Oh, hell, I took the 'completed' status seriously. Now I'm going to have fanfic blueballs, possibly indefinitely since this hasn't been updated in years. Damn your skillful writing! I'm going to be chewing on my knuckles until you update this. But for the serious review--I just haven't found enough fic of this quality in my search for fanfic that won't spoil me (since I am the anime type of fan, and only read manga arcs after seeing the fansubs). And let me tell you, this is a lovely, strong gust of fresh air. I know "Diplomatic Relations" and your GW work is what you're famous for, but please don't overlook this gem forever. Think of my knuckles! Have mercy on me.

Very good start. I always like Naruto and Sasuke in Anbu fics. Also the fact that it's Naru/Sasu is a bonus in my book! I'm looking forward to new chapters ^__^

Nuuuu! This one was getting so good! Reflex!? Bah! Twas just as intentional as his STILL choosing to go after Itachi! >< Cosmos! And the way Naruto said 'good luck' to him! I pictured it perfectly. I'm itching to find out what's going to happen in this one!

Ack, I know that you're busy with Diplomatic Relations, but I've come back and reread this story at least ten times by now, and every time, there's that super tense feeling - how's it going to continue, what about Naruto's past, what kind of mission are they're going to get. And the washing mashine really cracked me up. I've finally gotten my hands on a few Naruto mangas, and I am very certain that you've hit Sasuke's personality dead on. Focussed to an extreme, finally grown out of his overly rash actions during the hard school of Orochimaru, still hungering after Itachi's death but restrained enough to know that other things have to come first. And that quiet respect for fighters he knows to be good. Extremely good. (even if he complains about Naruto - wonder how they're going to get along; it is great that you've given Naruto at least some maturity so that their conversations don't go like in so many other stories 'Teme...' - 'Dobe.' - 'Lazy bastard' - 'Hmph.'). And I'm looking forward to your version of Neiji. Definitely a character worth watching for. You realize where I'm trying to go with this? It would be absolutely cool if you could update this story sometime (of course, I understand if you want to get Lee and Gaara together first in their non-relationship)! ~~Sakiku~~

hmm...slow update not too bad, cuz there's no cliffhangers? hmm...i have to say it's bad--aaaaaaagh, even without the cliffhangers, i'm desperate for more of this great fic that you've started!!! so happy that you're doing naruto along with gw =D. yay!

Fabulous story!!^_^ Only the first chapter and already it's giving me goosebumps. It's drawn me in completely. All the little details were perfect; the feel of the clothes, the fighting styles, the sealed chest. The joker mask was a hilarious addition. It cracked me up. A good foil for the memory of torture, which was quite horrifying, without a drop of blood being spilt. You mentioned moving slowly, but I don't find this slow at all; more in the nature of the unwrapping of a present. There's so much tension between the characters already, which more than makes up for any lack of action. Thanks so much for what promises to be a wonderful fic. Cheers!^_^

Mmmmmmh, a new story from you... And this one promises to become as great as all of your other ones. I just have no clue: how do you do that? I've got several plot bunnies, too, but when I try to catch them and make some good story out of them, they end up only half-cooked because either they jump out of the frying pan half-way through or because I let the fire go out. ... Ok, I can't believe I am talking about rabbit stew... Well, back to your story: I'm sorry that I can't help you with Sasuke-POV because it was you who got me started on Naruto. Everything I know about Naruto is from other fanfics, and that is kind of biased by the author's intentions. But in all your other works, I've never seen any OOC-ness (if there is any, it has been explained so well that I didn't register it as OOC), and anyways, your characters are so well-drawn that they are not only three-dimensional but four- or five-D. So you see, there is no way that Sasuke becomes unbelievable. I'm looking forward to seeing what you are going to do with him, how you're going to deal with his past with Orochimaru, his bloodline, etc. Good luck with any further chapters! ~~Sakiku~~
