I'll try to add a little more romance, but bear with me if it sucks, I'll try to move the story along more, but ideas are elusive creatures. Thanks for opinions, I'll try to make this story better. And add in more dialouge but I'm not the world's best conversationlist so bear with me.
OK I must rant, I hate it when ppl in stories just up and think that their friends have deserted them w/o proof. Or the only proof is what the BAD GUY has shown them, honestly, if they kidnapped you, would you believe them if they said everyone was happier w/o you? If they honestly had the best interest in mind, they wouldn't put them in a nasty cell.

When Nyx woke up she didn't know what had happened at first, then it all came back. Her wings, her parents, and her kiss. She groaned and closed her eyes, this would make things complicating. She was about to get up when she sensed something heading straight her way. She quickly jumped up and looked around. She was by the pond that had been in her dream when everything seemed to snowball from. She picked up her blades that had been laying next to her for some reason and got into a defensive stance. What came through the trees she was not ready for. Mika came through, bearing some strange new staff, said only the word "Come" and began attacking her. Nyx had enough sense to dodge.
"What are you doing?!" Mika didn't seem to hear her, she just kept on her attack. Nyx was on the defense and couldn't get a shot in edgewise. Mika didn't look different, her eyes weren't even glazed or out of focus like mind control. Nyx didn't get it. After about 10 min and not getting anywhere Mika jumped back and flipped her staff over. Nyx noticed the voodoo skull before she felt her mind being ripped from her head. Mika was chanting something in a language she didn't recognize, which was odd in itself.
She didn't have time to dwell, the pain was too intense. She tried to focus but couldn't. At the last straw she let out her scream. It barely registered, but Mika did flinch. The brief milisecond of relief was enough to catch Nyx's attention. She put more energy into her scream and added a few notes of the Mika's song that was laced with part of her's through their bond. Slowly but surely the pain began to decrease until it was a mild discomfort. She began changing the song to one of deep slumber until Mika was asleep.
"What the hell is going on?" Her only answer was the wind. Nyx took her wings out and took off into the air. She didn't even let herself enjoy the feeling of flying in the urgency to find out what was going on. She flew to the temple and landed, drawing in her wings. She was tackled from behind. She quickly rolled over and clubbed whoever it was with the blunt end of one of her blades and jumped up. It was Kuwabara and he looked like he had recently been in a fight. He said one word, like Mika, only his was "Save" He summoned his sword and charged.
Not wanting to fight her friend she dodged, but was caught off-guard when he slashed her in the leg. Nyx reacted without thinking and slashed back at him, only barely remembering to turn her blade so his head wasn't sliced in half. When Kuwabara was on the ground she stood still in confusion. She slowly began making her way towards the temple.
Cautiously (sp?) she made her way inside. She checked the living room but no one was there, then moved on to the kitchen. Yukina was busy at the stove and she moved carefully into the room. Surely Yukina would not attack her, right? Well she was wrong. Nyx accidently bumped a chair and it made a scraping sound. She looked down and when she looked back up a scalding pot of boiling water was making its way to her head. She sang the first thing that came to her mind and the pot when flying back in the direction it had come. Yukina put up a shield (if she couldn't before, she can now)
Yukina, like Mika and Kuwabara only said a word "Them" before she continued her attack. The room became colder and she threw knives at her apparently former friend. Since she was not used to combat it was a matter of which words to string together before she was out cold, asleep on the floor where she had slumped after Nyx's song. 'What is going on? I was gone for what, 2 days and it's completely upside down!' She didn't have much time to ponder because she had began to sneeze rapidly. It was Kurama.
The word he siad was "If" before he made his rose whip. Nyx used both her blades to stop the blows, they were coming so fast. She backed Kurama out of the temple, not wanting to damage it too much. That turned out to not be such a great idea. Nature was Kurama's element and they happened to be in the center of as much nature as you could want. Kurama sent his energy into the ground around them, making the grass grow to obnoxious lengths and begin cutting at Nyx. Her blades became sythes, hacking away at the grass as though it were wheat.
For every cut she made, more grass seemed to take its place. To top it off Kurama was still attacking her. Not knowing how long she would last, she panted out a song of warm nights, soft rain, and calmness. Once the plants were listening to her she incorporated a red head who came to cut the grass with a metal machine that made terrible roaring noises and sliced defenseless plants up. The grass immediatly turned on Kurama and tied him down. Since he was not expecting it he was easily over-powered. Once close enough Nyx knocked him out with her blade.
She turned around only to be blasted into a tree by a large blue ball of energy. She groaned as she sat up. 'What is this, attack Nyx and be an asshole day?' Yusuke said only one word before he contined his attack. "You" 'This is getting ridiculous' Wanting to end it, Nyx got out her wings and shot into the direct way of the sun. It had worked before so she figured it would work again. It did. When Yusuke looked up he became blinded and in his moment of squinting Nyx was a blur. She came up behind him and knocked him at the base of his skull, rendering him unconscious.
'Great, this only leaves Genkai or Hiei, I wonder who will attack me next....' Since she had no idea how she got back to the temple in the first place, she decided to go back to the place where she woke up and look for clues. When she reached the clearing she went over and sat on the rock by the pond to meditate. She was interrupted when Genkai stumbled into the clearing. Nyx immediatly jumped up and was on her guard. 'Great it's Genkai' But she seemed not to notice her as she collasped. Nyx sheathed her blades and rushed to her side.
"Genkai speak to me!" She was unresponsive so she put her head onto the pillow she made of her trench coat that she had found in the clearing when she came back and softly called some water over to her and using a surgeons care gave her some water until she had drank a her fill. Stemming the soft flow she softly tapped her cheek. Her eyes opened a bit ands she looked relieved to see her. "....wanted me to give....you a.....message..they couldn't...control...my mind.." Her eyes closed again.
Now she was just confused, not only was Genkai injured but she was speaking in riddles. Gently slapping her cheek again she tried to wake her "What is the message?" She thought it best to deal with the 'normal' part of Genkai's words before trying to fathom what she ment by the mind control thing. "...can..." "Great that makes even more sense" she mumbled to herself.
She didn't want to move her for fear of hurting Genkai more so she quietly sang to her songs of the wholeness of flesh and healing absentmindly while she thought about the weirdness of the day. Slowly it all clicked together in her head. 'Come save them if you can! That's what it is! What the heck does that mean?!' Genkai stirring broke her from her thoughts. When she opened her eyes she met her stare with one of her own.
"You okay?" Genkai looked confused. "What are you talking about, of course I'm okay, why wouldn't I be?" She sighed in annoyance, 'She was just badly injured, and she STILL has backsass? Lot of thanks I get!' "What happened to you anyway?" Genkai sat up to think.
"I was outside when I heard a noise out here and I came to investigate. I was saw your body and was on my way over when I was attacked. They took me away and one tried to over power my mind but I proved too strong for them and fought my way out. The last thing I remember was coming to this clearing and seeing you again, then passing out."
"So you don't remember anything you said to me?" "No so they must have had some hold on my mind unaware to me...What did I say?" "Tonight everyone attacked me, and gave me a message, you did too and I think I have it all figured out...and their right, it's time I did go save them..." "Nyx, your speaking in circles, what are you talking about? Who attacked and who gave you a message?" She sighed "Well, everyone attacked me except Hiei..."
"Wait you mean that somehow the finned clan was who attacked me, and managed to control everyone else in the temple to attack you and give you a message just so you would go and rescue your clan? Why would they WANT you to try and rescue them? Let's head back to the temple and get the others, they need to know if they are going to help, and at very least the spell must be broken."
"Well if you are back to normal I think they will be too. I have a feeling that the only purpose for them to be controled was to deliver the message, and now that I have it they should be okay."
"Do you have any idea how they were able to control them? I thought they lived in the ocean, how would they be able to get us on mainland?"
Nyx was slightly stumped. Suddenly it came to her "The pond! My father said that the Finned Sirens have special portals that allow them to see through every water source, I bet some they can even travel through some, if not all. How old is this place?"
Genkai looked thoughtfull "Honestly, I don't really know, I have never seen it before you and Mika came here, but it does have an...interesting aura around it, like it is more than it seems to be...." The old woman trailed off.
"I bet they used either this or a nearby river to get here, my money is on this pond, I wonder if it could be used as a portal back to them...." Suddenly Nyx stopped short "What is it?" Nyx didn't seem to hear Genkai so she shook her slightly and tried her other name. "Kali, snap out! What is it?" Nyx shook her head, as if shaking something only she could feel away from her.
"Genkai this is going to sound weird, but I think I know how I can find out what happened here, I just have to sing to the trees." Genkai just gave her a knowing look, hiding the fact she was pleased the girls true powers were finally emerging. After gathering the right thoughts and words in her head Nyx began to sing. It was a song like no one had ever heard before. The world seemed to stop and listen to each note, shaped perfectly. The words were unfamiliar to her, but she somehow knew them, more like a feeling than anything.
The plant life around them started to softly radiate green light, and it sounded as if other 'voices' joined the song. Images of everything from new growth to dying life, each fire and storm weathered throughout the trees time was a soft feathering touch in Genkai's mind until Nyx changed the tone of the song. She sang of misdoings and the light around the plants became harsher, they only wanted to grow and someone had disturbed them with an unbalence of peace. Their 'voices' formed a picture in Nyx's and Genkai's head of the attackers, what they had done and said, and where they had gone too. They seemed to sink into the water, taking something bulky with them. Since the plants didn't have true eyes the images weren't very clear.
Nyx ended the song with thanks and let the notes softly die away. Even as her voice died, that of the forest went on, getting softer and softer until it faded into the sound that it normally was, and no one would be the wiser of what had just taken place there.
Nyx opened her eyes to see tears rolling down Genkai's face. "Genkai, are you crying?" Nyx was freaked out, the old woman was like a grandma to her, well a grandma that forced her into extremely intense training that left her so drained it was all she could do to crawl to bed. Never once had she ever come close to crying, Yusuke even told Nyx in confidence that Genkai didn't have tear ducts because she wasn't human. Nyx had asked how he knew this and his reply was no human was as harsh as that, and it wasn't possible.
"You are truly the heir to the Siren power Nyx. You have the power to unit and settle the old differences. You can save your clan" "Umm Genkai? Not that I don't appricaite the confidence in me, I do, it's just the whole nice thing and crying thing is really freaking me out." Genkai chuckled and dried her eyes. "Very well, let's go get the idiots and the rest, you will need them to help you, if only for support." As Genkai turned and started to walk away, she didn't see the flash of realization come into Nyx's eyes, followed closely by anger, when she realized what had been tugging at the back of her mind and what the people from the vision had taken with them: Hiei. That's why he didn't attack her, they had him. Now she was all the more deteremined, they had stolen too much from her already and now her efforts would be doubled. A whisper of caution went throught her head and she heeded it, letting anger fade to curiousity.
'Why do they want me to come so bad? What could they want with me that is so important they would take everything to get it?' Nyx mused to herself. She sighed and set the thought aside to ponder once the others were awake. She had the whole way there to think, but a heavy forbidding gripped her, and she decided they would be doubly careful in being undetected to avoid unpleasant answers to those very questions.

I hope this wasn't too lame. Romance will come later, but the plot can not allow at this time. I might make another dream scene if it is so desired, but for now Hiei is captured and the rest only I know. Updates will come as they can but I can't promise regularity. Please be patient.
P.S. I don't take the reviewing nudgings bad, I understand that if you think the story is going in a wrong way, trying to help prod it back. Critism is good for writers, but don't start going overboard just because I don't have major problems with it. Flames will now be appriciated and I don't think I will be able to do all suggestions, but I'll try to tye them in.
