Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Worthless Onna ❯ Unveiled ( Chapter 3 )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
You couldn't control yourself; before you knew it you were growling and jumping out of the window. Everyone thought you'd gone insane and watched as you ran towards the forest behind your church. Reaching the source of the noise, an adult wolf and a badly injured kitsune were battling in front of you. Suddenly the kitsune was thrown aside and it didn't get up like it had before. The sight of its motionless and tattered body sent a chill up your spine and a spark danced inside your body with fury. Slowly you looked at the wolf baring fangs and put down your hood, revealing both ears and tail. The wolf picked up on your scent and growled, circling you, and your ears twitched as you snarled and your tail flared. Your veins pulsed with your kitsune blood and your growl echoed in your ears until you felt yourself transform into your true demon form. It was a gorgeous white kitsune with streaks of silver and brilliant sapphire eyes like yours. Those eyes opened and you threw yourself at the wolf, taking hold of his neck and sinking your fangs into him as he howled in pain. He flung you from him and you skidded, only to lunge at him again and he did the same. You met in midair and clawed at each other, he managed to stripe marks across your cheek, but the ferocity in your eyes ignited a flame from your body. Smirking, you lunged again and singed the wolf like a moth to the flame. You landed breathing heavily, collapsing onto the earth, and faded back to your original form.
**
Hours later you woke clutching your throbbing head, but blushed noticing the gashes on your clothes. Then you noticed the bodies. Horrified, you tried to wake them but to no avail. Hot tears stained your face, but when you noticed the blood as you went to wipe them, you froze. You stood backing away breathing in gasps, then shook your head screaming, "NO!" and ran toward the church. You collapsed before the lake and squinted, opening your eyes to your reflection. There, in the water, the one you saw drenched in blood, covered with scars, was a murderer. You punched the water in aggravation over and over until ripples faded. Angry and hysterical, you splashed water on you trying to get rid of the scent of blood, but only the stains washed away. Alas, you walked back to the church, crying yourself to sleep.
You decided training would help get your mind off of everything, and woke earlier than usual and went out with your daggers. You practiced swerving and parrying until your watch signaled it was getting late, so you changed and headed to school. Your crying had made the weather stormy and dangerous, but now only the rain poured on. You were near the entrance when a familiar umbrella was placed above your head.
"Oi Shuichi-kun."
"Hey... what happened yesterday? Where'd you run off to?"
Your eye twitched. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

END OF SCHOOL:
You slammed your locker shut and left school, not feeling very artsy today. However you barely made it out of the gates before you saw a glimpse of metal and swerved around to block with your dagger. It was none other than Hiei, who was glaring coldly at you.
"I see you got your katana back, Jaganshi. Bravo, but I'm not in the mood right now," you said calmly, but had difficulty holding him off.
Hiei tightened the grip he had and glared. "Why are covered in the scent of blood?" he demanded, but only a cold silence followed and soon Shuichi appeared beside him and pulled away his katana.
"Hiei don't be rude. Sorry about that, I don't see why he thinks you're... ah, well, nevermind." Shuichi stuttered and Hiei glared at him and they began to argue as you shook your head and stalked off.

Shuichi and Hiei POV:
They watched you go out of view before Hiei turned to Shuichi angrily. "Think what you want Kurama, I'm still convinced that that is him," Hiei said sheathing his katana.
Kurama (Shuichi) tilted his head. "How can you tell? His face is always covered."
"My point exactly, he's hiding something. You may have had reason to stop me now, but I will get him today. I cannot stand the Ningen World any longer." Hiei disappeared leaving Kurama sighing.

BACK TO YOU:
You continued walking home in silence. /I'll have to keep my eye on those two./ You thought as you reached the church, annoyed the rain was still pouring. For some reason it bothered you now, and you made yourself calm down so the sun would come out of hiding. You could've smiled, but you didn't. Sighing, you made your way inside and down the halls without a word.
"It's... funny. Never would suspect you to be the catholic type. What, no Buddha?" You had only heard that voice once before, but you recognized it as Hiei's and found him sitting on a high pillar hidden in shadows.
"Har-har. Hysterical. Now what do you want?"
Hiei landed in front of you. "I want answers," he said coldly, vanishing, and you saw the shine off his katana before you blacked out.
**
When you woke up you found yourself surrounded by white walls, in fact, everything was white. /Looks like they've finally sent me to an asylum./ You thought smirking, but after recalling what had happened you grunted. /I'll kill you for that Jaganshi./ You jumped off the bed and opened the door, a huge [Anime Sweat Drop] appearing on your head when you saw hundreds of ogres running around with stacks of papers. Moments passed before you were noticed and one walked up to you.
"So you're finally awake. Lord Koenma will see you now then," he said and seeing you had no choice, you followed him.
"SoOo. Is Koenma the Big Ogre around this place?"
"Oh, hah, no, but you'll be surprised anyway."
You tilted your head, but then came to two large, red doors with golden dragons on them. The ogre bowed and ran off as you hesitantly pushed the doors open. You found yourself in an office with a huge TV screen on one wall towards the right, and a desk with a large swivel chair seated behind it. The chair slowly turned revealing a toddler wearing a blue kimono shirt tied around the waist with a red belt and yellow pants, a tall-rounded blue hat that was pink across the bottom with Jr. written in bold, and lastly there was the large blue pacifier in his mouth.
[Eye Fidget] You leaned forward, "Weird little kid, aren't cha?" you said poking him in the stomach twice, which was kind of squishy. Surprisingly, he huffed and slapped your hand away with an [Anime Vein] appearing on his head.
"I am not a toddler! I am Lord Koenma, ruler of all Spirit World and much older than you," he exclaimed, the pacifier bobbling madly.
You didn't respond, you were too busy gaping at the fact a baby had talked to you. When you finally snapped out of it you shook your head, "Suure," and turned around to come faced with Shuichi. You fell back in surprise, and he helped you up, chuckling. There was booming laughter coming from behind him though, which was none other than the bakas Yusukue and Kuwabara. You sighed hoping there would be no more surprises and attempted an escape, only to have Hiei block your only way out. [Eye Fidget] You turned around to find the toddler standing on his desk, staring.
"Well it's obvious you've met the guys already, but I believe this is our first meeting. So please, remove your hood." It sounded like he was trying to sound commanding.
"Hmph. I... can't," you protested, but still if he really was a ruler like he said, this left you uneasy.
Koenma raised an eyebrow, but then grinned. "There's no need to be scared. I'm sure I've seen whatever may be under your hood more than once," he said, reassuring, but at the same time saying this actually made him sound older. Weird. You eyed him suspiciously, but his smile didn't fade and you decided to give it a chance. You removed your hood, your hair falling down your back in waves. Yusukue and Kuwabara gasped.
"It can't be him... Amaya? What, decide to grow your hair and become a Hippie? Hah, you look like a chick!" Yusukue exploded in laughter, knowing it had to be you. He recognized that face, the unordinary silver hair, and that lip piercing you're always playing with.
You clenched your fist, sighed, and nodded letting him know it was you. Immediately after the laughter got louder while Koenma was staring again. Steaming, you shot a glare at Koenma, "What the hell are you staring at, brat?"
Koenma huffed, clearing his throat. "It's just... a kitsune suddenly getting their power... and your name is Amaya? It couldn't be. Amaya, is your last name Izuru?" He had suddenly become serious.
