Warnings: This is the chapter with the birth in it, some angst, but at the end a lot of cute baby stuff.

The Pregnant Disease Chapter 10: The Birth

"He's an experiment," the nurse at the counter asked, looking at the boy being held by Kuwabara.

"Yes! Now hurry up and get a doctor for him," Yusuke yelled in her face. She was being really stupid, and they had no time to waste! Luckily for them, they were able to get two doctors to help them. Dr. Chang [1], and Dr. Barton [2].

"Follow us please," one of them said, and they placed Kurama in a wheeling chair in order to get him there faster without hurting him. He was quickly placed into a room, and was dressed into an operating gown.

"We'll have to perform a c-section. Do both of you have strong stomachs? If not, then please leave into the waiting room," Dr. Chang explained.

"You better be careful with him, or else," Yusuke started to threaten, but was interrupted by Dr. Barton with, "Don't worry. We've been through this type of thing before [3]."

A little stunned, both boys got out of the room, as several nurses came in to help with the operation.

"What do you think he meant by they've been through this before," Kuwabara asked while they both sat in the waiting room. Yusuke just did an, `I don't know,' gesture, and both of them were relieved when they saw Hiei enter the waiting room. He looked fine, or actually happy with the little smirk on his face, but immediately lost it when he asked, "Is everything okay with Kurama?"

"They're just about to perform a c-section. We got him here just in time," Yusuke answered, and watched as worry passed through those red eyes. All three of them then started to wait, and saw nurses run in and out of the room that Kurama was in.

After three or so hours of just waiting, Koenma, Genkai, Yukina, Kayko, and Botan had all arrived being told the news over the phone.

"Have you come up with names for the babies," Yukina asked seeming a bit cheerful. Apparently Hiei didn't want her to worry and make the rest of them frustrated with her honestly kind/concerned questions.

"Oh yeah, we never did come up with names for you to use," Yusuke stated, and started to remember what he wanted to suggest. Still not remembering, he at least stated, "Make sure they're real strong Japanese names, that mean something cool!"

"Why not name them after themselves? It'd be funny with a little kid named Hiei Jr.! I'd laugh my ass off every time saying that, but then again, one Hiei is enough," Kuwabara stated, and Yukina agreed about the Hiei Jr., but she thought it was cute.

"Why does it always have to be Japanese names that have meanings to them? Why can't it be English, Spanish, or Greek? Athena and Apollo are very nice names! As well as Aphrodite, Ares, Hades, Aristotle, Plato, and…" Botan started to babble. Soon the others started to contribute their opinions of what the names should be, and this led to a few arguments.

"Shut up! I already have the names I want to give my offspring. I will not name them *Hiei Jr.* or any of that sort," Hiei stated interrupting all of their squabbling. The others just quieted down, and decided to continue their wait.

Within the next hour, baby cries could be heard. A nurse then came out towards them, taking off her…his mask, and smiling very kindly.

"I'm nurse Maxwell [4]. I'll be the one informing you of each situation as it comes. Now so far, the operation is going as it should, and your friend has given birth to a baby boy. We saw the head of the other baby, and are trying to get that one. But don't worry, you won't have to wait much longer." With that said, the boy nurse with a braid walked off back into the emergency room.

"Well, so far so good! That's great, you have a son," Koenma congratulated the fire demon, but then wondered what the baby's youkai would be. Even though this was good news, a sudden sound of an alarm was heard, and more nurses seemed to rush into the room Kurama was in.

There was nothing they could do, but just wonder what was happening and wait. It wasn't long when they saw nurse Maxwell come out to inform them, "We got the other baby, who is a girl, but we ran into complications after we got her. I don't have details, but we think she accidentally caused a blood clot in your friend's body somewhere. Right now we're looking for it."

"What happens if you don't find it," Kayko and Yukina asked in concern.

"If we don't find it soon, he will die of internal bleeding. Now excuse me, I have to go," Maxwell stated sadly, and then rushed back into the room. All the girls gasped, and along with the guys, they looked towards Hiei. He had his elbows on his knees, and his forehead resting on his clasped hands. No one knew what to say, but just watch him shake slightly.

"Hey, if you want, you can see the babies in the baby room [5]," their nurse of news said interrupting the sad moment. They were a bit surprised at how quick he was to come back, but thankful. He had a note board with him, and inclined his head towards Hiei, "Can I assume you are the father?"

"Yes," the fire demon said, standing up, and surprising Maxwell in how short he was. Either way, only Hiei was being allowed to see the babies.

Once he saw his children, he realized why the nurse assumed he was the father. Both of them had black hair like him, as well as his face. The boy was sleeping so he couldn't see what eye color he had, but the girl had red eyes just like him.

"Your name sir, as well as your lover, and the ones you wish to give your children," he heard Maxwell ask him. Thinking quickly, he came up with a last name for himself, and soon stated, "My name is Hiei Minamino, and my lover's name is Shuuichi Minamino."

"And the names you want to give your children Mr. Minamino," Maxwell asked.

I couldn't help but leave a cliffhanger. Don't worry, you'll find out their names first thing in the next chapter.

[3] What they are referring to is the fanfic I wrote titled, "A Trowa Split." Read that one if you want to. I haven't written a sequel to it, which that is the one where they have their kids, but I'm not sure if I should write it.

[4] Nurse Maxwell is Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing.

[5] I don't know what they call these rooms in the hospital!
