"Thank you for the review!" Beth glomps the reviewer and gives him/her cookies. "You are the best!"
"Let's move on with the story." Hiei urges, not really having the patience for Beth's craziness.
"My, my," Beth smirks. "For someone who hates this story, you sure are eager to continue."
Hiei "hns" and turns away.
"Well, like he said, let's move on. Seto, the disclaimer?"
"Beth does not own Yu Yu Hakusho or myself, thank Heavens." Seto glares at Beth.
"Boy, I wish I did, though...." Beth says, scuffling her foot on the floor.

*****Hiei's POV*****
It's been three months since Kurama broke the "joyful" news to me. I'm not really thrilled, but at the same time, I'm really quite anxious. In my past, I never cared much for children, and the thought of having some of my own never crossed my mind. I guess the female side of me is acting up in my excitement over the children. I hope I don't get all moody like some women do.
Kurama told Mukuro about my condition. According to him, she says that I can take as much time off as I need. She's got enough body guards to protect her. She does send her love, though. I twitch slightly at this.
In the past months, I've been staying with Kurama. He's sort of taken me under his wing now. The human mother knows that I'm staying here. I'm not sure weather Kurama has told her about my condition yet or not. Well, she'll find out sooner or later. The fox has also laid out some strict rules for me to follow:
1. No more sleeping in trees. I am to stay on the fold-out bed that's in his closet. He's afraid that I could fall from the tree and injure myself or the children.
2. I'm to stay with him until this whole thing is over. I think Kurama worries to much, personally.
3. I am not to handle any weapon. Kurama says that it may influence the children to be violent. Well, they are my children, after all. The demon blood inside them will make them a little on the rough side, I'm sure.
4. I'm to read up on baby care. When I was watching television yesterday (I think Shiori is right when she says that it rots your brain), the kitsune plopped about a dozen magazines on my lap and turned the TV off. He says he wants me to read the magazines multiple times, and learn the proper care for children. He also insists that I take a mother/child class in my second trimester. This makes me cringe a bit for reasons that I choose to keep disclosed.
I've experienced a bit of what Kurama calls "morning sickness", a torturing act in which I wake up at un-Godly hours in the morning and throw up a lot. It's not like I've never vomited before, but it's very unpleasant all the same. I'm just glad it won't last all that long.
Along with all this, I know that my abdomen is going to continue to grow. It already shows a bit, but no one can really tell when I've got my somewhat baggy shirt on. Kurama says that I can borrow some of his mother's maternity shirts (from when she was pregnant with him) when I grow out of my own clothes.
I'm going to hate the next six months with a passion.
*****End Hiei's POV*****
Kurama stepped into the room and saw Hiei sitting on the window sill, probably lost in his own thoughts.
"How are you feeling this morning, Hiei?"
"I'm fine."
"Are you ready?"
Hiei turned to look at the fox. "What do you mean?"
Kurama sighed. "Don't tell me you forgot already. I told you last week that I made you a doctor's appointment for today. We're leaving now."
Hiei growled lowly. "Kurama, you know how I hate doctors and medical things."
Kurama put the fold-out bed back in the closet. "It's the only way to insure that your children will be born healthy. I don't want to take any chances."
Hiei rolled his eyes. "Fox, did anyone ever tell you that you worry entirely too much about your friends?" He then felt himself being carried bridal style off the window sill.
"Let's leave, Hiei." With that, Kurama carried the flailing fire youkai into the car.
****At the doctor's office****
Hiei sat on the examining table, arms folded over his chest and a pout on his face. He was dressed in a very ugly blue gown, and feeling very cold and vulnerable. A feeling, I assure you, he didn't like. What made Hiei feel slightly better was that Kurama was sitting only a few feet away from him. Although he would never admit it, having Kurama there really helped ease his mind.
The door handle turned and a female doctor entered the room. She smiled at the two. "Good morning, boys. I'm Dr. Shuichiro."
She took a glance at her chart. "So, you're Hiei, huh?" She sat down in a chair beside Hiei, and took out a pen from her pocket.
"I'm gonna need you to answer a few questions, okay?"
"Hn."
"What's your full name?"
"Hiei....Jaganshi." That was the last name he had grown accustomed to. Of course, he had no idea what his real surname was, or if he even had one in the first place. 'Jaganshi' meant 'those with a third eye', so he felt that it fit him in a way.
Dr. Shuichiro scribbled it down on her clipboard. "Date of birth?"
"I...don't know..."
The woman stole a glance at him, but wrote it down anyway. "What's your age?"
Hiei looked at Kurama, who gave him a knowing glance before mouthing "seventeen."
"Seventeen."
Shuichiro nodded and wrote it down.
After a few more questions, she finally put her clipboard down.
"Okay, Hiei. Now, your friend..." She nodded to Kurama, "talked to me on the phone last week about your condition. I understand perfectly. I was once a doctor in the Makai, you know."
Hiei looked at her, surprised.
"It's a long story." She smiled, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Today, I'm just going to give you a check-up to make sure everything's all right."
Hiei nodded, sighing heavily.
"I'm gonna need you to lay back, Hiei. Just relax, okay?"
The youkai did as he was told. He cringed and tightened up when he felt an instrument go inside him. The small demon took a sharp intake of breath from the slight pain.
Kurama came to Hiei's side. He put his hand on Hiei's. "Hang in there."
Hiei cringed again, but tried his best to relax, taking deep breaths.
"What are you doing, anyway?" Hiei asked with a tinge of annoyance.
"Just checking things out."
"How will this child be born?" Kurama asked, curious.
"With male demons, it's usally though the anus." She explained. "The birthing process is the same as it is for a woman, though. Hiei will still go into labor, and experience contractions, but it will be the anus that dilates instead of the cervix."
Hiei winced. That made him feel soooo much better.
****In the car after the doctor's appointment...****
Hiei leaned against the car door, still a bit flushed from the appointment. It had embarrassed him to no end, and he felt very violated.
"Kurama?" The tiny youkai spoke.
"Hm?"
"Are you going to be with me through this?" Hiei wasn't sure weather Kurama would still want to be seen with him. After all, it would be pretty uncomfortable to be seen walking through the streets with a pregnant man beside you.
Kurama took his eyes off the road to look at his friend. "Of course I am." He soothed. "I wouldn't leave you for anything in the world, Hiei."
"....Thank you..."
"You're most welcome." Kurama patted Hiei's shoulder.
Hiei didn't speak again until a few moments later, when they were almost home.
"Kurama, I'm reconsidering something."
"Hmmm?"
"It's about where I'm going to have my children." Hiei shifted uncomfortably.
Kurama gripped the wheel a little tighter and shifted his eyes. He didn't like where this was going.
"...I think I want to have a home delivery."
Now, emergency stops don't come much better than the one Kurama just pulled. Hiei's head connected with the passenger window with a light 'thump' as the car screeched to a sudden halt. One could figure that the skid marks went on for about six yards. Rubbing his sore cranium, Hiei spun around to his friend who had almost killed him.
"Fox, what the hell?"
Kurama was staring at Hiei with alarm. "...What did you say?"
"I said...I want to have my children at Genkai's temple; not a hospital."
"Hiei, do you have grasp that you could be putting yourself and the children at risk? What if something went wrong during the birth?"
"I'm willing to take that chance. I think Genkai can handle it."
Kurama looked thoughtful for a moment, then sighed. "So be it."
"Can we get back home now? I'm hungry." Hiei complained.
Kurama gave a small smile. "Okay..."
****A few hours later, at Kurama's house...****
Kurama stood at the stove, stirring a pot of spaghetti and humming lightly. He heard someone wander into the kitchen, and turned to see Hiei headed for the refrigerator.
"We're having spaghetti, Hiei. Do you want some?"
"No, thanks." Hiei said, scanning the inside of the refrigerator. "Tonight I crave something...different..."
Kurama gave the Jaganshi a look when he said "different", but resumed his stirring.
"Just what are you planning on making, pray tell?"
Hiei pulled two containers out of the refrigerator and went into the silverware drawer for a knife. This made Kurama flinch a bit. He didn't feel much better when he saw the two objects Hiei had brought out: Pizza and strawberry jelly.
"Hiei...what on earth are you creating?" The fox asked, utterly baffled. There were only so many ways one could combine strawberry jam and frozen pizza.
Hiei merely plucked a slice of cold pizza from the box and laid it on a plate. He then opened the jar of jelly and used the knife to scoop some out-
-and spread it onto the pizza.
Kurama blanched. He felt his insides lurch when Hiei took a bite and swallowed it with a satisfied smile.
"If you need me, you know where to find me." The fire youkai said as he made his way back upstairs to Kurama's room, leaving the poor kitsune in aghast.
"...I'm never getting married..." Kurama mumbled as he turned back to the (now almost burning) pot of spaghetti.

"YAY!" Beth cheers, leaping about two feet in the air. "All written in one night!"
"Incredible." Seto shakes his head.
Hiei blanches. "Gross..."
"Credit for the pizza idea goes to Pizza Hut." Beth says, a bright smile on her face. "My family ordered a pizza tonight, and I was just staring at a slice for awhile, when the thought popped into my head. How? Why? I dunno."
Hiei anime falls. "That is just SICK."
"Well, as we all know, I'm not a normal human being."
"Maybe we should dare you to try some of that, Hiei." Seto teases the half koorime.
"I don't think so!" Hiei yells back.
"Then I guess you just don't like to try new things." Seto shrugs. "You're afraid to."
This finally gets to Hiei. "Fine!" He stalks off toward the kitchen, Seto following.
Beth shakes her head. "Review, please, whileI go make sure that Hiei doesn't get sick. Peace out, everyone!"
