Uh... that was interesting. I think I get the gist of what is going on and of the things to come, but that was just a tad confusing... and a tad rushed. Reading the first chapter gave me the impression of looking on as you connected dot A to dot C while completely ignoring dot B. It gave the chapter a sort of unbelievable feel. Try taking a breather and adding soem descriptions to the scenes. For e.g. when Sanosuke bent down to whisper to Kaoru, you could always add that the other two characters (by the way, why was Megumi there?) felt a surge of jealousy at seeing them act so intimately with each other. Keep writing and good luck with future chapters.

Well, it's an interesting beginning. It seems like Kenshin & Yahiko are the only ones in the dojo though, so where did Megumi, Kaoru, & Sano disappear to? And why was Megumi at the dojo in the first place?
