I have read this story countless times and I still can not believe that Sess would kill Rin. In his own way Sess loves Rin and would rather let her go than kill her. What is the purpose of saving her life countless times but to kill her with his own hands! Well done even if I don't agree with the ending.

Ok, I've read your story and 1 Sesshomaru is in character/Rin is in character and I can totally see that happening. However, unlike some of the other reviews, I don't think he's heartless because he gave in to her request he showed mercy. Now, for the killing factor, again I believed he showed mercy because he's ruined her for other males. Think about it, she loved him and he does EVERYTHING with perfection even if he isn't trying, how is a mere mortal man going to compare to him? And besides, for her to probably have gotten pregnant, he didn't need another half breed hanyou running around, that's why he killed her.

this is one of the most remarkable rin/sess fics i've read. i have read many angsty, tear-jearkers about these two, but this is just something else! i loved it, but damn, i just feel so empty now. are you going to write more on this one? i hope so, but i don't see how you could if he killed her and won't revive her. : ( beautifully tragic.

Okay. I respect your creative writing. Technically, it is very strong. His perspective was very logical, very fastidious, very, very in character. Emotionally,however, the killing of Rin took a way bit of imagination (yet you did it so excellently!!). Being an avid Sess/Rin, personally to me, no matter how bad-a**ed as he seemed to be, how cold, how aloof he's portrayed, he just didn't seem capable of hurting her one iota (not even thinking about it much less executing on the impulse)..... Your thinking-outside-the-box really made your story memorable. My romantic side just wanted to rebel at this sheer heartlessness of it all. As a writer, if you are able to evoke emotion/controversy from your readers, be it good or bad, then you have accomplished your goal (and you did). Good job!

Your Sesshoumaru is a cold-hearted entity, but even so I can't see him bothering to couple with Rin, much less kill her. It would be much more in character for him to just walk away from her. He does feel some responsibility for her, and respects the fact that Tenseiga chose to reanimate her. This would preclude him allowing anyone to kill her, much less himself. He may not love her, he may not want her, but he feels his obligation to her. Sad subject matter and heartbreaking plot notwithstanding, very, very well-written. Thank you!

Oh my... that was good. It's sad, but also think that this could have been a thing he would do. Sesshomaru is Sesshomaru, and no one can denie that fact, not even all the fluff about his soft side that's written. It's just the way it is, and you did a perfect job writing it! (as ever ^.^)

you weren't lying about the dark part. we all know he's a heartless bastard, but i could never see him killing rin. then again, who knows? whosoever crosses the great and powerful fluffy-sama shall lose their life! at least she got to touch the fluff before she went. ;)

Well...it was a mind binder you left us trying to figure out if he killed her because he lost control of his lust or if he killed her to be kind to her in a way since he knew her love for him would not end. Or did he kill or for other reasons LOL, good job

I'm...at a loss, that has to be the saddest thing ever. It's sadder than watching a litter of puppies get beaten over the head with a fish. Yet...it's...realistic, I could see him doing that, which is even sadder.

Oke…that was bloody brilliant. You are so much more worse than chocolate I'm addicted to everything you write and my mind just imploded when I saw you wrote a Sessh/Rin (they are one of my fav parings) fic. At first I screamed when you left out the lemon but I figured out why you did it. My head is spinning because I really don't know which story I could like more. You really made Sess into a heartless bastard and I wouldn't have him any other way. I want to say more like a crazyfangirl. But will patiently wait (in agony) until then next update.
