Riveting. Vividly written. You have effectively given reason to Itachi's choices, humanizing him and creating a believable story of his descent into 'madness'. Brilliant. I don't know what to think of Itachi. Pity him? Hate him? I have always questioned his motives for keeping Sasuke alive and goading him to hatred and revenge, reading this fic gives me even more to think about.

Title: I'm now going insane like Itachi... Reviewed By: vixypixy_no9 [MediaMiner Member] On: February 19, 2006 17:36 CST Comment/Review: OMG... you seriously should think about counseling...but that would just ruin the entire yuminess of the story, no? I can feel what you are going through because I struggle with manic depressive disorder, which often gives ground to some very angsty and drama related fics. However, I found the image in my head of blood quite...arousing. I could so compare myself to anko in all (I love the sight and taste of blood). I very much enjoyed this fic and I hope you continue. This story has had a rather profound effect on me, I now seem to be going totally insane. Losing my sanity like grains of sand passing through my fingers. (Please no one copy that line, I go fucking crazy like Itachi and well, you know...) Anywho, I hope to see you update this lovely fic and finish it for I deeply enjoyed the emotions it stirred within me.

Reviewed By: cheryl On: December 31, 2005 19:54 CST Comment/Review: I've been following your works- from Bearers of the Shards to Lord of the West- and with each piece you only get more and more skillful. This 1st person format you've chosen here is a very difficult one which you handle beautifully. I'm absolutely amazed at the honesty and authenticity you've put into Ichina's character. I'm also a bit stunned by the lack of reviews, but then again, Naruto has a smaller fandom than Inuyasha. (For now- wait 'til the anime gets going in the US!) Again, thank you for your story- I look forward eagerly to the next installment.

Truely brilliant in a morbid way, capturing the human curiousity and reeling it in like a fish, then it leaves you gasping like the hooked fish gasping for life, gasping for truth.....for reason..for why. Yes, why is the ultimate question, not how or what or when. Why? When I read this I was brought back, years ago to under a red ladder, shaded from the harsh sun and the looks of my fellow elementary schoolers. Strangely enough, I asked the same questions as Itachi in the story, I was startled by how well I could relate.I wonder if he felt that strange light yet heavy blankness full of color, the ultimate in between? It's a strange place I tell, have YOU ever been there? You wrote this magnificent piece of literature you must have thought these same thoughts years ago. I wonder, is Itachi's "truth" the same as yours? That's the one point I must argue though. How can truth be one thing? A simple strand of words? Even a thought or an emotion? Does truth even exist? Is it truely an end? Or is there something beyond that? And if truth does exist is it different for everybody based on biased experiences and emotions and points of view? That's the conclusion I've come to, if you wish to call it that. You made me THINK.....I love you. Platonically of course.

Title: Beautiful! Reviewed By: Yuugi-chan [MediaMiner Member] On: December 27, 2005 09:42 CST Rating(s):Style of Writing: 10 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 10 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 9 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: Wow. I've read other fics on Uchiha Itachi's childhood life (in fact I'm writing one myself), but none have ever come close to what I expected them to be. Then I saw your quotes of this on the fanfiction forum and decided that I'd go and check it out. I was surprised when I found out it wasn't like the other Uchiha childhood fics I've read. I read it and I was just blown away. It's beautifully written and your writing style really has a good flow to it. But that's not all. I believe you have actually achived what many people cannot achive (myself included). I believed you have portrayed Itachi in character. I enjoyed this story immediately by the first few sentences and it kept me entertained throughout the entire thing so far. In fact, this story has inspired me to better my own piece of writing of Uchiha Itachi's life and I thank you for it. I hope to see more from you soon, and keep up the good work and beautiful writing style.
