I had awoken way before Kurama or Youko did. I stood by the window, shirtless, watching the rain fall as I smoked a cigarette. I had a pair of sweats on and I was standing beside the window looking out. I narrowed my eyes slightly. It was now three in the morning and the rain didn't stop. Instead, it worsened. It hasn't rained this hard in years. I put out the cigarette on the astray on the window sill as I remembered back to the day it rained this hard.

I was sitting on my bed looking out at the rain. My step-father had walked out with some of his friends. I was glad, I had sometime to myself. I got off of my bed and opened my window. Takimori had looked my door from the outside, but not my window. As I got out, I slipped and tumbled off the roof. I hit the pavement hard, after my vision cleared I got up for the wet floor and just ran. I headed to the park to see if any of the other kids where there.

When I got there, I realized something. What kind of parent would allow their kid to play in the pouring rain? I sneezed as I sadly headed to the swings. The park was vacant and empty. I felt disappointed. My father kept me away from all contact in order to keep the dirty secret a secret. I swung myself a bit and thought about runaway to America again. The land of Freedom, or so I read. I wanted that freedom.

I heard footsteps all around me and looked up hoping to see some kids. My eyes met my step-father's. I gasped. The swing was jerked to a stop sending me to the ground. I looked around as I sat up to see Takimori's friends. They grinned at me.

"He looks nice Takimori..." One said with a slurred voice. There was four friends plus Takimori, which made five.

"I've got him so he can give you a job too." Takimori said. My eyes widened. No...I heard zippers being pulled down.

"Let's head into the woods for some coverage." Another said. I smelt the alcohol, they were all drunk! I turned to Takimori. He grinned and reached out to grab me. I quickly stood and ran off toward the woods. They all followed me.

"NO! GO AWAY!" I shouted. Soon I tripped over a slippery banch and fell on my face. I felt someone pounce me from behind and start to rip off all my clothes. "NO!" Tears streamed down my face. "DON'T MAKE ME DO IT AGAIN!" I yelled to the rain, to the grey sky, the forest that wouldn't answer back.

I clenched my fists and glared out the window. I was raped by the five of them that night. I can still remember the smell of vodka they each had on them. I was as weak back then as I am now. I couldn't keep myself from being hurt, now I can't even stop these murders from happening. I raised my fist and punched the window. It shattered as my fist went right through it. Blood fell with the rain as I brought my hand back in. I was mildly surprised that there was no shards in the cuts. Flexing my hand, I clenched it again and prepared to strike another window pane. I let my fist fly toward it, but was stopped just before I hit it.

I jumped slightly as two slender hands grabbed me. One wrapped around my arm, the other around my chest. I blinked as a clawed hand trailed down my arm and pulled my fingers open. They intertwined with my fingers. The clawed hand brought my hand back enough so the person could kiss the back of my hand. I stared before turning toward the window. In the reflection I saw Youko gazing back at me as he licked my hand. My black demon markings were all over my arms, chest, and face.

"As much as I love the taste of your blood, I would like to know what brought on this bout of anger." He asked as he looked at me through the reflection. "I would also like to know why you are up at this hour Yus-chan." I frowned and tried to get my hand out of his grasps. Youko frowned and switched his hold to my wrist. His arm around my chest tightened as did his grip on my wrist. I froze. It was just like the night at the park. The men...how they held me when...

I started to struggle and franticly try to tug my hand away from him. Youko frowned more and tried to hold me still. My eyes widened in fear as I started to jerk my arm about. "No..." I murmured. Youko's claws dug into my skin as I tried to few myself. "Please...." Suddenly I was on the bed being held down by vines. Soon, I stopped struggling against them and just stared at the ceiling. Kurama, not Youko, my emerald eyed savior came into my sight. He pet my hair and kissed my cheeks.

"Yusuke, Yusuke...it's me. It's Kurama." He murmured. "Come back to me." I stared at him.

"Just like tonight..." I whispered. "Five of them...making me..." I closed my eyes. "Takimori said he had trained me for that kind over thing. So the five of them, Takimori and four friends. It was after he locked me in my room...I snuck out, went to the park...and..." The vines loosened and disappeared over the edge of the bed. I blinked in confusion.

"I'm sorry Yusuke..." Kurama whispered. He lowered himself to my neck and nuzzled into me. "I'll never understand how you keep a tough facade on the outside with a broken one inside." He murmured into my neck. "To be treated so cruelly, to one who claimed to be your guardian. I can never be able to save you from that kind of pyschological trauma." I found myself pulling Kurama away and licking his cheeks, closing my eyes.

"Sorry," I murmured. "But, could you get up I seriously need to get to the precinct." Kurama grinned and hugged me tighter and kissed my neck.

"Aren't you suppose to be on vacation?" He asked.

"Hm..." I agreed and closed my eyes. "But I really need to file a report on the murders." Kurama didn't seem to want to get up. "Kurama..." I whined. I gasped as I felt his hand lightly run down my chest and my stomach. This fox was hungry. His hand went lower and lower until it reached the waistband of my pants. I moaned and opened my eyes.

"I see someone wants something for breakfast..." He murmured as he kissed the underside of my chin. I grabbed his hand and moved it away from my pants. I brought it to my lips and kissed his palm. He pouted. "Yusuke..."

"I have some information coming in from the States about similiar murders. I need to get to the precinct to get it." I said as I pushed myself up. Kurama sat up also and smiled at me.

"You should take a shower then." He stood and pulled me up with him. "And I will join you!" I blinked as he pulled me out of my and across the hallway into the bathroom.

Damn fox! I glared at my cell phone as I looked at time. I was twenty minutes late for work. Him and his libido...I grinned as I walked into the precinct with my helmet under my arm. I had manage to escape from him, but at a price. He picked out what I was going to wear for the day, but I gave him limits. Sue me, he was going to make me wear the leather pants Lin got me for my birthday last year. Instead Kurama picked out a pair of tight fitting, comfortable black jeans, a green short sleeve button up shirt, and my leather jacket. I had my black nikes and my cuffs. I flicked off some of them rain from my jacket and hair as I headed to my desk.

"Urameshi! We have a problem!" Lin said running toward my desk. I put my helmet down and blinked at her.

"What do you mean Lin?" She stopped my desk and caught her breath while leaning on it. "Lin..."

"Note...at captian's desk...fire...Taku..." I was already heading toward the captian's desk before she finished. Captian Aki looked up at me as I entered without knocking.

"Yusuke..." He said surprised.

"Where's the fire?" I asked ignoring his shocked look.

"Yusuke don't you want to--"

"Tell me where the fuck is the fire Senki!" I slammed my fist down on the desk. He stared at me long and hard before sighing.

"The orphanage...where all the murder victims' kids went." He said finally. When he looked up toward me, I was already out the door. I ran to my desk and grabbed my helmet and stuff it out as I rushed out the precinct. "YUSUKE!" Both the captian and Lin shouted. Lin followed me outside in the rain.

"Yusuke! What do you think you can do?!" She yelled over the rev of my engine. I backed out of the space and spun the motorcycle around. "Yusuke! I'm your partner!"

"Taku is my friend! I can do a lot more that the firemen can!" I shouted. I was angry that I didn't see this coming. The children were gathered in on place. I ignored Lin and sped off toward the orphanage. My body ached as I crouched down closer the motorcycle. Taku...I promised him I'd see him. I had taken him to a photo booth and taken pictures with him, one of the days when I was with Shizuru. I was planning on going today after work. Damn that murderer I'll kill him. My eyes burned with rage as I got to the scene. The hospital-like building was red with fire. I stared at it with horror.

"Why aren't the pumps going?!" Someone shouted. I turned to see the firemen trying to get water out of the pump.

"Someone dried it up!"

"How the hell are we going to get in there!" Another firemen shouted of the roar of the flame. I growled under my breath. This was worse than I thought. I suddenly noticed Murakai walking toward me.

"What are you doing here Urameshi?" He asked glaring at me.

"How many kids are still in there?" I asked, glad my visor was black. He couldn't see the grim anger expression on my face.

"That Taku kid went back in to get a photo of his parents and you." Murakai said glaring at me harder than before. He had a soft spot for kids. I looked around and spotted a truck with a ramp not too far away. That would get me up on the second floor. "This is your fault Urameshi!"

"Shut up idiot!" I snapped at him in a deeper tone. He stepped back, shocked at my tone. "Get the dirt and sand down here if they can't get the water!" I turned my motorcycle and went behind the ramp revving it.

"What are you doing!?" Murakai asked not understanding.

"The ground way is blocked moron! I'm making an entrance and saving Taku." I replied throwing my guns down out of the holsters. I also started to put my leather gloves on, the handle bars would get hot.

"You better get out alive!" Murakai shouted as I revved my engine. I saluted and took off. I raced up the ramp and was soon sailing through the air. Leaning back so the front wheel would crash the the glass first I started to go down the hallways quickly, once I touched ground.

"TAKU!" I shouted. There was fifteen floors and I was only on the first one. My heart raced as I climbed up the stairwell after stairwell and raced down corridor after corridor. I repeatedly screamed Taku's name over and over again. The fire licked at my sides as I shouted again. "Taku! It's Yusuke!" I was on the tenth floor by then.

"Yusuke!" I heard. I followed the voice to a room. I heard crying and a scream. "Help!" I came to wall of fire and just ran through it, burning myself to get to him. I saw Taku curled up with a frame clutched in his grasp.

"Taku!" He looked up at me and cried. I quickly took off my leather jacket that protected me from the fire. "Get over here before the place collapses!" My voice was so commanding that he immediately obeyed. I wrapped him up in my jacket then took my helmet off and put it on him.

"Yusuke?" He questioned.
"To protect you from the fire and the smoke." I place in him front of me on the motorcycle as I turned and raced out of the ring of fire. My arms burned as the flames started to close in on us. I managed to get us down to the third floor before all the exits were blocked with debris. "Fuck!"

"Yusuke...It's hot!" Taku whimpered as the fire came closer and started to burn the leather.

"Taku, hold on. I'm getting us out of here!" I said I backed the bike up slightly. I revved the engine and spun the back wheel before taking off toward the only open window. My leather cuffs where starting to burn my skin. As I headed to the window, I knocked falling debris away from Taku as it fell. My arm was burned badly by the time I crashed through the third story window. A loud roaring sound sound came from behind us. I felt Taku cling to me as I gripped the handle bars. I felt the cool whip against us as we fell toward the ground. I managed to keep the motorcycle from falling as it swerved back and forth. I heard cheering as I swung it around to face the falling building. It had crumble as we left it. Lin was there with the Captian and Murakai.

"YUSUKE YOU DID IT!" She shouted as she ran up to us. I pulled Taku off my motorcycle and got off it myself, letting it lean on the kickstand. "You saved him!" She grinned at Captian Aki and Murakai made it to us. I knelt down in front of Taku and removed the helmet. He shrugged off the jacket as I started to pull it away and smiled at me.

"Thank you..." Taku replied raspily.

"Get a respirator," I said hoarsely. I knew I had more smoke from the fire in my lungs than Taku, but I didn't say anything. Captian Aki made Murakai rush over to get the medics as I knelt down by my motorcycle. I ran my fingers over the paint. The metal was hot and forced me to pull my hand away. I slowly stood up and peeled my leather gloves off. I threw them on the ground with a smack and flexed my hands. They were red, but not raw...not as much anyway.

"You're crazy..." Aki said as he stood next to me. I shrugged and turned to watch the medic make Taku breath in and out through the respirator. "How did you find him?"

"The old fashion way...." I replied.

"You mean you went floor by floor...and barely got burned?" He asked. I shrugged.

"My lucky strikes again," I murmured with a slight cough at the end. "I need to lay off the cigarettes for a while I guess..."
"I know you won't go to these medics Yusuke. You better get out of here before the media catches a glimpse of your face." Aki said as he smirked.

"Tch...Like I'd ever let them. I would leave, but my ride is melted down. I don't know how I got out." I looked at Aki and sighed. "Can you get someone to tow it over to my place and give me a ride so I can leave?"

"I'll do it!" Lin said as she bounced up to us. She fling her keys at me which smacked me in the chest and fell into my hand. "I'll also take care of your guns too!"

"Alright, where's your ride?" I said looking around. I didn't see any cars that I knew Lin would have. I saw a silver painted Yamaha similiar to mine, yet it looked newer. "That a Yamaha YZF600R?"

"You know it, 2005 too!" Lin said excitedly. I guess she really liked her motorcycle. It was like a blue color with silver. "Sixteen-valve, inline four-cyclinder engine. Keep it alive until I come to pick it up. I need it for stuff."

"Fine, Fine..." I headed over to the Yamaha and started it. I didn't even bother with my helmet as I just took off.

The sound of sirens, yells, cheers, and other noises faded. I need air. I felt my lungs burn slightly as I stopped the motorcycle in the park. I got off it and walked toward the cherry blossom grove. I wiped my face with my sleeve. Soot was left on my sleeve. I wonder how close I got to the fire. I stopped near a tree and grabbed the sleeve of my right arm. Moving it up out of the way, the redness of my tan skin glowed against the blackness of my demon marks. I sighed and tilted my head slightly. So, I was so focused my demon markings appeared. I looked around. No one was around as the wind ruffled my clothing. It was rain still, I realized. Even the fire couldn't be hindered by the rain. I rubbed my eyes and took a deep breath. I ended up in a cough. I covered my mouth as I continued to cough. I managed to stumble to the tree neck to me and lean against it. I pulled my hand away from my mouth to see blood.

"Oh yea, this day just keeps getting better and better." I murmured as I slid to the ground. I started to cough again, spitting up more blood. I felt it slowly slip down from my mouth to my chin. "Fuckin' fire..."

"Yusuke?" I looked up to see someone that I thought would never come to my rescue.
