~ * ~

The weather had been getting colder lately. Jordan could see the little specks of snow as they fell gently from the sky and melted almost instantly on the warm ground. Jordan sighed with annoyance, even as she stared out onto the landscape in front of her, the passing cars and warm houses just seemed so wrong to her. Well yes they were right, she knew she wasn't imagining buildings or anything dumb like that, she just felt like there was so much more to life than watching basketball games with cute boys and worrying about how your hair looked, what you were wearing, what people were going to say when you showed up with a belly button ring or any of that crap. |There has to be more|.

Jordan was drawn out of her deep thinking when she heard the distant ring of the doorbell. She knew it wasn't distant but right then it sounded as though it were miles away. She could see the red haired boy from her window, he was in a brown coat, and a pair of jeans and his hair always looked of perfection.

As Kurama was shown into the house she decided she had spaced out long enough, and forced herself away from the window. Before she left her room she checked in her full-length mirror to look herself over. As she looked at herself all she could seem to find were imperfections in her appearance. Sure she was a relatively cute girl, people didn't stop in the street to stare at her beauty, yet they didn't have to get their friends to verify just how ugly she was.

Her long brown hair was soft, and silky but she wanted to cut a few inches off because she had decided all the ends were split. She also had a nice body, she was . . . curvy. Not fat but she had hips and she had a bust unlike most the stick girls in her school. She didn't weigh that much either only 110 pounds but she insisted to others that she weighed less was because she was shorter; she only measured at a meager 5'4”. Jordan was wearing a pair of tight jeans, a white long sleeved shirt that fell off the shoulders and a pink tank top underneath it to prevent it from being see-through as well as showing any cleavage.

There was one thing though that Jordan could not find a problem with on her body, her brilliant bright blue eyes. To her they were perfect, not many girls around here had eyes this color and what more hers changed from blue to green depending on her mood. It was the only thing on her that didn't seem, well ordinary.

Jordan pulled her searching eyes away from the mirror and grabbed her black wool coat along with a bright red scarf and gloves to keep her protected from the cold.

Kurama pulled his jacked tighter to him as he walked the path, the cold wind was rushing in specks of snow and they landed cold and wet on any exposed skin. He dug his hands in his pockets. He looked down at the piece of paper that Jordan had writing her address on earlier that day and was trying his best to follow it.

He found the house in question with out to much dilemma and stood on her front stoop for a moment looking at the house. It was unusual for people to live in house as to an apartment because of the high population and the little land to spare.

((See people you get a lesson in my stories!))

Her house was two stories, he didn't suspect she had a basement; the out side was white with brown shutters on all the windows. On a top window there was a sliding glass door with lace curtains handing in front of it and a steel balcony that came out about a foot and was just the width of the door.

Kurama could almost swear that he saw someone staring out of it but it was dark in there and the curtains blocked any distinguishable things from his view. He pressed his slender finger on the small plastic piece and heard the chime of the bell inside.

Kurama stood patiently as he waited for the door to open, he had been expecting Jordan to answer but to his surprise a boy who looked a few years older than him with dark brown hair and brown eyes stood in the entrance of the door, a soccer ball under his foot.

“Hello, my name is Shuuichi and I am here to pick up Jordan.” He said ever so graciously as he bowed his head and smiled kindly.

The boy looked at him for only a moment before opening the door a little wider and beckoning to come in.

The boy who answered the door called up to Jordan's room before taking a seat on the chair across from Kurama.

“So.” Started the boy known as Kai. “You are picking up my little sister to go on a date?”

Kurama paused for a moment not really knowing how to answer that, he didn't know what she thought this was or if he would upset someone by saying this was one or vice versa. What if he said it was a date and she didn't think he was,

“I just wanted to get to know Jordan a little better, I have had a few classes with her over the years but I never really did anything with her.” He decided that would be a safe answer, not saying that he didn't want anything to happen yet not saying he did and was being politely vague. There fore he couldn't offend anyone with his answer

Kai nodded his head, “So do you do drugs?” he asked completely off the wall.

Kurama stared at him for a moment with his inquisitive ((just to let you all know I spelt inquisitive right the first time ^_^)) green eyes. “No can't say that I have.” He said in the same polite tone as always.

~Speak for yourself ~ came the deep voice of Youko from the back of Shuuichi's mind. Shuuichi, of course, chose to ignore this.

“Do you like to watch porn, you know get it on alone in your room or anything like that?” Kai's tone was just as calm as ever. He was playing with the soccer ball, kicking it between his feet on the floor.

“No.” said Shuuichi; he couldn't believe that this boy was just asking him these questions.

~ Who needs pictures when you can have the real thing all you want? Well actually you're prude so I guess you do need pictures. ~
~ I don't need pictures, you think about it enough to keep my mind in the gutter ~

~ See you do need pictures. ~

~U_U~

“Any group orgies?” Kai acted as if this was the most common question.

Kurama sweat dropped and was about to either yell or just answer the question, he hadn't really decided, but was saved by Jordan. They could hear her footsteps coming from the upstairs and this caused Kai to get up and kick his soccer ball into the other room.

“Hi.” Said Jordan sweetly as she waved to him, “Are you ready to go?”

~ Have an Orgy with his sister than see how he likes asking questions~ said Youko in part to make his counter part blush once again but he didn't like all the personal questions either.

Kurama pushed his kinkier side to the back of his head and ignored his comment. “Yes I am ready.” He stood up and walked to the door to open it for her.

Jordan smiled; it was so nice when boys had manners, if you really thought about it how many guys actually opened doors for you. Maybe that was another reason why people were so attracted to him. |Perfect grades, Perfect hair, perfect manners, too perfect| she thought. |I bet he is really so big pervert underneath it all that would take you on the spot before he learned your name| she thought jokingly.

((I am exercising my right to use irony ^_^))

Jordan and Kurama walked out into the grayness around them, the wind whipping her brown hair around her face as they walked. She sipped up her coat a little more and tightened her scarf around her chin, after that she was fine.

“So what do your parents do? They must make some deal of money for you to have a house that size in the middle of Tokyo,” said Kurama, he was trying to make small talk.

“My family owns two night clubs and three bars between here and Kyoto.” She smiled at him sweetly. “So I sorta know a lot about alcohol and that. I work at the night club down by the La La Port Ski Port.”

((I don't know how they say it in Japan I just heard about it on the Discovery Channel. It is the worlds largest in door ski resort and that is how they said it.))

“I see.” Said Kurama, for some odd reason that seemed familiar to him, like he knew that already. Of course he didn't, like he said before he really didn't know her to well. “So that boy in there, was he your-“

Jordan cut him off, “My eldest brother Kai, he is a bit protective sometimes, he didn't say anything to you did he?” he asked worry flashing over her face.

She remembered distinctly a little while ago when another boy came to pick her up and her brother, Kai, and his friend answered the door and they were so mean to the boy. They called him Bitchy and wouldn't let him see her. Jordan had to bring her mother in there to solve the problem. Needless to say he didn't come back.

“No.” said Kurama reassuringly, not wanting to start a conflict between the family members, he saw the worry on her face and knew then that there was nothing to worry about.

“Ok good.” She said, relief showed instantly on her face.

“Do you have any other siblings?” he asked, trying to continue the conversation.

“Two more brothers, one younger and one older. What about you?”

”My mother is to wed soon and I will have a step brother.” Answered Kurama.

“Oh how cute, is what happened to you dad, if you don't mind me asking?”

”He passed away when I was younger.” The red head answered.

“Oh I'm -“ Jordan paused, just a second ago there was nothing in front of them, now there was a boy. He was almost as tall as Jordan, but she suspected that with out the weird gravity defying hair he wouldn't be quite so tall.

She continued to take in his gaze with her bright blue eyes; he was a slender type and wore all black except for the white scarf and bandana. His eyes were very strange; they were a brilliant red color, even though she wanted to look at them a bit longer she didn't because of his fierce gaze.

“Hiei.” Started Kurama so the little fire demon wouldn't say anything he shouldn't; “This is Jordan a friend of mine from school. Jordan this is Hiei a very old friend.”

“Hi,” she said in almost a squeak. Something about this boy scared her, she didn't know what but to her he seemed very dangerous.

“Hn,” was all Hiei said to the girl before he turned his attention to Kurama. “I came to see what you were up to but since you are busy.”

~ I need to speak with you when you get a chance, it is important ~

Kurama nodded, “Well I will see you around Hiei.”

Hiei started to walk away, not wanting to arise suspicion he waited until the girl looked to Kurama and her attention was off of him before disappearing.

“He was well odd.” Said Jordan as she turned to look for him again but finding nothing but an empty street, save the few passing cars.

“Yes most of my closer friends are -_-.” He told her before shaking his head in a skeptical manner.

“Oh, well at least you and your best friend don't go check out chicks together.” She said before realizing they probably did. “I mean my best friend is a guy and he is gay and he is always checking out hot guys.”

Kurama chuckled, “Well isn't that interesting.”

Jordan shrugged, “The other best friend is so weird sometimes.” She said as she thought about the girl that had hugged her like she had come back from the dead the other day.

Kurama didn't say anything he just laughed once again. The tall school was coming into view. There were lots of kids standing around; it was sort of odd to see the assortment of different colors instead of the usual sea of pink.

As they walked out onto the school grounds giggling girls would smile and wave to the cute red haired boy. Kurama, being the ever so polite boy he was would smile and wave back. Jordan just shook her head and laughed, she thought this was to funny for words.

“Glad you're amused. While you laugh I just might be attacked by those girls.” He said with despair as he opened the door to the gym and allowed her to walk in first.

Jordan still had a smile on her face; she decided he was joking because she couldn't really read any of his emotions.

People say that if you look into a persons eyes, really look, you can find all emotions, yet when she looked into Kurama's eyes she didn't see anything she just saw the emerald depths.

Jordan and Kurama took a seat on the bleachers and removed their coats, gloves, scarves, and any other assortments you can think of to shield them from the bitter cold. Jordan couldn't help but feel somewhat trapped maybe it was from the large group of girls closing in on them and she could tell by Kurama's slightly blushing cheeks he did too.

If Kurama had wanted to have a conversation with Jordan this was a very bad place to bring her. She was really wrapped up in sports, well Basketball and Hockey anyways. When she was watching either one of those events she was away in her own little world.

“Come on swat it!” she called out to him, “What are you doing get in there and play the freaking game!” yelled Jordan over the crowd upset with their players, “Next time plow the little sucker down, don't take that crap!”

Meiou was playing against a school Jordan had never heard of before and she knew she wouldn't forget the team because not only did they dominate this game with a lead of 16 points but they also had a girly school color as well, purple.

Jordan sat back down when the other team called a time out, her cheeks were bright red from yelling and her thirst needed quenching. She grabbed the soft drink that she had gone with Kurama to buy a little while ago.

“You're a bit violent aren't you?” he asked, the same deceiving smile played across his face.

Jordan just blushed which really couldn't be seen because her face was already red in the first place. “Well you know, three brothers all of which get a little wild when it comes to sports. It had to rub off.”

Kurama was about to say something else before Jordan was up cheering again, the game was back on and there was only 5 minuets left before the buzzer sounded the end of the game. Meiou seemed to have gotten a bit of a game plan because their star player, Bou, had made three baskets and now they were only 12 points behind.

“Nice, now if the rest of you wouldn't run around like chickens with your heads cut off we could win this couldn't we!” she called out to them.

Kurama continued to sit where he was, he didn't see the point in this; all they were trying to do was throw a ball in a basket. He respected that Jordan liked it though and didn't comment on how much he didn't care for it.

Something else was troubling him though, he was sure no one else noticed it but there was an odd energy pulsating through the gym. He couldn't get a definite reading because it seemed to be coming from all directions. He hoped that this was just his imagination and nothing serious. He had schoolwork, and his mother to catch up with.

|Maybe Yusuke was right about that girl he was speaking of| thought Kurama as he began to search the crowds as if this would help him find the direction of the energy.

Five seconds left in the game, all Meiou needed was a three pointer and they would win. Jordan was now standing on the bleacher because she couldn't see over the heads of the people in front of her. “Come on” she called under her breath.

She didn't know just how nervous she was but she had just squished the empty coke cup in her hand and the lid had went flying into the back of one of the fan girls heads.

Bou was running up the court the ball in his hand, he hucked it from the three point line and watched as it swished through the net just as the buzzer rang.

“YES!” she called before hugging Kurama and then the boy on her other side just out of sheer excitement.

Kurama had been so focused on the energy's sudden disappearance that he didn't notice that Jordan had hugged him until she was already letting go and going for the boy next to her.

~ * ~

It had been two weeks since that basketball game; Jordan and Kurama had hung out on several other occasions. They had worked on a science project together, went to a hockey game, and they usually walked to and from school together.

Kurama really liked Jordan, he felt like he really knew her. Which he did but he was talking about other things, like he had known her for more than 2 weeks.

The days had gotten continuously colder and the sky looked as if it were threatening to snow. The clouds were big, black, and ominous looking.

Since they day was so gloomy this was one of those days that Kurama and Jordan had decided to take the bus instead of walk. Jordan had a pair of pants on over her skirt and had just about every warm garment on her that she could find. She had on a gray beanie with matching gloves, a red scarf and her black wool coat.

“Jordan, I was thinking. If you are not doing anything tonight would you like to go to dinner with me and if the weather clears up maybe we could go for a walk.”

Jordan stared at him for a moment, he was asking her out on a date, a real date, not just a hang out thing. Jordan pulled her scarf down so she could talk; her face had reddened a bit from her shock.

“I would love to.” Her voice was kind and sweet.

The moment she had said those words her stomach quenched, she felt like she was betraying someone. But how she wasn't seeing anybody.

Kurama felt as if a great weight had been lifted from his stomach yet at the same time it felt as if another one replaced it.

Kurama and Jordan both bushed the thought in the back of their brains and the two had a moment of weird silence between them but they didn't have to deal with it long because their bus had arrived at the school.

Kurama picked Jordan up that night just before 6:30. Kai answered the door once again and gave Kurama a once over. Kurama was wearing white khaki pants and his brown coat which was done up all the way, but what caught Kai's attention was the red rose in his hands which he knew was intended for his sister.

“Come in Shuuichi.” Said Kai while opening the door wide enough for him to come it.

This time Jordan didn't make him wait she came down the stairs, her hair had been put into loose backwards ringlets.

((If you have seen pictures of the Olsen twins with their hair that weird kind of curl I found out how to do it. When you go to ringlet your hair do it backwards by closing your iron around the root of your hair and wrapping the loose end around it you get a girls like that. Thought I would tell you ^_^))

She was wearing a pair of tight dark jeans and a light green shirt that would have been see though had she not put a white under shirt under it. The shirt tied into a bow in the back to make it tight on the front so that it fit to her frame perfectly.

She pulled on her wool coat, scarf and gloves and smiled at Kurama.

“You look beautiful. Here this is for you.” He said as he handed her the rose.

Jordan smiled and took the rose, “Thank you. Kai we will be home later. Bye.” She said while pulling Kurama out of the house before Kai could say or do anything to embarrass her.

“So where are we going?” asked Jordan as she played with her rose that she had forgotten to leave in the house.

“The Hunan Garden.” Said Kurama

~ * ~

“Yusuke you didn't!” exclaimed a happy Keiko.

Yusuke and Keiko had been feuding quite a bit lately and Keiko didn't know what was wrong with him. He wouldn't talk to her or anyone for that matter, he was sulky, and he would never listen to her anymore. She never got his attention and when she would ask him what was always on his mind he would never tell her.

“Yeah I have been a bit of a jerk lately and I need to make it up to you.” Said Yusuke with a smile, glad to see how excited she was. Hoping that this would keep her from getting pissed.

“Where are you taking me?” she asked while grabbing onto his arm.

“Umm that Hunan, then we can come back to my house and watch a movie or something.” Said Yusuke, not really liking the way she was hanging on him in public. Of course he never did, he was just not a P.D.A kind of guy.

Yusuke led her down the street and into the little restaurant where a short skinny lady greeted them. The lady took them to the back and let them sit.

Yusuke took a once over of the place before he froze his eyes were stuck on a girl who was sitting at a table by herself. She had curly brown hair, blue eyes, eyes that Yusuke felt like he could never forget.

“It's her.” He muttered

“What?” asked Keiko she had been looking at her menu, “What did you say?”

Yusuke didn't say anything back because a certain red hair fox spirit was walking back from the direction of the bathrooms. He took a seat next to the girl Yusuke knew was the one that he dreamt about.

What Yusuke saw next was something that he probably shouldn't have seen. Kurama had put his hand on Jordan's cheek and gave her a swift kiss on the lips.

In a matter of seconds Yusuke was up he stomped over to where the two were sitting and grabbed Kurama by the shirt, pulled him up in to the air and held back his fist.

“Get off my girl!” he yelled.

Kurama was caught of guard and Yusuke managed to hit Kurama pretty hard with a right hook in the side of his face.

After that he dropped Kurama to the ground he had no idea why he just hit him but it felt right. Yusuke was breathing hard his mind was racing, he didn't even hear Keiko's sob, her feet pounding the floor, or the entrance door slamming just after her.

Kurama got to his feet, “I have no idea what that was for Yusuke-“ but Kurama cut himself off.

Jordan was on her feet; she rose up her right hand and slapped Yusuke so hard that his face began to glow with the after affect. Jordan held onto her now sore hand.

“I don't even know you.” She said
