Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Thinking Of You ❯ Fun Fair Games ( Chapter 12 )
Thoughts of You
I talked you into going to an amusement park. I also conned Yusuke, Kuwa, Yukina, Keiko, and Shizuru into it. I thought it would be fun to hang with the gang for awhile. Then I could whisk you away to another fun experience. I planned the whole thing out. Amusement park, Water Park, and forest preserve. So the last one wasn't a park, so what? We met the gang outside of the park. Yusuke boldly proclaimed he would pay for everyone. Keiko smacked him. You cracked the tiniest of smiles. I held onto my broad grin. Keiko said they couldn't afford it with the baby on the way.
"At least let me pay for Hiei then," Yusuke said. He looked at me.
"Hiei is my guest, and I will pay for him," I told him.
"Aw come on Kurama. I can at least buy him a ticket," Yusuke argued back. I just smiled and shook my head.
"No Yusuke, this is my responsibility. I want to buy it for him, and he is my best friend," I countered. Yusuke looked at Hiei and he glared right back.
"Uh uh Kurama. I've made up my mind and I'm paying for Hiei's ticket," Yusuke proclaimed. And once again got smacked by Keiko.
"Just let him buy it Kurama," Keiko said. "Kuwabara, Yukina and Shizuru have already gone in. We'll be here all night if this doesn't end now."
"She's got a point," You said, startling all three of us. You gave us a glare that proclaimed "what?" "You know as well as I know that Yusuke has the head and brain of a very stubborn and stupid beast. He will never give in."
We stared at you. So many words. I don't think I had ever heard you say so many in a row. I looked at Yusuke and could tell he was thinking the same thing. I gave you one of my brightest grins.
"If that is what you want Yusuke. But I pay for all other expenses," I told him. He nodded in agreement.
"I just wanted to pay for his ticket. Not be his chauffer. That's your job. And I most certainly don't want to take over that," Yusuke said. Then received not only a smack from Keiko but a swift kick in the knee from you. I laughed and headed into the park.
"Let's get this over with," I heard you say to Yusuke before heading after me.
"Hey! Wait up Hiei!" Yusuke said. I laughed silently and got in the line. I approached the booth. The man gazed out at me.
"One please," I said. He winked at me.
"Sure thing sugar," he said. I twitched. Sometimes humans could be bastards. Well, even bigger bastards then they were already. At least when they bugged me. He passed the ticket through. "Six bucks sweetheart."
I handed him the money. And as a second thought said, "Thanks" in the lowest voice I could manage. The man`s eyes bugged out. I sniggered as I walked away. Yusuke, Keiko and you approached the booth.
"Three adults," Yusuke said, fishing in his wallet for the money.
"That kid ain't over 17," the man said. Yusuke looked at him, and then glanced at Hiei. You growled a slow painful death to the man.
"He's not a kid, and he's over 17," Yusuke replied. The man stared at him. I sniggered again. If that human wasn't careful, you'd give him the release of a lifetime.
"Prove it," the man replied. Yusuke nodded to you. You walked over to the booth.
"Give him the tickets and I will give you a swift death for calling me a kid, but I won't make it painless for calling my friend a female," you told him in your low, masculine voice. For the second time the man's eyes bugged out. The tickets came out swiftly. Yusuke gave him the money and the three of you came into the park. I couldn't stop laughing. You looked around the park. I moved behind you. You wobbled on your feet, I stopped you from falling. I held you up.
"So," Kuwabara blurted,"What should we do first?"
"I say we go on the Zipper," Yusuke said. He had the hugest grin on his face. I cringed. I hated that ride. I would rather go through all seven of the hells. The Zipper was like a roller coaster, I didn't go on them.
"Yeah, the Zipper," Kuwabara said. He looked at Yukina. I smiled. They were so cute. "What do you think Yukina?"
"Whatever you want is fine by me Kazuma," she said. You looked as though you were going to be sick. You really didn't like their relationship. I gently put my hand on your back.
"Let's go then!" he proclaimed to the world. He started off in a northerly direction with Yukina's hand in his. Yusuke and Keiko not far behind.
"Are you going on Kurama?" Shizuru asked. She had stars in her eyes. I knew that look; it was the look all Ningen females give me. The one with lust in their eyes. I looked down at you and you met my gaze.
"Only if Hiei goes on," I replied. You looked to the ground more than a little uncomfortable, I could tell.
"What do you think Hiei?" Shizuru asked as we started after the rest of the group. You looked at her with a puzzled look. She pointed off in the distance to a ride that had started up. It had little cages that humans sat in that spun along with the whole ride that moved. It didn't look like something done for pleasure, but more for torture.
"I don't know…" You replied. Shizuru looked you in the face.
"Don't tell me you're afraid," she intoned. You glared at her. I covered my mouth with my hand. Not only was I suppressing a giggle, I was hoping you wouldn't chop off her head.
"It's not that I'm afraid, it doesn't look that safe is all," You muttered. She took you by the arm and dragged you into the line for the ride, right behind Yusuke. "I'll ride with Yusuke, and you will ride with Kurama. Enjoy!"
I looked at you. It seemed that you liked this about as much as I did: not at all. I looked at the ride, more than a little nervous. Kuwa and Yukina got in. A few moments later Shizuru and Yusuke got in. Keiko shouted `have fun' to them. I gulped anxiously. They let the people out of the cage and you climbed in. I followed behind you. You just stared out of the cage. I reached over your lap, much to your agitation, and grabbed the belt, tightly securing us in. The ride started up. I bit my lower lip. I looked at you. You were nervous. Your eyes met mine and we grabbed hold of one another. The ride was over before I even knew it. We climbed out. I wasn't doing that again. You staggered off a bit. I followed slowly. You turned to look at me. You reached out and pushed back a strand of misplaced hair.
"Aw, how cute," Yusuke blurted. I blushed as you glared at him. "How about we do it again?"
"No!" both of us proclaimed at the same time. All of them laughed.
"Alright, we will go on this ride again and others like it and will meet up with you again in, say, a half hour at this spot," Yukina reasoned. I smiled at her knowingly.
"That sounds good," I told them. I look at you happily. What a beautiful opportunity to be alone. "We will meet you here in two hours. That way we can get together for lunch and you can go on more of your rides."
"Sounds good," Yusuke said. He wrapped his arm around Keiko's waist. "See you in two hours."
They left us. I nudged you. You glared back.
"Come on. We'll go play some games and go on safer rides," I told you. You followed as I lead you to one of the many stands for games. My favorite game: the one with precision water shooting. After that I'd take you on spinney rides, and have you win me many things by playing the games. I gave you a luminous smile.
"Two dollars to play," the lady running the game called out to passers-by. I smiled and sat down. You looked quizzically at the game. I smiled and patted the seat next to me. I set two dollars on top of my station and two atop yours. The woman took the money and tapped us in. You sat and faced the target.
"It's really very simple Hiei," I began to explain. "You shoot the water by pressing these two buttons and you aim at the target. The target will move."
"Hn," was your reply. I sighed. Maybe I wouldn't get more than a one syllable response out of you. The woman tapped in three more people that made seven, two were already sitting when we had come.
"Alright…" the woman began to explain. I tuned her out and focused on the target. You were paying attention to the woman. "Remember, the big prizes are up for grabs. Begin!"
The water shot out of my gun, hitting the target straight in the bull's eye. I followed every movement, perfectly. A bell sounded, signifying the end of the game. I glanced up to see who had won, it was me. I smiled. You scowled at me slightly, you hate loosing.
"What's your choice?" she asked. I pointed to a red dragon hanging on the wall. She went over and plucked it from the wall, handing me the stuffed animal. I smiled and thanked her. I turned around fully expecting to go on to the next game, but you pulled on my shirt.
"Give me money," you intoned. I smiled and clucked my tongue. "I want to win."
"And I want to go to a different game," I told you.
"I want to win first," you said stubbornly. I smiled and fished in my pocket for the money. I handed him the two dollars. I settled to standing behind you to watch.

"So, what do you think?" Yusuke asked Keiko as Kuwa, Shizuru, and Yukina jumped on yet another ride. Keiko pondered the question for awhile before answering.
"I think Hiei' they'll get together," Keiko replied in all earnestness. She looked in Yusuke's eyes. He tried to smile; it came out as only a crack of a smile.
"I sure hope they do."

"Aren't Kurama and Hiei the cutest couple?" Yukina burst out. Kuwa and Shizuru looked at the ice apparition funny. "What?"
"I don't think they're together Yukina," Shizuru commented and moved away from the group.
"At least not yet," Kuwa said. Yukina smile at him.
"I just know they'll be ever so happy when they do," Yukina chirped. Kuwa smiled brightly.
"It'll be good for both of them," Kuwa commented.

You had won at every game the second time in trying. I was now holding six rather large stuffed animals, and I had four fish. We walked back to where we were to meet the others. They laughed as they caught sight of us. You glowered in their general direction, and I gave them the brightest smile I could produce. This was going to be fun.
"Look what Hiei won for me!" I happily called out to them. You blushed intensely. I smiled; this was worth any punishment you could dish.
"Ha ha shrimp!" Kuwabara laughed. You were steaming, almost literally. You seemed to realize you were holding four goldfish in four bags.
"Stupid fox," you growled. You started walking away. I panicked and grabbed you, with all the stuffies.
"I was only teasing!" I said. I pleaded with my eyes for you to stay. You shuffled your feet and muttered something incoherent. I gave you the biggest hug I could considering. You yelped and jumped out of my grasp. They laughed again.
"You know what we could do after lunch?" Keiko said to the group as we headed to one of the many vendors. "We spotted a Karaoke tent off by one of the exits. We could do that!"
Yusuke and Kuwabara groaned. You turned to me to ask what it was, but decided not to when you saw that mischievous look in my eyes. You backed up slowly to where Kuwabara and Yusuke were standing.
"That's a great idea!" I exclaimed. The three of you rolled your eyes and made for your escape. Only to be surrounded by Yukina, Shizuru, Keiko and me. This could be even more fun than having you win me stuffies and goldfish.
Tell me what you think of this so far. Also tell me if I should continue it, or go back to what I was doing previously. Let me know what you want me to do to Hiei after the dinner (mentioned in "Lunch With Mother"). In general let me know what you think! ^_^
