Neptune's Mirror: This chapter is coming for two reasons, one is that Angel of Forgotten Souls emailed me to ask me to update it, and the other is that my mom went all psycho clean your room, so I found the paper version.(I know, I lose it a lot) This chapter might be short since I've got a lot of rewriting to do, but I felt I had to put something up.

Yusuke's POV

“How much farther?” I asked Hiei after we'd been searching for a few hours. I was worried, this was taking too long, and time was something we didn't have a lot of.
“It isn't far.”
I wonder where he is. It's probably a trap. But we can get through it, just beat all the guards. It'll be easy.
“Here,” Hiei said, stopping in an empty clearing. I looked around for something, but there was nothing there.
“Hiei, there's nothing here,” I replied, wondering what was wrong with him. He pointed at a spot where the grass was a different color.
“Down there”
“Oh, right,” I said. Man, I feel a lot better when Kuwabara's around to say all the stupid stuff.

Kurama's POV

Here they come again. This time they try both physical and mental pain this time. It hurts, and I can't do anything about it. There's only room left for one thought in my mind, I won't scream. I won't scream. After what seems like hours they leave. I haven't screamed. I try to stay conscious long enough to think of a plan, but I feel the darkness encroaching. My last thought before I pass out is let them come soon.

Hiei's POV

It's proving more difficult than I thought to get down into the compound. Despite having cleared away the layer of grass, there seems to be no way to open the door. It's probably mentally opened. I try my jagan, and sure enough the door opens after a few moments.
“Let's go,” I say to Yusuke, hardly looking back to see if he's following as I drop down into the complex.

Kurama's POV

Where are they. I don't think I can't take it. Right now, I'm almost bored, staring at these walls, but I know they'll be back, and I don't know how long I can keep from screaming. Every time the mental lashing goes deeper, every time I feel myself losing my mind a little more. At this rate, will there even be anything left for the others to find. Hiei, hurry up, you should be here by now. Why haven't you come?
The attack resumes almost before I realize they're in the room. All that's left is not to scream. I WON'T SCREAM. I WON'T. But what if I do?

Hiei's POV

Now, just to find him. Down here, he's easy to sense, though that pain twisted mind is hardly recognizable as the same strong Youko I fight beside. I nearly cringe as I sense the depth of the injury, but keep my expression guarded. I try not to let anyone see me as I walk down the narrow corridor, but Yusuke makes far too much noise for stealth. It doesn't matter, everyone is otherwise occupied. We soon reach the door he's behind. The locks are undone, and others are there with him, torturing him, I draw my sword, ready to fight.

Kurama's POV

The mental pictures come again, even crueler than before. If only I could fight them. I try to draw myself into good memories, but they become warped, becoming what I seek to hide from. Yet this is all I can attempt. I draw myself mentally into a small corner, trying to block it out, and failing miserably. Just before I know I'm going to lose the battle, I see, through tear filled eyes, Hiei and Yusuke burst through the door. I know I'm saved now, but the creatures don't, they continue their attack, physical and mental, until they finally notice Hiei. He seems to be taking great pleasure in chopping them all to pieces. The remaining demons withdraw their attack on me and redirected onto Yusuke and Hiei. It seems to have some effect on Yusuke as he pauses mid punch, but it just makes Hiei angrier. He proceeds to cut them into incredibly small pieces. Then he walks over to me, looking critically at my ravaged body. I see a look of concern briefly on his face before he covers it.
“Baka, you aren't supposed to get kidnapped,” he says, though not with much venom, as he cuts me loose.
