“We're already a minute late fine come with us!”

 

“Koenma we need a portal.”

 

I jump right into the portal that appears in front of me and everyone follows.

Emily and I both land on our feet while everyone else falls on their butts and gasp at the sight of their surroundings.

 

 

The place was hideous the house was run down and the trees surrounding the area seemed to have been fried. The dirt they were on seem hard as rock and from a distance they could see a destroyed city and even farther the sound of drums and children yelling and singing and dancing wildly. The nearest house within eyesight was also looking quiet destroyed and a forest with a stream through it was next to it. The house they were in front of though looked like it once had an apple tree that once was fruitful and a garden.

 

“What is this place?”

 

“Holy shit what happened here, why wasn't this in the news?”

 

“Because this is another dimension, the one I grew up in. Before this place was beautiful, children, like me used to play together and acted nicely, but also like me after the accident we grew angrier, harder to live with, destructive. Either we starved and died, became and lived the way I did, or....”

 

I point to a place in the forest where smoke was coming from.

 

“.... or turned into those pathetic beings. Looting house for scarps of food, young girls became prostitutes; many kids died from smoking and drinking and fights with themselves. It's pitiful isn't it? There is one girl whom I've heard off here..... They say her heart is as cold as ice and hard as stone.... huh, I got carried away there again. -Laugh- I really must miss this old place.”

 

“Well we came here for something didn't us, Alex so let's go.”

 

“Wait... listen to me if the old lady... if Ms. Green decides to give you anything, refuse it. There isn't any food here or anywhere else in this dimension because of... of what happened. Keep her company with Emily while I do what I came here to do.”

 

We all walk inside and I bow my head as I walk through the door. An old lady in an old chair with a pile of rocks at her side looks up to see us and the others.

 

“Alex, you're two minutes late. Emily, come here darling, have some tea and soup.”

 

“No, that is your food and I will not take anything from you.”

 

“Since I came here two minutes late I will stay two minutes extra.”

 

“Your choice, Alex. Emily how are you.”

 

“Fine and you Ms. Green?”

 

“Weak as always, but do not pity me. Please introduce me to these young men. They must have followed you here, they certainty didn't come here on their own and as we know no one will ever follow Alex, The putrid, horrible girl.”

 

“Oh, no they didn't follow me I invited them to come.”

 

“Well, it still wouldn't be hard to believe that all four of these young men fell in love with you and followed you, but if you say so.”

 

I grab a rubber band and tie up my hair except for a strand that fell in front of my left eye.

 

“Hurry up foolish bitch and start your work.”

 

I run outside and into a shed that was behind the house. I took out a few garden tools and started on the garden first.

 

“You're doing what that old lady is telling you to?”

 

“Go back inside Hiei I need no company.”

 

“Why do you do her every command?”

 

“Go away I must do this.”

 

I start with my work and sigh as he jumps into a tree. It took me two hours to finish the whole front and backyard gardens and I walk inside with my head down as I walked past Ms. Green who is telling everyone stories about the city's past and me. I started dusting and washing the wooden floors quickly and finish in another hour. I started cooking the food I found in the kitchen and in another hour I'm done.

 

“About time you freak. Now get out of my sight and don't be late again. Emily dear please bring more of your friends next time.”

 

“Yes, ma'am.”

 

I quickly grab anything I left and run out the door with my head as usual down as I pass her. I close the door and sigh. I start walking towards the forest as Emily clears her throat and grabs my attention.

 

“I'll take the guys home and I'm kinda tired myself so see ya. Ms. Green healed Yusuke and Kuwabara by the way.”

 

“Bye.”

 

I run up to the house that was within eyesight and run inside. I gasp at the sight of the inside of the house totally thrashed and a picture frame upside down on the floor. I knelt down and ignored the glass that cut through my legs as I kneeled on the floor and picked up the frame. A picture of a small girl no less than four with her purple hair in two pigtail and a guy with black hair and a woman with her light purple hair in a long pony tail. Next to the little girl was a little boy around 8 years of age with the same color hair as her smiling and him and the small girl were laughing. Behind the two was a taller girl that has blue and pink hair and grinning while putting the smaller girl in a headlock. I felt a tear drop down my cheek and I quickly wiped it off my face. I took out the photo and tucked it into my pocket. I walked out the door and ran to the forest where the smoke was coming from.

 

“Now where are you going onna?”
