Comment/Review: Well-written and you seem to have a knack for exploring the psychological recesses of the human (or should I say Saiyan?) mind. You capture Vejita's lonely torment perfectly.

Title: excellent vigniette Reviewed By: Trynia Merin On: August 19, 2006 20:27 CDT Rating(s):Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: I really thought this was a brilliantly done fiction. It makes so much sense with the cannon, and it shows Vegeta's transference of the connection he made with Future Trunks to building one with his own son. So much of what Vegeta feels for Bulma after the Cell games seems to develop as his relationship with his son improves. It seems that Trunks in both forms teaches Vegeta to care and to love. And I see the roots of this in your fanfiction. Well done.

This is exactly what I imagine life after the cell games to be for him. I also love Bulmas craftiness, it was in a reallt gentle and lovin way though.

Lovely story. Vejita's surly reluctance, Trunks unconcern, Bulma's tactfulness. And Vejita naturally growing to realize what he still has. Wonderful!

Your take is so much simpler and, I think, much more profound. Vegeta's calm epiphany regarding Trunks is beautiful. My only criticisms would be there seemed to be a lot of adverbs. You do such a marvelous job setting the tone and atmosphere; I think some of them weaken the otherwise strong text. Also, I thought referring to Trunks from the other timeline as "Mirai" really stuck out.

Such a deceptively simple idea and you turn it into a deep exploration of Vegeta - his depression and his strengths - even the ones he is unaware of. Even Bulma is treated kindly, her seemingly instinctive understanding of Vegeta, giving him time and space to heal - and a reason to do so. *bows*
