Author's Notes: Here's chapter 3! ^^ Hope you enjoy this one as there's some action in it. By the way, Kurama's mother isnt in a relationship in this fic just incase you were wondering where his stepfather and stepbrother is.

Story Notes: By the way, in this fic, Yusuke and Kuwabara transferred to Kurama's school. It makes it easier for my story. ^^

Chapter Introduction: The new character's revealed and Rena meets the rest of the gang and makes some new best friends. Which ones? You'll have to find out. We left off at...hmm..when Hiei attacked the newcomer.

Previous Chapter:

A shadowed figure rushes through the open window in a blur and stands before Rena. The figure can easily be seen as a male now with his broad chest and height of about 6 feet 2 inches tall. His short spikey hair was darker than the darkest of nights with dark grey streaks running through it. "I finally found you...," Before he can finish his sentence, Hiei attacked with his katana but didn't connect with anything.

"I'm behind you." Hiei turns around, looking up at the tall figure. "I mean you no harm. I'm he--" Before he can finish he lost his breath thanks to Rena.

"Nii-chan!!" Rena had launched herself into the said figure's arms. Kurama and Hiei still standing there, sweatdrop and simultaneously repeated after her, "Nii-chan?"

"Ah, imoto-chan. Where have you been? I've sent four of them out to find you and I find you here."

"Ah, well.. I was hurt during the hunt and got injured when these two rushed onto the scene. It distracted me, so..they uhm, scratched me, well, more like clawed me but, you get it."

"Ah, souka," he nods. "But that doesn't explain why you're still here. You should've been healed up within ten hours."

"Oh yeah! I have to introduce these two to you. They caused my injury, but they still helped me." Rena points to each after introducing their names. "That's Kurama or Shuichi..I'm still confused on what to call him and that shorty over there by the window is Hiei."

Kurama sweatdrops. 'He's short, but..oh nevermind..' He shakes his head.

"Hn."

"Well? What took you so long?"

"Ah, I had a fun time with ..Shu-, er..Kurama's mother. That's all."

"Just call me Kurama. Most of my friends call me that."

"Ah, okay."

"Be back by tomorrow afternoon. You still have to attend that thing you call school." He disappears.

"Feh, always with the flashy entrance and exit," Rena mutters.

Hiei looks up from his spot on the window and faces Rena. "Who was that? And don't say 'Nii-chan'"

"Okay then, he's someone who has the same job as I do."

"What is exactly that job of yours?"

"That's for me-" Before she could finish, Kurama interrupts.

"That's for me to know and for you to find out.. yeah yeah I know," he sighs. "Oh, and why is it that you seem more open all of a sudden? Well, not open but cheery."

"That's because nii-chan visited."

"Right." Hiei flits out the window and into the night.

"Well, goodnight, Kurama and goodbye because I won't be here tomorrow morning unless you're an early riser." With that, she fell asleep.

Hiei comes back later that night and falls asleep in the tree right outside the window.

Next morning around 6:00 AM:

Shiori has already awoken from her deep slumber. She was still in her pajamas since she had no need to present herself to the public so early in the morning. She figured she would do that after breakfast was prepared and ready for eating. Curious as to how Rena might be doing, she decided she would check on them after she gets a glass of water from the kitchen and get washed up.

After doing so, she went into the livingroom to find Shuichi sleeping peacefully on the couch. Smiling, she heads upstairs towards Shuichi's room.

Having been awake since the sun rised, I sit in Kurama's chair and stared out the window. Several minutes later, my head swivels towards a noise at the bed. I find the sleeping girl has shifted and muttering something incoherent. It sounded something like birds and foxes to my ears. Raising a brow , I stalk over to her bedside and listen more intently and found she WAS talking about birds and such. What an annoyance.

I perk up when I heard the stairs creak. His mother must be coming. Ah, where to hide? Where to hide? I look around myself frantically, searching for somewhere to hide myself. This is not good.

Once I reached his room, I thought I heard something fall, so I opened the door quickly to find no one there other than Rena sleeping peacefully, snuggling under the covers. I smile and pulled the cover under her chin. I look around once more to make sure. The window is securely closed, nothing's out of place. I leave to make breakfast, reassured and glad to know my Shuichi has made another friend.

Phew... That was close. Slowly, I slipped out of the closet. Should be leaving now. I glance at the girl once more, opened the window and disappeared from the Minamino residence.

Rena woke up to a gentle shaking of her shoulders. She opened her eyes blearily and found herself staring into a pair of familiar emerald-green eyes. "Uh..?"

"Time to get up and get dressed. It's almost time for breakfast."

"Ah..Un."

"We're getting up earlier today to get you home to get dressed in your school uniform. Then we can head off to school together."

'Damn. I slept too late. I was planning on leaving before dawn. Oh well.' "Alright then."

Several minutes later, everyone was dressed and eating in the dining room. Kurama was sitting across from Rena and they were both situated next to Shiori. The three had a pleasant conversation about the garden while eating. They found Shiori adores Wisterias, Shuichi's favorite flower are roses, and Rena loves dragon snaps and lily flowers. About a half an hour later, breakfast was finished.

"Arigato for the delicious breakfast, Shiori-san," Rena bows and gives the lady a bright smile.

Kurama turned just at the right moment. 'She sure has a nice smile. She should do so more often. However, I know I won't see it much anymore if at all.' He takes the dishes to the sink to distract himself.

"No problem. Please come over again sometime. It was fun having you over Rena."

"Hai, I will Shiori-san. However, that may be very few. My older brother and I work several hours after school. I can however, visit at other times such as right after school or on weekends. Will that be convenient? I enjoyed your company greatly. Shuichi-kun sure is lucky to have a nice mother like you."

At this, both Kurama and Shiori smile. "Why yes, you're correct. My mother is wonderful." 'She called me Shuichi-kun? Must be because of my mother.'

"Shuichi-kun dear, you're embarassing me. You must have a very nice mother too to raise such a fine young girl such as yourself."

Rena smiles pleasantly and decided to tell at least something of herself. "My mother? She passed away quite some time ago. I didn't get to know her so I wouldn't know what kind of mother I had."

Son and mother's eyes widened. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bring such things up."

"It's quite alright. You cannot love one who has died before you can talk."

'She lost her mother? She must have had it tough. But then again, I lost my father too.'

'Rena-san... No mother. Her father must have done wonders.'

"Well then, I'm sure your father has done a wonderful job. He must be worried about you now."

"My father has also passed away."

At this comment, Shiori couldn't take it anymore and hugged the ebony-haired girl. "I'm so sorry dear. I didn't realize." Rena returns the hug warmly.

'Her brother did the raising her then. But...they looked so close in age. However, the lighting wasn't good so I couldn't exactly tell.' Kurama kept his eyes on her though watching for any change in facial expression and found none. Her eyes didn't show any hurt or pain either. Perhaps she cut off some emotions?

"Tis quite alright. I do not mind as he died when I was young as well."

"Okaa-san, it's time we leave."

The two females released each other. Rena smiles. "See you soon, Shiori-san!"

"Goodbye! Remember to come over some time soon!" Shiori waves goodbye to the departing pair. "Such a strong young girl...," she whispered after them then headed inside.

They walked for several minutes heading towards nowhere really since Kurama didn't know where Rena lives. "Rena-san, where do you live? We should head there to get your school uniform."

"Ah." A flash of blue light and Kurama finds himself standing right infront of a large gate with Rena right beside him. "Wait here."

"Ah..hai." 'She can teleport?!' He looks around himself 'THIS is her home? Big place.' He watches in surprise as the gates open automatically for her then close behind her. 'This place is enhanced by magic and a great amount of youki and energies? Quite interesting. However, it's masked so it's quite hard to tell. I even have to pry into it just to feel it slightly.'

Her home was quite big. You can see through the front gates, but the barred fence that surrounded the property were covered with thick, leafy vines preventing you from looking into the estate.

A good ten minutes later, Rena reappears dressed in her uniform. Another flash of blue light and they're in an ally two blocks away from school. "..." Shuichi stands there confused. 'We teleported again.' Rena, however was already walking.

"Are you coming or not?" She asked in her monotone voice.

Kurama was knocked out of his stupor with her cold tone. 'She's back to being..her again I guess.' "Ah, coming. Sorry." She shrugs and continues walking as he jogs several steps to catch up.

The pair caught quite some attention while walking those two blocks to school. The girls weren't very pleased with the new girl walking with THEIR Shuichi to school while the guys wanted the new girl to themselves.

The students talked among themselves about what they were witnessing.

"Minamino-kun has never had a girl with him before!!!"

"What does that little bitch have that we don't?"

"Looks perhaps?" A random guy suggests.

"Shut up!"

"She's hot and you aint!"

"Minamino always has the girls. Now he even gets the new girl!"

*Sigh* "You really can't blame the girls. He's got the looks."

"He's such a goody two shoes too. He doesn't ever get into trouble."

"Stupid geniuses these days."

"Do you think if I become a genius, she would walk with me?"

"Feh, yeah right. Keep dreamin! I'm gettin her!"

"Haven't you heard though? She dislocated Senma-kun's arm when he flirted with her."

"Yeah..but he touched her. And plus, he deserves a lesson."

"You're right."

Back to Rena and Kurama:

Around them, they heard the whispers and promptly ignored them and entered the building. Well, they almost entered the building before two hands were placed on Kurama's shoulder. The two were known as the top fighters in the neighborhood. "Hello there Yusuke, Kuwabara-kun."

"Yo Kura- Shuichi! How ya doin'?"

"Fine, and you, Yusuke?"

"Henki Henki!!" Yusuke laughs that well-known, loud, confident happy laugh.

"Yo Minamino. Who's the chick?"

Kurama sweatdrops then regains his posture. "Let me introduce you guys. The black-haired guy is Yusuke, and the other one is Kuwabara. This is Rena-san."

"Yo!"

"Nice ta meetcha!"

Rena just stares at them. After a few long seconds she nods as a greeting then walks off.

"Cold chick you got there. How can you go with such a block of ice?"

"NANI?! I'm not going with anyone! I just met her two days ago! I happened to bump into her by accident and we walked to school together." 'Well..sort of an accident..'

"You never have a girl wit you! But then again, most girls go goo goo ga ga over you so I understand."

"Yeah, and most aren't all that pretty. Unlike Yukina-san!!!" The other two boys sweatdrop. "Ahh...Yukina-saaaannn.."

"Ah, sou... Well, I'm heading off to class. See you two later."

"Ja ne!"

"Ja!"

During lunch period, Rena decided she would have her lunch on the school roof where she could feel the wind and be somewhere high up. She jumped up onto the ledge of the wire fence just as the door opened and Yusuke appeared. Yusuke gave a surprised shout at seeing Rena standing on the fence. Getting the wrong idea, he yelled out, "DON'T DO IT!" At that moment, Rena sat down and opened her bento box and started eating. After the first bite, she asked "Don't do what? Am I not allowed to eat?"

"Eat..?"

Rena simply stared at him.

"What did you think I was doing?"

"I..er..thought you were going to jump off... ahahahaaaa.."

"Hn..." She continued eating.

"Isn't it a bit dangerous up there?" He peered up at her nervously finding it very nerve wrecking to watch a girl sit up there eating nonchalantly and looking down at the buildings below.

"No."

"Ah, honto.. What are you doing up here on the roof anyway?"

"Eating."

"I can see that! I meant why are you here??"

"To eat."

"ARRGGHH!! Not that!! Okay..why do you like the roof?"

"The wind and sight."

"...right..whatever that means.."

"Baka. It means she likes to feel the wind and to see everything from a high vantage point."

Yusuke nearly jumped out of his skin. "Hiei?!?! When'd you get here?"

"He's been here."

"For how long??"

"Ten minutes approximately."

"Are you two in this on me or somethin'?" Yusuke asked with a raised brow.

"No." They simultaneously answered.

Yusuke, with his eyebrow still raised, eyed them suspiciously. 'This is very weird...' "You guys know each other?!"

"Yes as a matter of fact."

"How long?"

"Hn... Three days."

"Really...," Yusuke tilted his head to the side. "Seems a bit more than just three days."

No reply.

"By the way, if you're lookin' for Kurama, all ya gotta do is look for a crowd o' girls. He'll prolly be in the middle of it. If not, then he's cornered."

"Didn't come for that."

"Oh. Uh..huh.. Well, I'm going to eat lunch now."

"We weren't stopping you," they both said at once. They look at each other and shrug.

Hiei and Rena had a quiet conversation themselves while Yusuke ate and watched the pair with wary eyes. 'What the hell? Hiei talking so much and it's not with Kurama... The world is turning upside down and inside out. Koenma better tell me when the pigs are goin' ta start flyin'.'

The conversation went from weapons of choice, to food, to favorite places, to weird youkai. It seems the two have found a new best friend. Of course there would be more to know of each other and to talk about as well, but for now, this was a great start for the two of them since they were known for not revealing much about themselves.

Yusuke watched astounded as the two bid goodbye to each other and smile before parting. Hiei disappeared from sight as usual while Rena flipped off the fence and landed infront of Yusuke, surprising him, making him jump up and spill his drink on himself. "Kuso!! You made me spill my soda!!"

"You can blame that on yourself. You should be more aware of your surroundings. You could be easy prey." With a barely visible smile, she left him standing there. He blinked once, then twice, muttered something incoherent then went inside. The late bell rings just as the roof door closes behind him. You can hear a muffled "SHIMATTA!! KEIKO'S GONNA KILL ME!" behind the metal door.

Right after the school clubs were over, Rena, Kurama, and the rest of the students who attended the clubs, walked out the front gate of the school. Kurama exited the school gates and turns right to proceed to walk home. As he passes the third tree, Hiei jumps down from it and walks beside him. At that time, Rena shows up, walking a bit further back, which was several feet. "Hmn?"

Hiei seemed to notice her and turned to say hi. "Hello Rena."

"Hello Hiei."

"Hiei, is there something wrong?" Kurama asked, slightly worried.

"Hn. There is nothing wrong with me."

"You said 'Hello'."

"Yes, I said hello to a 'friend' as you ningen call it."

"Ah, souka." Kurama was slightly baffled by Hiei's strange behavior. Hiei never says hello except to him. He watched as the two started talking about different icecream flavors and sweatdrops. 'So, maybe that's why they hit off so well. They both have a sweet tooth.' After a few more minutes, he realized they both will gladly kill anything that get in their way. 'No love for ningen either...besides a selected few.'

"I have to depart from here." She stops and waits for the lights to turn red.

"See you at school, Rena-san."

"Ah. Ja Shuichi."

"Ja Rena."

"Ja Hiei."

With that, they seperated and headed off to their respective homes. Except for Hiei that is. He sleeps in trees in the park.

Four days have passed since then. It is now a Sunday.

"Hihi!! Botan desu!" Botan entered Yusuke's room through the window, sitting on her oar.

"Oh, hey botan!"

"Konnichiwa Botan-chan. How have you been?" Yukina greeted her politely with a warm smile.

"Konnichiwa Botan-chan!" greeted Kuwabara, Keiko, and Shizuru. Shizuru had her usual cigarette.

"Hello there, Botan-san."

She smiles and giggles. "Koenma-sama has a new mission for you guys! And this time, you guys get a temporary partner that Koenma-sama hired!"

"He hires people?"

"Well, yes! There are people who Koenma-sama can hire if he can give them something they want."

"That kid GIVES them something THEY want?"

"Yep yep!"

Yusuke crosses his arms and 'hmph's. "We don't ever get anything!"

"That's because you're not hired. They're special people. Usually S and A Class youkai and such that are willing to be hired," Botan waves her index finger at Yusuke. "Besides, this one is going to be a hard case."

"Hn. I can do it on my own."

"I'm afraid you can't Hiei. I don't mean to offend you of course...Aheh.." 'Phew. Don't wanna die just yet even if I am already quite dead.'

"Keh."

"Demo, what's so special 'bout this mission that the toddler needs ta hire someone?" Kuwabara questioned.

"You'll see! You'll see!" She giggles. "Oh yeah! Keiko, Shizuru-san! Let's go shopping this Tuesday! It's a holiday so there's no school!

"Sure! I'd love to Botan-chan!"

"Good idea. I need to get a few things anyway. Perhaps a new lighter."

"Ne, Shizuru-san. Smoking isn't good for your health," Kurama stated.

"I know." He sweatdrops.

"So when do we meet at his office?" Kurama acquired.

"In a half an hour. Well, I'll see you there!" With that, the blue-haired girl flew out the window and into the sky.

Half an hour later:

"Keiko, Shizuru, Yukina. We'll be back soon. Please stay here as we might need your help in planning and discussion." Kurama wondered who it would be that he would need to work with.

"No problem." A puff of smoke. "Me and Keiko-chan will have some girl talk while you guys recieve your mission and partner. We'll get to meet him right?"

"I suppose so." With that, Kurama opened a portal and off they were to Reikai.

They were all in the office already and awaiting their mission. "Watch him give us no head or tail for this mission too."

"Urameshi's probably right. Demo, I still wanna kick some butt. Need to exercise my reiken!"

"Keh! No matter how much you practice your reiken can't beat my reigun."

"We'll see about that Uramesh!!" A glare war begins.

"Now now, guys. Calm down. Do you want to present yourself to the new member while being so childish?"

"You called me childish??"

"You heard me."

"Oh fine fine fine."

"Greetings Reikai Tantei. I have a new mission for you. However, we will have to wait for the temporary member."

"Who is he?" Kuwaraba was curious.

"Tis not a he. Tis a she."

"You givin' us a girl???"

"Not just any girl, Yusuke!! I had to ask my father to borrow her and father had to ask her if I could!" Koenma stood up in his chair and barked the words out.

"Hold it hold it. Enma-sama is your father right? 'n he's the king of hell aint he? Why he got to ask some youkai??"

"Because he's only hiring her too! Enma-sama, my father lets her take most jobs. That's why you get stuck doing some of the lower ones."

"You call those lower????"

"In her terms, yes."

Hiei and Kurama raises a brow and look at each other questioningly then shrug it off. Do you know of this?

Hn. No. If I did, I would have told you, fox.

Kurama nods. We'll have to wait then.

"How strong is she??"

"Her and her brother are the only ones my father trusts to get the jobs done clean and fast."

"Brother?" Hiei and Kurama asks.

"Yes brother. They usually work as a team. However, father only allowed one because he needed things to get done and they get paid for every job. He wanted to let her brother do the job, but he refused to work with anyone other than his sister. Father therefor didn't want to lend me help, so I had to beg. Finally, by some miracle, Father finally convinced her to cooperate with you guys to make this mission quick."

"Enma-sama of HELL!! had to CONVINCE some GIRL to join us?" Yusuke fumed. "That makes us seem so low!"

"Dang, she must be good," Kuwabara commented.

"Indeed."

"Hn."

"Well, it was hard getting her so you better not make her leave! She's very quiet and reserved and doesn't like noise or disturbances. She doesn't hesitate to kill anyone or anything that gets in her way including you. Father and I can't do anything about it if she kills you, or we lose one of the best people on our side, so be careful and BEHAVE! I can't warn you enough about her! Don't hit on her either. That's the stupidest thing you can do," Koenma takes a deep breath.

"Also, if anything gets too dangerous, let her handle it. She will most likely do fine. However, she usually works with her brother, so she will probably pick someone in your team who she can work best with. I can tell you no more or I will anger her. I don't want to lose my head."

"Feh, coward," Yusuke snorts.

"Yeah, the son of Enma-sama afraid of some slip of a girl!" Kuwabara adds.

"Don't say that!! Her and her brother can kill you anytime!" Koenma suckles on his pacifier nervously. 'and me!' he adds as an afterthought.

"Don't worry about it, Koenma. I will make sure nothing goes out of hand," Kurama reassured.

"I trust you will, Kurama." He clears his throat and adds. "You will find out about her powers along the way. Do not mess with anyone of hers."

"What do you mean by that?" Yusuke furrowed his eyebrows trying to take everything in. Kuwabara was just confused, standing there and trying to do the same as Yusuke. Kurama and Hiei however, were wondering just what kind of person she is.

The door creaked open and entered a female with jet black hair with dark blue streaks running through it. Her eyes were a slitted deep blood red. Her ears were slightly pointed, similar to elven ears. She was quite the pretty girl through and through. She wore a short midnight blue kimono with stars decorating it that revealed her slim legs. Her obi was a ice blue color as well as the bow on her back. On her shoulder, sat a small grey fox with it's long tail which was way more than it's body length. It waved it's tail about and his eyes seemed to smile with joy.

"Koenma, I'm here. Are these the Reikai Tantei you asked of me to work with?" Her voice was colder than ice as were her eyes.

When she spoke you can see her sharp fangs. Yusuke and Kuwabara shuddered as they saw her pointed nails and sharp fangs. Hiei and Kurama however looked slightly confused.

I swear I've heard her voice somewhere before.

Hn. It's quite familiar, isn't it.

"Let me introduce you."

"The tall redhead is Kuwabara Kazuma. He's a goofball similar to a certain someone."

"Hey," He waves.

"The dark-haired dressed in a green school uniform is Urameshi Yusuke. He's the foulmouthed one and the certain someone I spoke of is him."

"Yo!" He gives that lopsided smile.

"The one standing next to the shorter guy and clad in a chinese sort of uniform is Kurama. He's the intelligent and only intelligent one of the group."

"Hello. Nice to meet you."

"I RESENT THAT!" Both Kuwabara and Yusuke shouted.

Koenma waves them off.

"The last one is Hiei. He's the fastest and quietest of the group."

Hiei doesn't say anything. He only stared at her nonchalantly. Koenma was prepared to dive under the desk incase she decided to kill Hiei for disrespect but was surprised when she only smirked. 'Eh..?'

All she did was nod as a greeting. The others were slightly peeved by her cold appearance but hid it. Kurama and Hiei were used to it due to knowing Rena so they didn't care.

Gesturing towards the youkai girl, he introduces her. "Reikai Tantei, meet Rena." The fox on her shoulder mewled. "Oh, and that's Miko." Koenma points to the fox. Hiei facefaults and Kurama loses his posture slightly as a sweatdrop rolls down the side of his head. "It IS you...," both faced her and simultaneously said.

"Oh. Why yes it is me."

"Didn't expect to see you other than on a school day," Kurama smiled. She shrugs.

"Not happy to see me?"

"That's not it. Just unexpected," Kurama smiles politely.

Everyone else watched the exchange. Kuwabara and Yusuke have completely forgotten who she is, so she's a complete stranger to them. Koenma's jaw was about to drop.

"You not happy to see me either, Hiei-kun?"

"Hn. Does it matter?"

"Why yes it does" She teases him.

"Fine. I'm happy to see you."

"Now, that's a good boy." She ruffles his hair affectionately. He growls, but doesn't do anything other than that. She giggles. "Missed you too" she sarcastically said.

Everyone else promptly fell over except Kurama who's seen this before. "Don't do that in public!"

"This isn't public." He growls again and she giggles again.

"She's done something to Hiei!!" Yusuke pointed a finger at Rena accusingly.

"That's not Hiei!!!" Kuwabara slammed his fist into his palm. "It's a fake!!"

"Who are you guys and what have you done to Rena and Hiei?? No one is powerful enough to kidnap her that I know of! And are you a mimic? Did you take Hiei?" Koenma rushed the words from being so nervous and scared.

"I assure you, Koenma. I am who you see."

"Hn. Baka."

The rest sweatdrop as Kurama chuckles. "Don't worry. They're who they are."

"Are you sure they're in character?"

"For you no, for me yes."

"Okay, spill it Kurama. How long have you and Hiei known her?" Koenma questioned.

"Approximately a week."

"A week?!?!? That's it?!" The other three shouted in surprise. Kurama nods his head.

"Anyway, on with the mission. There seems to be a disturbance on Makai. Powers are flunctuating dangerously. Many youkai have died due to changes in the enviornment caused by it. I want you to find the cause of it and take it out. Many youkai who would normally be humble are now agressive and dangerous due to the weird power flow. The power is made up of energy and magic. We have no idea where it's origination is at all, so you're on your own. However if Rena is on your team, you should be able to do this within several months. Take note that although she is on this mission, she also has other missions from my father. They all nod except Hiei and Rena.

Someone knocks on the door. "Come in."

"Hihi! I see everyone has met already!" Botan steps through the door in her usual cheery mood. She facefaults at the sight of Rena ruffling Hiei's hair and twirling a piece of Kurama's hair around her finger as well and they just let her do so without complaint. Except Hiei growled a little and that's it.She promptly fainted on the spot.

"BOTAN!!" the group gasped as Hiei and Rena sweatdrop.

"I guess she couldn't take it," Kuwabara wonders aloud.

Koenma clears his throat. "Ahem. The one who just fainted is Botan. She's the Reikai Tantei's assistant. She's also a spirit guide. You'll meet Genkai and the girls afterwards."

By this time, Rena has stopped playing with the two and she just shrugged. "Will do." She had returned to her normal cold self. "I'll see you two around." She waves to Kurama and Hiei. She nods to the rest and disappears into thin air along with her fox.

"Where'd she go??"

"Hn. Stupid oaf. She teleported."

"How?? and don't call me that, you shrimp!"

"Baka. It's one of her powers."

"That doesn't make me feel any better," Yusuke sighs. "Where'd she go though?"

"Hm. Let's see. She should be outside waiting for us," Kurama stated.

"She is."

"How do you two know?" Yusuke scratches his head. "She never told us."

"Yeah, how DO you know?"

"She told them. She has the power of telepathy," Koenma informed them.

"Ooooohhh I get it!!" The two goofballs awed in understanding.

Botan awakens to the shouting and covers her ears. "Quiet down!"

They shut up.

"Was I seeing things? Or did I really see that?" They nod. Hiei and Kurama seemed slightly embarassed, but Hiei more so, so he looked the other way and 'hn'ed, trying to keep whatever dignity he has left.

"She said she will leave first and meet us at Yusuke's house in fifteen minutes," Hiei and Kurama said simultaneously. The others looked at them with slightly shocked expressions.

"Aheh..we didn't do that on purpose," Kurama laughs nervously.

"Why is she leavin' first?" Kuwabara asked.

"I do not know," the kitsune answers. "However, we best hurry."

"Hn. Making her wait is not a good idea."

"Yeah, good idea. C'mon Kuwabara, Botan."

"HAI!" The two replied.

The group has arrived at Yusuke's house where Keiko, Shizuru, and Yukina were at.

"Welcome back, minna-san!" The sweet koorime smiles and greets.

"Yo. Why'd it take so long, Kazu?"

"Met the new person. She's a girl. A mean one too. She's like as cold as ice man! But she's so nice to-" Before he could finish, a tingling sensation went up and down his spine making him shiver.

"Talking behind someone's back isn't nice. And it isn't safe for you when it's me you're talking about," A voice whispered. It was eerily cold and chill. Everyone turned around towards the direction the voice was coming from. Nobody was there.

"Looking for me?" it whispered right into Kurama and Hiei's ears.

"YAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!" The fox and koorime jumped about three feet into the air. The others jump away in surprise and stare at the odd group in the middle of them. Rena was there in her youkai-human form with one arm around the kitsune's shoulder and the other arm around the fire demon's. They calmed down slightly and relaxed with her arms still around them.

"Why aren't you two moving away from her?"

"mewl!" They looked down and saw the fox growling at Yusuke. She seemed to take offense from his question directed at her mistress.

"It's alright dear Miko," She immediately relaxed and jumped onto her left shoulder, sitting on it. She let go of the two and stood up straight.

"These are the girls I was to meet?"

Kurama proceeds to introduce the girls. "Ah, right. Rena-chan, the blue haired girl is Yukina. I'm sure you know that now." She nods and eyes Hiei through the corner of her eyes. He seemed to notice since he looked away.

"Hello, nice to meet you, Rena-san."

"Nice to meet you too," the demoness smiles.

"She's Shizuru-san, Kuwabara-kun's onee-san."

"Yo," She waves. Rena inclines her head once.

"The last one is Keiko. She's Yusuke's girlfriend."

At this, she raised a brow, but made no comment. Again, she only nodded. The girls looked at each other and shrugged, not knowing what to say or do anymore. Her silence was nerve wrecking and it made them nervous even if they were just sitting there and with so many people too.

"It's not safe to talk here or plan anything out."

"Why not head to your place?" The fire demon suggested.

"Good idea," Kurama agreed.

"Hey hey! We need to get Genkai-baa-san here!" Yusuke reminded.

"I know. Rena-san, would you mind going and getting Master Genkai here?"

Rena raises a brow in amusement. "Hmn." With that, she was gone.

She reappeared a minute later with a startled Genkai. "Who are you?? How-" She takes a look around her. Confused, she looks to Kurama as if asking for an explaination. He smiles and explains the situation.

"You're her?" The demoness nods.

"My deepest apologies." Genkai gets on one knee and bows her head. "It's an honor to meet you and work with you on this mission, Rena-sama. Please inform me if you need anything."

"That is quite alright. No need to bow. We are not in public, Reikai, Makai, nor are we in the presence of Koenma-chan or Enma-san. You may call me Rena. No need to add -sama if we are here on Ningen-kai."

"Hai, Rena-san." She gets up and dusts herself off in a professional manner as if she's done this many times.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE??" Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Shizuru exclaimed.

"Why'd you bow down to Rena-san, Master Genkai?" Kurama asked of her.

"Hn. I have no idea why you did such a thing either."

"It's because she's of higher rank. She and her brother are right below Enma-sama in Reikai. Koenma is right below them."

"SHE IS?!?" everyone practically yelled out from shock. Kurama and Hiei were wide-eyed. Yukina had her hand over her mouth. Shizuru dropped her cigarette. Botan knew already, so no reaction. Keiko was stunned. Kuwabara's eyes were bugged out and his jaw was hanging agape. Yusuke's mouth was opening and closing, however no sounds were coming out. Rena seemed bored and sat by the window staring out into the sky, watching the setting sun. She turns back to face the still stunned group. "Shall we go?"

"Go whe-" Before, Kuwabara could finish his question, the group has vanished into thin air.
