CYOA: Towards the horizon… Chapter: 12: Of all of the places to visit, why Alaska?

PRK: Sorry for not updating yesterday… *bows* So in exchange for it, I'm going to put up 4 new chapters today? Good, yes? Now for the disclaimer than on with the fic!!!

Sesshomaru: Why can't you do your own stupid disclaimers? Lazy onna… Jolene owns absolutely nothing. There, ya happy now?

"I'm a water kitsune!" Jonmi said happily as she continued to stare unfazed into Hiei's red eyes.

"I'm a neko. And Vincent is a human, but with transforming powers. (A/N No not like Transformers Armada. He can change into animals and stuff, right Haley? I think, you didn't say he was a demon did you, Haley? Eri=Haley) Eri said as she continued to eat her salad. (A/N Eri is a vegetarian. I know, I know, how unlike a cat demon. But just eats bunny food as I like to call it.)

"I'm a half human half battle demon. And Kuwabaka over here, is fully human, if not a little bit of alien mixed in there." Yusuke said as Kuwabara started to punch him, that was until Yusuke knocked him out.

"In that case, I'm a plant kitsune, and Hiei over here is a half fire koorime half ice apparition." Kurama finished the introductions as Hiei just said his usual, `Hn.' "And what kind of demon are you, ______?"

"I'm a neko demon." You answered turning to look at Kurama only to find your face centimeters away from his. Blushing, you quickly turned away again.

Kurama's face lit up with a slight blush as Yusuke continued his ranting. "Koenma was all like, `Well Heroes I have another pitiful mission for you wonderful beings.' And I was like, `Can't there ever be anyone as strong as us?' And he was like-" Yusuke was cut off as Hiei's hand reached across the table to hold his mouth closed.

"Idiot. It wasn't anything like that. You're such a baka you can't even remember a meeting we had just yesterday. Pathetic." Hiei said as he let go of his hold on Yusuke and sat back down.

"Well, shorty, if you can remember better than me why don't you tell the story?" Yusuke said as he received an evil glare from Hiei at the `shorty' part.

"Fine. I just will." Hiei replied as he started to tell them the story.

*~Yesterday, Spirit World, Koenma's office~*

Yusuke and Kuwabara were late for the meeting, again. Hiei and Kurama talked about whether or not they would have to go and fetch them when they burst in.

"What's it now `Pacifier-breath'? Another evil, bloodthirsty villain to destroy? More power hungry humans hosting another dark tournament? Or is it-" Yusuke was cut off as Botan whacked him upside the head to shut up.

"Ahem. Thank you, Botan. Yusuke, don't ever call me pacifier-breath again, got it? Good, now on the screen behind me you can see the ever popular polar region of the United States." Koenma sarcastically stated as a picture of a snow covered Anchorage covered the screen.

"And your point is?" Yusuke said as he rudely shoved Koenma out of his chair to sit down. "Awwww. My back's been killing me lately and this chair is really soft, ya know that?" Yusuke said as he settled into the cushy armchair as he watched Koenma's face get red.

"GET OUT OF MY CHAIR!!!" A teenage Koenma pulled Yusuke suddenly out of the chair. "AND STOP INTERRUPTING ME!!!" Koenma yelled as he threw Yusuke across the room and into the giant trash can George was just wheeling in. "Now as I was saying." Koenma calmly said as sat back down in his chair in his toddler form. "This is a picture of Anchorage, Alaska. We have reason to believe that there is a gang there that is causing citizens much trouble."

"Yeah, gangs normally cause trouble. What's the big deal with this one?" Yusuke asked as he pulled himself out of the garbage can and dusted himself off.

"Well, if you'd quit interrupting me I could tell you! Okay, this is not your average run of the mill gang. It's a gang comprised of demons and apparitions. They appear to be sucking out the souls of children and young adults in the area and selling them on the demon black market." Koenma continued as he scolded Yusuke.

"Demon black market? You guys actually have your own black market? Wow!

Say what exactly do demons sell on this market?" Kuwabara stupidly asked as Yusuke clobbered him in the back of the head.

"YOU BAKA!!! THEY SELL SOULS AND EVERYTHING ELSE ILLEGAL IN SPIRIT WORLD AND MAKAI!!!!" Yusuke continued hitting Kuwabara with every word.

"Ummm… Yes, now continuing on. There is also some very strong spirit energy coming from this building here." Koenma said as a picture of your school flashed on the screen. "We have reason to believe that there are demons attending this school that belong in the gang. Also, there is a very high amount of good spirit energy coming from here, too. We suspect that there is either, good demons or spirit detectives there. But, we have no spirit detectives registered for that area. Which is why you'll be going there tomorrow."

"TOMORROW??? I can't go tomorrow! I promised Kayko I would go to the movies with her!" Yusuke complained, as usual, about going on a mission.

"Well, it will just have to wait until you get back. You'll be posing as exchange students and have a nice trip. Now get packing and head to Yusuke's house, tomorrow." Koenma ordered as they all went home and packed for their trip.

*~End of mission conference~*

"That definitely sounds like an entirely different story." You said as you looked over at Yusuke only to find him losing at a staring contest with Hiei.

"Hey Yusuke, you can stay at Vincent's house. Can't he Vincent?" Eri asked as she turned towards Vincent only to see him slightly nod at her. "Great than meet us outside the front doors after school, okay?" Yusuke nodded as he continued to try to win Hiei at the staring contest.

"Hiei, um… you can stay at my house, okay? Except, don't mention you're a demon around my human parents, okay?" Jonmi suggested as you saw Hiei give a nod as Yusuke finally lost the competition.

"Where am I gonna stay?" Kuwabara asked as he turned to look at you. "_____, can I stay with you?"

"NO!!! I mean, I only have a two-bedroom apartment and it's going to already be crowded since Kurama's staying with me, and my second bedroom is occupied as a storage room. Ask somebody else." You quickly make an excuse even though everyone knows you have a 5-bedroom house.

"Okay, how about you Jonmi?" Kuwabara asked as he turned toward Jonmi.

"Sorry, I can only have one exchange student staying at my house at one time." Jonmi made up a stupid rule so Kuwabara couldn't stay with her.

"Eri?" A shake of her head answered his question. "Vincent?" A vicious glare from Vincent and a vigorously shaking head of Eri's denied his question as well. "Then whom can I stay with?"

"Find some geeky nerd, or something." You suggested as you stood to throw away your trash from your lunch. "We better get going you guys, we only have 3 minutes until the next class starts." Everyone stood up and followed as Kuwabara tried asking one of the cheerleaders to let him stay with them. Unfortunately, it didn't work.
