You've got a strong beginning of the story, it hooked me into the story. Which is obviously a plus. Though, I'm not sure if "beyond our fair borders" sounds natural. I mean, who would think 'fair' borders? I liked the description of Kang's reaction to the letter, except for the pupils widening. I thought pupils grew smaller when faced with shock or dismay. 'the green grass that bordered the river looked as though they flowing like the water itself.', the 'they flowing like, is awkward, you're missing a word. And well, wow, I really liked the ending, great way to wrap it up. Not too cheesy or anything. Nice story, Gan. -Rini

Well that was a nice story. The basis was a coming to terms with what can't be changed and what can. In the end fate was taken out of his hands, but he did make a difference. Nice theme. Thanks for letting me read this.~Fan
