Chapter Two- The Trust To Be Earned
Kit was sitting in the grass near the stream. After she washed up, she had decided to take a quick rest before more demons decide to attack. The sun was setting and it was getting late. She snapped her attention to the bushes and forest area behind her. Hearing strange voices she hid behind some of the bushes to spy on her new guests.
With The Guests Aka The Detectives
" I hope we find her soon, there's no tellin' what kind of creatures have gotten to her by now" worried Kuwabara. " Dont worry Kuwabara we'll find Kit and everything will be okay. You saw how she fought so it's not like she cant defend herself" Replied Yusuke.
" What I dont understand is, what she meant by half-breed" questioned Kurama.
With Kit:Kit's POV
'How do they know my name?! How did they know I said half-breed?! .......Why do they look so worried...especially that ugly orange haired baka' After leaving my thought I decided to walk up to them and ask what gives but the guy with black gravity defying (sp?) hair spotted my hiding place. "I know your there onna, stop hiding and show yourself" he said to me. How did he know i was here? I obeyed and walked up to the area of which they made a campsite. They all stared at me as if I grew a second head, I was nervous so I touched my neck just to make sure. The one they called Kuwabara stood up and asked if I was alright. I said I was and asked what they wanted with me, the only thing they had to say was Koenma would explain everything. That same damn baby that made my life hell was supposed to make it better? We'll just see when we get there, but if as so much mentions my past his head comes off.
Normal POV
It was really late, 1:00 am to be exact. Kit didn't want to sleep with new people she did'nt know all around her. What if they were lying? What if they just wanted to torture her like all demons before them? Were they even demons? She could sense that two of the group were indeed demons, but the other two had human energy. She learned to never trust anyone until you know they situation and the people your up against. Hiei, the one that had called her onna, never kept his eyes off her, like he was daring her to run away. But right now his eyes were closed, as was Yusuke's, Kuwabara's and Kurama's. They all seemed trust worthy.But were they? Against her better insticnts she too decided to sleep, after all, you cant fight back if your body is to weak.
At Koenma's
" Alright Koenma we got her, now fill in the details.....we didn't say anything to her" Yawned Yusuke. It took nearly all the strength everyone had to wake his sorry carcuss up. Koenma clears his throat. " yes..well Kit, were you aware that you had a human family?" asked Koenma
" Uh...Hello!? A human family???" he nodded. " so I'm half demon, half human?" Again he nodded. "Ooookay. So whats the big deal? Why am I here and Why the hell are you suckin on that thing so hard!?" Kit yelled pulling out Koenma's pacifier. " Hey give that back!" " Answer me and I will" "Alright. Kuwabara there is your older half brother. He has an elder sister named Shizuru. The reason Why your here is because, Yusuke and the rest are Spirit Detectives and they killed team Toguro in a Dark Tournament. The demons in Makai didnt like that so they want to kill everyone connected to them. They will protect you and Hiei wiil train you since you are a fire apparition. Now can I have my pacifier back!?"
"What?! Why do I have to train this baka onna??!!" yelled Hiei. " Ya know Hiei I hear the spirit jails are looking rather fine this time of year" Complied Koenma. Hiei just Hn'd. " Also, Kit, you will be staying with Genkai, Yukina and Hiei while your being protected. Your all dismissed. Botan should have a portal ready for you to be transported" And with that shooed you all out of the room to the portal.You were all greated by a chirpy blue haired girl that scared you to no end. " Hello! You must be Kit! Im Botan nice to meet'cha!" she practically yelled with being to hyper. Kit fell over and klutched her heart, it was beating so fast it was probably as fast as Hiei. " Im going to say this once Botan......DONT DO THAT AGAIN! YOU NEARLY GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK!" She only giggeled (sp?) and apologized. She lead the 5 of you to the portal, and jumped in, in this order: Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama. Kit was hesitant to go into the portal, that is until Hiei had something to say.
" Scared Onna?" He smirked. " No....I just never used a portal before is all" She glared. " So in other words your scared" He glared back. " I said n---" Kit found herself being held bridal style by Hiei. He jumped into the portal with Kit in his arms.
Kits's POV
' Botan lead us to a portal after scaring me half to death. I found out that Kuwabara is my half brother. I guess it's cool, atleast I have family now, even if he is a baka. We made it to the portal, it glowed blue and green. I watched the others go in, I was scared but didn't show it.Then Hiei and I had an arguement, he picked me up bridal style and carried me through the portal. He was so warm..and soft? Before I knew it Hiei and I were in front of a temple. He dropped me on my ass and said to hurry up. Im guessing he wants me to get to training. But he can wait, He can't be in that much of a hurry to face my Cobra attacks' with that I smirked and followed Hiei.
