Ch.12

The doorway was there, leading to her room. Kurama actually left it open for him knowing what he'd done the last two times he came near the familiar. Should he really go into her room? What would happen when he saw her?
'This is insane,' He thought to himself,' Why the hell am I so unsure?'

He placed his hand on the metal frame, looking in. He could see the edge of the bed from there. Was she on it? Hiei leaned slightly through the doorway, listening. He heard movement inside, it sounded like footsteps coming closer.
"Hey, is that you Ku-"

Jordan stepped around the corner and looked at him in surprise," Oh, it's you."
Hiei stared at her silently. She walked closer, putting her face inches from his.
"You know, You look a lot better without that white thing over your forehead."

"What?," He asked quietly.

"Your face, it looks better without the sweatband on it...here."
She reached her hands forward and pushed it up with her fingers. Hiei didn't stop her, he was more interested in finding out where she was going with this.
She nodded," Yeah, much better. Your face is too pretty to hide, even with the eye in it."
Hiei frowned at her. Did she just say 'pretty' or was he hearing things?
She said it so casually, like she was only partly paying attention. Did she mean it?

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Jordan balled up the white sweatband he was wearing and stuck it in her pocket. She then motioned for him to follow her.
"C'mere."
She glanced back a few times to see if he was still behind her. She stopped in front of a floor length mirror surrounded by a black metal frame. Hiei walked beside her and she pushed him ahead of her so she could see him.
She cleared her throat,"Now don't take offence to this but when I first saw you I thought you were a girl."
She pointed to his clothes,"Because of that, it looks like a dress. I'm not exactly a fashion guru, but...no. "
She put her hand under his chin, despite the noise he made, and turned his face to the side then back,"And because of this. Your face is way too delicate to be a guy's. If I hadn't heard your voice I never would have figured out you were male. Funny, huh?"
Hiei said nothing, he just stared at his reflection, expressionless. Jordan tensed, she wondered if she should have kept her mouth shut and had pissed him off.
He turned his head slowly and looked at her over his shoulder, face blank.
"You...,"He said quietly,"You think I'm delicate..."
Jordan didn't know what to say, he seemed confused,"Uh yeah, your physical appearance. Why?"
Hiei turned back to the mirror, and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Did Kurama happen to tell you he has another form?"
Jordan thought before she answered. Hiei's voice was a little *too* nutral," Yeah, he did mention it to me..."
"So do I," He looked at her reflection,"This isn't my real appearance."
She bit her lip. So, was he going to show her what he looked like, or...?
"Show me then," She shrugged, trying her best to sound bored.
"You're sure?,"Now his voice was serious, he wasn't playing around. Of course, Jordan didn't figure him the type to make jokes very often.
"Yeah,"She shrugged again.
"Hn," He frowned at her.
Hiei faced her," Turn around."
She gave him an are-you-nuts? expression,"Why?"
"You ask far to many questions,"He said
Jordan rolled her eyes,"Fine."
She faced the bed clasping her hands behind her.
'I'm must be crazy turning my back to him like this. He'll probably tear my throat out, or my spine or..."
The thought cut short when a rush of hot energy filled the room. She gasped and shivered. 'This again, what the hell?'
Jordan felt him walk directly behind her. She held her breath as a hand extended itself around and waved slowly in her face. It was Hiei, but his fingernails were now black. No, not nails, claws. Small, curved claws made for ripping flesh. His skin had changed color, it was now a pale mint green. Out of curiosity she turned to face him. Besides the skin, nails, and the eyes having a yellow tint, he looked the same.
"Not bad...,"She shrugged.
Hiei was silent then said,"Really?", It sounded skeptical.
His voice was noticibly deeper as well.
"Yeah, no big deal. I thought you were going to transform into something like the creature from 'Alien'. Now that would have been scary."
"Alien?"
"A sci-fi/horror movie, one of the best killer-alien ones in my opinion."
"Hn,"He sighed and looked away.
Jordan noticed another difference in his appearance, his ears were pointed. She leaned in closer.
"Hey, you have elf ears,"She laughed. She ran her thumb along the edge of his left ear. Which was a mistake. Both gasped as a wave of heat washed over them. The heat found places in her nothing solid could touch. Jordan backed up shaking her hand by her side as if trying to will the experience to go away.
"Well, that was a stupid idea. I'll have to remember touching you in that form is a bad thing."
A tinge of fear entered her head when she switched her attention from her hand to the demon. Hiei was staring at her, and she did not like the look in his eyes.
"You talk too much,"He said quietly.
Suddenly Jordan wished she had more clothes on, but she knew no amount of outside protection could cover the feeling his gaze just gave her. Hiei *was* a predator, and she had a rough guess the tiger just spotted his next dead hoofed animal. The fire demon inched closer and she in turn backed up every time he moved forward. She kept going until the back of her knees hit the bed, and realized she had no where else to back up to. Jordan sure as hell wasn't going to climb onto the bed, that would have been stupid even for her. The thought of running for the door came to mind, but then she remembered the demon had the reflexes of a cat, she would never make it. Quickly she sidestepped from the bed keeping her eyes on him, thinking of what else would work while she tried to keep at least ten foot distance between them.
'This isn't good...'
Jordan made a 90 degree angle and walked until she was stopped by the other wall.
At that second she wished she'd told Hiei to get lost, but wishfull thinking wouldn't do her any good. He was almost close enough to reach her now.
"Don't fucking touch me you...," She hissed in fear.
"Shhhhh," He whispered pressing one clawed index finger to her mouth.
Jordan choked back a scream as the demon rubbed his face along her neck.
"I can control it if you don't fight me," He said softly, his breath making a chill run down her spine,"But if you run now I can't promise that I wont hurt you."
His arms closed around her back and she made a scared noise.
She twisted around far enough to pound her fist on the wall,"KURAMA!"

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Kurama sat, reading, his whip curled around the arm of the chair. His eyes were buried in the book but his ears were perked and listening for anything that could constitute as a scream, of pain or fear. If it was a different scream he would make sure not to barge in. He was sitting in a position that would be fastest for him to move from if Jordan was in danger. He knew if Hiei tried anything, there would be no way for Jordan to escape. No human was fast enough to out run him, or fight him off alone. Though Jordan's soul was not human, her physical body was and couldn't handle Hiei if he let himself go. Kurama knew how hard the fire demon worked to maintain his quiet demeanor, he lost it once with her, but was too obstinate to make the same error twice. Only, that all depended on what the familiar's reaction would be, she was as equally unyielding as Hiei.
"KURAMA!"
He leaped up at the sound of his name, and in less than four seconds was throwing open the door to the neighboring room. Just as he thought, Hiei had turned into his demon form. He had Jordan pinned against the wall and was licking her collar bone. A blush was covering her cheeks and she was breathing hard, but the expression in her eyes said help.
Kurama yanked him away and Hiei dug his claws into the fox's arm and shoulder. Warm blood seeped down his fingers and dripped onto Hiei as they struggled to gain control of each other. Hiei slammed Kurama into the floor length mirror and it cracked. They ended up on the floor with Kurama on top, pressing his whip into the fire demon's throat. Blood trickled out where the thorns scratched him.
"Hiei," He attempted to get the smaller demon's attention, but all he got was a low growl. So he brought his hand back and gave him a small, hard slap in the face.
Hiei flinched, then looked at him, eyes focusing.
"Can you hear me?," He said calmly.
"Yes," came the whispered reply.
"Good," Still holding Hiei down he turned to the woman," Jordan...familiar, look at me."
The woman had slid to the floor, knees hugged to her chest. She gazed up at him, eyebrows drawn together.
"I'm going to ask you a very important question and I want an answer, do you understand?"
"I...understand." She said quietly.
"You have two choices. You can leave the room and go into mine while I hold him down. Or, I can let him up and leave you alone with him. Decide quickly, I can not hold him much longer."
"I...,"She stammered," I don't...I don't know."
"Decide familiar, or I will choose for you."
Hiei began to push himself up ,and Kurama used all his weight to slam him back down. Hiei was much stronger in this form, without killing him Kurama couldn't have a battle of physical power and win. If he made the choice then he'd leave and let Hiei take her, personally he thought both would be better off that way. Now he *knew* Hiei would force himself to stay in control, but the woman was scared, and his human side felt the need to protect her because of it. So, he'd let her choose first. If she made a decision she regretted later, it would be her fault, not his.

The rose whip was staring to dig into his skin. Kurama was pushing it harder in order to keep him from getting up. He wanted the fox to leave him and the familiar to their business. Problem was, if Kurama didn't get out soon he was going to end up ravaging her when he did leave. The familiar was taking too long, why did she have to be so afraid of saying yes? She was obviously enjoying his mouth on her neck, why did it matter if he were to use it on something else?
Of course he knew the answer, but at that instant he could have cared less. The only thing on the front of his mind at the moment was the first time he awoke with her riding him. Despite his wish for her to leave him alone he'd actually enjoyed the feel of his groin against hers, only the two layers of cloth separating them. He didn't understand his attraction to the woman, he found human females to be boring in appearance, and most of them were brainless in his opinion. Albeit her intelligence level was much higher then that of Urameshi's or his idiot friend's, but she wasn't the toughest soldier in the platoon. Intense situations seemed to make her a little air-headed, Hiei figured she was terrible at handling stress. No matter, in a few minutes Kurama was going to leave anyway and then she would get the stress of dealing with *him*.
His breathing was starting to slow, but he wasn't becoming any less aroused. The familiar still hadn't come to a decision. He'd stopped struggling with Kurama, who had then decreased the pressure on his neck. He wouldn't force the spirit fox to make the choice for her, he wanted the woman to say yes herself. It increased the excitement of the ordeal.
Hiei lay still and watched her, making sure the lust showed plainly in his eyes. She was staring straight at him, making herself look as small and harmless as possible. What ever ploy she had to make herself seem pathetic and undesirable, it wasn't working. At all.
His eyes darted to Kurama when he spoke after the long silence," Have you decided, or shall I choose for you? Your time is up, Jordan."

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Her heart was pounding, what in the hell was she suppose to do? Jordan made the biggest mistake in wanting to come to the demon realm, she would have been much safer staying at Genkai's temple. She never would have met Hiei, and he would be dead, destroyed by his third eye. Not that she wished he was dead but... Then she thought of something that could buy her time.
"I...I'm not on birth-control," She said it as clearly as she could.
Kurama arched his eyebrows at her,"What?"
"I can't sleep with anyone if I might get pregnant. I'm not even twenty-one yet, it would be kind of inconvenient."
She lowered her gaze to the floor, then glanced back up at Kurama and made her best innocently guilty smile. The smile changed to an embarrassed cringe when she met eyes with Hiei once more. She felt her face grow hot, and buried her face in her knees. When Jordan heard a light crinkling sound next to her she looked by her foot. There was a silver square shaped rapper lying there. Her eyes grew big and her face turned another shade of red when she finished verifying to herself what it was. A condom. That she had not expected.
"Does that solve your problem?," Kurama asked her quietly.
After a few seconds she bit her lip and shook her head no.
"Oh, why not?"
She opened her mouth but said nothing. She jumped when Hiei growled. Kurama tapped his whip on Hiei's chest telling him to be quiet.
"I see," Kurama gave a knowing smile and blinked slowly," He frightens you."
She frowned at the demon fox and looked away.
"Don't feel ashamed by it," The red head told her," I were you I would fear him as well. But you shouldn't be so afraid of this, he wont hurt you. In fact I believe you will enjoy it."
Jordan shook her head. Was he insane?
Kurama stood up releasing his hold on the fire demon," Since you did not choose, I chose for you. I'm leaving you both here to deal with this yourselves. I have done enough."
The closer Kurama came to the door the larger the twinge of fear in her stomach grew. She almost yelped when it shut behind him.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

He mirrored the position the woman was in, but rested his chin on his knees instead of hiding his face. He could wait awhile, taking her scared to death would do neither of them any good.
His eyes fell on the silver rapper Kurama had left on the floor. Hiei didn't figure him the type to carry one around. The fox was far to conservative to be girl-meat, and it wasn't as if he saw that far ahead to this incident. He himself had only used one once before with a considerably prissy demon girl.
No matter, if he had to use it, he would, no questions asked. He only hoped she would calm down before his crotch started to hurt.
Hiei stood slowly up and walked to where the woman sat. Using his index and middle finger on one hand he picked it up. She froze, probably wondering what he was going to do. He went and sat down on the bed looking at her the entire time.
Hiei rotated the rapper around in his hand," What are you afraid of, hm? My appearance, does it bother you that I'm an 'unnatural' color, or is the claws, hm? What?"
She faintly shrugged her shoulders, but stayed silent. Not a sufficient answer for him.
"Or is it...that I'm a demon, yes, no?"
The familiar lifted up her head enough for him to see her eyes," Why do *you* want to fuck me, huh?," She snarled at him," Am I that god damn irresistible? Go find a demon chick to screw and leave me the hell alone."
Hiei smirked in frustration," Unfortunately a demon wouldn't help me in this situation. I need you for this," He paused," But I find it very ironic that you haven't left yet. I sit here not going near you, and you have had many chances to run away if you truly wanted to. Kurama is so close, he would hide you from me if you asked him to. And yet you are still here. What is it that makes you stay sitting there? Fear? Why don't you run away,...Jordan?"
He'd said her name on purpose, he had never used it before. She also noticed that because she pulled her head up and stared at him with a surprised expression.
"I am not afraid of you," She emphasized every word, drawing out the last one.
Hiei frowned. Talking to her wasn't doing any good. He'd only succeeded in making her more frightened. But it was his only option aside from ripping off her clothes, and that wouldn't work either. So he would try talking again.
"So you are not afraid of me, are you afraid of sex itself? You don't strike me as a virgin, at least not in one sense."
She glared at him.
"You're angry, so I must be getting warmer. Are you afraid of having sex specifically with men?"
Her expression changed slightly, now it looked more scared.
"Scared now? I *must* be getting closer to the problem. Let's see, hn, I'm guessing in all of your relationships you were the 'dominant' partner, correct? So you always gave it to them. How about the other way around, did they ever give it to you?"
"That is none of your fucking business," She fumed at him.
He smirked again," I will take that as a 'yes'."
Still holding the rapped condom between his fingers he stood and walked in front of her. He knew the problem now. He put both hands flat on the wall and leaned over her.
"I assume that means you don't like being dominated, in any way, shape, or form. You don't want anyone in control of your body, but you. Am I right?"
Jordan craned her neck to stare at him. She looked bewildered.
"What are you?," She whispered.
Hiei dropped to all fours next to her. He was a little over a foot away from being close enough to kiss her. As he leaned towards the woman she shrinked tighter into a ball.
Hiei growled and dug his claws into the floor. This wasn't working at all, in about ten minutes he was going to lose it and she was going to bleed. Except, he couldn't let that happen. There was something else, what was he missing? He stood up
"Don't move," He told her.
Kurama was still reading his book, sitting in the same chair.
"Kurama, what didn't you tell me before? I'm missing something. What is it?"
The fox never took his eyes off his reading material but spoke," Back so soon? I'd thought you figured it out by now."
"Obviously not," He hissed," And it's driving me insane. Why isn't she running here if she doesn't want to stay in the room with me?"
"The answer is screaming in your face, I'm very suprised. You're usually much better than me at reading women. Besides, you fit her profile."
He arched an eyebrow at him,"Profile? For what?"
"Guess,"He smiled.
Hiei growled," Kurama, I don't have time to play games."
"There, you said it."
"Said what, game?"
"Yes."
Hiei thought for a second," Don't tell me she's playing a game with me," He sighed.
"She's not trying to be cute, Hiei. Like I said before, you fit her profile."
"Profile for what?"
"I can't tell you directly."
"Why not?," He narrowed his eyes.
"She made me swear not to."
Hiei growled," I hate guessing things."
He hissed, his arousal was beginning to kill him. The woman was pissing him off, indirectness was one of his pet peeves.
"Kurama, I'm not particularly in a good mood right at this moment. Tell me *now* before I end up fucking *you*."
The fox smiled," Sorry, but you're not my type."
"Kurama..."
The red head sighed," I see you're not in your 'right mind' at the moment..."
"No kidding."
Kurama turned to face him in the chair," Go back to her, and no matter how much she tells you to stop, do not."
Hiei stared at him," You don't mean...?"
The demon fox nodded quietly.
Hiei balled his fists," I hate it when women do this..."
"Careful, don't injure her. That is why I was so concerned before, I needed to make sure you wouldn't shut off your brain completely. You need to set the limits because she wont tell you to."
"She did not seem like that kind of person. She's very good at concealing it."
Kurama nodded," She has to be, it's too dangerous. Go now, before she changes her mind."
Hiei smirked inwardly, at least now he knew why she was acting so strange. Now he would see what could work and what couldn't.

He returned to the room, the familiar was still in the same spot.
'She did what I said, maybe the fox was right...'
He stood over her, looking down.
"If you wanted *that* you should have told me..." He said softly.
She raised her head and glared at him" Get away from me," She whispered.
"No."
Hiei crouched down and took hold of her upper arm gently," Stand up."
She shook her head.
"Get up now, or we finish this on the floor."
The familiar gave him a questioning look, then shook her head again and lowered her face.
Hiei frowned, 'Kurama *was* right. But what does she want if she wont tell me?'
Still grasping her arm, he lifted her chin in his other hand and brought his mouth to hers. His entire lower body was starting to throb, if they didn't start soon, she would *have* to run to Kurama, or he would switch to instinct.
He broke the kiss and lowered his face to her neck," Stand up," He breathed on her.
Putting his arms under hers he lifted her against the wall. When she was standing
he transferred them to her lower back, keeping his mouth on her neck. He switched them so his back was to the wall then he began to push her toward the bed. He used his body to put her in a sitting position. Her legs were closed, angled to one side.
Putting both hands on her knees he spread them open, she resisted, but wasn't strong enough. He sat on his knees in between them. Her scent filled his nostrils and he let out a low hiss. The familiar put her hands on his shoulders, gripping the black material. He placed one hand on her leg and using his middle finger of the other
stroked very slowly up the crotch of her jeans. When her breath quickened he stopped and stood up, still between her legs. In one second he pulled off his outer covering of clothes leaving him standing in his pants. Now it was time for her to lose some. He pushed her shoulders till they were flat on the bed then he undid the button on her jeans and yanked them off, leaving her t-shirt and green underwear. Seeing the dark area on the bright green cloth made the demon lose about thirty I.Q. points. Hiei shook his head trying to regain them, he refused to become dumber for glimpsing an aroused women's undergarments.
He pushed her arms forward, motioning her to move further onto the bed.
"Go," He said quietly.
She scooted up on her elbows, and he followed her, until she reached the end of the bed. The bed was oval shaped and large enough to fit four people on it. He crawled onto her, pressing their hips together. The familiar gasped when he pressed harder, causing her to tighten. He felt it and collapsed, pinning her body underneath his.

Kurama was fine until he'd caught a whiff of what was going on in the other room. Unfortunatly spirit foxes had a much better sence of smell than a fire demon. He wrinkled his nose and shifted uncomfortably in his chair. In a few minutes he was going to have to take a cold shower.
