Chapter 4

The crowd of demons went silent. Some amazed by the mere sight, others admiring her beauty and courage being able to stand up to Yoko and draw with him.

Yoko was the first to break the silence in a demanding tone " Who are you and what have you done to the oracle? "

Restraining a chuckle Rei replied " I am the oracle, but my name is Rei not Ruyu. "

Murmurings soon could be heard throughout the place Yomi and Kuronue soon joined Yoko by his side staring at the mischievous girl who was returning their gaze with her deep purple orbs. Her eyes were actually so mesmerizing. They were only standing a few meters away form each other but Yoko could already feel her eyes drawing him in. His golden eyes dart about observing her. Something about her just made him felt inferior but he was careful not to show it.

Suddenly, Yoko said " This competition is over! Rei you are to report to my tent 5 minutes later, DO NOT be late... "

Rei nodded her head as she walked out of the arena to somewhere to recuperate.

5 minutes later... Rei was walking towards Yoko's tent with demons staring at her

At that moment, a demon shouted " You're a fucked bitch!! "

Rei's ears twitched, she was about to teach that demon a lesson when Kuronue grabbed her hand to stop her.

" What are you all looking at! Get back to work! " yelled Kuronue as he death-glared at the demon who shouted the four words

" I didn't need your help... " said the pissed off girl

" Tsk I think like wise, listen, Rei, I just wanted you to know that I enjoyed your company and I don't regret not trying to know you better... "

Rei just smiled and said " I know, Kuronue, I know... "

When they entered the tent, they could see Yoko tending to a plant with Yomi standing just a few feet away from him.

" Sooo, Rei, what do you have to say for yourself... " said Yoko calmly

" ... "

" You had me fooled for 2 weeks and a few days... Nobody had been able to fool me through their disguises in 3 days... "

" Well looks like I broke your record didn't I? "

" Yes so it would seem that way... "

" So why aren't you banishing me or something... "

" I can see you have a strong will and it has been quite a while since I've met someone whom I have yet conquer in bed... "

Rei flinch slightly before saying " Forget it kitsune, stick to your normal routine of whores... I am not something for you to toy... "

" But then where's the challenge in that... " said Yoko as he stroke the leaves of the plant

" Fuck off fox boy! " said Rei haughtily

" You know your unwillingness just seems to turn me on... " said Yoko smirking while licking his lips

Suddenly the temperature in the tent dropped drastically. Everything in the tent was shivering except for Kuronue and Yomi who was looking at the oracle strangely. The plant inside had been frozen while Yoko was the only one breathing out vapor.

" I dare you Yoko Kurama! Try me... " said Rei before she stomped out of the tent in a huff

Then the tent's temperature returned to normal.

' Oh I have every intention to do so... ' thought Yoko as he dismissed Yomi and Kuronue

Later, Kuronue found Rei up in the tree next to his tent. She had closed her eyes but was not exactly sleeping. Kuronue leaned back on the tree before saying " You know, I think you've bitten off more than you could have bargain for... "

Opening one eye, she glanced at Kuronue before saying " Tsk, but he started it... I just wanna finish it! "

Chuckling at her statement, he did not notice the girl swiped his hat away from him

" Hey give that back! " yelled Kuronue

“ Hey a perfect fit… “ said Rei grinning as she placed it on her head

“ Hmmm you two look like an arguing married couple ya know… “ replied Yomi as he approached the bat and the oracle

“ You think? I thought her eyes and hair looked a lot like mine so she should be my sister or something… “ laughed Kuronue as he snatched his hat back

“ Hello! I’m sitting right here… “ pouted Rei “ and for your information, I have wolf’s ears so I can’t be your sister, so dream on bat boy… “

“ Well, I’m dreaming now aren’t I? “ smirked Kuronue

Sweatdropping, Rei shook her before saying “ So what brings you here Yomi? “

“ Nothing much, just wanted to know why you went through all the trouble just to do that kind of crazy stunt… “ replied Yomi

Rei gave him a anime dot eyes look and said calmly “ I have my own reasons… I don’t want you guys to get hurt… “

“ Aww, I’m touched… “ laughed the bat demon as he pulled her in a knuckle sandwich

“ Hey! Cut that out! It hurts!! “ yelled the poor oracle as she struggled out of Kuronue’s grasp and landed on the ground rubbing her black wolf ears tenderly as her gray fox tail flicked about annoyingly

That’s when Yomi and Kuronue noticed her tail under cloak was not that of a wolf. It looked more like that of a fox

(A/N: Foxes tails are more bushy than a wolf)

“ Hey Rei, are you a half wolf half fox demon? “ asked Yomi as he stared at her tail then her ears

“ Perhaps… “ said Rei as she hid her tail and ears under the cloak and started to walk off

That’s when Yomi suddenly appeared in front of her nearly causing her to bump into him “ What do you mean by ‘ perhaps ‘… “

Rei let out a growl before snapping “ Long story, none of your business, now move! “

Yomi looked surprised by her sudden change of tone but moved out of the way as the oracle stomped off in a fit of rage

“ Wait Rei! Come on I’m sure Yomi didn’t mean to make you angry… “ half-yelled Kuronue as he tried to chased after her but was stopped by Yomi who shook his head

“ Let her go, she needs a break anyway… “

(A/N: I don’t know if I’ve told you readers yet but I know it seems that my OC is quite invincible but actually she has a very serious weak spot… I’ll give you some hints during the story but for now, I’m on a break and I won’t continue until I get at least 3 reviews… Yup 3 reviews, 3 nice reviews… anyway back to the point, the reason why Rei stomped off was because she did not want to tell anybody of her past but I’ll let you have a glimpse of it on the next chapter but until then, I want my 3 reviews :P )

Kuronue: That’s rather unreasonable…
