Anybody Seen My Baby?
Chapter Six
~*Saturday - Afternoon*~
"Hey man, how ya feeling?"
Hiei pushed the heels of his palms against his eye lids, groaning as he slowly sat up. Yusuke sat at the foot of the bed and handed the little Demon a glass of water, and two small pills.
"What the hell is that."
"They're called Advil. It'll help your headache."
"Hn. Not likely."
"Does it feel like you've been out drinking all night?"
Hiei cracked open one eye in his irritation, not needing to answer.
"Then yes, it'll help."
He sighed and took the medication from Yusuke, popping both into his mouth, and took a long swallow of water. He winced as the little pills went down his throat, then relaxed against the pillows once again.
"How long has it been."
"Six days."
"So it's-"
"Saturday. Yea."
The tone of Yusuke's voice caused Hiei to sit up again, cringing when the headache decided to strike a louder chord in his brain. He tried to catch Yusuke's eyes with his own, but found it impossible.
"What happened."
Yusuke sighed and stood, walking towards the door.
"I asked you a question!"
"Don't worry man. I'm just gonna go get Kyla. She'll be able to explain it better than I could." he slipped out the door, Hiei's protest caught in his mouth and lingered on his tongue. Kyla? Who the Hell was Kyla? Sighing, he flopped back down on the bed, one arm covering his eyes as he tried to block out the light. A small smirk turned the corner of his mouth as he thought on how he had tried to do the very same thing, not too long ago, and then his Fox had -
Hiei shot back upright. Where was his Fox? If something happened to him, wouldn't he... So why wasn't he...
The door opened again, Yusuke walking in, followed by a young woman with brown hair. Hiei assumed that this was Kyla, and he glared at her. She stopped in her tracks, matching his gaze with a soft look of apology, and she folded her hands in front of her.
"Hiei. This is Kyla. Kyla -"
"I know of him, Yusuke. Thank you. Please, leave us."
Yusuke nodded once, then quietly slipped out the way he came.
Kyla walked forward tentatively, as though afraid any sudden movement would cause Hiei to go into a rampage. In all truths, she was not far off, the little Fire Demon tense and aggravated, burning for answers, and afraid to hear them. She took a seat at the end of the bed near his feet, and turned her sad eyes toward him.
"It is a pleasure to formally meet you at last, Hiei. I have heard much about you."
"Have you now."
"Yes. Laria speaks very highly of you. She has grown quite fond of you, you know."
Hiei sniffed, crossing his arms.
"Can the false flattery and get to the point."
Kyla gave a small chuckle, shaking her head.
"You are exactly as she said you were. So be it, then."
The tone of her voice, her body language, and the tears welling at the corners of her pretty brown eyes twisted something inside the small Fire Demon, and he drew his knees up to his chin. He had a terrible feeling that he would need that defensive, self-comforting feeling soon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, Kurama.... why?
.........Why not?
Because what you had, it was -
No!.... no. That was nothing. He said so himself.
But -
I said no. Leave me, please...
Kurama -
Please... just go away....
Kurama opened his eyes slowly, groaning as he stretched his limbs out, then settled himself back into the gentle arms of Argaus, the warmth of his chest pressing against his back. He smiled as he thought on last night, a pleasant ache in his back side bringing heated memories and sweet pain. They had made love - No... never again - fucked for hours long last night, well past sunrise, their burning bodies cooled by the morning dew and cool breezes. He could feel the deep scratches he received being irritated by the grass beneath him, the throbbing sting of the bite marks in his shoulders and neck; he could still taste the blood of his new lover on his tongue. It made his body burn anew, and he turned in those arms, his hand wandering down Argaus' side to his hip. He extended his tongue, flitting the pointed tip against a peaked nipple, and couldn't help but grin when the one he tormented groaned and rolled to his back, one hand going to fist into his bangs.
Kurama quickly slid over Argaus' body, smoothing his palms down his tensed stomach muscles as his lips flitted over his skin, tickling at his ribs. The other sucked in a gasp, body arching into the touches, and his eyes slowly fluttered open.
"K-Kurama? What are you-"
"Shhh," one finger went to Argaus' lips, "I want to taste you, lover."
Argaus trembled, catching his lower lip between his teeth as he closed his eyes again. Slowly, he nodded his head, and Kurama's devilish grin widened. Troublesome lips, teeth, and tongue traveled a tortuous path down, dipping into the fine little lines of solid muscle and skin, lapping up the remnants of the early morning condensation with greedy licks. He traced petite little circles around Argaus' navel, making the Demon jump and twitch, his clawed hands going to Kurama's hair as his feet skimmed up his sides.
"Sh-shit! Stop!" he gasped, fingers curling in the silky, scarlet locks. Kurama chuckled, angling his head so as to nibble at the skin around the little indent in his belly, making him choke through his laughter.
"Ku-Kurama! You g-gotta stop!"
Kurama refused, pulling Argaus' hands from his hair to pin them at his sides, and dipped his tongue fully into his belly button, making him squeal and squirm. He wailed, head snapping from side to side, no longer able to form coherent words as he desperately tried to gain his breath back between the belts of peeling laughter. It only pushed Kurama to continue, until a small, faint spark ignited in his memory, of how he used to do this to Hiei when-
No!
Kurama immediately ceased, giving the space below Argaus' navel an apologetic kiss, before continuing on his previous mission.
He heaved, hands going back to Kurama's hair, kneading the scalp like a kitten as he felt that searing hot breath travel downwards, wafting over his quickly hardening member. He rested his head against the ground, sighing blissfully when Kurama shifted once more, and gave the head a single, discreet lick.
Kurama sucked on his tongue, staring at Argaus' cock in curiosity. It was a different flavor, musky and piquant, coating the walls of his mouth in its own uniqueness. He decided, with a small smile, that he liked it very, very much. Without further thought, his mouth closed over the head and carefully slipped down.
Argaus gasped, leaning upon his elbows as he watched that hair of red fire bobbing up and down over his shaft, the suction intense. Kurama curled his hands over his thighs, keeping Argaus' legs open wide for him as he happily sucked, licked, and forced the rock hard length down his throat, swallowing and growling, adding to the already severe stimuli.
"K-Kurama... Oh God!"
Slowly, the Fox slid Argaus' penis from his mouth, tongue traveling down the underside, saliva dribbling downward to coat his sack. Abruptly, Kurama took one ball into his mouth, lathing it in his spit and heat.
"P-please... More!" Argaus gasped, hands fisting in the softness of Kurama's hair, forcing his face further into himself. The Fox chuckled, and traveled further down, tongue tip tracing over the tense skin between his sack and anus, teasing in its touches, making his new lover whine and writhe. That dripping muscle immediately pressed into his puckered hole, wriggling its way inside, making Argaus moan with a loll of his head.
After a few tense, blissful moments, Kurama made his way back up to Argaus' now weeping shaft, taking it into his mouth once more, applying a fierce suction, his eyes locking with those above him, speaking to him through looks and touch.
Come for me, Argaus. Let me have it.
"Kuraaama..."
Yes... that's it....
"Oooooh----"
Give it to me...
Kurama closed his eyes in sweet satisfaction as he felt the first spurts of Argaus' orgasm hit his tongue. He pulled back, sucking and flitting the tip against his slit as his seed shot out with terrible force. Argaus wailed, his fingers pulling harshly at Kurama's hair in his abandoned passion, toes curling into the grass.
All too soon for both Demons, Argaus' orgasm reached its end, the last remnants weeping out slowly. Kurama smiled as he pulled away, and began licking up the stray droplets, making Argaus whimper pathetically. He pulled Kurama up by his shoulders, and immediately sealed their lips in a kiss, drawing in his own flavor, the concentrated taste burning his taste buds and making his body crave all over again. Kurama felt the trembling change in him, and he pulled away with a snicker.
"Ya wanna mess around?" he asked with a playful wiggle of his brows. Argaus agreed whole heartedly, not needing the words as he captured Kurama's mouth again and rolled the Fox onto his back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Lies."
Kyla sighed, shaking her head slowly. Hiei stared at her, waiting for her to take it all back, to tell him that this was just a joke - be it a poor one at that. But she never did. All she could do was stare back at him with those large, sad eyes, shimmering with so much emotion, so much empathy that it cut him to the core.
"My Fox is not running around the Makai with some... some... some sick, demented freak!" he shouted, standing to pace around the room in his fury. She closed her eyes, two crystalline tear drops falling from her lashes as her lips trembled.
"I'm sorry, Hiei, but he... he is no longer your Fox."
Hiei halted and spun around to face her.
"What did you say."
"As of midnight, last night, he has forsaken everything he had come to cherish in this life. His family, himself... most of all, you."
He glared at her, the power of his anger making the very air shake.
"Take that back."
Kyla snapped her eyes open, standing as well, her fists clenching at her sides.
"I wish I could, Hiei, but it is the truth. I am sorry to say, that because of you and all that you have held within, Kurama has chosen him over you."
"You're lying."
"Argaus took Kurama last night, at midnight, on the anniversary of your second year together, and made him his own. He went willingly, with open arms."
"LIAR!"
The room shook, books and pictures falling from the walls. Kyla steeled herself against Hiei's rise of power, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Because of your Jagan he could not imprison you within one of his Realms, but he did see into your very soul, Hiei. He has used that against Kurama, showing him outright that which he could not see before. You have no one - no one - to blame, but yourself."
"Liar..." Hiei dropped to his knees, his resolve shattering, trying so desperately to not believe the words, but he knew, deep within himself, that they were true.
"You only get so many chances to hold onto your happiness, Hiei, and you never took it. Not once."
Hiei closed his eyes and bowed his head, forcing himself to remain steady, to not lose himself. Kyla sighed once again, and knelt next to him.
"If I could take this all back, I would. But sometimes one needs to learn their lessons the hard way. I'm just sorry that this was one of the lessons you were to be taught in this life." With that, she stood and strode out of the room, leaving Hiei alone to his pain.
She shut the door soundly, and leaned against it, her entire body trembling from physical exertion. She panted heavily, one hand going to press over her heart.
"How is he?"
Kyla glanced up at Kuwabara, trying to smile.
"He is hurt, naturally."
"Is it true? I mean... everything that you told him about Kurama?"
"I'm afraid so."
"Well," he scratched the back of his head, a little flustered, "Did you really have to say all that mean stuff to him? I mean, just the fact that Kurama cheated on him was bad enough, ya know?"
She bowed her head again, sliding down the door until she landed on the floor.
"It was only the truth. And it was necessary. I really do wish I could take it back, that it wasn't genuine. Yes, Kurama has betrayed him, but Hiei betrayed him first."
"I can't believe that. Hiei is completely crazy about Kurama. You should have seen those two together!"
Kyla chuckled and looked back up to him.
"That may be, Kuwabara, but even if you think you know your partner loves you, don't you sometimes need to hear the words? Don't you need the verbal comfort, and to see the expressions in their eyes?"
Kuwabara stared at her, knowing he couldn't argue that point. She was right, and somehow, she was right by telling Hiei the truth, harsh though it was. He stared down at her, wanting so very much to tell her that she was wrong, that what she did was wrong, but his mouth refused to form the words. He felt terrible anger swell inside, and could not determine whether or not it was directed towards her, Kurama, or Hiei. He made a mental note to tell Yukina how much he loved her, the next chance he got.
Hiei sat, cross-legged on the floor, his upper body rocking back and forth, breath coming in short pants. Kyla's words rang over and over in his head, bouncing about in his skull like a storm. He couldn't believe it; wouldn't believe it. Kurama would never do something like that. Not his Fox.
He is no longer your Fox.
He shut his eyes tightly, grimacing against the stab he felt in his soul. What if it was true? What if Kurama had, on the anniversary of their second year, abandoned everything they had built together, for someone else? What if he had willingly found pleasure in someone else's arms, right in front of 'him'? The mere thought made his stomach turn, and he forced back the bile coating his mouth. But what made him the sickest, was the very real fact that he had done all those horrible things that had convinced Kurama to do it in the first place.. He had withheld his feelings, his very self from Kurama since the beginning. Not once did he tell him that he cared, that he loved him... that he couldn't imagine being without him. It never seemed to bother Kurama, though... Hiei had always assumed that he didn't need to say the stupid words; Kurama was supposed to already know. Then again, the Fox was very clever at hiding his feelings, especially his pain.
You're pain....
Hiei let out a choked sound, and he sunk to the floor, curling up on his side, arms going about himself in a self-hold. Now that he really thought about it, there was so much pain in his lover's eyes when he really cared to look. But he hadn't even paid attention to it, chalked it up to idiotic Human characteristics. How could he have been so stupid, so blind? He had already almost lost his Fox once before; hadn't he learned anything from that time? From any time when either of them were put into danger? Even when he was shown the very real truth about his feelings, when he could even admit them to himself, he still would not speak of them to the one who needed to hear it the most.
Kyla was right. You only had so many chances to hold onto your happiness, and he hadn't taken a single one of them. He deserved this sort of biting retribution. He deserved to endure this agony. But, the pain he was feeling now was nothing compared to the sorrow he had put Kurama, his Fox, his lover, his very life through.
"No more..." he whispered to the emptiness around him, "No more."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So what do you think?"
Kyla glanced up from her cooling mug of tea at Yusuke, finding him staring at her with great hope in his eyes, and some other emotion she could barely define. Perhaps it was pity.
"I think the rest is up to Hiei."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"He needs to decide whether or not to just let Kurama go. Despite the circumstances, we have not completely lost him to Argaus. There is still some small part of the old Kurama lingering within. But the only one who could bring it forward would be that broken Fire Demon."
Yusuke sighed, sliding his flattened palms up and down his cheeks, rubbing at his eyes with his fingertips. He had heard what Kyla had said to Hiei, and like Kuwabara, found it almost too hard to believe. He had not known the Kurama from before, yet could not even imagine him as anything other than what he had become. Was it really within the Kitsune to do something so spiteful, so horrible? But mostly, was it in Hiei to fight to get him back? After this, he wasn't so certain.
"What about Laria?"
"She can take care of herself. Argaus is not physically strong, so he would have some difficulty getting her to the point where he could still her spirit enough to capture her. That's why-"
"That's why he has my Fox."
Kyla and Yusuke turned at the harsh voice, finding Hiei standing in the doorway to the kitchen, hands stuffed in his pockets and face set in stone. Both felt their chests tighten when they saw the welled tears in his eyes.
"I've told you, Hiei, he is not-"
"He is my Fox. He will always be my Fox, even if I have to pound him into the ground to convince him of it."
Kyla gripped her tea cup, knuckles turning as white as the porcelain.
"Abuse is not the way to win a lover back, Rauko."
Hiei started at the name, eyes going wide for a moment, then narrowing.
"Don't you dare call me that. I hated it when she called me that."
Kyla tried not to let the sardonic grin spread across her face.
"And I know beating on him won't do any good. However, I do know how to get him back." He strode into the kitchen, taking a seat as he stared at the table top.
"Oh really now? Care to enlighten us, Rau-er...Hiei?"
He smirked and leant against the table top on his elbows, "Can you make contact with the Dream Weaver?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Argaus grinned as he sat himself up, turning to look at the once again slumbering Fox. He had fucked him long and hard, exhausting his frail Human body to his satisfaction. He let his eyes linger over the nude form, evidence of his sexual abuse staining his pale skin in the form of bites, scratches, and bruises in the shape of his fingertips. Hickies dotted all over his neck and part way down his pectorals, some going so far as to the end of his shoulder. He felt a giddy excitement rush through his belly as he stared at Kurama. It was such a wonderful thing to find someone who had a sexual drive almost equal to his own. He wondered for a moment how long it would take before he grew tired of the new addition to his collection.
Still grinning, he stood, and made his way a little ways down the river side, intending on bathing himself. He was willing to let the Fox rest for one more night, but tomorrow they really had to be on their way. It was becoming far too risky to stay in one place for so long. At any moment, Kurama's former team members could discover the truth and come after him. Not that it would honestly make any difference - Kurama was now his - but he wasn't quite sure if he had the energy or the patience to deal with a physical confrontation with them. From what he had heard, both Human boys were rather powerful, and with both of them working together they could quite possibly take Kurama down. Hardly any of the Demons in his collection came close to Kurama's power, let alone Yusuke and Kuwabara's. Yes, this was becoming much too dangerous.
Not wanting to let the dark thoughts spoil his good mood, Argaus splashed into the water, diving under the surface, then floated up and onto his back, relaxing into the cool, rhythmic swells.
Had he been back at the campsite, his fear of disaster would have grown tenfold.
Kurama lay on his back, one hand curled up by his turned head, his lips gently brushing the fingertips as he mumbled incoherently in his sleep. Normally burning, jade eyes flicked back and forth at a startling rate, his eye lashes fluttering in REM cycle. And one word, muffled by his hand, a soft sound to be carried away with the warm summer winds, escaped.
"....Hiei..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hiei opened his eyes to confront an all too familiar darkness, a feeling he had managed to suppress from his memory for two years; he tried not to snarl.
Oh, don't look so crabby, Rauko.
He narrowed his eyes, glaring into the black.
If you keep making that face, it's going to freeze that way, you know.
"Quit with the blasted chit-chat. Can you get me in, or not?"
Well, it's nice to see you too.
"Dream Weaver-"
Alright, alright! Goodness, you'd think you'd let me have a little bit of fun. After all, it's not every day that I get to play matchmaker all over again.
He scoffed and crossed his arms, turning his head sharply away.
What... You think you two would have come together on your own?
"Yes."
Hiei felt more than heard the exasperated sigh.
"What!?"
You are as thick as usual, I see. You really need to learn to get over yourself, my dear little Demon. Now then, about those clothes...
"What about them."
They just aren't going to work for what I have planned. Now stay still, and shut up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kurama gasped as he shot straight up, the cool linen of his bed sheets pooling about his hips as his eyes darted back and forth. The harsh sound of rapidly falling rain met his ears, and he glanced at the window in time to see a bolt of lightning streak against the sky, illuminating the outside world for a brief moment. It left a haze of white around his vision.
Kurama slipped his legs out from under the covers, wondering what in the world was going on. He was home, but this was.... the cold wood of his bedroom floor didn't even register in his mind, and he realized at last that he was dreaming. He snarled at what was, obviously, some leftovers of his damnable Human existence, still trying to keep control of him.
The lightning flashed again, and he turned sharply towards it, his eyes going wide at what he saw. Kurama ran over to the window, pressing his palms against the glass as he stared outside.
Yes... there was definitely something out there.... The lightning stroked down a third time, and he finally caught a clear, short glimpse of it.
Someone was standing outside in the rain, right underneath the tree in the yard. But who was it? He couldn't make out the face, only a momentary flash of the clothing; the person was dressed all in white. The world around sparked with light once more, and Kurama gasped when he saw that the person had moved back, was walking away in fact, the oddity of it seeming to beckon to him, as if saying: Follow. Follow and you shall receive your answers.
Kurama's mind reeled, trying to remember something, anything, that had happened that could be applied to this strange vision. What did dreaming about thunderstorms mean? And what about strange people in the dark, dressed all in white? But nothing came to him, and he could not resist the strange pull he felt, the odd desire to indeed go out into the violent storm, and chase this ghost down.
The dream shifted, and suddenly Kurama was bolting out his front door in nothing but a pair of loose, draw string pajama bottoms, the soft cotton immediately clinging to his hips and thighs, soaking through in seconds. His hair plastered against his forehead and shoulders as he ran, peering through the dark so as to hunt down this apparition. He could not stop himself; the need was compulsive, the desire overwhelming.
He did not know how far he ran, or why he did not seem out of breath when he finally stopped. All he knew was that he had somehow, some way, reached his destination, and standing a few feet away, back turned to him, was his specter.
The dark was too thick, too condensed to clearly make the form out. All he could see was the faint glow of white against a canvas of deep black. He stared at it, rain dripping down into his opened eyes, though he could not bring himself to blink it away, somehow afraid that if he did so, this stranger would disappear completely.
Suddenly, the figure turned, hardly noticeable through the rain and darkness, until the Gods sent down another bolt of lightning, and the face was amazingly clear. Kurama sucked in a gasp.
"Hiei?"
The light faded, leaving the Fire Demon's sharp face and round, burning eyes imprinted into the Fox's vision.
"Hello, Kurama."
Kurama felt his heart pinch when he heard those words over the driving rain. Hiei's voice sounded so distant, so sad... It was almost impossible to associate that sound with him at all. Then, Kurama smiled, crossing his arms as he sneered.
"This is just a dream. Some subconscious desire to remain-"
"Yes, Kurama, this is a dream, but it has nothing to do with your subconscious. This is about me."
"Oh really? Still thinking only of yourself, Hiei?" Kurama growled, lowering his head as he narrowed his eyes. He could hear the sigh coming from his ex-lover, even see the whiteness of his clothes shift as his shoulders slumped. He wondered, briefly, why he was wearing white at all. The lightning streaked again, and Kurama took his chance to take in the image of him fully, his blood burning at the site.
Hiei was indeed dressed in all white, the shirt almost a clear mesh, sleeveless. His pants looked to be of the same style he normally wore, only they weren't tucked in at the ankles. His feet were bare. Around one of his biceps was a thin strip of white ribbon, wrapped in a crisscrossed pattern, going from the crook of his elbow to the bottom of his shoulder. Held in his other hand, finger and thumb rubbing against it, was a second length of ribbon, and Kurama nearly choked, the symbolism not at all lost on him.
"Do you know where we are, Kurama?"
"N-no..."
"You should. This is where we first made love."
As if on cue, the Heavens crashed, and the world went bright, Kurama finally taking a good look at his surroundings. His heart shattered when he saw it.
They were standing in the middle of a grassy field, a lone cherry tree no more than three feet behind Hiei. His eyes darted down to the ground, to the exact spot where they had first taken each other, gave of themselves fully, without shame or second thoughts. At least, he had thought it had been that way. His eyes darted back up to Hiei, his bottom lip trembling as he tried to still his shaking hands.
"Why did you bring me here."
Hiei didn't answer him for a moment, only continued to stare at him, still fingering at the second piece of ribbon held loosely in his hand.
"Do you remember, Kurama, how I refused to make love with you, even after everything had happened with the Dream Weaver?"
Kurama stuttered, not at all understanding what he was getting at. What did that matter? What did anything matter, anymore?
"I had wanted to take you so very much, Kurama. It turned me inside out. I could hardly breathe without aching to touch you, to look into your eyes as you gave yourself to me. It was killing me. But I... I wanted the first time to be something special, memorable, something to carry with you for the rest of our lives together. I never told you this Kurama, but I knew about your fantasy."
"M-my...my-"
"You had dreamed of me often, of coupling together in this field, beneath the shade of the cherry tree."
Kurama choked, his hands sliding up his arms as he held himself, the rain suddenly feeling harsh and cold.
"It took me forever to find this place, but it was worth the time spent and the self denial. I wanted to make at least one of your dreams come true, Kurama. It was the least I could do, after you made me realize my own."
Kurama snarled, snapping his head back up, telling himself that the warmth dripping down his cheeks was nothing but the rain.
"Why, Hiei? What the Hell is the point in all of this? I know what I really meant to you. I know that you don't love me."
"That is not at all true, Kurama."
"Bullshit! He showed me! You admitted it!"
Hiei sighed again, his head bowing briefly.
"You told me once... that holding your lover is an expression of emotion that you could not give words to. I'll confess, I did not want to say the words to you. I was afraid of what might happen. I was afraid that perhaps, one day, you would find yourself someone better, someone who could make you happier than I ever could. I was afraid that if I gave you my heart, that I would never get it back."
"It's too late for this, Hiei. I don't know how you are doing this, but you can stop. Stop this all, right now." Kurama hissed between his teeth, fists clenched at his sides.
Hiei looked up again, his face calm and passive.
"I won't stop, Kurama. I'll never stop; not while I love you."
Thunder rolled in the distance, and Kurama felt the shock waves thrum through his very soul.
"Rain represents life to the Kitsune. White is the absence of life, symbolizing the emptiness of one's soul while alone. This place is where we first found life."
"Stop... Please..." The words were merely a whimper.
Hiei stepped up to Kurama, his hands reaching out to grasp at his arms. He wanted to move away, to fight his reaching arms off, but lacked the will to do so. His tears, thick and heavy, were streaming down his cheeks as he watched the white clad Demon come to him. With gentle hands, Hiei took one of Kurama's arms, and very carefully laced the ribbon over his bicep. He then turned adoring eyes up to him, those same, kind hands grasping his own.
"You Kitsune say that it rains during a union ceremony because the Gods are weeping for us, that their tears are a blessing," one hand reached up, his thumb rubbing tender circles on Kurama's cheek, "So tell me, Kurama... Do the Gods shed their tears justly?"
Kurama's eyes closed, and Hiei watched as his tears dripped from his lashes, falling straight to the ground. Kurama followed closely behind them, dropping to his knees, burying his face into his upturned hands. Hiei knelt before him, gently pulling him into his embrace, and the Fox wept openly into his chest. Careful hands petted his wet hair down, and he pressed his cheek against him, slowly rocking them both.
"This is... this isn't real... is it?" Kurama stuttered, his voice thick with tears, heart in his throat. Hiei sighed and pulled Kurama back, pushing him by the shoulders. He coaxed the Fox's face upwards, his fingertips at his chin, and he stared into those wounded eyes. So much pain, when he really cared to look....
"I will not force you to stay with me, Kurama, no matter how much I want to. But I refuse to let him destroy us, like this. I won't allow it. Not while life continues to flow through this body."
Kurama's eyes widened and his mouth opened in a gasp, seconds before Hiei's lips descended and took his own. He could not help himself as his lids closed, and gentle, seeking hands fisted into the back of Hiei's shirt, insistently tugging it from the waist band of his pants. The pull was unavoidable, the electric attraction undeniable; the need never ending. All his life, he had needed Hiei, had craved his unnatural heat, the sweetness of his touch and mouth, the feel of his skin against his own. He was his addiction, his salvation, the answer to all the agony he had felt for so long. Hiei was now a part of him, forevermore, and he could no longer deny it.
He would die in misery without him.
Kurama whimpered and moaned into the ardent kisses, as he was brought to lay on his back in the wet grass, the rain falling between the branches of the cherry tree above them. He struggled for breath, his back arched high, hips laying astride Hiei's folded lap as his warm hands spread over the expanse of his rib cage and down his sides. The dream must have shifted again, for suddenly Hiei was laying over him, his hands braced at either side of his head, now naked skin slipping against equally wet, naked skin. He stared up into pleading, red eyes, and he felt his entire being tremble.
"Kiss me, Hiei... please..."
"...Kurama..."
Lightning crashed, Kurama's sharp cry of ecstasy stolen from the air by Hiei's lips as he felt himself lanced through, his entire being filled to the point of bursting, and his soul burned by the heat and alchemic flames that could only be described in one, single word.
Hiei.

Kylyx: *snicker*
TheBoy: You've seen that movie way too many times.
SM: Yea I know. It's just so cute though. ^_^
Anywho guys, this is, again, the last chapter I have for ya! I am SO sorry.
Kylyx: Sorry about what? The fact that it's the last chapter you have right now, or the fact that you didn't put in a full lemon?
SM: Neither actually. I'm sorry that it ended up being romantic and fluffy. I hate it when that happens.....
Kylyx: *sigh* Figures. Well, at least we know that Kurama and Hiei are going to be happy again, eventually.
SM: *grins evilly* You keep telling yourself that dear....
Kylyx: *jaw drops* Oh, Jen, no.
SM: *smirk* We shall see.
Well, know what comes next? That's right! You're going to click on that pretty little button that takes you to the 'review' screen! And you're going to type up a couple pretty little sentences, offering me your opinion ^_^ Why you ask? Because you love me, and you know it would make me very, very happy if you did.
Oh, while I'm thinking about it, I have good news!! I FINALLY got off my lazy ass and got myself a job! I'm no longer a bum! Yay!
TheBoy: Some job you have, too. Mom and Dad are so proud of you.
SM: *sticks her tongue out at him* You're just jealous. After all, not everybody gets an employee discount on porno.
Kylyx: *snicker* She got herself a job at a local 'personal items' store.
TheBoy: Personal items my foot. She's working at a sex shop.
SM: *grin* I know guys, it's terrible, huh? Poor little me.... *snigger*
