I've never read battle royale but the way you give character to this girl makes me feel like I would recognize her. There's another manga that has a girl kinda like this...it's called Ayu no Monogitari: Deep Love or Ayu's Story: Deep Love.

Now, I know you posted this to fanfiction.net first, but I couldn't review it there. Very troubled young girl, but then again, writing about troubled characters seems to be your forte. ;) I liked this. Mitsuko was scary as hell in the movie/manga, but when you think about all she's been through, what else shoudl I expect from her? You should write more fanfictiont for her character.
