This is an incredible story! I have read Tomaru's story, and I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of Sess/Kag pairings, but I found myself strangely happy that it happen in the first story. Which lead me to want to read the sequal, and once again I find myself captivated to the story. Also I loved the cliff hanger you left for us in chap 16, but I ask if you would please continue Tomaru, it's such good work. -Tora out

Wowee!! I'm on tenterhooks! Please update! Will Kagome go through the well?! CAN she go through the well?! I can't wait to find out! Please update soon and end the suspense! I promise to write another fantastic and utterly verbose review as, soon as ou do, honest - cross my heart and hope to die. I think that she should go through the well and see her mother again, no matter what the consequences - she must really miss her family, and seeing them should be her first priority. I'm amazed that she was able to live so long without seeing them in the first place - If I were her, I would be constantly imagining my family grieving for me and thinking that I was dead for twenty years, and the idea would haunt me. So please let me know what happens soon! Domo Arigato Gozaimashita!

About a month ago, I read "Tomaru's Story" for the first time, and thought it was quite good. Now, imagine my surprise when I was scrolling through my 100+ list of favored fanfiction and saw "Tomaru's Story" again. I reread it, liked it more than ever, and then saw you talking about a sequel in the author's notes and on your profile. I went straight to it and read it over the past hour, and liked it just as much as the first. I love the descriptions of costume and setting that are thoughtfully placed throughout the story - they add a level of depth that is rarely seen in the fanfiction world, and I, for one, like to know what they were wearing and how their hair was done, if it was exceptionally interesting or old fashioned. It does get on my nerves when I read an AU where the author is constantly describing the brand name and cut of every shirt and pair of pants that the characters are wearing, but I like to read descriptions of kimono, obi, and hakama coloring and embroidery. I love your portrayal of Sesshomaru throughout these fics - his reasons and emotions are believable, a feat which is generally difficult to achieve in writing without a great deal of hard work. Kudos to you for getting me to like a SessKag - I am generally a devout hater of this pairing, on principle and because of the potential plot holes and forced situations which follow, but this fic managed to mostly avoid these problems. But when InuYasha's dead, I don't have such a big problem with this pairing. Oh, on that tack: when Kagome brought InuYasha back with the jewel and he was all tainted and crazy, was it because she used the jewel for an impure wish, or because she pulled him back when it was his time to die, or was this creature that came back not really him at all? I was a bit confused about why this happened to him. Kagome is a bit of a pushover in this story, but that's okay, because her sweetness is necessary for this story to work. I will suddenly switch topics now, to another area of questioning and interest: Will Shippo hook up with Rin? Because they seem like a good pairing to me, and I would like to see Rin in love and taken care of. Another question: why couldn't Kagome originally get back through the well, but Tomaru can now? It makes no sense - will you please reveal the secret soon? I hope that Kagome goes through the well and sees her mom and shows her all of the children - I feel really sorry for her mom, losing her daughter without a trace for twenty years. In terms of Tomaru and Haruko and Keiji and Niji, I would vote that he ends up with Haruko, but then I don't know what you would do with Niji - I mean, Keiji could mate with one of Tomaru's younger sisters (the ones who are 16 and 17, respectively) but where would that leave Niji? Out in the cold, with no boyfriend - Tomaru's younger brother is waaaaaay too young for her. I leave this problem to you to solve, and I have complete faith that you will work out a solution that is completely satisfactory to me and all of your other readers. Just to let you know, I love to leave long reviews for every fic that I read - I figure that if I'm going to leave a response, then it should certainly be a good one. More queries: Um, it would be kinda gross if InuYasha was inside Tomaru's head when he was mating with either one of the girls - couldn't he fulfill his mission as Tomaru's advisor and move on to the spirit world or something? And why is InuYasha so okay with Kagome being mated to his brother? You'd think he'd want to use Tomaru's body to talk to Kagome and make up with her. Him still "being there" is kinda tying down the story . There were a couple of too-typical SessKag events in the first "Tomaru's Story", such as Kagome healing Sesshomaru's arm and his taking her back to care for Rin, but on the whole, these conventions did not interfere with the story as a whole.
