Time and Space
Part V: Joy Run
Shuuichi grumbled curses. If his mother heard him he imagined that she'd be standing there with one of the household cleaners about to beat him down. So he stopped and just calmed down. Apparently his plans for sabotage didn't really work against the kitsune because he was smarter than he thought he'd be after being with the kitsune for all his life. He fell in step behind the fox demon. He had no choice since he had nowhere else to go and he never really did pay attention when they traveled in the Makai. Besides this was the past. It didn't matter if he knew where to go it would probably be different. A lot can change in hundreds of years.
He wondered why he was following the kitsune. But then his mind argued that he was the only demon known in this time besides the three demon lords. None of them would even acknowledge him anyways. Maybe he should separate from Kurama and go separately? Besides it's not like he's being watched. So, Shuuichi quietly tiptoed off course. Before he could get very far…he 'eeped' as arms encircled him from behind, preventing him from going further. A hot breath blew down his neck making him shiver in delight or fear? He didn't know.
"Where do you think you're going?" the husky voice of the fox demon sounded through his ears. He suppressed the urge to moan. Instead he answered,
"Nowhere. I was just trying to find a place to rest."
"Hm… You're lying. You're not trying to avoid me now are you?"
"N-no, I wasn't."
"It's impossible to lie to me ningen," Kurama said nuzzling Shuuichi's neck making him even more uncomfortable. Shuuichi struggled for all he's worth trying to get out of the kitsune's grip. Damn how could the tables turn so fast?
"You know, I haven't done this in a while." Shuuichi immediately tensed up as he felt those slender fingers trail down his chest and began to unbutton his school uniform. He hated that dreadful uniform but right now he didn't have anything else.
"He-hey stop that," he said trying to get out of the demons grip and avoid more of the buttons to be undone. Of course that didn't help at all. Struggling just made it worse as he was pinned to the ground on his back. Kurama was hovering over him. But something was off. This wasn't Kurama either from this time or it isn't him at all.
"Having fun without me, Shuuichi?" the demon whispered in his ear. Shuuichi was wondering why the demon was saying that when he's the one who initiated it. A few seconds later he realized…
He never gave the fox demon his name.

Back in the present time…
Yuusuke was having trouble following something. First of all Kurama was giving them all these stupid riddles. Second…Kurama keeps stealing from the vault and wasting time because he has to come back and get it. He cursed Koenma for making him go on these stupid treasure hunts and Kurama for being the cause of the first and second. He went straight to Genkai's temple and knocked in the room Kurama was staying in. At first he got no answer. Second…still no answer. Third…he was fed up and went in ready to give the kitsune an earful but refrained from doing so as he looked at the sleeping demon.
Okay Yuusuke found that weird. There weren't many things that he found weird but this was one since the demon never heard him knock. Sure enough the item was there next to Kurama but he had his hand on it. The fact that the mirror seemed to be swirling with colors meant that the kitsune was using it. Which meant something bad could happen if he just took it. So he decided to just leave it be. He'll just focus on something more important like trying to find a way to get Shuuichi back and not let the stuff happen like the kitsune predicts. He wished time traveling wasn't invented.
What he didn't notice was a smirk curved on the kitsune's lips.

In the past…
Shuuichi immediately retaliated! This was just way too much for him. Again retaliating is useless since the fox demon is stronger than him but you have to give him credit from trying. After a while his hands were pinned and he was still trapped under Kurama's form. He cursed the demon for even being here.
"Let go of me you sick minded freak!" Shuuichi said still fighting to break free. He gulped, as the kitsune's face was just an inch from his. That smirk ever so planted on Yoko's face. Damn it was giving him the chills. "Can you let go now?" Shuuichi asked politely.
"You should know by now that if I like something I always get it." Kurama responded leaning in closer. Shuuichi vainly kept pushing him away. Soon the kitsune swooped down and gave him a kiss. Shuuichi froze in shock and gasped leaving the perfect time for Kurama to slip his tongue in his mouth. Shuuichi came back to his senses and bit on the fox's tongue making the demon pull away. He glared at him.
"Well living in your head for the past sixteen years I thought I knew you well by now," Kurama commented and stood up taking Shuuichi with him.
"What kind of game are you playing Kurama?!" Shuuichi exclaimed in anger. Who could blame him? He was in the Makai but the past and the only companion was a thieving, perverted youko. This wasn't one of his best days. The yoko looked at him with an amused smirk on his face. Shuuichi gulped, he never did like that smirk it usually meant something bad for him.
"You know I don't like games but if you insist I can think of a few," Kurama said leaning closer. Shuuichi just laughed sheepishly before shaking his head. There isn't a game he would wish to play with Kurama. It was always something uncomfortable. He breathes a sigh of relief as the kitsune backed off and began to look around.
Immediately he was grabbed by the wrist and was being dragged into the forest. Kurama was running so he had to run and this was not his strong suit. It was Kurama's specialty. Right now since Kurama picked up the speed he had to run his hardest. And he was getting tired. But he had to keep up. After what seemed like twenty miles he breathed a sigh of relief as they stopped somewhere. They ended up in a cave. Obviously one of Kurama's little hideouts throughout the Makai.
Shuuichi leaned against the wall and sat down. He was so tired that he could barely move. How he was able to survive that it was surprisingly very unusual. Quickly resting to catch up his breath he was finally able to speak.
"Did you have to go that fast?" Shuuichi asked absentmindedly.
"Did you want to be caught by those demons who attacked just recently a few centuries forward?" Kurama answered with one of his own.
"Dammit, can't you answer with an answer not a question?"
Shuuichi picked up a spared rock and threw it on the kitsune's direction hitting the demon right in the temple. Kurama's ear twitched. Shuuichi couldn't tell if it was annoyance or anger. He figured both. Well he couldn't help it if Kurama got mad. It wasn't his problem to deal with, although he probably is the cause of the problem. He shrugged. Suddenly hands were prepared to choke him. The kitsune's eyes bore into his with anger maybe it was annoyance, but he couldn't tell.
"I took over my own body here making myself vulnerable in the future to bring you back. Now if you want to go out there and die, I'm not stopping you," Kurama stated while tightening his grip a bit to the point of actually choking him, "Go ahead and worry your mother, that's fine with me."
Shuuichi tried to pry the hands away from his neck as he was beginning to lack air and oxygen. He could tell Kurama had no intention to let go or even realized what he was doing. Until Shuuichi felt the burn in his lungs, he actually struggled to free himself even if it seemed hopeless. Kurama just realized what he was doing and left go giving the redhead his much needed oxygen. He stood up and walked over to the fire while preparing some leaf beds for them to sleep in for the night. When Shuuichi gained his breathing back he glared hatefully at the kitsune and tackled him from behind.
Yoko cursed as he was pinned down lying on his stomach while the redhead straddled his back holding him down. It was for revenge for a bit. As much as he hated to burst the redhead's bubble he quickly switched their positions where he was on top pinning the redhead down on his back. The kid was really being stubborn, not that he wasn't before.
"Stubborn brat. You know you can't match up against me."
"Wanna bet?"
"Dammit, do you wanna die?"
"No, you just seem to see it that way."
"Stop being a smart-ass."
"Can't, it's in my nature."
"One more word and I'll…"
"You'll what, kill-"
Yoko crushed his lips onto Shuuichi's.
