Freaking FFN wouldn't allow me to post my review there, so I messaged you this, but thought I'd throw it on here, to. Oh my god. I had just written a HUGE review for you, and stupid freaking FFN decided to 404 me. Now, it won't let me post a review at all. I hate this site. I hate it so bad. Okay, first of all, let me say that I think your greatest feat was your portrayal of Cid. His insecurity and disillusionment was the perfect depiction of a man who thought he had it all but finally realized he had nothing. His obsessiveness and desperation was the perfect depiction of a man who had found it again. This story was passionate and emotional and so unbelievably good that I'm sitting here in awe. You made the Cid/Yuffie pairing amazing and thought provoking and above all - plausible. I can't stress how in character and well done you made them both. I'm gushing, I know, but forgive me. I've been reading your Aurikku as well, as I'm a fan of those two. I'm currently working on my second fanfic for those two, but it's slow goings. I'm usually a Reno/Yuffie fan, but after watching Advent Children, we discussed the Cid/Yuffie pairing and voila! I lucked out and found your story... But I never knew a Ciffie would be so good. So filled with passion and anger and realism... Now, because of how good this was, I'm going to go read your Yuffentines. However, I think you've mad a Cid/Yuffie fan out of me. By the way, since you like odd pairings like me, have you ever considered writing a Reno/Yuffie? Advent Children opened up that one for me as well. Also, if you still need anyone to proofread, I'm competent enough, and would be more than happy to help. If not, that's fine. Okay, I'll shut up now.

Well, considering this fic just kept me up until 5:30 am, I'd say it's a very good read. :) It's been a long time since anything kept me glued to the computer and not asleep for that long. Well done! The characters were good, and there's a nice sense of the world in there.

what can i say? triple wow! cid and yuffie are my favorite secondary characters in FFVII, cid, cute in a crass way and yuffie with her teasing and fun personality. they are uncomplicated characters without hangdog expressions on their faces. i always used them in gameplay and i have always imagined what it would be like for them to get together and fall in love if the game was made into a novel. and i'm happy to say that you had written it pretty much the way that i imagined it would be. i also applaud the way you've given the other characters depth (especially reeve!), staying true to the way they are portrayed in the game, and some. best of all, i love how your story made me laugh. everything was light, easy and spontaneous, and anybody who has read this story would take a second look and agree that yeah, cid and yuffie are a natural as a couple. thank you so much! looking for more stories like this from you in the future :D

This is one of the best fanfics that I've ever read, seriously. 10 all the way through! I first found this story in the Final Fantasy Citadel and was so happy when I found the rest of the story here. If you could, could ya update this story on the other websites you posted this on, please? I love the way that you wrote this, it makes me jealous in comparison to my own quality of work. I just have to work harder to write this well I guess. (P.S. Please write more stories!)

I can't possibly give you enough acclamations, praise, or cookies to possibly show you how much I love you at this precise instant. You've opened new worlds for me, and they're frightening, wonderful worlds full of horrible things and wondering endings. I love Cid. He's always been my favorite character, and I've always loved seeing good portrayals of him. Let me say that this wasn't a "good" portrayal of him - this was the BEST portrayal of him. Once more, you've made me fall in love with the cussing, the cigarette stained lips, the strong hands and the chiseled features. Let me also say that it took me a long time for me to love Yuffie. She seemed to me in the game too frantic, and out of place in the story. You, in these painfully short chapters, put more into her, into Advent Children, and into the GAME itself than I ever could have imagined. I've always wondered about pairings. I'm a fan of Yuffentines mostly, and I dabble in yaoi pairings, but you've made a pairing I only thought about in "I can't believe no one wrote that" WORK. And, by "work" I mean "show promise and poetry and passion and heat in every waking moment". I just finished reading your Aurikku fic at ff.n (I left praise there, too), and I can't believe that a simple click on a link or two led me to this - staying up three hours past bedtime on a night where I'll get six hours to start with. There was nothing wrong with this story. Not with the plot, not with the characterization, and definitely not with the spelling or grammar. I loved reading it - I scared the hell out of the cat with the squealing and the swearing and the leaping around the couch like an idiot - and your style of writing is like the words of god spilling from the heavens and cascading onto this page, filling every word with power and elegance, grace and the knowledge that "all is as it is meant to be." That, of course, made little sense, but that's because I can't write like you. I really loved that epilogue - it's the part that gave you the right to steal away my children. Seriously, first through fifth. So, thought about continuing it? A loving fan, "V".
