. “Fancy word for being lazy.” He mumbled.
Hiei ignored that, pointing at Yusuke and Kuwabara with a 'glare' in his eyes. “Listen to me as closely as you can you two, I'm trusting you against my better instincts only because I have no other choice. Take care of the Toguro Brothers. If I wake up and we've lost...I swear I'll...kill you...all.” He said as began to fall back, losing consciousness all together.
But before Hiei could hit the ground, I quickly got behind him, catching him only to squeak out of surprise when he was a lot heavier than I had originally thought. Keeping myself from making us both fall, I slowly sank to my knees and Hiei rested against me, his head on my lap. Resisting the urge to blush deeply at the close contact considering I've NEVER had him have his head on my lap before. And just so you know I didn't make him, it just happened okay?! -///-. Ignoring the smirks that were being directed at me, I sent them all a glare in hopes that they would get the correct thoughts out of their heads. I don't need to have EVERYONE -besides Hiei- to know that I love him because then I'll be very irritated by their smirks. Like right now for example. If it wasn't for Hiei most of them would be holding their balls as they withered in pain. Kurama is excluded of course. :D
“I hope you don't think I wanted this to happen, the bastards fucking heavy.” I said with an irk mark on my temple, but the blush that I was trying to get rid of was being a persistent bastard. Thankfully they stopped and their attention was now back on Hiei.
Yusuke ignored me, squatting down in front of us. “That's Hiei for ya, he faints but he still has time for threats!” He said laughing.
Kuwabara leaned forward to stare at Hiei's sleepy face. “Hold on, so nothing we do will wake him up?”
No one answered him, and considering no one was talking Koenma decided to take the spotlight. “Not long ago he was on a streak of terror, if he had this power then it would have been disastrous. Now it's our asset.” He said dramatically, his eyes narrowed seriously, and as I looked at how peaceful Hiei looked when he was asleep it kind of made it hard for me to picture him being a blood thirsty murderer. ...Kind of.
“Can I give him a mustache?” Kuwabara asked, pulling out a black marker from who-knows-where.
I rose an eyebrow at him, wondering if he was being completely serious. “Do you want him to kill you in your sleep?” I asked, hoping that he would at least have some ounce of brains to pick the right answer. I may still be sore about earlier, but he is my friend.
“No...” Kuwabara mumbled, blanching slightly at the thought.
“Then I suggest you put the marker away, Kuwabara.” I looked at him seriously, I may be stupid, but I was never stupid enough to think about doing something like THAT to HIEI. Seeing Kuwabara quickly throw the marker behind him, I hid my laughter before I glanced down at the sleeping fire youkai in my lap, a small warm smile appearing on my lips. *Thank god you're okay.* I thought softly, remembering how scared I had been when I thought we lost him. When I thought I lost him.
I really do love him, don't I?
Ending it here! I really hope you guys liked this chapter! I kind of like the ending with the whole Hiei resting on Kira's lap, it looks so fucking adorable in my mind. I'm smiling like an idiot right now haha xD. Anyway, I hope you guys liked it and I hope you'll like the next ones to come! Bye!

Bye!
