Another chappie. Enjoy.

No, I'm not gonna rant this time.

Disclaimer: I do not own just about everything here. Only my Angel, Demon and the plot. Thank you.

The demon shook her head, calming her thoughts before reaching out and grabbing the girl---by her collar---before she toppled over the edge. "It's that or make yourself scarce," Shunta said, turning the pendant to the silver side before spreading her own wings and taking off. The Angel sighed---catching her balance once the other let her go---, keeping her eyes towards the ground. That was an odd experience. It was uplifting, but not at the same time. Voices caught her ear, her eyes turned to them as a boy and girl entered the roof top.

"What the hell is your problem? You've been avoiding me all day and you know I don't like that," the male said in a deep voice, pulling a girl over towards a dark corner by her hair. That was all the Angel could see, yet she was curious about what was about to happen. If anything, it wasn't her business so she flew upwards and headed off, even as a few gunshots rang in the deep silence. Someone may be dead or injured. What more could be done about it anyway?

The demon had stayed, knowing exactly who it was. Her red eyes trailed over the rooftop, waiting for the other to leave. She heard the door slam and raised a brow. Now who was this? No one was supposed to come upon this scene yet. "What happened here," arose a voice through the silence. No answer. "Hey, Shina, c'mon! Tell me what happened. You're starting to scare me." A female's voice by the sound of it. Maybe it was her. The demon flew down, careful to conceal herself from them. "Shina, you can't!" Now the situation was getting interesting.

She turned her head around the side of her hiding place, again being good about concealing herself from these humans. One girl stood there, hovering over a boy that was bleeding terribly, tears still running down her cheeks as her school uniform was covered in blood. The red hardly stood out from the black uniform. Her lips moved but no sound seemed to come from her lips.

Apparently the other heard and went over, wrestling the gun from her hands and throwing it off the top of the roof, but not before another gunshot was heard. The bullet lodging itself in the roof at their feet. "You can't. You have your life ahead of you to make this up. C'mon. Lets get out of here," the second girl said, placing an arm around her apparent friends shoulder.

They got out but the girl wouldn't get away. She found the gun and would turn herself in that night. That was when they found out about the boy, lying there. Immobile, his eyes closed but the rest of his face seemed contorted in horror. One shot to the middle of his chest and the other threw his head, 'blowing his brains out' you could call it. What a great way to die. Quick and painless. If she would have had her way, he would have died slowly and painfully.

"You've been a very bad boy, but you needed to pay somehow," she said to his wandering spirit. He looked over, about to retort but he vanished from her sight. She smirked before taking off once more.

=====================

The kitsune sighed. He had been a friend of hers but not a very good one. They weren't close, she secluded herself from everyone. So when she came to his home after school, bawling, he wasn't sure on what to do. She was no longer covered in blood but the scent of it was still there. "I can't believe I killed him," was what she said to him when he'd gotten her to calm down enough to speak. He looked over. "Killed who?" This was something he'd slightly expected.

"My boyfriend. Was that what my d-dream was talking about? My problems arising then being no more the next day," she asked. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying so much. The kitsune stayed silent, allowing her to speak and calm her nerves a bit. One of his hands layed on her back, gently rubbing it. "He was going to hurt me again, I know it. Right when my day was going fine he had to ruin it, like every other time," she said, her voice shaking with both anger and fear.

"He can't hurt you now," he said to her gently. The girl trusted him with talking about her problems with her boyfriend but it almost never happened. He was either busy with his work, off somewhere or surrounded when she wanted to talk with him. Currently, he was swamped with homework but he had all weekend to work on it. She nodded, the thought getting a bit more comferting every minute. He felt slightly awkward when she'd leaned against him, now still crying but not as much. "I never told you the whole thing about my misery, Shuichi and I thank you."

"Why are you thanking me," he asked softly.

"For being here. At least I know that I don't have to cope with it alone. That I can get help from someone," she said before looking up at him. His cool gaze catching her troubled one. He smiled. "I haven't been there very much but I'll try to be," he said to her. She nodded before standing, having finally gotten herself together after the several hours she'd been there. "See you, Shuichi," she said.

He nodded. "Alright. I hope things go well." She turned to look at him, staring at the boy from what he'd said. One of her rare smiles graced her lips. "You seem to know everything," she said, walking back over to him and kissing him on the cheek. "Your a good friend. Don't let anyone take advantage of that." She left to do what she set her mind to. Good friend? That was a comment he seemed to hear but not very often. At least, when she said it, it meant something.

As was said, she went and got the gun and turned herself in. Things didn't go well but with her background they were somewhat lenient(sp?) with the charges. For that, she was grateful and would finally be able to sleep well at night once more.At least she could. He was still plagued by that dream, or nightmare. Could one call it a nightmare?

It certainly kept him up at night. A yawn escaped his lips. His body kept telling him he was tired. Even so, he'd ignored it today but he couldn't any longer. He fell asleep on the couch, only to be awoke a few hours later, which felt like a few minutes, by his mother. "Mother," he asked a bit groggily and a small frown creased her lips. "You need to eat, then you can go back to sleep," she said to him in a gentle tone. "Your food is on the table, its still warm." She was worried about him but would wait until he woke up some before asking about his restless nights.

The kitsune nodded before standing and heading over to the kitchen, where the table was currently located. The kitsune sat down at the table and began to eat. Yes, he was exhausted and seemed to want to fall asleep in his food but he hadn't. He woke up more and was able to keep himself from doing that. Even while his mother walked in and sat across from him. "Shuichi, honey, what's going on?" This was asked once the fox was halfway through his dinner.

"Nothing, mother. I assure you. I'm just unable to sleep well at night," he said to her.

"Why," she questioned softly.

"A dream is keeping me up. That is all, mother," he said to her with a small smile. He'd stopped eating then, waiting to see what else she may ask him.

"Maybe if you speak of it, then it'll leave you be so you can sleep better at night," she suggested. They hadn't had much time for talk lately.

He placed the fork down onto the plate, come to think of it no one knew about the dream but he doubted it would go away because of that. The Angel of Death's warnings were very clear and she never stopped with someone until they were about to die or are dead. If anything, it was worth a try and they may get these times together a lot but, as of lately, Kurama was usually busy with catching up homework when he was home. For this, she hardly bothered him. He still had a stack of it but it could wait. It wasn't like he couldn't get it done later.

"I'm running from something. I know what but I want to take it out of the streets." His eyes looked down at the table while the dream ran through his mind as he spoke. "As soon as I reach the woods, someth-one comes out of it. Sorry, I'm having a hard time remembering it." She nodded and seemed to wait, listening. "We talk, I can't remember the exact words. Something else is going to come out of the woods but that's when I wake up. I haven't gotten any further than that since it started a few weeks ago," he said to her, looking up. He was a good actor. At least, it seemed that way. And, yes, it had started a few weeks ago today.

She seemed to have bought the small alterations he'd made to it. He was lying about it but then he wasn't. The woman seemed to nod her head once in acceptance. "Ok." He would never lie to her, right? There was something about him that said he was lying but she couldn't catch it any longer. Not unless she looked in his eyes and those seemed to hold the truth he was speaking. She stood up. "I'll let you eat," she said before leaving the kitchen and heading into the living room where she turned the tv set on to watch one of her shows.

A sigh escaped his lips, one of relief. She had made it so that he didn't have to tell her but he felt that something like that was certainly of importance but not as much as one would think. He ate the rest of what was on his plate before heading to the sink to clean his dishes. It was clear that he was worrying her a bit too much and he didn't wish to worry her so much over him. Pretty soon this whole thing would have to be resolved, for both of their sakes.

That's it for now all. I guess... xX;;
