It was exactly as Yusuke said. Genkai bound you both by the ankles together with a thick three foot long chain. You weren't to thrilled with having someone so close to you for two days straight. Especially when it was a pervert named Yusuke Urameshi. One thing is for sure, you weren't going to sleep or be able to breath for the next two days. One is because he is a pervert, and two you weren't allowed to take the chain off so you both weren't going to bathe for two days. Good thing you already took a shower.

Day One

You begrudgingly followed Yusuke to the arcade. Genkai had put some kind of charm on the chain so that it could not be seen, though it still didn't help… it was even making you want to commit suicide when all the noise practically made your eardrums bleed. It wasn't till Yusuke proposed you two competed at the singing competition did you protest, though he didn't listen… not that anyone ever did. So now you were both on the stand, and Yusuke couldn't choose a song so a random one started to play. You both looked at the little box with the words.

Loud cheers and applause were heard, though you didn't care. You just wanted to get out. You wanted to go back to before you met Yusuke and his friends. Everything seemed a lot simpler… painful, but simple. You knew it wasn't their fault it was part of your past, but it was getting seemingly harder to convince yourself that your past was a pile of ashes like your house.

Day Two

It was excruciatingly boring the second day, and not even Boton who was full of idea could think of something to do. It seemed odd to you though, that everyone kept stealing glances at, especially Kurama. You couldn't start to wonder if maybe you did something wrong and if so, what? You were jeered out of your thought stream when Genkai walked up.

"I'll let you two go, if you tell me why you ran away" she said sternly.

So that was it huh? She did this to see if you crashed and told her your reason. Well you still weren't going to tell her. You most likely in fact would rather be chained to Kuwabara then tell her what she wanted to know. Did she think you were a fool? In fact you were pretty sure they all were thinking that. Well they were all just a bunch of bastards. They truly had some nerve to think so lowly of you. Your head was tilted down, and you were remaining quiet all the while glaring at the old women. She clearly noted the defiance and multiple stress marks appeared.

"That it. Girl you get out of my temple and I don't ever want you to come back!"

She undid the chain, and all the occupants of the room except Hiei, yourself, and Genkai stared wide-eyed at said old lady. Though you more then happily obliged, got up and walked through the door. Though you swore you saw her eyes flash and before you reached outside, she grabbed your wrist and pulled you back.

"I was lying girl. You don't have anywhere to go. It was on the news that your house burned down and everyone died except you. So where do you expect to go? And exactly how are you still alive?"

Everyone was staring at you expectantly and you glowered at them all while glaring at Genkai in such a way that if looks could kill, she would've died 4000+ over.

"I lit the house on fire, and I DO have a place to live. Don't think you know everything about me by just the way I act or what you see on the news old hag" you spat at her.

"So tell me why you burnt it down?"

"I don't have to tell you that"

"Tell me now girl or suffer"

"You plan to make me suffer? YOU plan to make ME suffer? Now that's something I could actually laugh at. I really doubt that Genkai"

"Hiei…"

"Hn…"

"Just don't kill her"

You turned your glare up towards Hiei who was drawing his katana. The others could only watch stunned and helplessly at the current situation. You watched as Hiei advanced and when he was right in front of you he sent a storm of kicks and punches that sent you flying through the wall and to collide painfully against a tree. He used his speed and continued to send blows to all places on your body. And they weren't the type of blows that merciful people give, It was the type that people use to kill… and by now you had a least 4 broken ribs, a broken collar bone, a fractured shoulder blade, some random things impaled into your flesh.

He kicked you one last time and sent you hurdling into another tree. Genkai stepped up next to him, a smirk on her face knowing she had proven you wrong, though everyone's eyes widened at what happened next. You casually stood up with the occasional wince, and walked towards them as if nothing happened. Your clothes were ripped and bloody. Your lip was bleeding you could hear some broken bones rattling inside your torso. You had black and blues and cuts running along your legs and arms. And one particularly large gash that was cut along your midriff and was oozing blood like there was no tomorrow. You simple walked up to her face devoid of emotion.

"The only way for you to make me suffer Genkai, is by allowing me to breath. But of course I've already been suffering for seventeen years, so you don't have to worry about it"

You spat some blood off to the side and walked past her and the rest of the gang.
