Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ The Demon Seven Saga ❯ The Dark Council ( Prologue )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

A soft golden glow emanates from a small golden orb in the middle a dark, damp room. Six tall cloaked figures stand around the orb, hunched over the sphere at it suddenly springs to life. The sphere show the image of a young teenage boy with jet black hair wearing a green jacket and green pants fighting with an orange, three-horned beast twice his size and built. The orb sparks and switches to an image of the same boy fighting a pale creature with long, flowing red hair and blue markings covering his face and chest in a spider-like pattern. Another spark, another image over and over.

“That's enough” a harsh voice from outside the circle responds.

The orb turns dark and floats over in the direction of the voice. The six cloaked figures turn in towards a seventh cloaked figure sitting on a large throne made of human skulls. The orb floats directly in front of the sitting figure.

“This boy seems to be a much bigger problem than we originally thought, Sir” says one of the cloaked figures.

“Not really. There are merely factors that we neglected to account for” responds another.

“Who could have foreseen that Sensui's assault on him would result in his Koukai blood awakening” says another.

“ENOUGH!!” cries the sitting figure. A sudden silence falls across the room. “It is true that we did not adequately prepare for Raizen's decedent to learn of his powers and heritage but all is not lost. I think it is time we made ourselves known to the denizens of the living world.”

“But Sir…!” the other six figures exclaimed.

The sitting man raises an arm to silence the others. The hem of the cloak falls down revealing the figure to be holding his index figure up. Through the glow of the orb, the hand seems very strong, ending in a sharp point.

“This pest has forced us to show our hand. Now it is time for us to take the fight directly to Yuskuke Urameshi”

The sitting demon grabs the sphere in his hand and crushed it, extinguishing the light.
