Great chapter as always. I don't know what I can say now that I haven't said before. Perfect. Intense. Enthralling. Again perfect.

I must say that although I don't write professionally I am a good writer and I can appreciate a great story. I just happened upon this story accidentally and I really enjoy the perspectives you're using, as well as the side story (that I'm dying to get to). My only gripe besides a few grammatical errors is that you delete flame reviews! I keep reading your posts at the end of the chapters and don't know what they're responding to. I really enjoy hearing ignorant people (and flaming them back!)who have nothing better to do than flame a talented writer and you're ruining my extracurricular fun!!! Anyway regardless of what anyone says take the constructive and drop the destructive that's what makes a true writer. Can't wait to get to the end of this story, so far I'm impressed enough to fail my course! By the way the true ID's Hunny, not afraid of e-mail spam I'm just more of a Fuzzy Toad today, you know Vodka and all!

Title: Chapter 30 Reviewed By: Cantare [MediaMiner Member] On: June 06, 2006 14:08 EDT Comment/Review: The part that struck me most about this chapter was not that Bulma waited for Vegeta or that he went out into space again and purged planets again, but that he respects Yamcha. I guess I never imagined that Vegeta would ever accord such respect to his rival, especially someone who killed himself after losing his cat. Bulma thinks he's a good man--I think that now it shows something about him that's good. I am glad to see that part of him, literally standing up for a man who was his enemy and acknowledging that Yamcha was a good person who could have been a better husband to the woman they both loved. Vegeta and humility don't go together often. But you made them go together well.

Title: Chapter 29 Reviewed By: Cantare [MediaMiner Member] On: June 06, 2006 14:04 EDT Comment/Review: I knew this was coming. An angst-ridden chapter where one of them has to bring up the topic of their mutual attraction seriously. Of course I was on edge by the end of the chapter. Knowing how the story turned out doesn't change how one feels when reading about how the ending came about eventually. Right at the beginning when you say that Vegeta was accustomed to using people as conveniences...that reminded me of a message I heard at a winter retreat for church. The speaker asked us what the opposite of love was. Of course there are several answers--hate, indifference, etc. But she said something that made us all think. "Use" is another antonym for love (the verb). To use someone is not to love them...and I'm glad to see a kind of acknowledgement of that in your story.

Title: Chapter 28 Reviewed By: Cantare [MediaMiner Member] On: June 06, 2006 14:00 EDT Comment/Review: This chapter is somewhat personal to me, as I just did a project for someone I like that took a lot of time and effort. Not that there are two competing guys in my life, but just the image of Bulma working hard and secretively to make an amazing gift for someone she cares about just struck a chord with me. People are worth our time and hard work. I find that time spent doing those things is more worthwhile than most other activity.

Title: Chapter 27 Reviewed By: Cantare [MediaMiner Member] On: June 06, 2006 13:57 EDT Comment/Review: For someone who has undergone a lot of bitterness with relationships, you are amazing at writing romance. It's romance that stays real even while it explores two impossible characters. The reason people read romance is because they want it for themselves, and somehow don't find it anywhere in the real world. I think that the reason people write romance, though, is because they somehow know in their hearts that this is the way love is supposed to be, and writing is a struggle to describe love, though imperfectly.

Title: Chapter 26 Reviewed By: Cantare [MediaMiner Member] On: June 06, 2006 13:53 EDT Comment/Review: This is SO ironic and funny. The job I have right now is to give orientations to Irish students coming to the US to find temporary jobs. This month alone I'll see over 300 Irish students, all college age or older. It's so funny because almost every one of them asks where the pubs are (after they get the important questions about social security and transportation out of the way). That aside, this chapter was awesome. What a scenic place for a first kiss.

Title: Chapter 25 Reviewed By: Cantare [MediaMiner Member] On: June 06, 2006 13:49 EDT Comment/Review: Music. I love it. Thank you for writing about the power of music and fiction here. That Vegeta could be touched by that after a lifetime of killing and purging again shows the power of beauty in the unspoken. I've actually never watched phantom of the opera, but now this gives me an added incentive to. By the way, I have played piano since I was five, and I love music. It speaks to me in a way that good writing does. It's cool that even characters in a story can experience that.

Title: Chapter 24 Reviewed By: Cantare [MediaMiner Member] On: June 06, 2006 13:46 EDT Comment/Review: It looks like mediaminer can't handle a new review within the same hour. Well, I apologize for posting the same thing twice. I have never imagined Bulma's life the way you portrayed it. I think it's wonderful that Vegeta is just as much as fascinated with her past and what made her who she is as she is with him. In too many fanfics it's all about the physical attraction or how she's the only person who could ever stand up to him in an argument. This is so much more than that. Thank you for exploring her past and all the unique traits about her that Vegeta is interested in even though he doesn't tell her.

Title: Chapter 23 Reviewed By: Cantare [MediaMiner Member] On: June 06, 2006 13:43 EDT Comment/Review: I am going to review every chapter I read today because this story is that awesome. It woke me up. Your words are alive. I have always marveled at that. The life that shouts and springs and seduces from every passage and character. This chapter was romantic. I loved it. Yes, man is saved through love. I couldn't agree with you more. I love redemption stories, especially ones about Vegeta. There is no one alive who has committed as many atrocious crimes as he has. But a redemption story tells humanity something--that a monster like Vegeta is just a man. The deciding factor that qualifies a man for redemption is not the list of his sins, but the power of the redeemer. And Love...who is more powerful than Love?

Reviewed By: Medeia [MediaMiner Member] On: May 30, 2006 02:29 EDT Rating(s):Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: I was eyeing this about a year ago on aff.net but since I avoid yaoi I didn't read it. To this day I don't understand why heterosexual women write about male/male relationship. I guess its the new style or something. I really cant see the beauty in it. Oh well...The truth is I don't know why I started to read it now. I guess curiosity got the better of me and I remember you got a lot of really good reviews. So I didn't regret it. Its one of best piece of Dragonballz fics I had the fortune to read.

I was evestated when this was accidently deleted off AFF so this is just awesome. I just wanted to say thanks before I started reading!

Reviewed By: Addict606 [MediaMiner Member] On: January 29, 2006 18:08 EST Comment/Review: You know I love it so how could I not write a review. Although I've read these chapters many timea I still get impressed. Even if people don't review at least they are reading which is the point, right? Anyway about the story, I love Tazial he's probably the only OC I can stand because he seems so right. The first 2 chapters are the perfect lead up because we're dying to see Vegeta but have already been sucked in and now can't turning back. I hope you keep posting even if there are lack of reviews because always know you have some loyal fans. Thank-you, Addict
