Living my life in a office,

Stamping papers day and night,

All the interesting things out there

I always miss those beautiful sights!

Stamping, stamping, always stamping,

Yet I keep on, for it is my job.

My life is this, it seems, nothing else,

My childhood has been the victim of this stamping's rob.

Thank you. *sits down*

Black Eagle: Um...didn't really make sense, but cool!

At 10:00, they piled into Kurama's car. Hiei sat up front, Kurama was driving (much to Yusuke's protest), and Kuwabara and a grumpy Yusuke sat in the back.

"Are we there yet?" Yusuke yawned.

"Yusuke-kun, we just started." Kurama said exasperatedly.

"…"

"So Hiei, do you think you're up to this fight?" Kurama asked in a whisper.

"You don't need to whisper, Kurama. The two bakas are back there listening to something called an `MP3' player." Hiei said.

Kurama sweatdropped. "Ah…yes." Then he said in a normal tone, "I mean…she is strong. Hiei, I don't want you to get hurt…"

"You should know better. The Black Vixen never hurts. She kills."

At the pained expression on Kurama's face, Hiei's hand sought Kurama's and squeezed. "Gomen nasai." He muttered with genuine concern.

Kurama smiled. "No need to apologize. I'm probably worrying too much-WHAT IN INARI'S NAME?!" he slammed on the brakes. Good thing that no other cars were around (wow, first the beach and now the road-this is a huge coincidence!), because a very haggled-looking Botan was standing in the middle of the road, bathed in a streetlight.

Hiei stuck his head out the window. "Hn." he informed the ferrygirl dryly.

"Oh, I'm so sorry you guys! Koenma just told me something new, and I had to come here and tell you! You're all going to win tonight!"

They all blinked and said, "Huh?"

She sighed. "Koenma just told us this-sorry if we made you a bit scared. He told me and George that the Black Vixen can't kill you! The mark on her forehead prevents it!"

They all blinked again. "Huh?"

She groaned. "It's known as the Hikitomeru Shisei (2). About a year ago, Koenma installed a tattoo with the letters BV on her forehead. She didn't think much of it first; I must say that she seemed a bit distressed over the circumstances that moment and that's the only reason he was able to-" The girl realized she was off the subject. "ANYway…she can't kill; because the instant she has a murderous thought and tries to carry it out, the tattoo glows with white-hot, melted silver; literally, white-hot, melted silver. The pain is so great that her body can't move, and she has no choice but to stop. Koenma controls it all with his pacifier. Pretty neat, huh?"

"Geez. White-hot, melted silver." Kuwabara muttered.

"What?"

"Even for a felon, that seems…I dunno…cruel. Especially since she's a girl…"

Botan sighed. "If you believe that she can't stand pain, save this, let me tell you: She once stabbed a knife through her own stomach and tore upwards in order to throw her enemies off-guard."

Kuwabara stared. "Woah…"

"And as for the tattoo, it's only reserved for the worst of demons. In fact, if I remember correctly, it has only been used on one other person. Isn't that right, Kurama?" Botan said.

The others gaped at him. "Kurama…you…?" Yusuke said in disbelief.

Kurama lifted a finger to his forehead, brushing aside the silken locks. "Yes…YK." He said softly. "Youko Kurama."

"Woah Kurama, I had no idea." Kuwabara said.

"It was my fault, really. I was careless, and allowed the Spirit World guards to sneak up on me. Botan is right; however, no one who hasn't actually felt the pain can possibly imagine it. It's like being eaten inside-out, ripped apart with knives, set on fire…all in one. It is cruel. But necessary, I'm afraid."

Yusuke whistled. "Well THAT sucks."

"Well, I'm sorry to keep you all waiting. You'd better get to the site." Botan said cheerily, leaping on her oar. "I just thought I'd fill you all in. Sayonara!" she soared up and out of their sight.

"Wait-! Ah, forget it. So Kurama, you obviously don't have the scar now. What happened?"

"Koenma removed it when I agreed to help out you guys."

"But I never saw it when I had to capture you."

Kurama laughed. "You can thank my mom's make-up for that. The flesh-coloured one."

Yusuke laughed too. "I guess mothers do come in handy." He looked at his watch. "10:30. We'd better get going." They all piled back into the car.

Kuwabara turned on the radio and began singing. "DON'T WANNA THINK ABOUT YOU, THINK ABOUT ME, DON'T WANNA FIGURE THIS OUT-ow!"

Yusuke punched him. "Idiot. I hate that song! Let me change the station-ah!" he began singing now. "IT'S THE REMIX TO IGNITION, HOT AND FRESH FROM THE KITCHEN! MAMA ROLLING THAT BODY GOT EVERY MAN IN HERE WISHING! SIPPING ON COKE AND RUM, I'M LIKE SO WHAT I'M DRUNK! IT'S THE FREAKIN' WEEKEND, BABY I'M UP FOR HAVING SOME FUN!"

"No way, dude! That song sucks!"

While Yusuke and Kuwabara fought over the radio, Kurama stared at the road ahead. "Do you still feel re-assured, Hiei?"

Hiei looked at Kurama. "You never know. But fox-" his face softened. "Be careful." He shot a glance at the back, then darted up to kiss Kurama. "If we do this right, none of us will be hurt."

Kurama smiled. "Since when have you become analytical?"

Hiei considered. "Since never. That's why you're gonna figure out a plan."

Kurama sweatdropped. "Ah….right."

"AHA!" Yusuke and Kuwabara both said. They had settled on a song. Blaring music filled the car.

"Because…THESE CHICKS DON'T EVEN KNOW THE NAME OF MY BAND! BUT THEY'RE ALL ON ME LIKE THEY WANNA HOLD HANDS! `CUZ ONCE I BLOW THEY KNOW THAT I'LL BE THE MAN! ALL BECAUSE I'M THE LEAD SINGER OF MY BAND!" The Spirit Detective and Kuwabara sang off-key.

Now it was Hiei's turn to sweatdrop. "Hn. Bakas."

They reached the Site. Kuwabara and Yusuke fell out of the car. "YAY FOR EMINEM!" they shouted. Kurama slid gracefully out of the car, and Hiei leapt out. They looked at the Site.

A large stone pentagon was in the middle of the clearing. Spaces for the five artifacts were at each point. In the middle of the square was a space for the crystal.

Yusuke took charge. "Okay team." He said, the humor gone, a glint in his eye. "Kurama and Hiei fight really well together, and so do I and Kuwabara. Kurama, you guys go over there, and I and Kuwabara will go over there." Kurama and Hiei nodded and walked over "there".

They settled in a tree. Kurama looked at his rose watch. "It's 11:15. Now we wait."

_____________________________________________________________

At 11:45, a rustling in the bushes startled them. Kurama jerked. A slim shadow stepped from the foliage. The moon shone on her.

Her appearance was said before, but now colours could be seen. The robe was silver, her hair was black with grey ears. Her tail was also black with a white tip. Small whiskers were on her face. Her eyes were amber. She carried a bag.

Leaping into the square, she cast her eyes around nervously, ears twitching. Everyone in the trees held their breath. She apparently sensed none of them, and bent over, starting to place the artifacts.

"NOW!" Yusuke cried.

Four shapes leapt from the tree. They all landed and faced the Vixen. She snarled, baring fangs and unsheathing her nails. "Who are you?"

"We're the Reikai Tantei. Koenma sent us." Yusuke said, looking at her forehead. It was starting to glow.

"Well, I hope you're ready for a fight!" she said, leaping forward. Suddenly, the tattoo on her forehead burst out with a silver glow, throwing her back into a tree. A loud SLAM echoed through the forest as her back cracked. Her face, however, showed no pain.

Kuwabara moved in with his Rei-ken. He swung it towards her; she flung it aside with a wall of ice energy. The wall hit him and froze his hands.

"K'so!" he swore, moving away. Yusuke darted in.

"Rei Gun!" he shouted, a burst of energy flying from his index finger. The Youko managed to leap away. Her forehead still glowed. She did not scream, but they could all see the pain she was in. She reached a hand for her sword, but her hand froze. She could not move it.

Hiei appeared behind Yusuke, drawing his sword. He slammed it into the ground where the youko's head had been a few seconds before.

"K'so…" he muttered, looking around for her.

He saw her as Kurama flung his Rose Whip, wrapping it around her body, the needle-sharp thorns drawing beads of blood. She struggled to get free, finally bursting it apart. Charred Rose Whip pieces littered the ground.

She knew that now, if she couldn't fight the pain, the only way you could fight was if she meditated on one thought, and one thought only. Don't kill them…

She operated on this idea, holding it close in her mind, shoving away thoughts of killing. The scar's white-hot intensity cooled, and she smiled, showing fangs. "Now…"

With one attack she had knocked out both Kuwabara and Yusuke. They slammed into the ground, eyes closed. She then pivoted and hit Hiei. He was not knocked out, however, but merely stunned.

"Hiei! Yusuke! Kuwabara!" Kurama shouted. "But you can't…" his voice trailed off, looking at the girl in amazement.

She cocked her head at him. "I didn't kill them." She said almost regretfully. Then her hand was out, dashing towards Kurama with a speed even greater than Hiei's.

Kurama knew it was coming, but he couldn't dodge it. The hand, sharp nails first, plunged into his stomach. He screamed in pain, falling to one knee as the girl withdrew her bloody hand.

"Kurama!" Hiei yelled, the scream knocking him out of his stupor. He cursed himself for not being there to help him. He appeared behind the girl, sword out. She spun around and blocked his sword. Sparks flew. She shoved the blade aside and sliced her own into Hiei's shoulder. He stumbled back, hand clutching the wound. Damn it…

Ice appeared in her hand. "Buriza-do!" (Blizzard) she yelled, and the razor sharp shards bit into Kurama's skin. Blood splattered everywhere. He limped to the side suddenly, his Rose Whip appearing again. She smiled. "Finally you're putting up a fight." Suddenly, her scar started to glow again. "No!" she concentrated again on the thought of not killing them. The pain settled into a slow, dull ache. She shook it aside. That she could handle.

The Rose Whip screamed towards her. She had noticed it too late, with her pre-occupation with the tattoo. It hit her shoulder, making her stumble back. She smiled, though.

"You forget, Kurama. I am a Psychic." Suddenly, the whip flung back towards him.

Kurama's eyes widened. "Wha--?!" he didn't finish, because the Whip had bound him to a tree. He gritted his teeth in pain as the thorns cut into his skin. "But-how-"

"I am a Fifth Ward Spellcaster. It is a simple matter for me to manipulate your manipulated plants." She moved in, temporarily forgetting Hiei, and rested the tip of her sword on the hollow at the base of Kurama's neck. She pushed it in slightly. "And this is how the great Youko Kurama…died." Her scar glowed again, and she winced, then laughed. "I still have power to kill you before the pain gets too bad." She pressed it in more, reveling in his gasps of pain as he tried to breathe. "So good-bye."

Suddenly, Hiei's sword struck her from the back. She swiveled around, eyes narrowed. "Oh yes. I forgot you were here."

"You'd better not do that next time. Oh wait, there won't BE a next time, because I'm going to kill you now!" Hiei yelled, moving his sword in to hit her again. She nimbly dodged it and used the Buriza-do technique on him. He couldn't dodge all of it, and blood flew in several places.

"Hiei!" Kurama yelled, straining at the Rose Whip. He couldn't manipulate it to get it off of him, because the girl's Spirit Energy still encased it. He cursed and went back to watching the battle.

Hiei couldn't catch her, even with his superior speed. She kept leaping away from him. Finally she tired of this. Hiei's whole body was bleeding from several attacks, as well as the redhead. She stood as Hiei fell to his knees, breathing hard.

"You know what they say. `It takes more energy to swing and miss than to swing and hit.'" The girl quoted. She picked up the artifacts and walked into the wood, disappearing.

"No…wait…" Hiei said. "I'm not…done…" he fell to the ground.

The whip around Kurama fell and dissipated. He ran to Hiei. "Hiei…" he murmured. He picked up the small fire demon, almost falling as his weakened arms tried to support his lover. He stumbled blindly into the forest, running until he could no more. He fell to his knees in another clearing, where the moonlight shone on them, illuminating in silvery light the blood on both of their bodies. "Hiei…wake up…" Kurama begged, laying the body on the ground. After what seemed like an eternity, Hiei stirred.

"Hiei! Oh thank Inari!" Kurama said wearily.

"Fox…you all right...?" Hiei said in a whispered tone.

"Yes." Kurama lied. "I'd better tend to your wounds, Hiei."

"Same here…" the fire demon started to sit up, but Kurama pushed him back down-gently.

"Hiei, you must lie down." Kurama said firmly. He carefully worked on opening Hiei's shirt, unwinding the scarf and discarding it. Hiei shivered in the cold.

"Here-I'll do yours too-lie down here next to me." Kurama obeyed, and Hiei vanquished the buttons, slipping off Kurama's shirt.

"No fair." Kurama mock-pouted. "I only got to take off your scarf."

Hiei smiled. "Your injuries seem worse. I'd better take care of you before you take care of me." He sat up and moved closer to Kurama.

Kurama shivered as well when Hiei turned him over on his back. A scrutinizing eye took in Kurama's wounds-as well as other things. "Hn. We need to stop the blood flow first." Hiei announced.

"How are you gonna do that? Our clothes are bloodstained as well, and we have no-ah!" Kurama was cut off by a gasp as Hiei leaned in, running his tongue over the blood. He licked it up, eyes closed, tongue trailing around.

"Your blood is unique, fox." Hiei murmured. When all the blood was gone, he surveyed Kurama's heaving chest. "I don't know if I'm done yet…"

Kurama also had his eyes closed. Each time Hiei's tongue had run across his skin, a shuddering wave of pleasure coursed through his veins. "I don't know if you are either, itooshi…"

Hiei took this as an acceptance. "You're right. I'm not." He bent in again, licking Kurama's chest. He curved along with his tongue, pressing into the indentation of every rib as he reached it. He took his time, slowly, slowly, making his way up to the pectoral.

He ran his tongue over the groove here too, then moved upwards to the hollow of Kurama's neck, which had blood there too. Hiei washed it away, then, eyes mischievous, wormed his tongue as far as it would reach into the skin. Kurama gasped, throwing his head up. Hiei worked his way downwards now, along Kurama's collarbone, and finally to his nipple.

He traced around the ring of soft flesh with his tongue, enjoying every minute of this, yet still making it slow. Kurama's hands snaked up and intertwined themselves in Hiei's hair, gripping it tightly. He moaned softly as Hiei's tongue suddenly darted out to wet the tip of the nipple, then back to the outside. Kurama lay there tensed up…waiting…his body aching for Hiei's touch.

He suddenly gasped and arched his chest up as Hiei closed his teeth around the nipple. Hiei, eyes closed once more, gently moved the flesh back and forth between his front and bottom teeth. Kurama moaned again, arching his chest higher. Hiei moved to the other nipple with his mouth, managing to twist his head to gaze over Kurama's chest. He marveled at the beauty of his fox's body, marvelling at how this awesome creature had consented to share it all with him.

Hiei suddenly blinked and looked down. His shirt was off too. "Kurama…when'd you do that-?"

Kurama smiled. "Thief." He said in a "duh" tone. Hiei smiled back, a laugh playing at his lips. Needing something to do at the moment, he pressed his lips against Kurama's, breathing in everything about his fox. Kurama returned the kiss, parting Hiei's lips with his tongue. Hiei moaned into Kurama's mouth.

They lay there. Well, Kurama lay, Hiei was sitting next to him, head bent over his lover's chest. Hiei couldn't contain himself any longer. He reached his hand down to Kurama's pants, fiddling with the red sash that wound around them.

He needed more of this…and obviously so did Kurama. The evidence was right there, pressed against his legs. Hiei felt a throbbing down in…lower regions of his own body. He fiddled with the sash still, a slight scowl appearing in his eyes. He finally found out how to get it off…when…

"AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!" a scream pierced the still night air. The two lovers froze, eyes moving fearfully to the edge of the clearing.

There…hand to mouth, face horrified…was Botan.
