It was always hard being the rational one in the group. Kurama flicked his tails and stared at the two fighting humans. Yusuke and Kuwabara had been at it for over an hour. It was time to put the mindless fighting to a stop.

Kurama changed back into his human form and gracefully jumped down from the tree. Yusuke was slamming Kuwabara's head into the pavement. Kuwabara shoved his fist into Yusuke's mouth. The punch would have knocked out a weaker man, but Yusuke was no normal human. He did not know the meaning of defeat.

He kicked Kuwabara in the stomach. "I told you that you can't win, jackass!"

Kuwabara collapsed to the ground, clutching his stomach.

"You bastard, this isn't over," he managed to get out before he slumped unconscious.

Yusuke thumbed his nose at him and smirked. His jaw smarted from one of Kuwabara's punches. His eye was a little swollen. His clothes were torn and filthy, but he had won the fight and that was what mattered.

"Well so much for my intervention," Kurama muttered. "You could have killed him, you know."

"Kuwabara is strong enough. I just don't let him win."

"How… kind of you," Kurama told him with a bit of sarcasm.

Kurama imagined that Kuwabara would have something to say about his kindness when he was conscious and as mad as a bull.

The thought brought with it certain awareness.

Someone from the spirit world had just arrived.

"It would seem that we have a visitor," he announced.

"Hmm?" Yusuke looked at him, confused.

A few minutes later, Botan appeared, took one look at the lifeless Kuwabara and shrieked, "Yusuke, you animal! You could have killed him!"

The blue haired pilot of the river of Styx knelt down beside Kuwabara and attempted to wake him. She was quite fond of the tall human. Yusuke's regular clashes with Kuwabara were starting to test her patience.

"Kuwabara? Kuwabara, wake up."

Yusuke told her, "Aw, leave him alone. He'll wake up when he's good and ready. Besides, I could use a break from his big mouth."

"Yusuke," Kurama warned. His remark had been insensitive. Surely, Urameshi knew that.

The human was smiling. He was amused with what had taken place between him and Kuwabara.

Kurama saw now that the unpredictable human took pleasure in taunting his opponents. No one would sway him from such callous behavior, not when he completely reveled in it.

"Someday you will meet your match Urameshi." Kurama told him.

"I doubt that that day will ever come."

*****

Hiei stood on the roof, watching the setting sun. Another day had come and gone. Another day with Yusuke Urameshi and the idiot Kuwabara. Another day of vanquishing demons and watching over helpless humans.

The wind blew ruffling Hiei's dark, spiky hair. The breeze carried with it a familiar scent, that of Kurama. Hiei closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. His groin stirred to life.

His precious Kurama did not realize how much control he had over him.

He released a sigh and crouched down.

Since taking Kurama, he had been plagued with constant arousal. He was surprised that Kurama had not turned him away each night, so often did he take his pleasure from the kitsune.

Tonight, he would have to tame his desires. A full moon would be out, and Kurama would be too drawn by its hypnotic effect to pay any attention to him.

The night would be his lover, and Hiei would be left alone with the detestable Urameshi.

*****

Kurama found him on top of the roof. The full moon illuminated the little fire demon, making him look much younger than he appeared.

Full moon, full moon, Kurama thought happily.

Hiei was lying down with his eyes closed, deep in thought. Kurama stood over him and smiled. Hiei was still brooding over his decision to stay on Earth.

"Are you going to stay up here all night?" he asked him.

"If it will keep Yusuke out of my sight, yes," Hiei answered.

Kurama smiled and tucked a lock of red hair behind his ear. "You don't mean that."

Hiei snorted in response.

"You just have to get to know him better."

"I know him enough."

Kurama sighed and looked out over the city. It was beautiful. There were lights everywhere. For the kitsune side of him, it was the perfect time to play.

Full moon, full moon.

"Let's go into the city," he suggested to Hiei.

Hiei sat up and grinned. "Feeling adventurous, Kurama?"

"It is a full moon. There will be others out tonight."

The others were creatures of Kurama's kind, kitsune. Hiei had never met a more inquisitive and genuinely sensual lot. They were quite active on Earth during the full moon. They ran about like children in a candy store, getting in as much excitement as deemed possible by their overly energized brains.

Hiei knew that Kurama would have more fun without him there, glowering over him. Hiei's idea of fun was crushing opponents with his power, not wandering around the city in search of adrenaline pumping fun.

"Go on, Kurama," he insisted.

"You're not coming with me?"

"Iie."

Kurama was disappointed and it showed.

"I am not in the mood for it," Hiei explained. "You should go, though. If you don't, you'll be bouncing off the walls."

Kurama did not want to leave Hiei, but what he had said was true. Even now, he was shifting from one foot to the other. His blood was racing. He wanted to run and to explore the city. He wanted to people watch and talk with some of his old friends.

The words, full moon, full moon, echoed in his head. Still, he was reluctant to leave his little lover.

"What will you do?"

"I will figure something out."

Kurama did not think that he would. He guessed that Hiei would stay on the roof just to avoid Yusuke. The thought made Kurama consider staying with his surly companion.

"You are not staying," Hiei told him.

"But Hiei -"

"The discussion is over." He stood, and jumped down to the ground, signaling the end of their conversation.

Kurama jumped down as well and gave Hiei a worried look.

"I would hate to think that you would defy me, Kurama."

Kurama reddened and shook his head.

Hiei caressed the kitsune's warm cheek and said, "Then go."

Kurama hesitated for a moment. Hiei gave him a smile of reassurance and he was off, the lure of the city calling him.

He transformed into his kitsune state and briefly wondered what his dark haired lover was going to do to pass the time. He could imagine that whatever it was, it would certainly not involve the volatile Yusuke Urameshi.

*****

Yusuke thumbed his nose at the glowering fire demon and let him into the house.

"What's your problem?" he asked him.

"Shut up, Urameshi."

"Hey, I don't have to take any lip from you! This is my house!"

"And where is your mother Urameshi? Is she off on another one of her drinking binges?"

Yusuke sputtered in outrage. Hiei strolled past him as if nothing had happened. He sat down by the chabudai and set his sword across its surface.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Yusuke questioned.

"I am hungry. Bring me something to eat."

"Get it yourself!" Yusuke yelled at him. "You've got some nerve!"

Hiei laughed.

Yusuke frowned at him. "What's so damn funny?"
Hiei ignored him and went into the kitchen to get his food. When he returned, Yusuke was studying his sword. When he sensed Hiei's presence, Yusuke quickly dropped the sword and glared at him.

Hiei sat down and quietly ate his meal.

"Where's your shadow, Suichi?"

"His name is Kurama."

"That's not what his mother called him."

"She is not his mother, you know that."

"She is," he muttered and continued to stare at Hiei.

Hiei finished the rest of his meal in relative peace.

It was when he had finished eating that Urameshi had truly decided to torment him.

He eased up beside him, sitting far too close.

"So, you and Kurama are seeing each other, huh? That must be pretty exciting, two demons going at it."

Hiei disregarded him.

"I've been wondering," Yusuke continued. "Just who is the uke in the relationship, you or Kurama?"

Hiei looked at him.

"It's got to be Kurama," he said. Yusuke arrogantly grabbed at the bulge in Hiei's trousers and grinned. "Yeah, I can imagine Kurama taking you on."

Hiei narrowed his gaze at the sly human and brushed his hand away. "Whatever you're up to, Urameshi you had better forget it."

Yusuke frowned and moved out of the fire demon's peripheral vision.

Hiei heard a zipper opening. He turned his head in Yusuke's direction and gasped as he saw what the human was doing.

Yusuke was lying on his back, his legs spread, knees bent, and feet flat on the carpet. His left hand was wrapped around his member. His right hand was caressing his inner thigh.

The detective's hair was tousled. He resembled a girl when his hair wasn't slicked back. He also appeared coy and sensual, less hostile.

Hiei's cock throbbed.

"Stop being so damn brave, Hiei," Yusuke told him. "You know that you want me. Here is your chance. Red's not around to disturb us."

"I can't. I won't betray Kurama."

"He's probably betraying you right now with some flea bitten fox."

"Don't you ever shut up?"
Yusuke answered, "No."

"You are infuriating!"

"I've been called a lot worse." He gave his member a stroke and lifted his hips off the floor.

Hiei's gaze lowered to Yusuke's pert little rear. Yusuke saw his action and smiled. He moved a hand down to his light brown bud and slid a finger around the shy slit.

Hiei clenched his fists, fighting his lust.

"You could be the first demon to have the great Yusuke Urameshi…"

Before Hiei knew what he was doing, he was on the human. He sealed his mouth with his, forcing his tongue into him.

Yusuke released his organ and wrapped his arms around Hiei's neck.

The little demon nestled between his legs. His compact body made the perfect fit.

"Mmmm…" Yusuke moaned into his mouth.

Hiei reached between their bodies and grabbed the spirit detective's cock. He gave the member a firm squeeze and felt a drop of precum moisten the tip.

Hiei pulled back and stared at the pearly wetness on his fingers. He lifted his hand to his mouth and tasted Yusuke's dew.

It was rich and sweet.

Hiei wanted more.

"I knew that I could win you over," Yusuke boasted and shoved Hiei on to his back. He quickly undid Hiei's trousers and grinned as the fire demon's member sprung free of its restraints.

"Well, well, well, Hiei. You're not small at all."

He lowered his mouth on to him.

Hiei inhaled sharply. The human's tongue wriggled against his shaft and darted across the soft sac beneath his hardness.

"You have done this before," Hiei accused him.

Yusuke did not deny his allegation. He simply concentrated on Hiei's rod as if the thing enthralled him.

Yes, Hiei saw that he loved what he was doing.

Hiei carefully adjusted himself until his head was aligned with Yusuke's own member. He wasted no time in taking the organ into his mouth, hungrily consuming it, causing Yusuke to moan.

The two struggled to make each other give up their release, but their wills were strong and their little match lasted for quite a while.

Hiei was surprised by Urameshi's resistance. He was even more determined to break the human.

Moments later, Yusuke released him from his mouth. "Take me, Hiei. Show me how much of a bad ass you are."

His words enflamed him.

Hiei pushed Yusuke on to his back and lifted the spirit detective's leg, placing it high upon the fire demon's shoulder. He entered the human in one plunge, jolting his entire body.

Yusuke released a sigh of satisfaction and bit his lip.

Hiei rocked into him, forging through the human's soft and supple flesh. He had never taken a human before, but discovered that they were no different from a demon in the physical aspect. Yusuke felt as delicate as Kurama, but his body lacked the scent of roses that constantly emanated from Hiei's demon lover.

The only other similarity between the two was that Hiei could feel Yusuke's spirit energy. It was thankfully dormant, ensuring that the human would not accidentally hurt Hiei with his oddly powerful energy.

The human moaned as Hiei strengthened his thrusts.

Hiei tested Yusuke's responses by changing the force of his strokes. Urameshi apparently preferred it when the fire demon gave him long, hard shoves.

Hiei instantly changed his strategy to accommodate the lusty human.

"Aaah!" Yusuke dug his fingers into Hiei's thighs. He ground his hips down to meet Hiei's thrusts.

"Is…is that all that you've got?" he taunted.

"Hmm…" Hiei doubled his thrusts and tightened his hold on the provoking Yusuke.

Using a small amount of his spirit energy, he channeled it into his cock. The spirit energy caused his member to lengthen and grow; seriously swelling Yusuke's overly stretched passage.

"Oooohh!"

Hiei smirked, "How's that, Urameshi? Is that good enough for you?"

Yusuke's eyes were hazy with passion. "Yes, oh god, yes!"

"Yes, it is good, isn't it? Have some more."

Hiei's shaft grew and grew.

"Oh! Oh! N-No more! Please!"

"Had enough?"

"Y-Yes!"

"That's too bad."

Hiei slammed into him, nearly tearing him asunder. Yusuke screamed to the rafters.

"Now we are getting somewhere." Hiei brutally took him, reveling in his cries. Yusuke closed his eyes and snaked a hand up Hiei's forearm.

"Hi-ei," his voice trembled. "I-I…love it!"

Hiei leaned forward and kissed Yusuke's panting lips. Yusuke was too riddled with sensations to return the kiss. The result was an open-mouthed kiss, still sensual in that Hiei had full access to Yusuke's soft and willing tongue. Hiei sucked the lithe appendage into his mouth.

"Mmmm…"

Yusuke buried his hand in Hiei's spiky black locks. He tugged on them a little too hard. Hiei growled and in a lightning quick move, managed to pin down Yusuke's arms behind his back. The dark haired human shuddered with excitement.

"This turns you on, Urameshi," Hiei realized.

"Maybe."

"There is no maybe. You like it rough."

"Okay, yes," he admitted.

"Is that why you're always so volatile to Kuwabara? You secretly want him to dominate you?"

"Kuwabara is an idiot," he claimed.

"But you want him."

Yusuke said nothing.

Hiei prompted his response by ramming into him.

"Aaah!"

"Confess, Urameshi."

"Hiei!"

"Confess!"

"Yes! I want Kuwabara!" he shouted and shuddered as he came from the force of Hiei's thrusts.

Hiei finally gave in, and plunged deep into the human's body, freeing his demon essence into the convulsing spirit detective.

Hiei fell off him.

Yusuke's ragged breath filled the air. His body was flushed pink.

"You bastard," he panted. "Don't expect this to ever happen again."

Hiei laughed. Urameshi had returned to his old annoying self.

"I expect you to keep to those words," Hiei told him.

Yusuke muttered an obscenity, turned over on his side, and fell asleep.

*****

Hiei felt someone else's presence in the room. He awakened and found the intruder sitting on the windowsill, his legs crossed at the knees. The scent of roses was in the room.

"Kurama."

"You've been busy koi," the kitsune said softly.

Hiei sat up and propped his forearm on his bent knee.

"It seems that I am not the only one that the full moon has an effect on." Kurama glanced at the sleeping Yusuke. "I never would have thought that the two of you…" his voice trailed off, revealing his surprise.

Hiei held out his hand to him.

Kurama went to him and embraced him. "Did he force you?" he asked.

Hiei chuckled and said, "Not in the way that you think."

"My poor Hiei." Kurama kissed him. "Did he at least make it enjoyable for you?"

"Kurama…" he flushed.

"What's wrong? Why are you embarrassed?"

Hiei ran his fingers through the kitsune's hair. He found a leaf.

Perhaps the kitsune had had too much fun tonight.

"Kurama, I did not want to betray you."

Kurama smiled and hugged him. "You didn't."

Hiei froze. "What do you mean?"

"You slept with Yusuke, but you love me. It doesn't matter. Besides, it is a full moon and strange things happen."

Hiei knew that Kurama was seeing things the kitsune way. Still, it made no excuse for his actions.

"Kurama, surely you must be angry with what I have done."

"Of course not."

That was strange. Why would he shrug it off so easily? Kurama was a very emotional person, and Hiei had imagined him shedding tears and cursing both he and Yusuke to hell, but his cheerful acceptance seemed…unusual.

A thought came to him.

"Kurama?"

"Hmm?"

"Did you meet anyone tonight?"

The kitsune was very silent.

"You did, didn't you?"

Kurama pulled back and looked up at him.

"It was the full moon," he offered lamely.

That explained the leaf in his hair.

Urameshi had been right.

Hiei let his anger subside. There was no reason to be angry when he himself had slept with Urameshi.

He wrapped his arms around Kurama and asked him, "So, who was he?"

"Another kitsune," Kurama answered. "I forget his name. We did not spend much time together."

Hiei swallowed past the lump in his throat. "Did you enjoy it, Kurama? Did he make it good for you?"

"It wasn't what I expected." He turned his green-eyed gaze up at him. "I prefer you, Hiei."

Hiei saw the truth in his eyes. Kurama loved him, and one night of betrayal by both of them had not changed his feelings.

"Kurama."

Kurama stood and pulled him to his feet. "Let's go to bed. We will start anew."

Hiei picked up his clothes and his sword and followed the rose scented kitsune.

He had the feeling that he would be following his dearly loved Kurama for the rest of his life.
