Kurama walked down the hallways, locating his room. He had been here, living in Genkai's, for a long while now, and he had long remembered this place like the back of his hand. It had been an almost peaceful day, until it started going bad when they were called back here. Why did it just have to be his life that was so complicated?

*Because, I'm here. That's why. And don't tell me that you'd rather be like all those other Smarty-Pants in your school, going home and studying, studying, and studying more on top of that, when you're never even going to use what the hell you've been studying for. You have to admit, you like the action of this complicated life.* Yoko chimed in, smirking to himself.

'That is true...but, still, I'd think it'd be nice to have a little peace and quiet every once in a while. But that's a very hard thing to achieve with a perverted silver kitsune who doesn't know when to stop talking is there, living in your head as your other half.'

*And I know when you say that you're not talking about me, now are you?* Yoko asked, just wanting to annoy Kurama more. He just earned a long sigh from the red-head. *Oh, come on, Red. Are you still upset that I was right and you were wrong?*

'Yoko...Must you be so smug?' Kurama asked, knowing the answer.

Yoko paused and mocked to be thinking it over, a hand under his chin in a very pose thinking position. *Yes.* He then said happily.

Kurama sighed yet again and turned to walk into his room. He paused when he saw someone sitting on his bed. It was Kena, she was sitting there and looking around, in her dark grey mini skirt and light grey long sleeved shirt. Her hair was up, as it had been when he had last saw her, about 10 minutes ago, at dinner. He looked to the side of the room, and saw 2 suit cases, also a black backpack, all of which lying neatly in the corner. His eyes quickly turned back to Kena.

Too bad she didn't see him. Not only was she too busy looking around, thinking, and cursing under her breath, she was sitting with her back towards the door. 'I can't believe this. The room's nice and all, but still! There's only ONE bed!! I wonder who's gonna sleep on the floor....He is.' That's when something kept tugging at her senses. 'Turn around. Someone's there.' Is what her mind told her.

Kena arched her back forward when she felt someone's eyes digging into the back of her head. She then quickly snapped her head around to the door, only to see the boy himself. The guy who she was...going to share a room with. She almost shuddered at the thought. He was there, though, standing in the door frame, giving her a questioning look. "Yes?" Kena then asked, wanting to know why he was staring.

"Um...I think you have came into the wrong room...This one belongs to me. Yours is over there." Kurama said, pointing across the hallway. Kena blinked at him.

'Does...Does he really don't know!?' She thought, then got a blunt look on her face. 'Well, he's going to find out.'

"Hey, Red, Go check out the room yourself. Tell me if you like it." Kena said, crossing her arms over her stomach and looking away as Kurama exited the room and did as he was told.

Kurama had never really looked into other rooms, unless it was completely necessary. He slid the door open and looked in, only to find the room's once polished wood flooring having an deep layer of dirt and dust settled over it, and furniture which was worn out, old, and broken, laying in random places on the floor. The cream paint was also chipping off. Kurama bit his bottom lip as he let his eyes scroll over the room once again.

'She's right...She can't sleep in there.' Kurama thought.

*Well, there's plenty of room in other places, like--* Yoko was quickly cut off by Kurama.

'Yoko, if you say outside, I swear I'm not going to let you come out at all anymore.' Kurama told him in a stern tone.

*...I wasn't going to say outside. There's room in that bathroom. And the closet. And there's probably a nice little cave somewhere in the woods.* Yoko retorted, smiling brightly. He never used the word 'Outside'.

Kurama heaved a heavy sigh and walked back to his room, only to see Kena still sitting there, a book close to her face.

"So..." She muttered, felling his presents. "You probably hate me for this, Right?" Kena didn't wait for him to answer before she continued. "I'd hate me too, But think about it this way..." She trailed off to look back at him with almost pleading purple eyes. "I'm only going to live in here for a while..."

"I'd say I didn't mind at all, but that would be a lie. It's...a new thought to have some one else in this room. But, I'll live with it for a while if I must. How long is this, 'While' anyway?" He then asked, siting down on the bed next to her, looking forward rather than over to her.

Kena lied her pony tail on her shoulder, letting her dark brown hair cascade over it and down her arm as she started playing with it. "Well...I can't say a week. They're going to remodel ALL of it. Maybe...a month?" She noticed how Kurama almost winced at the word. "Two, TOPS. I swear. I think. I hope."

Kurama sighed again and then stood up. "Okay. Then I guess we might as well get you unpacked."

*I'm going to give her an hour. That's when I'm going to start hating her. I swear.*

'Didn't you already hate her?' Kurama asked quickly.

Yoko paused for a short while, thinking about that last remark from his red-headed other half.*...Then I'll just hate her MORE. Happy?*

~~~(Two Hours Later)~~~
*I hate her. I hate her so much now. I'm surprised she lasted THIS long.*
'I was expecting that.' Kurama bluntly replied.
"I--I'm sorry!! I didn't mean to!! Here, I'm going to write in my planner RIGHT NOW!! Look! Watch!!" Kena quickly ran over to her black backpack and pulled out a small green note pad for empathizes. "Okay, I'm writing down, 'I owe Kurama a new computer!' I'm sorry!" Kena screamed out from her side of the room.
Kurama wasn't as mad at her for basically destroying his brand new computer as much as he was getting mad at her for apologizing over and over. "It's okay, Kena..." He told her, annoyance was obvious in his voice.
"No, It's NOT okay!! I swear, I'm going to go buy you a computer!! I didn't mean to, I'm so--" Kurama cut her off.
"Kena, I'm about to hit you if you say you're sorry one more time." Kurama quickly told her, glaring.
"But, I am!!" Kena then said.
Kurama closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to kill a growing headache. He knew Kena hadn't meant to destroy his computer. It was almost more Yusuke's fault than hers.
Kena bit her bottom lip as she remembered what had happened. She had been in her room, the one across from Kurama's, the one she couldn't live in yet because it wasn't really declared a 'room'. So, had been stepping backwards, trying to measure with her hands, what color would be better for the room, because Genkai wanted to know so they could get things started all ready. Well, back to the walking backwards, she was just walking backwards, minding her own business, when her foot stumbled onto Yusuke's skateboard.
That already spells destruction.
Well, her foot did the opposite of what it was supposed to, and was pushed forward, the skateboard being thrown back, into Kurama's room. It just so happened that the skateboard was thrown into the air, and it chose to land right in the middle of Kurama's brand new monitor, which he had just set up about the month before.
The monitor was completely ruined. There was no hope for it anymore.
And Kena, she had felt horrible. She was even kicking herself for it later that night, at about 9 o'clock. She looked outside of Kurama's window, smiling at the dark sky. It was starting to get late. Kurama wasn't in the room at the moment, he was in the living room or something. Finishing homework or something else to do with school.
Kena sighed, sliding her hand down the clear glass, looking out at the trees that stretched for what seemed, forever. At Genkai's, It was miles from the nearest town. Meaning she would have to catch a train and it would still take a while if she took a shortcut. But, she wanted to get the new computer as quickly as possible. She wasn't just going to sleep in a room with a guy that probably secretly loathed her and thought about ways to kill her at night for destroying his computer.
She nibbled her lip again. 'Well, I could use a portal. But, you only use portal's for an emergency. For missions. To just use it without Spirit World permission would be braking the rules.'
Kena thought about what she had just thought and almost laughed at herself. 'Braking the rules?!?! Please!! I act like I've never broke the rules before. Hell, like my moto goes, "Rules are meant to be broken."' Kena paused.
'I thought my moto was "shut the hell up." Or, "I hate motos."' Kena paused again. "Whatever. I'm just going to use the freakin' portal." Kena muttered to herself as she reached for her watch and pressed a button, causing the Oh so familiar fire to surround her body, taking her into a dark nothing-ness. Once she was there, she thought about the place she wanted to be, and opened her eyes, finding herself in a dark, damp ally.
'Um, not what I was really hoping for...'
She let her eyes settle, and she soon saw things moving around her. 'Rats...' She thought, backing up slowly and hearing a loud hiss. 'And cats too...' Kena quickly pulled her watch back out and teleported yet again, feeling the heat of fire engulf her body quickly. When she opened her eyes this time, she was in a different place, but it definitely was not the city.
'It...It's beautiful...' She thought as she looked out. She was in a meadow, surrounded with grass and colorful flowers which were closed at the moment, due to the dark. The radiant moonlight hit the lake that was just a little further up, and she could see the water moving under the soft gaze. Wind then flowed though the meadow and teased her hear along the grass around. She took a deep breath. 'Even the air tastes sweet...' She thought.
"This is much better than the city..." She muttered out, still looking around. Her eyes stopped on the moon. It wasn't full, it was just a small sliver. Somehow, it still lit up this place in such a way as that night. Kena was hit by flashbacks and thoughts of the ignorant Kitsune, and soon found herself scowling. "Heh...I don't know why I keep thinking about him..."
But, she did know why. 'He...reminds me of him. Kurama. He seems like the Kitsune himself. I don't know why. They don't really look the same. And their behavior is completely different. If any, I'd say the were opposites. So, why the hell do I think they're a like?' That little concept seemed to plage her a lot lately. She had just realized, just mere hours before, that Kurama reminded her of the Fox Demon. And yet, the thought of them both seemed to seep back into her mind whenever she tried not to think at all.
Kena lied herself on the grass, sighing with satisfaction at how soft it was. She looked out into the sky, into the soft lit stars and the bright sliver of a moon all sitting before a dark black background. It was hard to believe that just days ago it was huge, full and looming. "Hmm..." She hummed out, letting her mind fend for itself, leading her no where. She just let it think as she relaxed, not controlling her thoughts.
'I wonder...When will I see you again, Kitsune?'
