Akia: Hey, people what's up. (Something I didn't mention in the bio, Nykera does NOT like to get up early, I do.) This is my second chapter and the only person who reviewed was AnimeAmber, so I would like to thank her for that.

Nykera: She must be crazy to like a stupid story like this.

Akia: I wouldn't know, but by that one review I got from her for my last story I would have to say yes. But who knows she may have just had a lot of sugar.

Nykera: Kinda like you do everyday.

Akia: Yep

Kurama: Hello Nykera, Akia, Hiei .*kisses Nykera's hand*

Nykera: *Blushes* Uh hey Kurama

Akia: Uh okay Hiei would you please say the disclaimer?

Hiei: *Staring at Kurama and Nykera awkwardly, then looks at Akia and blushes* Uh yeah sure.

Akia: ?

Akia: Now for Sisters, chapter 2, “The Attack and Meeting Genkai”

 

LAST TIME:

`Nykera and I have never been closer' I think as I stand up and walk behind her. I notice she is lying Venus down for a nap. As I walk I hit her upside her head, hard. “What the heck did you do that for?!” she yells as she stands up, her fists clenched tightly. “ I don't know what you are talking about” I reply innocently. She starts running towards me and I take off in the opposite direction.

We sat together beneath the shade of the oak tree. We had gotten tired after 3 hours of playing cat and mouse, but I have to admit it was fun. I yawned and leaned against the tree. Sleep began to overtake me and I gave in to a dreamless sleep.

 

I am half asleep and I can hear a familiar cry. I try to think of what it could possibly be, then it hits me;

`Venus!' I jumped up and looked around. There, just 20 feet away, was a large snake demon. It stood over the baby with a menacing grin. I looked to Nykera. We had fought many demons, but this one just seemed so different.

It launched toward Venus, but I got in the way just in time to get bit on my left shoulder. I could feel the demon's poison begin to drip into the wound. I ripped myself from his grip, picking up Venus as I ran toward Nykera. We pushed the young child behind us and took our stances. This demon would be much harder to handle than usual and Venus could not protect herself well enough.

`I tried to read his mind, but I can't. He must have a really strong block.' Nykera states in my head. I only nod and try to think of a way to defeat him. My sister pulls out her rose whip and begins to run towards him, only to get blown back by a powerful force field.

I stood confused, how could this guy have put up a barrier that neither of us had sensed it. It made no sense. I snapped out of my daze and looked over.

“Nykera!” I scream. I run to her and kneel at her side. `Good', I think, `She's still breathing.' She was unconscious though, after getting hit over the head by that tree. I tell Venus to put up a barrier around her and her mother. As she does this I stand up weakly. She would just have to try to keep them both safe right now, there was no other option. A burning. pain ran up my arm. `That poison must be in effect already.' It hurts, but I don't make it obvious as I struggle to stay awake. I summon up as much energy as possible and transform into my wolf form. I charge him only to be blown back by a barrier. I would've passed out if not for the cries that came from my little niece.

I get back up and turn to my dark angel form. I fly up above him, hoping to find a weak point in his barrier. My eyes blur and I drop a little lower each minute that I stay in the air. It seemed to take hours but I finally found his weak point. I took out my staff and struck, destroying his barrier. I dropped, but quickly recovered, only to discover that the demon had disappeared.

I would've tried to follow him, but I was exhausted and my worry for Venus and my sister overtook my curiousness. I turn slowly to see Venus had passed out from overexertion.

I walk toward them, first picking up Venus and putting her on my back with her hands and legs entangled around me. My sister was next. I put her arm over Venus's back and held on the other side while my other arm held her back. I began to walk away weakly, hoping to find someone who could help us before the poison killed me. And just my luck, it started to rain.

I walk for hours and drop to my knees. The load on my back is beginning to weight more from my point of view and this poison isn't making it any easier.

I stand up once again and walk until I sense more energy. I fear it is a demon, but for some reason I don't turn back, even though I know I would not survive a run-in with another demon. As I walk I come upon the largest place I have seen. I pray silently that someone there will help us.

I walk slowly up the stairs, leaving a river of my blood behind. I finally reach the door and knock on it. An old woman answers and looks at me with wide-eyes. “I am very sorry to bother you,” I said respectfully, “But please, we were attacked and need help.” She nodded and led me in. She led me to rooms that I laid my sister and niece in.

I watched as a girl with blue hair and red eyes checked them I smiled an said my thanks to her. The older woman brought me to a room. As she checked my wounds she told me her name. “ Well thank you very much for taking care of me, Genkai. My name is Akia.” I said. “What exactly happened to you?” she said inspecting the bite that the demon had given to me. So I began to explain to her about everything that had happened. When she finished she looked up at me. “Lay down, get some sleep. When you wake up go back to that room and I will give you some food.” I smile at her, “Yes ma'am. Thank you.” She leaves the room as I lie down. It didn't take long for my to drifted off into a troubled sleep.
