No, it's not too sappy. Not sappy at all really-at least not in the bad sense. It's sweet, yes, but not sugary or fluffy. In fact, IIIT'S GREEEEAAAAAT!(Frosted Flakes commercials quote) Your writing is very good -- and I never knew that Zen monks made pottery right before a tea ceremony. I'll have to ask my Japanese teacher why and see if she knows(she's from Hokkaido). A question: Do you have a beta, or know where to get a good one? I've been trying, but the only one I found was unreliable and is now avoiding me. If you know where I could get one, that would be a big help. Thanks!
