"What are you doing here?" I asked before coughing again. Cool hands grabbed my hands and pulled them away from my mouth. I felt the softness of a handkerchief against my bottom lip and chin. I stared at them with unfocused eyes.

"Why are you coughing up blood?" The person asked. I chuckled darkly.

"I think rushing into a flaming building without anything covering my mouth and nose was it. I breathed in too much of the soot and smoke."

"Very noble of you..." They replied. I tilted my head back and looked into ruby red eyes.

"Well, thanks for clearing up the obvious Yukina." I grinned at her before coughing again. I felt blood spilt onto my hands again. Yukina knelt down and wiped the blood away again. An umbrella rested on her shoulder shielding her from the rain. "Why are you doing this?"

"I'm not going to leave you here to cough up blood and die." I smiled at her slightly.

"No, I guess not..." I replied. "I'll be fine...I just...need to rest." I said as my eyes began to droop close.

"Hey! Wait, you don't know if you'll wake up again!" She said as she shook me. I groaned and opened my eyes.

"Fine, Fine...if it would make you feel better." I murmured as I sat up straighter looked at her. "I should be fine. The pills I get from Dr. A should heal this up in an instant."

"Mou, are you sure Yusuke-kun?" I smiled. Yukina was always one to worry about the stupid things. I nodded to her and pulled at my cuffs moving them slightly. Yukina gasped as she saw my burnt arm.

"Yusuke! You want me to heal that?" Yukina said grabbing a hold of my arm. I shrugged. It didn't really matter to me. I just wanted to sit down for a while. I looked up at the sky as the wind blew. Yukina started to heal my arm as I just stared at the rain.

"Why are you walking around in the rain for?" I asked her. She pulled her hands away and held the umbrella over both us.

"Genkai is playing games and I decided that it would be a good time to take a walk." She replied with a smile.

"In the rain?" I asked blinking. "No offense Yukina, I just figured you'd like it dry where the sunshines and warms up everything." Yukina laughed.

"I know, but the rain makes the foliage sparkle with brilliance. Just to here the pitter patter of the rain while walking through the park is soothing." I agreed with her there.

"Hey Yukina...did you have any luck with finding your brother?" I asked turning toward her. She smiled sadly and shook her head no.

"No, it seems that my brother would rather be hidden from his own family than be found. I respect that, but I wish I could find him." She sniffled. I mentally groaned as I stood up and held my hand to her.

"No don't cry, I'm sure your brother just needs time." She looked up at me and held back her tears. I smiled as she grabbed my hand. I pulled her off the ground. "Would you like to take a walk?"

"Sure!" She said as we started to walk down the path. I held the umbrella so it covered us both. "Yusuke, may I ask you a question?"

"Shoot," I replied.

"Why did you disappear after the Sensui accident?" I stopped at that question and looked down at Yukina. "You don't have to answer...."

"Yukina, if I tell you promise not to tell anyone..." I said looked down. Yukina touched my arm and nodded.

"Of course," She murmured. I tightened my grip on the umbrella and took a deep breath.

"I'm sure Kuwabara told you about how I died by Sensui right?" I asked.

"Yes, I also felt it..." Yukina's red eyes became troubled. "Yusuke...did Sensui do something?"

"As he hit me, Sensui told me something that couldn't be possible. I can't tell you what but it wasn't good. It made me nervous and paranoid. So I left to think things through a bit, or at least until I could calm myself down." I said. "What he said is coming back to haunt Yukina, that's all that's going on." I smiled at her. "Nothing more than nightmares."

"Oh Yusuke..." She hugged me around my waist, trying to comfort me. "I wish there was a way to give you peace...you and everyone else." I tilted my head to the side and smiled.

"Do you need a ride home?" I asked.

"Can you get me to the arcade? That's where Genkai is at." Yukina said as she let go of me. I laughed and nodded.

"Sure, let's get back to the motorcycle." I said as we turned around. Once at the motorcycle I opened the seat up and pulled out Lin's trench coat. "Ah, this will do..." I put it around Yukina's shoulders as she closed the umbrella. I put the seat down as she blinked in confusion.

"Uh, Yusuke...what's this for?" She asked as I got on the motorcycle.

"To keep you dry of course." I replied. She moved toward me and sat on the motorcycle with her legs hanging of the left side. I put my helmet on her and laughed as it was too big. "Hang on to me Yukina. I won't go fast but I don't want you to fall."

"Alright..." She wrapped her arms around my waist as I started the engine. I slowly pulled out of the park and turned toward the arcade. "Hey Yusuke, do you think you can come visit Genkai and I soon? She misses you, you know." I laughed at that as I stopped at the stop light.

"I'm sure she does." I held the motorcycle up as I clear my throat. "Damn, I really got to think before I act."

"But isn't that you're strong point? Making a plan as you go?" Yukina said with a giggle. "I couldn't imagine Yusuke changing from that."

"Yea, I guess..." I trailed off as I glanced around a bit. When the light turned green I went off again. Soon we were at the arcade Kuwabara and I use to play at. "Here you are Yukina, tell Genkai I said hello." She got off and gave me the helmet and the coat.

"Thanks for the ride Yusuke." She leaned in and kissed me on the cheek. "You really should get some sleep, you look terrible."

"So I've been told." I grinned at her making her laugh.

"Seriously Yusuke, I don't want you to be an insomniac." Yukina said as she got her laughter under control.

"You know what they say, no rest for the wicked." I countered. She sighed and shook her head. "Good night Yukina." I replied as I started to roll away. I made sure Yukina got safely inside the arcade before speeding off. I headed downtown, into the shady district. I glanced about as all the thugs and the gangster wannabes glared at me with hungry eyes. I glared back at them. The coldness and fierceness of my glare caused them to turn their heads away. I smirked and stopped in front of a club called Fate. I looked at the bare club and the bouncer leaning outside beside the door. He had brown hair that went to just about his shoulders and brown eyes. He was about six foot one. He only wore a vest and a pair of camouflage pant with boots. His full body tattoo only showed from the waist up due to the pants. I watched him grin at me and raise his hand in a greeting.

"Yo Yusuke!" He called. I turned off my bike and put the kick stand down as I got off.

"Hey Kou, is Sion inside?" I asked as I jumped over the railing to the door.

"Yea, I'm about to switch shifts with Volt. You need to talk to us?" He asked as I opened the door. I nodded and went in, with Kou at my back. I looked from the bar to the balcony above it. I saw a blonde haired girl with a young brown haired man with blue eyes. A large man with spikes coming out of his head passed Kou and I to the outside. He glanced down at me briefly for exiting the building. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"Damn that guy is scary," I sighed as Kou led me up the stairs. He laughed at me.

"Volt still intimidating you Mr. Fearless?" I shook my head and smiled at the blonde haired girl and the brown haired boy.

"Hey Dominique, Sion." I said ignoring Kou.

"Hey Yusuke-chan!" Dominique said hugging me. I hugged her back then looked at Sion. Dominique let go and walked to him. I shook his hand and smiled.

"Hey Sion," I said.

"Good to see you alive Yusuke." He let go of my hand and stared at me. I nodded slightly. "Hey, Dominique want to help Harry with the bar? We need to talk man to man."

"Psh," Dominique crossed her arms and headed to the stairs. "Man to man, what's the difference between us?" She walked down the stairs. I laughed and looked at Sion as the three of us sat down.

"So Yusuke, I assume you need information?" Kou said folding his arms. I glanced at Kou and put my elbows on table and leaned forward.

"I need that information I asked for. I know you haven't been to the precinct today, because I was supposed to call you guys to come down." I said as I glanced at them both.

"Yea, don't want to be stopped for looking suspicious..." Kou snorted and rolled his eyes. "Damn demons keep coming around here for a fight. More than usual." I know I looked surprised because Kou continued to talk. "Nothing we couldn't take care of, Of course!" I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Just give me the damn file..." I held my hand out. Sion reached into his jacket and pulled out a manilla envelope. He handed to me and started to explain as I went through it.

"Multiple murders with the parents dead. The fathers were mostly murdered and sometimes the mothers, but they were in some way raped." Sion whispered.

"Each family had one kid. They were all boys, ages ranging from 6 to 10." Kou picked up. I stopped going through the file and looked up. This is to similar to be a different person. It is also too planned out. I put my hand to my mouth and thought for a bit. This guy is accurate on his kills. He makes it look like murders of a demon to the normal eye, but to mine...it is as if it were made by a human. Damn, this guy was good.

"Alright, thanks for the info guys." I said standing up. I closed the file and picked it up. "I got to head home and check on something."

"Wait, Yusuke..." Sion said grabbing my cuffed wrist. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow. He let go of me and pulled out an invitation. I pulled it away from Sion and cursed. I put it on the table with the seal up. "YUSUKE!" Kou shouted as I rushed out of the door with the file. I jumped over the railing ignoring Volt and tossed the files into the seat. I started the motorcycle and zoomed off, heading home.

After a quick ride home, I parked the bike in the driveway and growled when I spotted a letter pinned to my door with a dagger. Grabbing the files from the seat I went to the door. I pulled the dagger out as I held the letter. I turned it over to see the seal of the Dark Tournament Officials. Damn...they sent one to Kou and Sion too. I walked into my house slamming the door closed. I used the dagger to open the envelope as I headed to my office upstairs. As I entered the office I threw the dagger behind me. It hit the ajar door and slammed it shut.

The Dark Tournament Committee.'

I threw the letter onto my desk and pounded my fist on it. How the fuck did they find me? I am unlisted in the books and computers. I ran a hand through my hair and sat down at my desk. I lied the file Kou gave me on the desk on top of my laptop which was next to my scanner. I set the Tournament's invitation on top and stared at it with a passion of anger. I snatched it up and stuffed into deep into my desk drawers.

"Damn it all to hell!" I opened my laptop and put my CD mix in. I then hooked up the scanner to it and slowly began scanning the pictures of the injured backs. I knew it was something about these pictures that was getting me edgy. I put all the loaded pictures into a file and sent it to a friend. Her screen name was Jaxxia. She's good with puzzles maybe she'll help me out. I yawned and rubbed my eyes. Deciding to check out the written files, I put my laptop to the side, letting it continue playing my music still. I pulled out a pair of small oval glasses. I laughed a bit as I put them on. Doctor said I didn't need them, but when I read a lot I get migraines. If I have my glasses on, my migraines don't hurt as much. Maybe that's why I skipped school a lot.

I started to read the less gruesome files first. It turned out that the less gruesome ones were just as gory as what happened to Taku's parents. I dreaded to think what happened to the really nasty ones. I shivered and rubbed my eyes under my glasses. "This is going to take forever." I didn't hear the beep on my computer and jumped when another voice spoke.

"Really Yusuke, you always think things take forever." I looked at my open laptop and saw a window opened. It read: Webcam Connection Requested. I flipped the camera at the top of the laptop toward me and clicked 'OK' as I lowered the music volume. Blue eyes smiled at me as the red haired woman laughed. "You should look at your face," She said with a giggle. "Are you that surprised I'm on?"

"I got distracted so sue me." I replied as I put the files down.

"How much you worth?" She grinned. I smirked. It was a game between friends...a flirting game.

"What you looking for sweetheart?" Shamelessly flirting, it was great. Took my mind off of things at least.

"Something big," She wiggled her eyebrows at me. "And hard if you can manage it." I laughed and shook my head.

"You are too much Jaxxia," I pushed my glasses up as my eyes glinted deviously. "And you know I can manage that...and more."

"I would hope so," She chuckled. "Or I would think you were less than a man."

"Alright, alright, enough....what do you have?" I asked. I really wanted to solve this goddamned crime.

"I have my other computer on that. It's going to go through every possibility known any criminal file in the world." She said. "How's that for hacking into the world's system?"

"Great, but I need you with me. You know the computer ain't secure." I said as I leaned back on the chair.

"Really, you NEED moi? Yusuke I'm touched..." Jaxxia said going back to our game. "I mean you liked me but to NEED me is something else."

"Oh yes my love, I need you more than anything else." I joked with her. "I need you to get your ass over here."

"Yusuke, I have no money to stay there for a long while. Maybe a day...two at the most." I groaned.

"Fine, I'll boost your ride and you can stay at my place. I have two spare rooms."

"And if you have guests?" She gave me a cute puppy look. I rolled my eyes. "Do I get to sleep in your room?"

"Sure honey," I said sweetly. "And I'll get the glass room." Jaxxia pouted.

"You're no fun," She said. "Fine, I'll pack but for how long?" I sat for a moment thinking for a while.

"Pack for a month Jaxxia. It's Fall here so pack for cold weather. If you need anything....." I sighed. "I'll pay for it, so don't worry."

"Cover my expenses eh?" She grinned. "Keep me warm to?"

"I'm booking for the soonest straight flight to Tokyo. I'll text you the time and airplane." I said ignoring her last comment.

"Cold..." She said laughing. "See you soon Yusuke-dear!" With that she signed off the Webcam and disconnect. Raising the music volume, I closed out of the program and sighed. I quickly booked her ticket for the flight that would get here by tomorrow afternoon and sent her a copy via began to read them again. Argh this is going a long email. Leaning back I stared at the files, I slowly sat up straight and day.

Later, after reading all the reports and putting them into the locked drawer with my laptop I was about ready to puke. This murderer was consistent on the ways of his kills. They weren't exactly the same, but they all ended up with the adult females and males being rape and killed, the children were often left alive and raped. Most of them were little boys and each of the children had a knife or whip mark on their back. All the precincts in these murder cases, including mine, tried DNA testing. The damn murder is unlisted in any of the major federal organizations of the world. I had about enough of this and I was about to pull out.

I shook my head and stood up stretching. I couldn't pull out now. Not when kids like Taku are becoming orphaned by a person the regular boys in blue think it is something supernatural. I walked out of my office not bother to pull out the dagger from the door and headed to my room. I went to my bed and laid down. Thankfully, I had my mom do the laundry, which led her to the truth. I told her about Kurama and I before I entered the precinct. She was going to give me an earful tomorrow when Jaxxia arrives. I groaned and curled up on my bed. I was tired and wanted nothing more than to sleep. My heavy eyes drifted closed. Darkness was ally and my friend. I greeted it with happiness as I drifted off to sleep. I didn't notice that my window was slightly ajar or the person that climbed through it.
