[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Rose: I still don't own YuYu Hakusho, but I do own The Makai Lullaby (the song and the story) so no stealie!! I warn for some OOC-ness (such as making Kurama a little stalker-ish), but other than that, it's all good!
That reminds me; if stalkers are coming out as hot as Kurama, sign me up for one!

“How about 4 o'clock in the park that we met in?”
I nodded. “I'll be there.”
He grinned at me, eliciting a small smile from me. “Perfect.” He said, turning slowly.
I watched him casually walk away until I could no longer see him. As I turned, I finally noticed that the flowers that Suuichi had been holding had somehow found their way into my hands. That boy is interesting, I thought. That's for sure.

Chapter four: the Date
Waking up refreshed the next morning, I did my morning routine (shower, breakfast…ya know) and found myself standing in front of my closet. I meticulously scrutinized everything in my possession, trying to find the right outfit for my date with Suuichi after school. Finding a sky blue knee-length skirt and a tank top of the same color, I pulled out a sweater and put them all neatly in my bookbag and got into my blue and yellow uniform.
The walk to school was an average one, giving me ample opportunity to let my mind wander. I was knee-deep in a fond memory from my childhood when I found myself climbing up the stairs into the school. I quickly made my way to my classroom and was in my seat just as the bell began to ring. The rest of the day was a haze of semi-attentive learning and after what seemed like a year, the end of class bell rang. I packed my school items in my bag with lightning speed and I raced to the girls' bathroom. Since it was the end of the day, there was no one in the bathroom, so I quickly changed into my pre-planned outfit, re-did my hair and fixed my makeup. I checked myself out in the full length mirror on my way out, making a face at my plain black shoes that were part of my uniform and cursed myself for not grabbing a pair of sandals on my way out of the house.
I walked quickly towards the park, not entirely knowing what to expect when I got there. The weather was absolutely stunning for a walk in the park and I looked around for Suuichi as I made my way through the immaculate rows. I had just passed an exquisite bed of irises when I saw that trademark mop of red hair. As I rounded the corner, I noticed that he was in the process of placing a deep navy blanket onto the jade grass. As I walked towards him, I heard him muttering to himself as he adjusted the blanket.
“No, that's not even. She'll notice for sure.”
Feeling a little playful, I walked behind him and cleared my throat. “Who'll notice what?”
Startled, Suuichi jumped, nearly hitting me with a stray hand in the process. “Oh! Tenshi! You're early!” he stopped to catch his breath and finally looked at me. “You look beautiful, Tenshi.”
Despite the near-scare I'd received, I blushed and gave Suuichi a small smile. As I did, I noticed that Suuichi was wearing a deep emerald shirt and a pair of black pants. “Thank you, you look very nice as well.”
This time it was Suuichi's turn to blush. “Thank you.”
“So,” I said, setting my bookbag onto the grass beside me. “What did you have planned?”
“Well, I was thinking that we could just sit and talk for a while, to get to know each other better and then maybe get something to eat, if that's okay with you.”
I considered it for a moment. “Sure. That sounds nice.” I sat down on the blanket, folding my knees next to me like a lady. “It is a lovely day, isn't it?”
“Oh yes, lovely.” Suuichi agreed. “Do you come to this park often? I can't recall ever seeing you before yesterday.”
“I usually only come to this park once a month, to take care of some, er, family business.”
“The Pan flute, you mean?”
“Yeah,” I said, smiling. “It's a little something between me and my Grandma.” I paused for a minute, reveling in the memory of my lovely Grandma. “What about you? Are you a regular here?”
“I get here when I can.” He sighed. “Sometimes, there's just too much going on and I really do miss my time here. It's so relaxing to me.”
“I agree.”
We lapsed into comfortable conversation until the sun began to slip beneath the visible rim of the sky. As it began to get dark, Suuichi and I began to collect our things.
“Would you still like to have dinner with me?” he asked.
“Sure, but if you'd like, we could eat at my house. It's not far and I really enjoy cooking.”
Suuichi thought this over for a moment. “It's okay with me on one condition.” When I gave him a questioning glance, he continued. “You have to let me help.”
I giggled and smiled. “Sure thing.”
