This story is incredibly good right up until the last sentance. Having her sit him probably seemed like a good way to lift the mood and end on a happy note but it's too much of a shift and it's jarring. Everything else is spot on. I was happy to see Souta have a role in this and that Shippou wasn't forgotten. Sesshoumaru's insistance on calling Kagome Inu's mate was a good way to lighten things in the middle.
