OMFG... I mean, I've seen many fics like this with Duo, but yours... Man... It just stands out and, frankly, I don't think it's EVER been done quite like this before! I've enjoyed every chapter and I do so hope you plan on continuing. Don't make me resort to cruel and unusual torture now! LOL Your story funckin' rocks, you rock, and I'd hate it if you don't continue! **cries** Though, honestly, Howard?! Man... You're cruel, just too cruel you evil sonnuva... On an interresting sidenote: I got the most funniest call ever from Girls Gone Wild Videos while in the middle of reading a chapter... -_-; They wanted to invite me to a party at a hotel in Atlanta or something like that, wanting to give me a codeword to get in and all. LOL The chick was hitting on me hardcore, and I honestly think it was a prank. But still... I should've humored it instead of getting dorky and embarrassed! Now I'm kicking myself in the ass for turning them down. >.< It would've been worth a laugh or two, really. =P Oh well... Nuff of my rambling... **mummbles stuff about hating myself for being easily embarrassed sometimes**

So glad you updated. you made my day. yesterday was my last final exam and i wasn't too up for anything. wel to be honest i haven't read this chappie yet but i'm saving it so i can read it when i'm in more favorable surroundings...my bed, in front of the tv perferably. but i trust that its excellent nonethe less. anyway ga to go.update soon plz.

that was less of a cliffhanger??!! Duo fucking bleeding to death and that's not a fucking cliffhanger?! GAH!!!!!!!!!! i friggin hate you....*pouts* you're mean and eville (lol on your response to my other review) and and and and....uh......your toe is gonna fall off or something!! update!!!!! and don't dance anymore. you hurt yourself you can't write or update...then that'll suck.

"The walls we build around us to keep out the pain also keep out the happiness..." Excellent work! The darkness and love create a cool equilibrium in your story. Many authors create truly unbalanced stories but even so most of them turn out alright. But I can appreciate yours because the balance is present and flows nicely. i hope my boy Duo finds peace and learns to fear death. i wish that he would find someone he can love enough to give up his way of life for or at least someone who understands and let him be...well Duo. Anyway, i'm lookin' forward to the next update.

Hey! Nice to see ya back! I've missed your updates! Your characters (especially Duo-who is my fav) are always so gritty and unpredictable. Truthfully, I'm always slightly anxious as I read your fics as I'm worried you'll turn Duo completely psychopathic and, though I like him with the rough-edges, I still think underneathe it all he is still a good guy. I hope you update this (and all your other WIP's, which I've also read) soon!!!

LOVE the voice! It feels very realistic and gritty, like I'm there on the hard Chicago streets. The interaction between Duo and the cops interests me. The first person view, paired with the realistic setting, gives this piece the feel of an original fic; it's hard to remember it GW. Good job, please continue!
