Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ The Dammed and the Living Tormented ❯ The Day ( Chapter 4 )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Okay... Well, I'm gonna try and get this one done in a decent amount of time. Hope you like it.
Disclaimer: I do not own Yu Yu Hakusho, Angels, God or whatever else I may use. -blinks-
Well, yea... On with the chappie. I'm positive you don't like the big long flipping talking ones like me. -shrugs- -types up chapter-
One more thing, If I'm using something too much, like she. Tell me and I'll try to not use it as much. It bugs the hell outta me when I see a word too often in a book. It gets old and I'm sure everyone would say the same thing.
Thanks for putting up with this.

Her eyes lingered upon the one on top of the school while she hung in midair. The feathery wings holding her up while the other seemed to not notice her sister hanging nearby. Considering the sun was halfway across the sky by now, one could see how much the 'demon' had changed. Her skin was much darker than it had been. She wore a dark tunic with silver lining and a black longsleeved shirt and pants with silver on the end of the sleeves and the bottom of the pants.
On her feet were dark cloth-like shoes that also held (you guessed it) silver upon the top of them and at the tips. The leathery wings hanging behind her, waiting to be used once more. Her attitude is still the same as ever. The girl's eyes still held the dark crimson that she had, as well as the dark crimson at the tips of her black hair, in her other form. It hadn't suited her Angel form but it suited her demonic form very well. At least, that was what the witch had told her when she had been shifting while trying to do her job. She ended up killing more than she needed to that day.
Her eyes lifted up towards the one hovering nearby. The demon was waiting, waiting to move in for the kill. This is what she did much of the time. Wait and tell them they were going to die in their dreams. She never told them how, they would find out when that time came. She usually made herself present within weeks or months before they were to die. The young demon watched the humans get paranoid and the demons fight their way to the top before being taken down in their sleep or in a battle they had already lost.
She didn't focus on one person. Today, someone was going to die. Who was it going to be? One couldn't tell. Not even the Angel of Life as she hung in midair a moment before heading towards the other girl to try and talk her out of killing the one person that wasn't supposed to be. He was still needed in this realm. The bell rang within the school's hallways, echoing in the distance before being drowned out by the students piling out of the classrooms. They chatted amongst each other, trying to keep their voices above others. A shouting match was what it seemed to be. It was lunch time, and this was the noisiest part of the day. While many chatted around the girl that seemed to avoid attention.
She headed off into the crowd only to be lost in the bustle of students to get where they needed and what they wanted before the next bell rang for them to go to class. She sat towards the front but in a dark corner, hiding from the rest of the world. Tears fell upon the wood, even as a hand was placed upon her shoulder. She turned away from them before they spoke.
"Mind if I sit here?" The tears left her eyes as she wiped them away before looking up to see the most popular boy standing there with a small smile on his face. She shook her head yes but turned away from him as she opened her bag lunch and started to eat. The school God was sitting next to her. Great, what other torment would she endure? She just wished the world would leave her be. Another tear left her eyes. Lucky for her, no one would notice. It was odd for that to happen, even when Shuichi was concerned.
"Thank you," he said gently, taking the seat next to her. He would eat in silence, making it seem as if he hadn't noticed the tears. Her uniform, amazingly, was black instead of maroon, ((A/N: Bear with me, I know little about Japanese schools and don't have the time to look it up. If anyone would kindly fill me in about that I would be entirely grateful and in their debt.)) but she couldn't afford a new one so they allowed her to keep it. If anything, she would have kept it anyway. It hid her and she was grateful for that. Her hair was a silky black, looking nearly blue in the sunlight but it was just a trick of the eye.
There was nothing she could do about this, though. She wouldn't mind him sitting there, especially if he was going to be quiet and leave her be. That was all she wanted, was some peace and quiet for once. It was hard to get but at least someone seemed to understand. Well, he hadn't gotten much of it himself but it seemed like he would sooner rather than later. Soon death would consume him, possibly causing him to act strangely. She sighed, thinking about her dream last night. 'Tomorrow your sorrows will be over. As the new day dawns, you will be finding yourself happily departing.' Well, she wasn't dead so that seemed to not be it.
Maybe they meant the next day but this was all her dream ever said while she seemed to be standing there, getting tortured for what seemed the billionth time by someone she was scared of. Too afraid to just say no to him and get him out of her life. She stood, decidedly getting out of the lunchroom early just to wander around the school. She didn't care about getting caught but that would only end up with more abuse and she felt that she could no longer handle it.
"No, I'm not straying from the fox. You know this. Besides, what does it matter about what I'm doing? He should have taken my powers instead of letting me keep them," the demon said evenly, answering something that had been apparently asked earlier. The word 'He' was said with some malice within her voice.
"Sister, can you not see that he is meant to live? He will escape your grasp once more. There's plenty of reasons for him to be here. The Lord wanted to test his theory so that was why he told you you couldn't take his soul," the other responded in a seemingly shy but strong tone. Her eyes looked into the dark red ones before hugging the girl. "I've missed you so much. You wouldn't believe whats been going on lately," she said, as if trying to stray from the topic.
"You shouldn't be telling me this. You know its against regulations. I'm banished from Heaven and cannot return to it, let alone know about it. It's odd that he let me keep my memories," she said and sighed. Yes, every fallen angel cannot tell about this great place for they do not remember it. Memories were created for them and added to those they met or they were born into this world to start a new life. One that fit them or at least, something that would fit them best. Nothing goes anyones way, now does it? It always has these consequences that bite us in the ass later on in life. The Angel backed away with tears in her eyes, allowing her arms to fall by her side. It wasn't unusual. She was the emotional one afterall.
The demon looked away, hating to see the other cry. She was the only one to stay and she needed to stay in Heaven. She wouldn't make it out here. "You shouldn't blame this on yourself. I know you are. It's my fault I'm here but its better that its me and not you. I hate not being able to know when your coming but its for the best. I'm a demon now and I always will be," the darker one said.It seemed that her voice lightened up a bit and wasn't as harsh anymore, yet it still seemed to hold that grudging tone.
As if the other held something she wanted. Then again, don't we all want something that someone does and we do not? The Angel looked to the side. "Fine," she said, her voice seemed to be pulled together, even though she didn't look it. "He has to l-live. You can't kill him, alright," she questioned.
"We're back to that again! I already told you-" She paused. "Sister, get out of here! Now!" The demon placed the necklace back onto her sisters neck before pushing her towards the edge. The thing of it was, the pendent was turned the wrong way. Green showing up instead and her wings disappearing while she headed off over the side while the demon stood there and stared, frozen.

Dun, dun duuuuuunnnnnn, lol. I figured this was a good place to stop. Hehe. I'll post the next chappie soon. Well, I hope the length is better. I'm trying to write long ones but it doesn't work really well. -sweatdrop- Well, hope you like the cliffy. -grins- -waves-
Oh, almost forgot. For those that think Hiei was the one trying to give her the ring in the chappie before this (fyi: HE WAS NOT TRYING TO GIVE IT TO HER, HE WAS WITNESSING ANOTHER GUY DO IT!), I suggest either reading it again or telling me to rewrite it. I'll do it if I get enough people confused with it. The thing was, it made perfect sense to me but I am the one writing it.If you think somethings going on when something else is then I'll really appreciate it and I can help you out if your confused about a message I may be trying to lay over but the 'hinted' messages are for you to figure out.
I'm not supposed to help you with those but character confusion is certainly my highest petpeeve but I will correct if needbe! Maybe even rewrite the chappie so it'll make more sense, character wise. (Placements, where they are, who is talking to who, etc.) I don't mind it. Also, improvements with characters is always a plus! I'll reward you dearly for it:3
Again, thanks for dealing with my rantings,
