I'm very hard trying not to cry. I can understand Schuldig for that he didn't want to live that long. Or wanted, but... hadn't wanted it to end like that. I can hardly imagine him as an old man, either. And I feel very, very bad for Crawford. Luckily - if you really can say so - he didn't have to shoot Schuldig in the end. Especially not after that. *sigh* Nonetheless, I think I like the way you ended this. The whole fic was peaceful though sad, and the ending fits it well.
