Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ The Dammed and the Living Tormented ❯ Prelude/The Beginning ( Prologue )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Alrighty then... Well, this is going to be a story that I will write because I just wanna try something out, I thought it would seem interesting. Don't ask why I'm doing this but, eh, it's something I've had on my mind for a while. I'm not entirely sure how I'm gonna do this but I'm going out on a limb here. Well, all I can say is enjoy. Hopefully, it'll catch your interest.
Disclaimer: I do not own YYH, God or whatever. Just the plot and /my/ characters.
Hieiobssessor: Also, I'd like to point out that I am not totally religious but I do believe in God and Jesus (do not own them either). So... Yea... Well, that's about all I'm gonna say before I let ya go and read this fic. Later all! Review, if ya feel like it that is.
And no, I am not trying to enstate this belief in you. Do not think this will be a Christian Fic, I do not do that, as you may find out in later ones. Believe me, it will not revolve around, well, you'll see soon enough. Just don't judge the fic by this chapter.

They say there are only three worlds. The Makai (Demon World), Ningen-kai (Human World) and the Rei-kai (Spirit World). That the worlds are only connected through the portals. To say the least, they were wrong. There is more than three of them. One that even the Prince of Rei-kai knows little about, and it's connected throughout all of the worlds. Heaven. Paradise. Whatever you call it, it's there, believe it or not.
The sun shone brightly within the sky, promising no rain throughout the day. A small, gentle breeze flowed through the air. Today, the conditions for flight were excellent. That was going to be the only good part about the day. At least, for a certain Angel it would be. Many of them flew about, heading from one place to another quickly and without fault. Everyone must think that these Angels were perfect, but they weren't. Most would think that they only lived here, but they don't. Fallen Angels live amongst the humans, but those that have been corrupted, in one way or another, live with the demons. This showed that the system here was quite clear, and anyone found breaking it would be punished accordingly. Sadly, that would be what pushed one of the two damned sisters and break them apart. At least until one fateful day where they would be brought together once more.
"Shunta (Shoontah)! Shunta! We have to get to our posts! Shunta?" What seemed like a young girl flew through the air. The clouds below looked like fluffy, white pillows. Her amber irises glanced about worridly before she stopped altogether in midair. "Don't tell me she's in court again," the girl said in what seemed like a faint but soft voice that ran through the still air like silk. The girls feathery wings moved in gentle, rhythmetic motions as she headed off towards the courthouse where she knew something was up.
Other Angels passed by her without a second glance. With the curse that had been placed upon the two, who would? She gracefully landed upon the ground softly in her white slippers. Her mohagony follicles fell upon her back. From inside, she heard talk, uneasy talk, then silence. The girl drifted in as if she was a ghost, and she looked towards the front while taking a seat in the far back. As she did this, her wings folded upon her back and disappeared. She recognized many that were here. A small sigh of agitation escaped her lips once she saw the one she had been looking for sitting up front, bound by chains. It was not to keep her still, but so those in the court would not worry about her loose-cannon temper. Shintaki, the younger sister, closed her eyes and bowed her head in prayer. She was praying so that Shunta could leave this place with a small charge. It was too much to ask with this one.
"As you can see, the Lord will not be present in this case. It's sad to say, but you will be banished from this realm, Shunta, and sent to live among the beasts that you have now become. His Holyness cannot look upon your damned nature any longer," said the judge. He was somewhat frightened as he spoke, but a slight bravery was found within the fear. The small amount of bravery had vanished at a small yet angry hiss that erupted from the girls throat. "You might as well be sent to the demon realm for that statement. We'll see how long you last," she growled with a small smirk. Her pointy fangs and blood red irises complimented the fierceness in her voice. Even so, she was sentanced and thrown out of the place, the chains that bound her disappeared before she hit the ground so she could save herself from the drop. Banished, at the same time a certain demon had been. "They'll be sorry," she said in a low growl. The odd thing was, this particular Fallen Angel still had her powers over death. If she killed, there would be no way of knowing whom had done it. Not even Koenma nor his lackees of reapers. Even the Lord himself wouldn't know. To him, she had completely vanished. Only the unsolved deaths, with little to no evidence, would be the key to him knowing she was still alive. Even then, there was nothing he could do about it.
