Well, I found my way over here somehow. I'm usually lurking around ff.net, thinking that the best is more often than not over there. But then I remembered that MediaMiner had Kirika's "Absence", one of the best ever. Regardless, I'm going to suppose that the next time Mai and Mikoto meet will be in the Black Valley. And by what I've seen, each will be the other's eternal companion (several years by the time Otome ends, as opposed to HiME's few months). Truthfully, I read your Loose Threads fic before this and feel happier for Mikoto now. Excellent writing, not that I ever expected anything less from you ;). Entertainment factor was over 9000 heh. I've always primarily been a ShizNat fangirl at heart, but now your portrayals have (reluctantly) made space for MaiKoto as well. The scores are just my being stupidly picky since I can count the number of fics I've rated 10 on one hand (and read Giving In not to long ago and am thus in a fuzzy-fit).

I was very impressed with this the first time I read it and I still like it now. Very clever and creative.... Shanejayell
