I don't think I've done my disclaimer yet.. oops: It's late but… I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho, but if I did you'd never see Hiei again!!! MUHAHAHAHAHA!!

A month later
“She barely answers questions… she talks less than you, Hiei…” Kurama watched Shay from his seat on the couch of her apartment. She was occupying herself with the computer.
Hiei grunted and shrugged, “So?? She doesn't trust us… That's normal enough…”
“I don't expect her to trust us… It's just that she barely acknowledges our presence…”
“I ignore you all the time…”
“No, Hiei, even YOU aren't THAT anti-social.”
“Nannari, Baka Kitsune.”
Kurama shook his head and looked back over at Shay only to see her staring at him in that deadly calm way of hers. Kurama locked gazes with her until she looked away, back at the computer screen. Kurama shivered, she had one of the creepiest stares he had ever seen, only topped by Hiei.
“You're right I don't trust you. Do you think talking about me is going to help?” She was still staring at the computer screen.
“I'm sorry miss, I just find it unusual, is all.”
“Whatever…”
“There she goes again,” Yusuke walked out of the kitchen and joined the conversation, “Damn, Hiei, you're lucky…”
“Hn, why is that, Detective?”
“You get to live with a broad like that…”
“I don't see how that makes me lucky…”
“You're so young… You'll get it when you're older,” Yusuke patted Hiei on the head patronizingly to add to the teasing.
“Detective… Retract that hand or you'll no longer have it…”
“Sure, Hiei… Whatever you say…”
“Hn…”
Hiei rolled his eyes and looked back at Shay. She was very attractive but her eyes were dull, almost lifeless, only showing sparks of anger, sorrow, and suspicion. Sure it wasn't like he could talk much, he kept his eyes emotionless and hard, but her eyes, it was like it was natural. Hiei shrugged, who cares anyway.
Shay looked back at the group, she had felt Hiei's eyes on her and didn't like that they found her so interesting. She tried had her hardest to stay out of the spotlight ever since she landed in prison. She chuckled internally, she used to be a social butterfly, used to crave attention; but what did that get her? A broken heart and a one way ticket to prison. But, then again, what did this `personality choice' get her? Solitary confinement, beatings every day and more attention… Life sucked for her, she couldn't win if she tried.
“It's time to see the baby… Let's go…” Yusuke, the supposed leader, sighed, and a portal opened. Shay stood up and entered the portal followed by Hiei.
The Spirit World
“So how has life been, Shay,” Shay looked at the toddler prince and shoved her hands in her pockets. She shrugged nonchalantly and remained silent.
“Since, Shay is obviously healed, here's your next assignment…” He pushed a button and the picture of a man with black hair and orange eyes wearing all black, he was fairly tall and of muscular build appeared, “This is Yoshihiro Watanabe, a fire demon from North Makai. He's a hired assassin and quite the dubious character, as I'm sure Shay already knows,” he gave Shay a knowing look before continuing, “Bring him back here alive. That's all.”
“The asshole's mine, stay out of my way.” Shay growled before entering the portal that appeared to her left.
“What's her beef?”
“If Shay wishes to tell you, she will. Now go.”
Yusuke rolled his eyes and entered the portal followed by the others.
NORTH MAKAI
Shay looked around the wooded North Makai, watching for movement, as she crouched in the shadows of trees. She saw the Spirit Detectives leave the portal, and then a flash as Hiei and Kurama joined her. Kuwabara and Yusuke, confused, shouted for them to come out.
“The assholes are going to get us all killed…” Shay sighed and shook her head as lower level demons attacked the two buffoons, who fended them off easily.
“Yusuke can take care of them, don't worry.” Kurama defended.
“He won't be able to 'take care' of Yoshi. He may be strong but Yoshi's fast, sneaky and he doesn't play fair.”
Suddenly, the target appeared, “Looky here, the Spirit Detective… I wonder what you're doing here…”
Yusuke smirked and popped his knuckles; “I'm here to take you down, bastard.”
Shay stepped out of the shadows, “I told you, he's mine,” Shay took out her curved blades and dropped into a low battle stance.
“I see Koenma struck a bargain with you… traitor.” Yoshi unsheathed his own katana and struck his own stance.
“I'm no traitor compared to you…”
“I'm sorry, are you still mad about that whole prison thing?”
“Bastard…” Suddenly Shay had her blades crossed (Like scissors) at Yoshi's neck, his own blade keeping them from cutting off his head. Shay jumped back and went after him again, but he caught her wrist and disarmed her. She jumped up and kneed him in the chin, causing him to let go of her wrists. She punched him in the stomach and went after her weapons while he nursed the ache. Before she could, though, Yoshi pounced on her from behind and pinned her down.
“You haven't gotten much better, Shay…”
“Go fuck yourself, asshole.”
“I'd much rather you do it, though…”
“That's a damn shame.”
“Get off of her and come along quietly.” Yoshi felt cold steel on his neck and stood up, releasing Shay.
“I didn't need your help.” Shay stood up, rubbing her wrists and retrieved her weapons.
“Sure you didn't, Shay…”
Shay glared at Yusuke and he smirked before continuing into the portal to the Spirit World.
