Title: Catching up on your other stories

True, what I know of Naruto I learned from reading your stories; however, it's hard to believe the characters would have any more life in the series than how you write them. Whatever you write, you imbue with humor, drama and realism. Such a pleasure to read. The theme kept throughout this story, i.e. routines and their values, was nicely brought full circle by the epilogue. In addition, the short flashbacks provide the balancing drama and history to this new relationship. Humor crystallized by details like the Scramble Brain punishment and the misjudged razor selection simply add to the fun of the story. Keep writing!

There's something wrong with my account. It hasn't been informing me of updates. I didn't even know you had a Kakashi/Gai fic until I suddenly got an update on the Lee/Gaara one. Wah! I've been missing out. Lucky I checked your profile after reading the Lee/Gaara one or I'd still never have known. Anyway, this is one amazing fic. Like, absolutely brilliant. I loved a protective Kakashi, giving Idika a tiny touch of 'Fried Brains for Breakfast'. Absolutely wonderful. I adore your work.

Yay! This was a great fanfic; fun to read, very intersting, and maddly funny. You did a really good job. I enjoyed it immensely. :-) I'll make sure to check out that KakaGai commmunity too. Hee. Gai automatically makes any scene he's in more awesome. Still, this was a little angsty for a Gai fic (though perhaps w/ Kakashi it can't be helped...). And I actually find it hard to believe he'd still be a clueless virgin at his age. (or maybe this is what happens when someone gets paired with Kakashi, poor Iruka seems to become a maiden aunt in most KakaIru) Yeah, Gai's kinda a weirdo, but if people with bugs living in them can get hitched, I can't believe some aggressive male or female ninja with ecclectic tastes didn't come on ultra-strong to him some night. Still I don't want to be so negative, because, dude, You wrote a fic with *Gai* as a main char in a yaoi fic. The world absolutly needs more Gai, so this can only be a good thing.

Woo! I really like where this is going. I love how you do Kakashi; you have his character down. Gai is very well done too. The background that you give, how you analyse the whole situation; it's all perfect. This is a really great story, and I'm enjoying it immensely! I LOVE this. You really don't see many KakaGai fics around, but this promises to be good. It's HILARIOUS, got a little action, and the characterisation is just about perfect. I can't wait to read some more! :-) ~Sahara

this chapter was so hilarious! today was a lucky day for me, you posted another chapter of this story, and i found the chapter 29 for Freeport! it's amazing the way you can switch from the deepness and darkness of wufei and duo(which i loooove freeport to death. raygunworks hasn't been updating it and i was getting antsy- so i stalked you all the way to mediaminer ;D), and then write this lighthearted but still kinda' deep naruto fic. i'm especially loving kakashi's inner thoughts when he's with idika--it's so funny. he's so cruel and protective. some of the things kakashi thinks to himself are priceless- like the fire ants and the bubbling lye. the part where Kakashi vomits after gai spews his light of youth spiel was very nicely thought up and funny. good job, and keep writing! your writing skill is so good and it's refreshing after reading some other truly...interesting...fics. your characters really come alive and I can actually believe in the personalities you portray. love it all, keep it up!

It struck me at some point that Kakashi is like a too-cool-Sasuke-all-growed-up at times. Then he subtly and without ego, tries to help a close friend and respected rival. Gai's right: He really is a modern guy. The character voices are really believable, which I appreciate for a scenario that I certainly haven't come across before, no matter how plausible an extrapolation it is. I like seeing Gai this way.
