Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Untitled ❯ Hiei's Problem ( Chapter 9 )
In the Demon World, Hiei opened his eyes and felt confused. He had fallen asleep in a tree, as he was going through the Ningenkai, and this was definitely not the Ningenkai!
He stood up, and tried to walk over to a door he saw on the other side of the room, but before he had walked three feet, something yanked on his ankles and he almost fell. He growled and looked behind him. There were chains holding him.
Where am I? Hiei thought, tugging on the chains, a little annoyed.
“Welcome, little fire demon, I thought you would never wake up,” he heard a voice say.
“Hn.”
Karasu entered the room. He was wearing his mask but Hiei could tell he was grinning.
“I wonder if your friends miss you, my little fire demon.”
Hiei growled. “What did you do to them?!” he asked angrily.
Karasu laughed. “I didn’t do anything,” he said. “They just don’t seem to miss you at all.”
“What do you mean?” Hiei asked warily. “I know at least the fox would care.”
“No, not even my kitsune cares, Hiei,” Karasu said softly.
“Prove it!” Hiei snarled, tugging at the chains.
Karasu shrugged.
“As you wish,” he said, and snapped.
A small screen came out of the ground, and a picture was put on the screen. Hiei could see the Spirit Detective, the stupid oaf, and the fox sitting in Kuwabara’s room.
“So, now what do you want to do, now that Hiei’s gone?” he heard Yusuke say.
Kuwabara shrugged. “I don’t know, I kinda liked goin’ at it with him.”
“What about you, Kurama?” Yusuke asked, grinning.
Kurama shrugged.
“Don’t you miss him?” Kuwabara asked. Hiei knew he would not like what he would hear next.
“…No, Kuwabara, I don’t think I do.”
Hiei went through a rapid shift of, sadness, anger, and hatred. And not just for his teammates, but the evil demon standing before him as well.
Karasu smiled. That movie had been carefully put together before the fire demon had woken up. He and his assistants had worked on it being as realistic as possible, and it seemed the fire demon believed it. His plan was perfect. When his friends came to get him, he’d trade Hiei for Kurama, but since Hiei now hated his teammates, he would kill them, and it would just be him and Kurama.
“So… they really don’t miss me at all?” Hiei asked.
“Oh no, little fire demon, they don’t,” Karasu said, surprised at Hiei’s calm taking of anger.
Hiei felt an extreme burst of anger and hatred for his teammates, but then realized the only one he was really friends with had been Kurama.
He shrugged and went off to brood in the corner.
Karasu frowned at Hiei’s strange behavior, but left the room to go watch the Spirit Detective and the others look for Hiei. * * *
So, what do you think? I know it’s short, but I’m not good at Karasu or Hiei, really. And I know it seems stupid that a short chapter took longer than usual, it’s because I’m not good at it, and I was busy for the past few days. But I hope you liked it!
