Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Trapped between two girls. ❯ Off to a new place... ( Chapter 13 )
Kitty's eyes were wide with surprise as she looked at Koenma sitting at his desk with his hands clamped tightly over his ears.
`What the…what does this toddler think he is doing?' Kitty was glaring at Koenma as the rest of the group regained their composure.
"Uh, Kitty?" Kuwabara asked as he watched her glare.
Kitty stayed silent as Koenma continued to speak, "You will be expected to be packed by this afternoon and ready to return with Kurama to his own home, there will be no exceptions." Kitty went to go open her mouth and say something to him but he only shushed her up by continuing his little speech. "What ever you are not packed will be sent to you when there is time so I suggest that you get packing." And with he shuffled papers on his desk.
Kitty stood there in silence looking at him as a little voice in the back of her head told her that it wouldn't be all that bad. It said that despite what she continued to think, she really and truly thought that the red headed guy, Kurama, was actually rather cute. Kurama looked over at Kitty, as did Heather.
`Why me? Why not Yusuke or Kuwabara? Or she could possibly stay at Genkai's' Kurama shrugged to himself as a lingering voice, known as Youko, was speaking to him, telling him that good things could come out of this `arrangement'.
"So Kitty…would you like some help packing?" Yusuke asked trying to sound friendly.
"Yeah `cause you know we can help…" Kuwabara started but his voice faded out as Kitty silently walked out of the room letting the door slam, unintentionally, behind her.
"Kitty! Wait!" Heather called after her but a hand rested in her arm and she spun around to see Hiei standing there shaking his head slightly.
"Leave the onna alone, she needs her space." He stated in a monotone voice.
"But she seems mad…" Heather said looking back at the door.
"Precisely the reason that she needs her space…" With the Hiei let go of her arm and they all looked at Koenma who was still going on about his business.
Kitty was walking down the hall to where her room was. As soon as she got there she walked in shut the door and began to pack the belongings that she had only just recently unpacked the day before.
`Why can't Heather stay with me? Why do I have to go and live with a stranger? What is this toddlers deal that he has to one, capture us and practically hold us hostage, and then two, separate us to two different places?' She was thinking to her self as she began to set all her belongings onto the nicely made bed.
While packing up her belongings she put her CD from yesterday back on, too lazy to change it at the moment, and continued to pack up.
`I mean it's not like we are just going to try and escape, if we do he will have us hunted down like trapped animals, for a reason that I don't know! Why the hell can't he just tell us why he wants us here, I mean is it that bad?' Kitty started to sing along in to the music trying to calm down her nerves and rambling thoughts. The frustration was staring to get to her as she glanced up at the clock on the wall off to the side. There was only about an hour left until she was going to be taken away from her friend.
After about forty-five more minuets all of Kitty's belongings where back in her backpack as she flopped down on the bed. The music was still playing from her repeating songs over and over again as they passed through the air. She had calmed her thoughts down the more she packed and got lost in the sounds that pulsed through the air and by now she was completely bored from everything.
"Now what to do…I have fifteen more minuets…" After a while of thinking, she glanced at the clock to see that she had wasted five of those minuets and got up from her lounging position and turned the music off. She took the CD out and put it with the rest of her CD's, threw her bag over her shoulder, and headed out of her room, leaving the door open.
"Might as well just get this over with…" Kitty mumbled to herself as she went down the hall and then opened the doors to Koenma's office again and looked in to see Koenma and Kurama in the room, Koenma at his desk and Kurama was standing beside the desk. They were engaged in a conversation but as soon as Kitty had opened the door, the sound of their voices had stopped and they were looking at her.
"Ah, I see that you are packed, good, I suppose then the two of you will be off." Koenma stated as he looked at Kurama who was looking at her.
"Yes, you will be staying in the guest room at my house." Kurama said to her as he walked over beside her and, like the gentle man he is, he took her bags and looked at Koenma. "May you open the portal?"
"Oh yes, yes here!" Koenma said and a portal opened right beside them. The two of them both jumped into the portal as Koenma bid them good-bye.
With in a few seconds they both landed in front of a house that had wonderfully grown and well taken care of gardens and trees. The sun was shining through the gray clouds that were lingering in the sky.
"So…Kurama, this is where you live?" Kitty asked as the two of them began to walk to the front door.
"Yes." He said shifting the strap of her bag so that it was more comfortable on his shoulder.
"By yourself?" She asked looking at him. `If so…' Kitty shrugged off the images that happened to be popping in her head. `Alright if I get those images again, remind myself to slap myself…'
"No, my mother is here…" He said as he opened the unlocked door and walked in only to be greeted by the sound of a kind voice.
"Shuichi (sp some one tell me in a review because I can not remember for the life of me ><;;;)is that you?" Kitty looked up just in time to side a lady's head pop out of one of the rooms and peer through the door way.
"Yes Mother, it's me." Kurama replied with a kind, loving smile and a voice to match it.
"Hello!" She said to her son and then looked at Kitty. "And who is this beautiful girl that you have with you?" She asked and a small blush happened to appear on Kitty's face. Kurama looked at her, smiling more at her blush, and then to his Mother.
"This is Kitty, she will be staying with us for a while…" he replied.
