Nxy turned to get a drink of water before the next song sounded. It would be the last that she would sing tonight. She tried not to let her dissappointment show, she could have sworn that something was going to happen tonight. The feeling was still there, but since nothing had happened so far, she doubted it would on the last song. She sensed the door open, and four strangers walk in. All of them had strong energy (Yes even Kuwabara in this flic, poor guy always gets picked on, and I know that I'm going to do it to, so I'll at least make him strong) 'Great, more demons to worry about, and the fact that these ones are strong isn't reassuring' She cast a glance towards the door. She gasped softly, two of them were human. The other two she could tell were demons. Her stomach fluttered when she saw the shorter one. Something about him triggered something in her mind, but she couldn't place it. She tried not to dwell on it, in a few more seconds she would have to sing her last song, the one her mom used to sing to her. She glanced at the group once more. Three of them were attractive, the fourth....well with a face like that he probably had a good personality. The starting notes for the next song sounded. She drew in a breathe and began her song.

The group looked around as they walked in. Immediatly they all looked towards the stage. On it stood a short girl with black hair, under the bright light it seemed to have purple highlights. Kuwabara and Yusuke started to drool. When Hiei looked at the stage, he froze. The girl looked so familiar. He couldn't really remember where he had seen her, but he let it go, being that there were more demanding things to do then stare at some girl. "That must be her" Kurama whispered. Hiei just nodded. He glanced around the room, most of the demons in here were lower class and would be easy to take care of. He suspected that the owner would provide some challenge. He could sense at least two other demons in the room. He decided that one of them would give the baka a run for his money and the other Yusuke could handle. He turned his attention to the song that the girl on stage was about to sing. 'Why does she seem so familiar?' ran through his head when he looked at the stage. When her voice rang out over the crowd, immediatly all activity froze and everyone was mesmerized by her voice. (It's not spirit energy, she's just that good)

~Song~(I don't own this song either, and its in the language that everyone in the flick speaks)

Theres a hero
If you look inside your heart
You dont have to be afraid
Of what you are
Theres an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know
Will melt away

And then a hero comes along
with the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
so when you feel like hope is gone
look inside you and be strong
then you'll finally see the truth
that a hero lies in you...

Its a long road
when you face the world alone
no one reaches out a hand
for you to hold you can find love
if you search within yourself
and the emptiness you felt
will disappear…

And then a hero
comes along with the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
and you know you can survive
so when you feel like hope is gone
look inside you and be strong
and you'll finally see the truth
that a hero lies in you, ohhh...

Lord knows
dreams are hard to follow
so don't let anyone
tear them away
hold on there will be tomorrow
in time you'll find the way…

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
look inside you and be strong
and you'll finally see the truth
that a hero lies in you...

"Yep there's no way that that is not her" Yusuke said "and I'm glad she's hot, this makes the mission so much more interesting!"
"What about Keiko?" inquired Kuwabara (yes he has more sense then a flea in this fic) with a quirked eyebrow
"What she doesn't know can't hurt me, literally."
"Well what makes you so sure she'll chose you when she could have me, the Great Kazuma Kuwabara!"
"HA! That's a laugh! Your so ugly you'd make Ray Charles flench!" (hehe Larry the Cable Guy said that, I love that cd thinga-ma-jogger, he's hilarious! oh and I don't own him or it either-ew-)
"Take that back!"
"Make me!" And at that the two started fighting.
Kurama sighed and shoke his head, some people never learn. He glanced over at Hiei and was taken aback when he saw his short friend still staring at the girl, he looked up and the girl was staring at Hiei, her own face just as unreadable, well not completely, shock was written all over her face. His face was unreadable as always, but behind his eyes he seemed to be struggling with something in his own head. Kurama wondered briefly if it was somehow connected with the strange dream his friend mentioned having. Suddenly he snapped out of his and glanced up at the tall redhead. His eyes went back to their usual distant look and he seemed to have forgotten the moment. Kurama put it to the back of his mind to contemplate later. It was then that the group noticed that the whole bar had gone silent. They all looked up to have the whole place staring at them. Well all except one serving girl with white hair that had black irregular stripes in it. She seemed to have a large coat and was making her way towards the stage. They shrugged it off and turned back to the gangle (I love that word! even if it's not real) of demons staring at them. One stood up and walked closer to them. "Yea, that's them all right, the winners of the Dark Tournament!" Every demon in the room seemed to be sizing them up, failing to notice the movement of a certain singer and serving girl, who had quickly ducked behind the stage, and she emerged a few minutes later wearing what looked like a huge trenchcoat over black capri sweatpants and an black wifebeater.(It's just a name, and as much as I hate it, I don't know what else to call it) They could still see the shackle on her leg, being only extremely high tempatures could get it off, unless you had the key. (Oh yea, Boss is a fire demon and he didn't tell anyone what kind of shackle it was)

Then the crowd parted slightly, and a huge demon waddled forth. The way the others gave way to him the gang could tell that he was probably the owner. Kurama sighed again, this would not end well, he could feel it in the pit of his stomach.

<Nyx>(her P.O.V.)((Starting when the group entered))

As soon as the group entered and everyones attention was on them, Mika slipped up to me and we ducked behind the stage. Quickly I changed out of that cursed dress, and put on my own behind the curtain. It felt so good to be back in clothes that covered me. I tried not to show it, but I was shaken. The shorter one in the group, I had seen him somewhere, but no matter how much I chased it around my head, as soon as I got close, it slipped right away to another part of my head. When our gazes locked, I could see in his eyes that he was going through the same chase I was mentally. Mika jarred me out of my thoughts with a tap on the shoulder. "How are we going to escape with the shackle on your leg?" I shook my head and looked down. I swore, the only way to break the cursed thing would be to get a fire demon to melt it. I told Mika as much and her eyes widened. "Isn't one that walked in a fire demon? I heard one demon claim they were the ones that won the dark tournament, maybe they will help!" I must have looked doubtful because Mika told me to slip out the door, the shackle allowed me to go outside, just not over the fence that went around the place. I think that's where the wards started, secretly I was kind of glad Boss foiled my flying out the window escape plan. I would have hit that barrier and dropped like a stone, then I would have been in worse shape then I was now. I blocked out those thoughts and focused on slipping towards the door while Mika slowly made her way to the boys. I was greatful that all these back water hicks were so amazed at the 'almighty Urameshi(sp?) team' I felt through my pockets and was reassured to find my lucky uno cards there. (I LOVE that game, I carry it around in my purse since I get bored easily, its the special spider man edition with the spider sense card, its pimp, k ill shut up now) I quietly slipped out the door and waited, I hoped that Boss would be so bamboozled he wouldn't notice that I hadn't gone back up to my room. I got out my cards and started to shuffle them quietly, waiting for Mika to come with our key out of here.

<YYH> (Hiei's P.O.V.)

Finally I broke my gaze away from that onna and looked around. All the demons in the room were staring at us, and with my jagan I saw it was wonder. I looked for the girl, and saw her emerge behind the stage/curtain. She was dressed different. The girl that was with her started to make her way over to us. "How about we go get a table" Kurama said with a glance around. I told him telepathically that I saw where the girl went and I would follow her. When we sat down some of the demons came over, no doubt to challenge their strength against ours, it had become annoyingly predictable since the tournament. I slipped away, while telling Kurama to take any fights out the front way, since I had seen the girl slip out the back. I silently followed her trail, my mind buzzing trying to remember where I had seen her, in my carelessness I failed to notice the energy that was following me.
